My wife and I went to Firehouse Subs in Barrie, Ontario, at about 6:00 PM on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026. We went speciffically to get their special Thanksgiving Sub, which we saw advertised on TV. It looked so good, stacked high with turkey, dressing and cranberry sause. We were informed when we ordered they were out of Cranberry sause! This is on the advertised special! We still ordered it since we were looking forward to it. When we got it it looked nothing like what we saw on TV or on the poster board in the restaurant. There wasn't nearly the amount of meat. We were disappointed. False advertising! Also, the gravy, which we had to pay extra for was much thinner than what we saw on TV. This should have been offered free in light of the fact they couldn't supply cranberry sause.
Claimed loss: Not as advertised.
Desired outcome: They should plan better to not run out of what is being promoted and thicken their gravy.

You really don't read carefully. I was not trying to get free food. I paid full price for my wife and I, for a product that was not as advertised. I was saying the gravy was thin (and there wasn't much of it). In light of the fact they had no cranberry sause (which really makes the sandwich), the place should have offered free gravy as a substitute for the sause. That's how you do good customers relations. There were other customers who were also disappointed there was no cranberry sause.

It is YOU who cannot read. You said this should be given for free. Meaning you want free food. Nice try LIAR.
I just want free cranberry sause, this incident made me so upest that I hurt my wife in anger and now she is thinking of leaving me.
I said the sause should be given for free, especcially since this made me argue with my wife and hit her.
Learn how to spell. Sauce, not sause and they cannot give free gravy. If you cannot afford gravy do without.
UPDATE
After this I was sulking. My wife told me to snap out of it. I hit her, across the face, she is leaving me and having charges pressed against me.
