Firehouse Subs review: Poor experience at firehouse

My family decided they wanted sub sandwiches yesterday and after much discussion, we decided we wanted Firehouse subs. We checked to see what specials you might have and saw that you were running a buy 1 get 1 special that could be used via your app or in store.

My son and I went to your store located at 6041-A Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209 and upon being met at the register we stated we wanted to order subs using the B1G1 special. The young man at the register shrugged as if he had no idea what we were talking about, so I said it was on the internet. He said, "no, I think that is just online". I said, "no, it said in-store or via the app" so he asked a female employee, and she said it was internet orders only. They were both wrong and I was annoyed with their lack of knowledge and indifference, so we left and went to another sub shop.

I came home and double-checked what I had read on the internet and sure enough, it said, "Buy one sub and get one free, valid in store or through the app today only".

I am a 1st responder, so I have always appreciated how much Firehouse has supported 1st Responders. Your subs are the best in the business but, everything has gotten more expensive and the competition for customers has gotten tougher. For lack of understanding their own specials and the indifference shown to us, that store lost a customer that had come prepared to buy 6 sub sandwiches.
