A friend had her account hacked. The person that hacked it posted a fake story that “she” was selling things for her brother-in-law/Aunt (two separate posts). They were able to get money from friends and family. Many tried to report the issue, including the person it happened to. Facebook refused to take the account down or the post because “it did go against community guidelines”. And anyone that reported the issue was removed from seeing the account.
Claimed loss: $900
Desired outcome: Facebook needs to take responsibility and ownership when these things happen and it is reported by multiple people. I know of several people that lost money and were impacted by this
