Expedia car rental in prague

The price Expedia sends you with your itinerary is just an estimate and is not a confirmed price as their itinerary implies. Here is a quote from an e-mail sent me today:

"The price that Expedia quoted to you is just an estimated base price, other fees and taxes are not included."

yet, their itinerary says:

"The total price includes all mandatory taxes and fees."

Expedia will not stand behind its quote when pricing issues come up.
I rented a car through US Expedia from Budget in Prague. Now, that I am reviewing my statements I can see how they get more money out of you via a fictitious exchange rate. The expedia Price Summary states:

Due at pick-up: $105.32
You will pay EUR 92.41 at pick-up

Instead of charging me in Eurodollars, the budget rental place charged me in Czech crowns. This would have been fine except that they used a fictitious exchange rate that was about 8% higher than the exchange rate on that day. Hence, I paid EUR 99.93 - not a lot more, but definitely beyond the agreed upon rate. Budget basically created its own exchange rate and charged me in a different currency, pretending on the invoice the amount corresponds to the EUR 92.41.

I brought this issue up with Expedia. I have 6 email from them to date, with one excuse after another trying to dodge the issue. In the end they would not stand behind the itinerary by saying it's just an estimate.

Expedia reservations and payments

Incident date: July 23, 2019
Yesterday I chose a trip itinerary for 2 travelers (Judith Nitza Villanueva Betancourt, and Janelee Marie Rivera Rosado) from SJU to CLE (July 25 to August 10, 2019); when I confirm the transaction there was a message that said: "Sorry, there's an issue with the payment information below".
Immediately, I proceeded to call directly to Expedia to verify if it was a problem with the system, but the personnel tried to do the reservations and cant do it, and told me to call the Bank to verify.
Today I have a transaction in my account from American Air Lines for the amount of $628.40. I did not receive from Expedia any email with reservations/itinerary details, and it was so strange for me. I called to Expedia and they confirm me that they cancelled the full transaction. Then I called the Bank and they said that the cancelled transaction was not received by Expedia. Then I called American Air Lines just to verify that effectively there's no tickets or reservations in the system under these names. Well, today, I need to make a reservation for them and don't have the money available in my account. This is a very uncomfortable situation and I will let you know that I will never use Expedia services again. I was making a favor to my aunt and her grandchild, and it was a very embarrassing situation for me. Now I don't have the money available for their travel arrangements and nobody can respond to me.
Also, I will not recommend to anybody to use Expedia site for travel reservations.

Expedia car rental - false advertising

I rented a car in Olbia, IT on 7/14 - 7/18. Itin # 7423640392464 It was the worst car rental experience I have ever experienced. We paid for the Mercedes Benz upgrade or equivalent. When we arrived we were provided a Leon compact car. If we wanted a similar car to the one reserved we would be charged an additional 60 Euros per day. The women behind the desk also informed us they do not have any Mercedes even in there fleet. Expedia/Budget/Avis advertises Mercedes on there website as being available and had a huge banner behind the desk with a Mercedes on the advertisement. We paid for the upgraded insurance due to driving in Italy. We were then charged and additional $150 euros while at the location if we wanted to take the car. We had paid for the upgraded insurance in the US but this would not suffice. I tried to look at canceling the reservation with the company but there was no other cars available at other locations. Expedia/Budget/Avis fraudulently rope you into paying for services when pre-booking in the US. When you arrive at the ticket counter these services are not rendered. You are upcharged and just have to sit back and take it because you need a rental car. I have now been on hold with Sam from Expedia for 20 minutes trying to file a complaint with Expedia, no idea if he will come back to the phone. He has not provided me with a reference number in case I have to disconnect as the hold is ridiculous. I am looking for a refund of the services not rendered car upgraded and insurance.

Expedia agent

On July 11th, 2019 I called regarding my hotel reservation. The hotel agree to do a refund due to a air conditioner problem. I was on the phone almost 2 hours with the agent. He keeps telling me he was calling the hotel but I was right in front of the manager at the hotel and we were both waiting for him to call. He finally called and she answered she told him you never called here why you said you called couple times? Ok so she approved the refund and he never pursue the transaction. I tried to book another hotel with him and he transfer the call to another person saying I can't help You because you don't want my rate. I said what? The rate that showed online on Expedia was $418 and he wanted to charge me $568 for the same hotel. Well, he put me on hold again and never came back. It totally ruined my day in D.C. This agent it's very unprofessional and rude . Now at 12:20 Am I finally resolved with a very nice representative. I am very disappointed because I am a Gold Member. I was put Expedia first and that's how I get treat?

Expedia prepaid transfer from airport to hotel

I booked a prepaid transfer with X Driver (Cabbies) through Expedia from CDG Airport to my hotel in Paris (Itinerary #: [protected]). Upon my arrival, a driver was not waiting at the arrivals hall. I contacted the vendor who advised me that no driver was available within 1 hour. The vendor told me to take a taxi to my hotel.

I contacted Expedia by email and by telephone on June 26, 2019 in an effort to receive a refund of the cost of the transfer from the airport to my hotel which was prepaid by me. The Expedia representative advised me that he could not reach the vendor and assured me that he would revert to me either by phone or email (Case ID : REQ:S-[protected]).

On June 29, I received two separate emails from two different Expedia+ Gold Specialists, each advising me that: "We are still in the process of contacting X Driver (Cabbie) for your request, please expect an email update from us within the next 24 hours." That was the last I heard from Expedia.

I sent eight emails to expediaplusgold@expedia.com between July 2 and July 11, but have not received a response to any of these. I have tried calling but relented after being on hold for an inordinate amount of time.

Expedia charged me for the transfer immediately upon booking, but has not been forthcoming in terms of refunding amount which was not earned nor providing me with responses to my inquiries.

I tried to contact X-Driver (Cabbie) Paris for two weeks before the transfers using the phone numbers and email address provided by Expedia. Even Expedia customer service members had trouble reaching them when I filed my complaint. Expedia refused to refund the transfer even though the transfer company never showed.

Expedia room hygiene health and safety

I am writing a formal complaint regarding Isinda Hotel.

I'm struggling to find any good merits to this hotel. How can a place so awful be a part of such a beautiful city?

I cannot convey strongly enough how disgusting this place is. After I checked in, I discovered the horror of my room.

I was only given one towel to use for my face and body and was told that towels are only washed every three days. This is an absolute disgrace.

The mattress and pillow have a foul smell and the toilet brush in the bath is incredibly filthy. Their housekeeping is a complete and utter failure.This surely goes against any hygiene regulation that the hotel no doubt should comply with.

As I went to use the shower, the shower head fell on my head due to the shower bracket being broken. This is a breach of health and safety.

My room failed to have any basic essentials such as soap and handwash, a kettle, iron, hair or dryer.

The TV was not working and nor was the AC cool enough.

Additionally a further problem is the fact that there are no blinds and the curtains, are soo thin. As soon as the sunraises it's impossible to sleep.

I found the staff to be rude and very unhelpful. I complained to the manager regarding my room only to receive a very arrogant reply. I was told there are 30 guest in this hotel and not one has complained, for this reason my complaint was overlook, and the manger had no concern in resolving the issue.

My experience so far in this hotel is unacceptable. I will NEVER recommend Isinda Hotel to anyone nor will I be returning to this hotel ever again.

I made the reservation based on Expedia's description of the hotel, I feel it is only right that you compensate me with a full refund for my stay.

Expedia cheating customers by stating all inclusive meal, with a price tag

I would like to complain about Expedia, where they stated that at a certain price, all meals are included, but when i call the hotel and check, its only breakfast!

when i call expedia they say they cnt help! they are cheating customers to glory!

Simply, the airline have cancelled my inbound flight. Hence, I had to cancel the outbound flight because of my schedule.

I am absolutely entitled to the refund in full. I will follow up to get my money back through the appropriate Channels. Please at least give a reply.

Expedia Reservation denied by Hotel charged by Expedia.com

My Hotel (Crown Suites Hotel) at Mbale, Uganda has completely denied for my booking with 2 reasons 1.) They are not aware of my booking number [protected]. 2.) They don't know Expedia.com. My account had been deducted with $86.40 for 2 nights at this hotel via my Debit Card Of Standard Charteted Bank. EXPEDIA booking reference #[protected]. Below is copied SMS received on my registered mobile number at my bank as proof of payment. Money was deducted from my local account having currency in Ugandan Shillings. UGX 342058.00 transaction was made on card ending 1166 at EXPEDIA [protected] EXPEDIA.COM US on 2019-06-27. Please help and refund my money on my account and I want Expedia to take action against this Hotel for denying my reservation and I suffered a lot to find another hotel and paid CASH over there. Expedia problem for my booked cruise

I checked your cruise offers online, then I booked it through your agent earlier. Before I booked this, I confirmed all the offers from your online with agent for below offers.

From above offers you can you see, the one I selected is supposed to available on decks 9-10. But after I checked in, I was assigned 8154 and 13708 which non of them is on decks 9-10.

My book numbers are 41208461 and 41208475. I have talked to the customer service people and told them, both my daughter and me have very serious motion sickness problem, we definitely cannot take room 13708.

I spent a lot of time on this issue already, but still the issue has not been resolved. Expedia cannot break their promised on what they have sold. I really need help from someone to resolve this and make my trip safe.

Expedia scam

On June 28, 2019 I had tried to book a flight, hotel, and car for a trip to Key West. When submitting I didn't realize until afterwards that I had over booked the car. So I called customer service to get it straightened out. I spoke to Kevin Mall with customer service who said that he could save me an additional $800.00 off the trip, and he instructed me to go to Target, and told me to call him when I got to Target on his direct line 518-621-5912 ext. 1010. I had told him that I would not be able to get to Target until 5:15 pm est. I went to Target, thinking that it was going to be me opening up a credit card account in order to get a discount. On my way there Kevin called me instead, I didn't call him, he told me that he wanted me to go into Target and purchase three gift cards in the following denominations, 2 - for $950.00 and one for $900.00 and that he would cancel my other reservation and then rebook for me with the gift cards after I gave him the gift card numbers. After finding this part out I refused to do it and asked to speak with a manager at Expedia, the manager got on and assured me that this was legitimate. Again I refused and he got upset. I asked for the information in writing, that he send me an email with the details, and he refused. So in my opinion this man was trying to scam me. I hope that Expedia corrects this problem. I expect to hear back from this.

3 times system gave me error and said try again. It said cannot book the tickets try later

In the end, I changed my airline to jetstar and finished booking which was Immediately confirmed.

After 5 mins of my Jetstar confirm, I received a mail from Scoot that mt Clark -SG flight is booked. Which is surprising- one your system told me it cannot book now and after i have made my booking sends me one way wrong ticket.

I called expedia and they said sorry pls call scoot. Contacted scoot they said these error happen we cannot help you.

Can u advise what should i do

Expedia travel insurance

On their site - it implies - it's just a simple policy for if you need to cancel for whatever reason comes up. My situation is that a) we purchased a ticket for my step daughter to meet us in Canada and b) we found our best friends has been given only a few weeks to live. So - we are not going to the music festival. BUT GUESS WHAT? The policy is ONLY good if I can get a Dr's note if somebody is sick! OMG. How do they sleep at night!

I've used EXPEDIA extensively in the past. No more. However, I will have my fun. I teach at a major University - and showing 1) the Expedia website, 2) how only on page 7 of the policy is it clear that the policy is only for sickness, and 3) the phone call with the insurance carrier (AIG - remember, the company US taxpayers bailed out in 2008). My only question. What portion of the course do I bring this up in. A. Ethics? B. Marketing Strategy?

Expedia hotel cancelation

My family and I, which is comprised of a group of 10 people including 2 children, made reservations with Hotels.com ( an Expedia Group ) for 4 days stay in Rome, from June 14 to the 18. Upon our arrival in Rome on the 14th we learned that our reservation had been canceled on the 10th. The property owner did not inform Hotels.com and we had to continuously tell Hotels.com customer service that we did not have a place to stay.
We were stuck at a train station in Rome for nearly 6 hours on the phone with Hotels.com customer service. The did not help us find a new place to stay. We ended up finding a 2-star hostel in the city to accommodate our large group. The hostel was in an unsafe part of town and had an 11:30 curfew. It was dirty and didn't have functioning water. We ended up paying $900 more than the initial property we booked. Hotels.com refused to help us. We are waiting for a refund on the initial property and demand that they cover the $900 extra we ended up paying because of their inability to help us. Our dream vacation in Rome was a nightmare because Hotel.com. Their only concern about selling property, if you have a problem the Expedia Group ( Expedia, Hotel.com, Trivago ) really doesn't care about you.

Expedia expedia, not me, input the wrong date

Original reservation (Days Inn - Uvalde, Texas) cancelled due to fleas in hotel room. Subsequent reservation with Hampton Inn was made but wrong date by Expedia was given. I then made reservation with Hampton Inn and paid for it bypassing Expedia because they refused to adjust. Expedia made the mistake and then attempted to extort me and force me to pay.

Expedia flight schedule

My flight was changed without my approval by Expedia. When I contacted the Airlines they confirmed that Expedia had cancelled the original flight and rescheduled my flight for 2 days earlier then I was able to fly. I contacted customer service by phone on 6/7/19 and described the issue and was informed I would receive a call back by a manager. After waiting 5 days I called customer service again, this time to be told that my trip was one way only and when I look at the itinerary online the return trip has been deleted from the page! Both customer service representatives have repeated told me "they can not change the itineraries once they have been booked" but I have documentation on three (3) changes made with out my approval. As Expedia customer service does not seem trained to handle issues such as this. I am hoping this forum will be able to rectify the problem. I have booked numerous flights through Expedia and wish to continue using the service but currently find my self in a position where if your company can not step up and take responsibility for this error I feel that making this issue public is the only way of protecting future consumers of the inability to trust Expedia and associated companies.

Expedia flight with american airlines

Catching flight out of Philadelphia to Chicago IL at 8:55 or 9:05, 6-6-19. Flight delayed to around 1:30 or 1:45 am. Arrived around 3:30 amd 3:45. Didnt know there were 2 airports so I had a hotel at Midway. This meant all the way across town. It told me to pick a hotel, pick a flight. I thought they kind of matched up etc. Now forced to take a $70 cab in the wee hours to get across town to get some rest. Thank God the hotel was nice and so was the staff. They gave info to help us get around. They have a shuttle bus but not for O'Hara Airport just Midway. Never caught up on rest and lost a whole night. Coming home was even worst. Another $80 this time for ride to O'Hara early because they only had early flights. Set out early on 6-9-19 to get 5 am plane and Lyft never showed up so took cab, missed flight by a coulple of minutes. Was put on standby list and 8 or 9 flights went out all booked with no seats in site. Unless your rich. The tickets are group 9 the last of the last. After being told all flights were booked again for the second day and the earliest flight at 5 am had been cancelled. No one even trying to help I was ready to cry. Finally a woman suggested that we fly into Ohio and then Philadelphia that would probably be the only solution. I spent more time in airport than on vacation. Drop American from your list because their crazy and just don't care. The whole process was so confussing and had no type of order. Firsrt and last time sleeping in an airport and theres no major snow storm. One delayed flight can ruin everything.

Expedia scammed

I tried booking a round trip flight using your website. I was scammed by two of your employees who work for you. I called 800-Expedia & spoke to Ron who helped me booking the flight. However, he stated if I purchased a Hotels.com gift card, I can receive a discount on my flight. I believed him being he was on a recorded line with me. I went to my local CVS & purchased the 1st gift card for $435. I have him the account & PIN number off the back of the card. He told me I would receive an email & a call from the accounting department to verify the info. I then received a call from an account manager named Brian. He told me he received the info from Ron about scheduling my flight. He asked if I was still at the CVS, which I told him no. I had just got home. He told me in order for the card to be activated, I needed to return to the CVS in order for him to get access to the store's server. I found this to be strange. I want sure if I was being told the truth or not. In a nut shell, he told me he couldn't process a refund without me purchasing another gift card for another $435. He also knew the call was being recorded. I want sure why I had to purchase another gift card, but knowing I was also recording the conversation, I went ahead & purchased another gift card for the same amount. I walked away with nothing. No flight, no refund. I need this investigated.

My name is jabari mckenzie im a faithful customer, how I was treated was just piss poor.. Ive been trying to book a room for 1 night 06/02/19 to 06/03/19 had some issues with completing the payment. The app said I booked the room and the hotel and expedia customer repressive didnt have it.. I called expedia to see if my card was charge it wasnt so I was trying to proceed with the payment again the lady said that hotel room had been booked, I was confused but I let it go in explained to her that I only had 100 on my card for that room I didnt have anymore money to spend more, so asked her can she find me another hotel thats no more then $100 thats including tax.. She siad she will se what yall have so she found a hotel for 119 after tax 130ish after tax I told her I dont have that much on my card can you find me something cheaper she suggested that she add a coupon on my account so that I can book it though the app.. That was at 9am.. From 9am to 430pm ive been hung up on, rudely talked to and on extreme holds 36mins, he came back on the phone in told me that I was going to be on a call back that was at 11am no call ever came to my phone so I called an explained whats going on for the 5th time he put me on hold for 3 mins then call hung up.. I have two things I need to book through you guy but im not in till I talk to some one higher then the guy thats behind the computer..in also in I get email or call I will call everyday this is unacceptable..
