This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

These people disguise the small print and will not respond to messages. I tried to get out of this scam and was told I could not return any product, basically I was committed to buying from them. I have been told by another rep, the first one hung up on me, that I can get a refund by providing a tracking number but only for part of the product; and, they charged me more than they stated they charged. I will believe my refund when I see it but will not hold my breath. This company is fraud at its best.

I paid shipping and handling for trial sample. Did not recieve sample for 4 weeks. Then received another package with no paperwork in package the next day of a bottle of 60 tabs and was charged that day from my bank of $89.31 and again repeated the next month of receiving a package from the same address with no paper work in package. I had contacted my bank and complained. Their suggestions was to contact the company for reimbursement and resolution to this, since I had not actually order any product. The company did not answer the phone, on hold for a huge amount of time after the hight volume of call messages. I finally spoke to someone today, in their words I should have called and cancelled any further orders. This company has a policy of no refunds and no returns. I am filing a fraudualant report with the authorities.

I ordered the trial for $3.95 and received 11/26, on 11/28 they billed my cc $89.50 (for 2-bottles). I called because I didn't get time to use the trial so the gal on the phone said she would send me a extra full size bottle complimentary and put my next ship date to 1/9/09. So I should have gotten 3 bottles but only got 1 (12/11/08). I called customer service they insisted I did get the other 2 bottles even after I said I did not. I requested they send me 2 bottles at no charge or credit my account. They issue no credits and would not send me the 2 missing bottles. This is coming from the supervisor. After that he wished me a happy holiday and hung up on me.

This is a scam operation. I suggest reporting them to the FTC. Here is the FTC website for complaints.

I, too was charged $89.31 before I even received the trial bottle. I called the customer service department and asked how could I even make a decision on this " trial offer" if I didn't even have the product. They said it didn't matter because I had unknowingly agreed to a 14 day trial. The pills came the next day and I called back and demanded a full refund. After being passed from person to person for over 30 minutes, they finally relented. I told them that they were practicing fraudulently and I would not be a victim of their dishonesty. Just when I thought this was over, I was charged $30 for an online health club. Turns out that was in the small print on another page that I never even saw. After 30 minutes of trying to talk to a rep, I finally got this canceled. What a nightmare ! How are these people still in business ?

Hi, Yes, I am yet another victim of this company and its sleazy buisness practices! I called my credit card company and reported that I did not authorize a charge in that amount, and have filed a fraud complaint. I tried calling the company also. They denied that they were the ones who charged my account! I wish I had seen this site before I fell for there scam!

I too wish I had seen this site sooner. I have been fighting with this company now for three days to get my refund. First they sent me a trial bottle for which there was no information included as to who sent it or any contact information to cancel anything. Next, they sent me a full size bottle and again, there was no way to contact them, no invoice, no phone number, nothing! Then just the other day I received yet another bottle and lo and behold, there at the bottom of this package is a crumpled piece of paper with a handwritten phone number on it for customer service. Finally, I had a number to call to cancel my order (which I never realized I was getting) and to ask for a refund. So, I called. I spoke to one representative who told me she couldn't do anything for me so I asked for a supervisor. I got a woman on the phone by the name of Liz who told me she could only process a refund for one bottle not two. After several minutes of arguing, Liz agreed to refund me for the two unopened bottles I was charged for if I returned the product with a tracking number. So, down to the post office I went yesterday with the two full size bottles and the trial bottle (all unopened) and paid $20 so that they would get their product back today. I then called back last night to give them the tracking number (as I was requested to do) and was told that I was only getting a refund for one month. Of course I argued and was told that Liz was terminated because she agreed to give me a refund for two months, which is complete crap! I fought with not one, but three people on the phone and was hung up on twice when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I sincerely hope more people don't fall into the same trap that we all have. I'm sorry that any other person has had to go through this same BS that I have. The irony of all of this, is that the crumpled piece of paper had the nerve to say on it "hassle free guaranteed" - all I got was a guaranteed hassle. Don't fall into this fraudulent trap!

I wish I had seen this complaint board sooner, because the website is so misleading. We will see if I receive a refund for one of the bottles. I will contact the BBB and follow up for all of us who were deceived.

Yeah same here I am so upset about this company. I kept on trying to cancel by calling but one time it hung up on me, plus the waiting time of the call was so long to talk to someone and also I get these busy tones. I haven't even gotten the product they charged me, so I gave them a call today and I finally got someone and they told I can't get a refund even though I haven't used it or opened it. I'm really mad and don't know what to do because I just threw away $89.31 for something I'm not even gonna used.

I also ordered the trial bottle. (and paid 3.95) In the trial bottle is exactly 15 pills. Instructions are to take two before each meal. How can this be a trial? What can you possibly notice in two days? I went back to the site and then noticed the small print telling you that if you didn't call in 14 days they would send you a months supply for a total of 89.31. Gee didn't notice that the first time.

I called the one number listed [protected] and it was not in service. I searched other sites and came up with [protected] and did get through to someone who hopefully canceled it. I received the product on 10/23 and called on 10/29.

If I get charged for this I will report them to The Better Business Bureau and I hope others are too! I will also try to send something to all the people they say are promoting this scam.

I got mine from a my space ad which I am going to contact them and tell them what a scam it is.

THIS is a big ripoff.I went to the site for terms and onditions; states you can return unopened within 30 days.Called to confirmand the person on the phone tells me that that I am on the wrong site for terms and conditions! She gives me the same .com site i was on. I did affirm that I cancelled my account. She had the nerve to try to send me a "free" sample of another product! According to the site I was on it gave a 30 day return policy to a P.O. box 971090 in Orem, UT 84097 zip.I am calling my credit card carrier also!BBB should get these people now!

I fell for the same scam as you all did the only difference is instead of being out of $89.31 I am out of $267.93 and just like you all I didn't see anything about receiving additional bottles after the first trial bottle. I didn't read any where on the order form about how they were going to continue to charge my account each month until I cancel. Had I seen that "or had I seen that the bottles was going to cost me $89.00 period I know for sure I wouldn't have order it. This was the first time that I have ordered anything off line and thanks to them it will be the last time. I printed up the order form for my confirmation when I Made the order which was somewhat a good thing because the number on my bank statement was just another number to get more money out of me. Because when I dial that number it said for a total of 9.95 it would locate the number for me so I hung up. I finally found the order form and I called the scam artist up and they claim that I had agreed to the conditions of the order. But yet they shipped me 2 bottle and the same day and refuse to refund my money back to me I am not going to give up and just give them the money I work so hard to just like that. I am going to call Don Griffin Action 9 News .

After being on hold for 20 minutes. I refused to hang up. I pretty much have the same story as anyone else on this list. I fell for the scam, I've learned my lesson. I told the man on the phone i wanted a full refund, and I wasn't hanging up until he agreed. I said, hey Richard, I've got babys to feed, this is my grocery money. Richard, do you have babies to feed? even if you don't you have yourself to feed, and this is a heck of a lot of money. I can buy the same product at Wal-mart for a fraction of the cost. He agreed to give me half money back and i could keep the pills. I said NO listen to me, I'm NOT hanging up until you agree to give me a FULL refund. He finally agreed that when I mail the pills back to call them and give them a tracking number, and they will then issue me a check for 89.31. I unsuccessfully tried to get him to mail me a postage paid envelope with my refund, but he wouldnt agree to that. so, come monday morning these pills are going UPS to Davie and I will hopefully receive a check from them. If not I am reporting them. to who I dont know. anyone have any suggestions. Maybe the better business bureau.

I had the exact same experience as outlined above. My credit card co. is being very helpful, but I still can't get a hold of this co. The number they provide [protected] answer with the typical "someone will be with you" but you're on hold forever and it's not a toll free #. I found out that the number is out of Utah though their address is in Davie, FL. Now I'm concerned that if I can't get a hold of them I'll be receiving a new bottle and a new charge of 89.31 every month. How do I stop this...

WHAT A RIP OFF! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! I didnt see this until after I recieved my 14 day trial, and now they are charging me, and I dont even have the product! Go into your local GNC, ask them about this product. They said this CRAP doesnt even work, and has a fraction of the amount of ACTUAL Acai Berry that it claims to have...

I was tricked into this gimmick as well. The product was sent via a first class mail in a small brown envelop. Inside the envelop, there is only a bottle of Extreme Acai Berry and a note size 3"x4" saying this..
..."Customer service. We have several great products. We want to make sure you aware of the how the charge may appear on your statement depending on which product you ordered...Online Health.
Colon Cleanse., Green Tea., Colon Aid., Green Tea 1000, Green Tea Pill Power...We look forward to assisting you. [protected]. If you have questions or concerns, CALL US FIRST! Product question, Health Support, Billing inquiries, Where here to help, Hassle Free, Guaranteed!"...

There's no bill or packaging slip. I called the company when I got the second shipment to cancel the product. He told me that it past 14-day trial so the product cannot be returned or refunded according to the terms posted on its website. I asked him for the web address since the company never sent any receipt, email confirmation, or packaging slip, I found that it's hidden under the menu called "Terms" at the bottom of the front page. It's not nearby the order form area either.

He said it is stated clearly on its website so it could not be refunded or returned. After negotiating and complaining the unfairness in that the company did not provide customer anything even a receipt, email confirmation, or a packaging slip which is crucial for a customer to know when the 14 day ends, he told me that he would give me a refund if I return the package that was not opened and then call the customer service number again to provide a tracking number. I placed order on August 25 and I called to cancel on Sept 11 (so i'ts only 18 days including shipping duration). I cannot believe that 14 day duration includes the delivery period.

I called my credit card company to dispute the transaction anyway to make sure that I did call and dispute on Sept 11 for a record.

I really want to write to Oprah and let her know that the product that she recommended somehow is handled by the company that has no ethics and intentionally hide essential from customer. I've never seen any business that does not provide anything to customer for a record of their order like this one. I ordered the product because of Oprah' name and this is what I was treated. This company should not be allowed to continue a business. It rips off customers. Don't ever think of trying the product. It's not worth it. It costs almost $100/month for one bottle and can't be refunded or returned. What kind of supplement is it that would show a result within that short time frame.

The company website is at http://extremeacaiberry.com/
The terms is shown at http://extremeacaiberry.com/terms.html

The same thing happened to me. Their terms and conditions are at the bottom and off the page so I didn't even see them. When I called they just laughed and said didn't you read our terms & conditions and refused to refund any money. $89 for a bottle of 30 tabs what a rip off. I called my credit card company and they couldn't do anything because the terms were there. Guess I learned my lesson on this one.

The similar thing happened to me with this company. They did give me a canccelation confirmation number. They don't make things clear. I have learned my lesson and will not order anything like this off the enternet again. I wonder if Oprah and all the other celebraties know that their name is being used flippantly with this product.
