East Side Mario's Service

We were visiting the area with my daughter and decided to get lunch at Mario’s today. My daughter had a burger and I ordered a wrap (Nothing special) The owner of the place “Rachel” brought our order. I forgot to mention I cannot eat fried things, so we asked if it was okay to change to grilled chicken, she clearly did not like that and used a VERY unpleasant tone and mentioned we’d have to pay for the new wrap, and then proceeded to ask “ what am I supposed to do with that? “ as in the wrap. I don’t know maybe give it to your staff? Give it to another table? she didn’t give me the opportunity to explain my health issues. And on top of that the server ordered the the wrong sandwich for my daughter and the owner also wouldn’t even let the server get a word in. If you want to own a restaurant, YOU SHOULD NOT TREST YOUR COSTUMES THE WAY YOU PROBABLY TREST YOUR STAFF. 👎🏼

Ordered three items from the menu. Prices clearly shown. Waitress Leah pleasant and smiling asked would you like cheese with your order (was asked separately on each item) my wife and I said yes. when we got the bill there were extra charges for the cheese $2.99, $1.99 and $2.99. No mention was made by Leah just kept smiling knowing these charges would...

East Side Mario's Manager of restaurant

Guelph line Burlington restaurant don’t go Ordered in the afternoon for a 530 delivery nobody showed up I called at 545 to ask where the order is and they said they had no one to deliver and they didn’t have the curtsey to call me We were interrupted in a business meeting The manager then tells me I should if called the restaurants directly which I did but her staff would not take the order and told me to call the answering service that takes the order

They told me at 545 we have nobody to deliver and refused to send the order after they took my credit card payment for $215

Never go there again snd I will contact the recipe chain

I Never wanted to write a review for my best food place. We go there every weekend. We went yesterday at 7.10

Got seated at 7.16 pm. got server at 7.20 pm and ordered (Tanishk) from the beginning the server was rude because we're Sikhs and the server was Hindu. (the only reason I can c) We ordered greeted him with smiles but the response was rude from beginning, I can only assume because how we look there can not b any other reason. We waited till 7.55 no drinks, no bread and (Tanishk) served everyone around us not use. I had to go request the manager to give us as we had 2 kids and a family of 6 hungry for food. Then the manager (Jay) served us with excellent service. We enjoyed the food but every time (Tanishk) pass by us, we got ignored and felt very awkward. With a big restaurant chain like this was not expected.

I am pretty sure the manager or management will talk to the server once and teach him this is not nice.
Very disappointed
Ruined our weekend mood

All Hindu people hate us Sikhs. One Hindu baby started crying because he was afraid of us for being Sikh. He looked at me with pity and hatred. he was probably less than a year old and already he was discriminating against me. So I grabbed the stroller and threw the baby to the ground. I faced charged. The mother tried to stop me, but I was too quick. She then checked on her baby, and her husband started pounding me. He faced no charges but I face charges.

East Side Mario's My paid for one day work

Hi,

On August 24th, I went to the restaurant for my fist day work as a waitress After 1 hour, I'll found that restaurant not that much busy. To much waitress for a few table only and I was care for the other waitress's tables. I decided to not come back for my second shift on friday.

On septembre 5th, I've received my paydstub but no deposits were made today. I also received another paydstub for another period but I don't know why because I was not there at this moment.

I tried to reach the director but without success. The administrative of the restaurant look very bad.

East Side Mario's Don't Bother going. Used to be our Favorite!

Worst experience ever had & I go out alot. Ordered veal-got chicken I had to saw through. Dry & burned. No drink to wash down with nor any bread, Which had to be asked for numerous times. Finally got drink just before bill which I cldv used choking down the imitation veal. She took my meal for a tour so by the time I got it - cold! Cldn't complain as she never showed up. Asked for condiments but by the time she dropped them off it was cold. Bread wldv been nice with the soup that I asked for 3 times. We used to go a couple of times a month & travelled a distance as we don't live there. Plus to me she was rude until she dropped off the bill. If I cld minus I would.

East Side Mario's Felt hurried

July 16th., 2023 4.25. Waitress Christie.

No faults with taste of food, quality of service and waitress very attentive.

However at restaurants usually ask servers not to bring main course until salad finished. I forgot to ask this time and had only second mouthful of salad and entree was there. Not only does table get crammed but meal gets cold while we hurried on salads. Caesars were fine, would have liked to enjoy more!

Only item of note on meals is that on entrees, 3-4 pieces of mushroom were $2.99 and same amount of broccoli was $3.39. I know times are hard but...

Finally still eating and bill arrived.

Can see servers are guided by management as to how things are done but at that time of day, there were vacant tables. We were told that they like to close tables in case they get busy. See that but let customers finish and if you were busy, we would not just sit there when others were waiting.

Sure, we'd all come back. As said, food was fine, coffee kept coming and waitress very capable and pleasant.

Desired outcome: Not looking for 'freebies', or for that matter fast food Marios. Please just ease upon which felt like moving us through.

East Side Mario's Restaurant standards and cleanliness.

Standards.

Restaurant was dirty, windows, floors covered in grease. Woman’s toilets out of toilet paper, toilets were disgusting, door broken in woman’s toilet stall. Men’s toilets out of toilet paper toilets were also dirty and floors were disgusting.

We were there for over 2 hours and three tables that were dirty and not cleared when we arrived had still not been cleared by the time we left. The place was filthy.

Food.

Salad served with old brown lettuce and soft flowery tomatoes.

5 out of 6 Main meals served cold.

I do want to point out that the server was very good and was clearly trying very hard to operate in an absolute disaster of a situation. Management clearly has no idea what they are doing!

Desired outcome: Someone needs to have a chat to management. If I owned this restaurant and walked in to what I witnessed at this location today I would be appalled.

East Side Mario's Food/food safety

I was served mozza sticks that were actually cold in the center, booda boomers had raw dough on the outside, salad was soggy with rotten pieces, and there was so much sauce to cover it up, and MY CHICKEN WAS PINK! server yelled at the kitchen and we heard from across the restaurant. They only took 20% off our whole bill when everything was sent back after one bite. Milton, Ontario east side Mario’s is a safety issue.

East Side Mario's Managers handling of end of night procedure and complaint.

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, I finished my job at 8:10pm. (York/Locke). I checked my phone for hours of East Side Mario’s in Dundas as I was closest to that one. It said 9:00pm. I arrived at 8:25pm. It said honk to be seated but no working horn, so I made a point of standing where I would be seen by someone. 2 waitresses made eye contact without any acknowledgement otherwise. I walked into the dining room, no one came. Another party of 4 arrived and I let them know I had been waiting for 15 minutes. 5 minutes passed and we all decided to just go and sit down. At that point, a young girl came out and said that the kitchen was closed. I was upset, I challenged her, explained how long I had been waiting and she didn’t budge, so I asked for the manager.

Admittedly, I was frustrated, hungry, and I couldn’t figure out why this was happening. She said the kitchen closes at 8:30pm, I said I was there before and challenged the whole 9:00pm advisory and the discrepancy. She was extremely rude with a disrespectful tone and said she would allow me to eat. I labelled her attitude and told her that she needed to change her tone and she told me she was ‘matching my energy’, which in someway entitles her to talk to a frustrated customer this way? Then she said if I didn’t change my attitude, she wouldn’t serve me, to which I said, “excuse me?”

She literally threw the menus towards me on the table and told me to leave. I was horrified. I asked her to provide me with someone who was higher up and she threw her arms up and said ‘Jesus Christ’ and retreated into the kitchen. This is unacceptable.

If it says 9:00pm then you should serve until 9:00pm, that is also ridiculous.

Desired outcome: This manager needs to be held accountable for her mismanagement. Clearly her rules, her atmosphere and her lack of floor management led to a legitimate upset customer, (more than 1), but to then manage it this way? Disgusting.

East Side Mario's Kids make your own pasta

I have always ordered my daughter her pasta she likes and the sauce was on it everytime I order never the sauce has been on it and now my daughter will not eat it 10.00 down the drain now. And I have no one to give it to yet I was on the side of town I got it from and had to drive 20 mins home with all complaining it wasn’t right… it was April 25th picked up between 5:50-6 pm

Desired outcome: Problem can’t be fixed now too late

East Side Mario's Service

We visited the Mississauga, Dundas St, East Side Mario's location. The restaurant was very busy, but we waited as we were celebrating my son's birthday.

As we were getting seated the waiter came over, he was sweaty and leaned over the table, coming inches from our faces to talk. He was very cheery, but inappropriately close. I then mentioned that we are here to celebrate my son's birthday. He said: oh great! what do you want to drink.

During the meal, with food and drinks on the table, again, the waiter was way too close!

Half way through the meal I heard, on the other side of the restaurant: We have a birthday boy here with us tonight... then singing (East Side fashion).

I looked at my son, now holding a sad face, and realized our waiter had no interest in celebrating my son's big day.

I sent an email to the Mario's "customer service" team. It is now April 2, our visit was on March 11. Clearly they have no interest in person, by writing or through any form of communication, to connect with a disappointed customer on a bad dine in experience.

Our friends and family have been celebrating casual events at all East Side Mario's locations for decades. Well, we now seek a new venue.

East Side Mario's Service

We went to the Cornwall restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday,March 16/23 (check#1736) we were 3 people. The food was good but the waitress was in such a rush it made it aweful, she asked if we needed more bread then ran off before we could answer. Then my husband and son still had over half a pizza each left to eat and she comes and asked if we were ready for the bill. My husband wasn't happy and said 'I'm not done ',she just laughed, then she came two more time asking if we needed takeout containers ,was so annoying, then came back again and asked if we were ready now for the bill.. no offer of coffee or dessert ,just wanted us to leave .. we were in and out within 30-40 minutes.. so much for a nice relaxing birthday celebration. . It was more like here's your stuff now get out .. definitely won't be returning. If I wanted fast food I would have went to McDonald's or something. Worst experience ever .

Desired outcome: Please refund / and get some better waitresses, train them to treat guests as they would want to be treated.

East Side Mario's Food and service

This is our favorite restaurant, went last night for dinner March 3rd 2023.

Service was bad, my mom ordered a fettuccine with shrimp got it with chicken instead, noodles where so hard almost no sauce super oily and to top it off I ordered a beer glass was chipped like really chipped he replaced it but there was no more big glasses.

We received the bill for 160 around just to notice that he had put both fettuccine with chicken and one with shrimp.

He took care of the extra dinner on the bill..But had to pay for my mom's meal that was horrible.

East Side Mario's Service very disappointing

I messaged you a while ago and still haven't heard back from you regarding the horrible experience we all had at your Burlington mall location a couple of weeks ago! It's good to know how concerned and how serious you're taking this complaint! Why are you taking this so lightly? If we don't hear back in 2 days I'm escalating our concern and what occurred at your restaurant.

East Side Mario's Takeout and poor service

My family dined in and enjoyed our meals. We ordered takeout for my friend who is vegetarian. I ordered jumbo shrimp Alfredo fettuccine and brought it to my friend. She went to eat it and it wasn’t shrimp it was chicken. This could’ve made my friend seriously I’ll or worse. She called up this location and they tried to blame me saying I ordered it wrong. Not the case the waitress brought it to my table and said here’s your jumbo shrimp Alfredo fettuccini. Not only that they didn’t even put a salad in the bag. This is totally unacceptable.

Our meals were fine but the service was extremely slow. Like at least 10 to 15 minutes before even having a waitress come to our table after being seated. Then it took a long time for our meals to come out.

Desired outcome: Free dinner for my family and friend

Server was very rude and wasn’t greeting us at all… No cutlery provided without us asking for it after our food was served. So we were 2 adults and 2 kids, kids meal was served 30 mins before ours and by the time our food arrived the kids were all done with desserts finished and so they were ready to leave before we even had our food on the table. Furthermore, the other families which arrived way later than us were served before us even though we didn’t order multiple meals but just one for each. Even my boys felt the server was rolling her eyes when they asked her for the flavors of gelato ice creams. Kindly work on the server's standards of practice. Had a horrible experience tonight

East Side Mario's Sunday's service

Went to the restaurant Sunday Jan 8 2023, was seated just after 2 pm. Ordered drinks and our lunch. As we were waiting, I noticed the bartender was helping out in the kitchen with the soup and salads with her long hair down. That is gross, the health department would love to know about this and if I don't get satisfied I will be calling them. Didn't receive our order until after 3 pm and everything was cold and I still had to pay full price for this.

East Side Mario's Delivery’s

We ordered using the app 2+ hrs and we didn’t get our food. Sunday Dec 11 order at 4:17pm 6:54 before we had any assistance. We called the call centre several times and was disconnected about 4x we were told that we needed to speak with the location of the order as they had to help us. We spoke to the manager who was not helpful and didn’t listen ti us. He got defensive and told us he couldn’t do anything to help us. Our order was paid for and sitting there waiting ti be delivered.

We called the call centre back and explained what we had been told. They told us that was not correct, they voided the order and refunded us. Nobody apologized and still we don’t have dinner. The worst customer service.

Desired outcome: An apology and some sort of explanation.

East Side Mario's #8711 130 Great Lakes Dr. Brampton.

I visited the above restaurant on Sept 25th at 19.00. There was 5 of us at the table. Myself and my wife ordered Lasagne. When the food arrived both Lasagne's were cold inside so I spoke with our server Shawn and he took them back to get us fresh ones. When they arrived again they were cold on the inside. The time now was 20.25 the other 3 members of our party had by this point finished all their mains. We asked to speak with manager who apologised and said she would make sure they were cooked properly. When my Lasagne was brought to the table they only had cooked 1 not 2. We eventually got our dinners and left at 21.20. Almost 2 1/2 hrs after arrival. Which is completely unacceptable.
