I strongly suggest that people close their accounts immediately they realise they've been caught up in this scam. I spoke to my bank and we agreed it was the best thing to do. I also went to the police, who weren't much/couldn't help, but have sent a scam report to the UK government consumer site, and they'll pass it on to Trading Standards.
Closing your account down is a pain, but it's the only safe way to ensure these ### don't get their hands on (any more of) your money. If it's going to take a day or two to be finalised, then make sure your bank blocks your card, too. For me, it's been a lesson I will never forget. We keep getting told to be careful with our bank details, and I know now how careful I have to be!

I placed an order with Extreme Acai through Weekly Health News and it is also a big scam I was just checking my statement on line today and saw that they got me for 119.00 today 10-4 I cancelled immently and I plan to never ever order anything online again. I am usually ever carefull about ordering anything but this has taught me a big lesson I hope nobody else has to learn. They billed me as HCG Extreme 8 inUT They gave my credit card a number [protected] and that got my a web site www.QualityCustomerSupport.com. I hope this helps someone.

Im getting charged 59.95 twice a month for a product that I do not have. I can't get it off my debit card, the 1 800 number is not answering and my bank stopped it in December for it to occur again twice in January and it's only the 16th!!

I did read the terms and conditions:
Offer Details: Start your RISK-FREE Trial now to receive a full one-month supply of Extreme Acai Fat Burn (retail price for $109.95) and enrollment in autoship program. There would be $3.95 fee (non-refundable) for S&P. You'll have 19 days from the date your order ships to evaluate the product and see the results for yourself. If you enjoy our product, simply do nothing, and the card you provide today will be automatically charged the super low price of $79.95 at the end of your 19-day trial period ... a 21% savings! The charge will appear on your statement as: Egrass [protected]. If, for ANY reason, you decide that Extreme Acai Fat Burn is not for you, simply call [protected] before the end of the 19 day trial period and return the unused portion. You will not be billed further. Unless you call to cancel, beginning 30 days after your order date, you'll continue to get a fresh one-month supply of Extreme Acai Fat Burn every 30 days for the low price of $79.95 (+$3.95 shipping)... a 21% discount! … charged to your card. Cancel anytime.

BUT! nowhere in here does it say i will also be charged for elite pack, my fit watcher, and kit access. - which i had to call individually to cancel with no refund all stating that they were listed in terms and conditions! then i had someone confirm i would not be charged for anything else and then was charged $40 for "confirming the purchase of a colon cleanse" - well of course i confirmed if you said it was complimentary!!! this company is wretched and dishonest. they would not cancel my colon cleanse shipment - instead rush ordered it so that when i get it i can call back to get the instructions on returning. I will eventually be refunded but will have to pay S&H. Im at a loss. I just wanted to try some herbal pills that might help me lose weight...

Ok, so I did some research and thought, again THOUGHT I found a fair and honest site that even was oh so kind to warm me from the "free" trial companies and order directly from them. Here is the email I sent to them after realizing the "truth" behind their product.
I have to admit I was excited to get my package in the mail. Upon picking up a bottle to read of the instructions I instead found a sticker placed on by your company in an attempt to hide the true distributor of the product goldstarherbals.com where I could have order 12, TWELVE bottles at $15 a piece instead of your 3, THREE bottles at $150.00 so if I had ordered from them directly I would have received 9 bottles more for only an additional $30.00. Is it truly a "business" to order them from the herbal supplier and mark them up only to put a STICKER on the bottle and claim them as yours. I am beyond upset at this tactic and rather than telling my girlfriends to use your "oh so honest" website I am hoping they will go directly to the distributor and save the money that I should have in the first place. Again, saddened by your business practices and very poor attempt to make a product your own.

I did not authorize a sum of $82.31 be taken from my credit card account. The website offered a 30 day free trial of Acai Berry for the sum of $3.95 shipping charge, I called their number from the website and cancelled any other shipments before I received the Acai Berry. I specificly told the person I spoke with that I was not interested in this product. The individual that I spoke with assured me that no other shipments would be sent and I was placed on the cancelation list.

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I have recently requested a trial bottle of Extreme Acai berry. I have received this and though nothing of it. About 7 days ago, I received a second bottle that I did not order. I am unable to find the original website that I ordered the trial bottle from to check if I had to cancel within a specific time period to prevent a second bottle from being sent and paying the full price. This is not my concern. I will simply cancel my debit card to stop all future payments.

Since placing my order I have started to receive unsolicited e mails from American companies claiming that I can earn thousands of dollars a day. I have not contacted these companies. What they are sending is S.P.A.M.

This is recognised as a computer crime world wide. The only way that they could have obtained my e mail address is through the company selling my e mail or the server/webmaster passing it on without the original company knowing.

Most of the companies that send these e mails have an option to ‘unsubscribe‘. This is done by way of a link supplied in the e mail.

Yesterday I received yet another e mail and tried to ‘unsubscribe’ using the link given. This was where my problem started. This took me straight to a very explicit porn site. Each and every time I tried to exit the site it took me to another. I tried for 2 hours to exit all the site without success. I tried turning the computer off at the power source yet when the computer started up it returned automatically to the sites. I have had to enter my computer via DOS to reboot the system and will have to give my computer to an engineer to try and clear the memory.

I will be passing this letter on with all the details that I obtained from the sites to our computer crime desk at the Police station where I work. I will be asking for a complete investigation into what has happened which I have no doubt will lead to enquiries with the company.

    Regards

    Steve Randall

This company promotes a product for the shipping and handling only. You try to click on the terms link and it does not open. The other links to the website open but not that one. I notice a bill for 29.95 on my credit card, and I call the number that is on my statement, they refund my money. Next statement a bill for 89.31 I call to get a refund only to get someone I can't understand on the phone, reads a paragraph to you, then tells you sorry no refund, and hangs up. I call again and same thing. Being persistant I call again and speak with someone different who says to contact them in 2-3 days to see if I have been refunded gives me a reference number after asking for it, and then he hangs up on you, I've read the comments on the complaints website and I'm anticipating being put off somemore. For the 89.31 I have not received the product they billed for, nor have I received any letters or correspondence stating how much longer I should wait.

    Hi
I too didn't see the terms or any prompt to view the terms either.
I am just having to cancel my card and let the bank file for a refund for me for the $89.31. I have cancelled with pricelimbo.com but can't find any email with login details from changingshapeonline.com so can't login and cancel with them. I've tried my email address and postcode etc but nothing works. Does anyone have any information abouthow to contact them please? The same with fitfactory.com. Any info on how to cancel with them would be good too. Thanks

My name is Mike Morrell from Guthrie Center Iowa. I have orderd a free trial of the Extreme AcaiBerry tabs. Then twice I have receievd a 60 tabs that I did not understand why until I checked my bank statement today for this month and realized that $29.95 was deducted out of my account. The first bottle I received was 60 tabs but thought wow, that is alot for a free trial. About a week later, I receievd a 14 tabs bottle and could n't figure out if this was an error or what. Then I received nother 60 tabs last week and thought they better not be charging me for this because I have not authorize them to do so. Then today I did realized that they are charging me for this that I did not recall signing up for unless there was a scam that I didn't realize. Will stop at bank to notif them not to deduct money from my account from now on.

I agreed to receive a free trial of Acai 500, little did I know that they were going to take that information and then charge me anywhere from $75 - $90 almost every week for a monthly supply of pills that I did not agree to receive or to be charged for...let alone know the price, the actual name of the company, the website address or the 800#. They provide you with little information so they collect as much money from you up front as possible before you can track them down. They will then try to dispute your claims and say that you agreed to the "membership." Be sure to save, PDF or print the screen from the pages you ordered the trial from. Otherwise, they will try to show you a different page that actually has a disclaimer on it telling you that you need to cancel within 7 days or they'll charge you $80 for each shipment. Of course, you never saw this page when you were ordering. I saved this pages that do not have this disclaimer info. on it and hope it is enough to dispute their lies and fraud.

The same thing happened to me. I called fitfac.com and the person I spoke to said that it was stated in the terms and conditions and that I signed up for it. I told them in no uncertain terms that I wanted a full refund and an immediate cancellation. She assured me that I would be refunded the money and no further charges would be on my card. I then called my credit card company and placed a dispute on the charges just to be sure. I would suggest you do the same and keep checking your account for unauthorized charges. In the future, I will read ALL the fine print or I won't order!

I just got scammed by these awful, hopefully all will get an STD, people! I did the same thing and over a month ago signed up to just pay a $3.00 shipping and handling fee. I got charged $29.95 and another $89.95. I called and yelled at the non-English (how conveient) speaking [censored]-bag on the phone! She said I signed up for a monthly account...uh..wrong ###! But unfortantly their "Master" must have them as hostages so they won't refund my money. I just had to call my bank and cancel my credit card! Everybody..please just do this right away, it's better to not have your card for a few days then to keep getting your money stolen out of your account! When you cancel your card it comes up as stolen and inactive so they won't be able to get any money! On my bank statement it comes up as Fastmelt...and haha, it came with a number next to it that all of you should call because it works!! Please call this number and yell at the ### that answers and tell her I hope she can sleep at night! The number is: 1.877.859.1069 Much Luck to everyone...we got screwed!!!

I just got charged $89.31. No, I did not see the fine print at the bottom of the website called "Terms". No, there was no prompt to read those terms prior to purchase of free trial bottle + s&d. I noticed 3 emails the next day stating I had joined their websites (no clue as to how they received my information until I read the fine print). I called fitfactory.com and cancelled the trial membership within the week they gave me and I got a confirmation number. Changingshapeonline.com says I have a free 2-year membership. I can't find anywhere on the one email from them where I can cancel it. I went to the website with the login information they gave me and couldn't find contact information to cancel the free membership. Pricelimbo.com sent an email welcoming me to their company, but it said nothing about being charged for the membership, and nothing about how to cancel it.

After I noticed this charge today, I called the number attached to it [protected]). I spoke with Mae (extension 23957) who claimed to be a supervisor and stated they are not allowed to give out their last names. After a brutal battle of words, she conceeded with giving me a half-refund which I will receive in 14 business days and a free bottle (since I have yet to receive the original "free" bottle). She cancelled my membership but gave me no confirmation except her word.

I googled the company and found this page and read all the complaints. I placed a complaint with the BBB - which I recommend to all of you, whether or not it gets accepted as a viable complaint since I did not notice the "Terms" prior to purchase, it will get the word out that this company scams people.

Then I called the customer service number listed on the "Terms" [protected]). I spoke with Gerald Anderson (who had no issue with giving me his last name). He verified that all memberships linked to my personal information have been cancelled and gave me a confirmation number.

After reading some of the other complaints on this page, I am still very skeptical about this company having my financial information. I plan to cancel my card in 15 business days whether or not I receive the refund check, and I plan to file a fraud report with my bank once the transaction becomes final.

DO NOT purchase from this company. Whether they go out of business from scamming people or from lack of income, that is the direction they need to go, and we as consumers need to guarantee that!

OMG, what a terrible company. I am trying to get my $89.00 back from them.. They told me it was in the fine print. I told them.."This is a scam, you are taking advantage of hardworking people. If you really wanted your customers to know that they enrolled in auto ship, you would have enclosed the auto- ship notice with the free trial bottle rather than with the 2 auto-ship bottles costing $89.00. This would allow your customers to decide if they wanted to continue with the program or opt out. Additionally, the customers should be able to choose the date of the auto-ship, allowing them to decide when they wanted the shipments to be sent." I am filing with Better Business Bureau as well if I cannot get results.

Call your bank & file a complaint. I called my bank & they were familure w/ this company & have had other complaints. They helped me by calling the autoship company & getting future shipments canceled. They advised me to send back product w/ COD. They said not to worry about an authrization code because the terms and conditions does not mention needing one. By the way, after holding for an hour & 17 minutes I got through to a human being & canceled the "trial." What a slimy company! They should be turned into channel 3 on your side.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! i also got ripped off 89.31. they have been promising my refund for 30 days now and i was suppose to recieve it within 14 business days. it's been a month! i've talked to two supervisors and that was hard to get as usually i got the response they were not in, or were in meetings. . they told me their call unit is in UTAH however the main corp office is in davie fl. they did give me the address but they wont give me the phone number. i called last week and was told by the supervisor that my money will be sent to me in 5 business days now and i still have yet to receive it. i also spoke to Stephanie and she did seem concerened and even told me to call the atty gen office. she claims she didnt know the number to the corp office but could email them...again. she told me it would take 30-45 business days bcs the company was so busy.

Has anyone recieved their refund since the complaint????

After I had already purchased my products, I discovered these horrid stories -- I acted immediately. I called the [protected] and someone did pick-up, within 3minutes, AND he canceled any future shipments. I will be charged the S&H for the free trail, but that's all I wanted to try, the free trail. I'm really glad I read the reviews, you get the good with the bad... but this makes me wonder if it was really on a "case-by-case" scenario. I am at ease with AcaiBerry Extreme; however, I purchased another product that does not provide a telephone number... which makes me worry.

My best advice to those interested in trying the trail: Go online get the trail, call the number immediately and cancel any future shipments to prevent inconvenient costs. ALSO, BEFORE you purchase, make sure to READ the TERMS and CONDITION!!! It provides a ton of info you'll need, like cancellation information. It's obvious that if there is no information on canceling, you should NOT proceed with your order!

Back in October, I clicked on an ad, which was advertied on myspace.com, about this acai berry weightloss story, and it then took me to www. extremeacaiberry.com, and I ordered my trial bottle for 3.95 for shipping charges. I had a 14 day trial period that I had to call to cancel if i did not want to be charged 89.31 for another bottle. I never received an email confirmation in regards to my trial bottle. Furthermore, I never recieved my trial bottle. I was recently charged $89.31 on my current billing statement. I tried numberous times to call the phone number listed on my credit card statement and it is always busy or I am on hold for 20 minutes at a time. This is a scam and needs to be taken care of quickly.

They also said they would discontinue my account and stop billing me.

I read the Terms and Conditions and knew what to expect. My plans were to cancel before the 14 day period was over. What I did not expect was for noone to answer the phone at [protected]. I tried calling for several days before calling my bank. I was all set to cancel my bank card when they provided me with a different phone number to call. I called [protected] and what do you know someone picked up the first time. If anyone is having trouble getting through to the number on the website I highly suggest calling the second number. Hope this helps.

My story is like all the others. Never even got the trial product until 14 days--exactly--after I ordered. Then read the fine print in the slip they enclosed in the order, notifying me that I had agreed to have my credit card charged $89.31 automatically for future shipments. I immediately began calling the cancellation number they gave, and it would either ring busy or get a message that "all circuits are busy--try again later". After a morning of trying to call to cancel, I realized I had been had. I phoned my credit card company, and indeed there was a pending charge of $89.31 waiting. My credit card company told me they couldn't do anything until it was actually charged, but she made notes in my record she said would help in disputing the charge later. In reading through others' stories, I used the [protected] number "Sandra" had posted --- and I actually got someone on the phone. She claimed it was her first day there and she sounded a bit clueless, but she did state she would cancel the subscription and refund my account -- which should take around 14 days to appear. She did give me a confirmation number when I asked for one. I hope this works, but I'm not feeling very confident. I plan to phone my credit card company back again tomorrow and discuss canceling the card. (Thanks, Sandra, for posting that number!)

MY complaint is pretty much the same as every one elses. This company is impossible to get thru to, I've been trying for over a week to get thru to them. The phone number is either always busy, or they tell you all their company representatives are busy, please press "1" to stay on the line, when you press 1 you are immediately disconnected. I called back pressed "2" to leave a message for someone to call me back, never recieved a call back. I finally got thru tonight, the woman was very rude and unsympathetic when I told her I've been trying to get thru for over a week, she proceeded to tell me that they are there M-F from 8 am - 5pm MST. I told her I wanted to cancel my order, she gave me a cancellation confirmation number, I asked if my account would be credited, nope, shipement has already been shipped, I said I will send it back unopened, nope it's unrefundable. This is absurd, you can't get thru to them within the allotted time, then when you do, they are very rude to you. The icing on the cake is that I have gained 3 pounds in 1 week using this garbage. I have filed a report with the Utah BBB. I am also contacting my bank (which knows about this company) to see if they will intervene on my behalf. My account is overdrawn and the bank has been most helpful. Goodluck to everyone, pass the word to all your friends not to buy this product, I am.
