Expedia I am frustrated with customer service at Expedia. I phoned and waited to get through. Once I did they were unco-operative

I booked a package trip, hotel and airline ticket through Expedia on Nov 22, 2021, Unfortunately I had to cancel it the next day on Nov 23.2021.
It states within 24 hours can get a full refund on the package. The customer
service rep said it was too late. I asked him to check again and he came back
saying yes I still had 11 minutes left to cancel However he has to process the
cancellation through another department at Expedia that would take 20 minutes to process, so he was not allowed to do it for me.
My itinerary number is [protected]. Not to mention I had to call many
times and wait to get through to a live person. I began with a chat person at
Expedia and they said could not process the cancellation, that I need to talk to
an agent. We learned today at the doctor my wife is sick, needs hospital
treatment, so we cannot go on the trip.

Expedia Incompetent customer service support

I have called Expedia Malaysia customer service support regarding my booked flight that has been cancelled, rebooked and cancelled again. This support keep saying that there are no flights available anymore. So I wanted to speak to a supervisor to discuss a replacement flight, and worst case scenario is full refund request ASAP if they cannot find replacement flight for me. I need the same money to book another flight to another airline. I was put on hold for a long time and the customer support keep saying that there are no supervisor available to speak with me, put me on hold for another long minutes and get back to me just to repeat all the things that she have mentioned again.

I have informed the support and the previous supervisor already, that we have an urgent situation so my brother needs to take a flight before Dec10. He was retrenched from work and only allowed to stay in Malaysia up to December 10. After December 10, he will be staying illegally already. So I would like to speak to a supervisor to settle things for the flight and worst case scenario is to get a full refund ASAP as we cannot wait for 6-8 weeks. I will have to use the same money I booked from expedia to book my brother another flight. But this customer service Lyn (that was the name she gave). She still hasn't connect me to a supervisor and asking me to call again tomorrow.

This customer support has been sighing, yawning and burping since the start of the call. And I have been being patient because I wanted to resolve this issue today as I have work as well and do not have much time to sit and keep calling everyday. We have to settle the flight issue before my brother visa expires. This is the first time I have encountered customer service who cannot even understand a single sentence like "please transfer me to a supervisor" and would even continue talking even when her client is talking. How rude that is?

I would like to speak to a supervisor who could assist and resolved this issue for us. I have been using expedia for a long time now and this is the first time that I got this kind of horrible service and horrible customer support. All previous support and supervisors I have spoken with was helpful enough and some even extended their assistance, but this Lyn would even tell me that she was on training and already in the end of her shift and telling me she will call me tomorrow while I am asking for a supervisor call. Was is suppose to be the customer's problem if it is already end of shift of the support? And she was even telling me that it is ok to file a complaint and informed that there is no supervisor on her shift.

This kinds of support representatives are not helping at all and only tarnishing the name of expedia. Even makes the customer upset for staying on the line and not resolving their issues at all.

I am hoping you could assist me and improve support representatives attitude and listening skills. There is no point doing empathy when it all sounded very very scripted.

Expedia Absolutely terrible customer service being left on hold for hours on end as well I am looking for my refund been waiting since June

I want my refund! My Booking # is 2818797 Expedia reference # S-[protected]

I am going to be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well as CTV news waiting over 6 months for a refund!

Why is the Canadian Customer Service located in Egypt? Not fair for customers spending their time and not be understood the last call I had to spell my email address out 5 times!

Expedia Expedia will simply take your money for nothing!

Booked a room by mistake and within a minute Expedia had simply taken my money for nothing and refused to try and help me. Buyer beware. They have zero customer service other than some poor people in some far off country and they could care less if you are stranded with no room and they have your money - all in a few minutes! Shame on this kind of practice. Expedia is garbage.

Expedia Car Rental

I wen on vacation to Florida and rented a van through Expedia at Dollar rental for a week at Fort Meyers on July 6, 2021. When I was on the way to Florida, at Houston all flights to Fort Meyers were cancelled due to storm. Since they were not sure if the flights would resume the next day or the following day, the airliner offered me to fly to a different destination in Florida. I called Expedia and asked them to switch my rental location to Miami, they offered to help, and together on a 3-way call with Dollar Rental, we got that done...or so I thought. When I was at Miami picking up the van, Dollar tells me, sorry you don't have a rental reserved with us. I call Expedia the rep tells me that the first rep did not do thing correctly and therefore whatever he did, did not transfer over, he was supposed to create a brand new reservation and he did not. The rep began to make excuses why they cannot cancel the old reservation and issue a new one because it is past deadline. At that point I was already taking an hour standing at the Dollar Rental at checkout dealing with Expedia problems on the phone with backed up line and I decided I will just reserve a new car directly with Dollar and deal with Expedia later.

To this day Expedia refused to give me money back, even though they are the ones that cancelled my reservation with Dollar on my behalf. I have a statement from Dollar Rental that they cancelled it. Since they cancelled my reservation, they need to refund me my money. But they decided to keep my money citing their policy about some deadline. This is inexcusable. I am out of $781.83 and Expedia does not care.

I've also filed the same complaint with BBB

Expedia I purchased a Travel Guard Policy for a trip through Expedia

I purchased a Travel Guard Policy for a trip through Expedia for $88. Expedia tacked on an extra $173.66 apparently because the could. Airlines canceled flights and it turned out there was no trip to insure. Everything was reimbursed EXCEPT the $173.66. Expedia claimed somewhere in the website there was a statement saying I had fifteen days from the time of purchase to cancel the policy or lose the money...but she didn't know where.

Desired outcome: I want the $173,66 refunded!

Expedia Car Reservation

I made a car rental reservation on October 10th for a minivan. The car was suppose to be picked up on November 19th in Middletown, OH and returned on November 27th at the Indianapolis Airport.

On November 17th Enterprise called and informed me that this reservation will not be honored as they do not allow mini-vans to be dropped off at a different location and that there would be an additional $50 fee to drop off a smaller car at INDS airport.

I called Expedia to see if they could help resolve the issue. I was told to cancel the reservation and create a new reservation with a different car rental company. However, the new reservation was 30 minutes away and cost almost $400 more. Expedia is not able or willing to help honor the original reservation. I feel this was a bait and switch.

Expedia Refusal to honour flight voucher

I booked a KLM flight from Manchester to Manaus(Brazil)with Expedia in December 2019 (date booked 8.12.2019, flight date 09/05/2020-24/05/2020, itinerary nr [protected]) for my husband.
The flight was cancelled due to covid, and we were offered a travel voucher by Expedia. A copy of the voucher as visible on my Expedia login incl expiry date of 24.11.2021 is attached.
Earlier this year I tried to have a refund instead, Expedia told me that has to be done by the Airline, the Airline told us it has to be Expedia as the booking agent- several hours wasted, then Expedia again who told us that refunds are categorically not possible . Was reassured during a phone call with another Expedia agent in September2021 that my credit could even be extended to 29.12.2021 (that was supposedly recorded on the Expedia database).
Today, after another hour on the phone with Expedia trying to use the voucher for a trip in January, I was now told that the voucher allegedly expired in November 2020; when I challenged this the customer "assistant" changed her version again and said it actually expired August 2021. Sent her the screenshot of my Expedia account as proof the voucher was still valid, after which she supplied me with a case reference number ([protected]) and told me she would send me an email to confirm that my case is being reviewed. Still waiting for that email 5 hours later.

Desired outcome: I would either finally have a refund of the airfare of £ 1037,84 or be able to use the voucher to rebook the flight.I would also like a formal apology by Expedia for the appalling way a longstanding customer has been treated.

Expedia My ticket on website

I want to print out my ticket that I purchased from Expedia. There does not seem to be a way to do this. There is a link to a "booking" page that is divided into thirds (?) with no easy way to print the ticket. When I try to use the Chat. It points me to that same page. When I use the "not satisfied with chat" button, the Chat is not available. That is, I cannot type in it. There is NO WAY for me to contact customer service on the website. There is no "Contact Us" link. Horrible customer experience and makes me more likely to book directly through the airline next time. What is the basic ability to print a ticket not possible! We do not all use our cell phone for everything. Thank you.

Desired outcome: Improve your website to add a Print button that prints ticket.

Expedia Service

We booked a room through Expedia on 1/11/2021 for 11/12/2021-11/13/2021. Room # 214
Arrived late around 11:30 pm and the floors were soaked and wet. The beds were damp.
We complained to the front desk twice. Only one time did an older man in a white shirt who spoke only Spanish came in around 12 midnight. We called again and asked for another room. Front desk said they didn't have any more rooms. We ended up staying very uncomfortable. Complained to front desk in the morning. Maintenance man named Oscar came and noticed the wet carpet and beds wet. Also housekeeping noticed. They told the front desk. Talked with manager Ms. Kim. She said the carpets were shampooed and there was no problem. The front desk was very rude and did not want to help out and solve the solution. Kaitlyn Jaeger and Suzanne Jaeger [protected]

Expedia Account

Hi,
We have Expedia with one of our Hotels Exchange Hotel in Toogoolawah QLD already. We have recently just bought a new place in the same town and put in 5 ensuited deluxe rooms called Peddlars Rest. (less than 200m from the Exchange Hotel) I went to set up Peddlars Rest with Expedia only to be told their isn't enough demand in our area. How is it that the Exchange Hotel which is always booked out can be with Expedia but I cant list the new place with them.

Expedia Awaiting a refund

Booked a hotel for March 19th 2020, 4 nights. Hotel then closed and so did the French borders. I have been chasing Expedia for 18 months. I have an email stating they were processing a refund and it never materialised. They now keep saying they have to email the hotel and wait 10 days . I have asked on numerous occasions what the resolution process and timescales are and they just thank me for my patience.

Expedia Unethical behavior with customer service dept.

This is in regards to a simple change of dates on a flight to dubai in january through expedia that stated there is a change fee i would incur of over $2000 that they stated is the airline rule not theirs. On contacting the airline qatar, they stated they have been waving all fees for changes and cancelations for over a year due to covid. Despite numerous calls to the customer service dept on several occasions, having to state my case been dropped halfway into my call several times, being placed on hold for what amounted to hours of my time, the service reps would keep going back around to the same fees or cancellation charges.
I ultimately got so disgusted with the run around i cancelled the whole trip.

Expedia Car rental cancellation

I made a reservation for a car rental with Dollar rental that involved paying some amount of the rental in advance. At the time I made the booking, I was sure that I'd read the cancellation policy clearly, and that is said I could get a full refund up to 24 hours in advance. I re-read it again before cancelling. However, it wasn't until I'd actually cancelled that it was made clear to me that I was paying a $50 cancellation fee. The cancellation policy was poorly written, in a way that feels like they were intentionally trying to mislead me. It would be very easy to add a statement that says something like "THIS RESERVATION DOES NOT HAVE FREE CANCELLATION". I might still have made the reservation had I known, and not come away angry afterwards. Now I never want to use Expedia again.

Desired outcome: I'd like my $50 back in addition to the rest.

Expedia Cancellation of hotel stay

I booked a hotel stay for late August 2021 through Expedia. I paid for cancellation insurance just in case. However, the day I was to check into the hotel (a 5 hour drive) the weather had a travel advisory warning; being afraid to drive in gale-force winds and rain, I called the hotel and told them due to severe weather, I would need to cancel. They said I should call expedia. I called expedia and they advised I need to call and cancel with the hotel. The hotel would need to forgive the late cancellation. The hotel did not have a problem cancelling, but said they had nothing to do with the billing, expedia is the one. Expedia said they would need to speak with the manager. However, after several attempts to call expedia, nobody would clarify with me whether or not I would be charged. They are so difficult to deal with and so unethical in their dealings. Now, I'm stuck with an over $200 bill for a room/ stay that I never enjoyed due to sever weather.

I will never book with expedia again.

June 1, 2021: Two tickets purchased on Precision Air: $499.60
June 10, 2021: Precision Air cancelled the flight; Expedia gave travel credit
June 10, 2021: Contacted Expedia and requested refund; travel credit in Africa was not acceptable
June 10, 2021: Contacted Precision Air: they would be happy to refund in full, but it must go through Expedia
June 10, 2021: Contacted Expedia: Expedia said they would send email requesting waver code
July 2021...numerous calls to Expedia; we have not received information from Precision Air
Aug 20, 2021: went directly to Precision Air in Arusha Africa; they said they would refund and we would have it within 2 weeks
Sept 28, 2021: Only one ticket was refunded ($239.50): contacted Precision Air directly and they said they refunded $479.00. I have all the emails from Precision air
Oct 28, 2021: contacted Expedia and they said that all money was refunded and I could speak to a supervisor in the next couple of days if I wasn't happy

Desired outcome: I would like the rest of the refund of $239.50

Expedia Flight booking and refund

My flight that was booked through Expedia was canceled. Expedia could not rebook my flight, so you sent me an email that you would refund my money and i had to book through another system. This was on 28 Aug. I have yet to receive my refund. What is worst is that now you are acting like you dont know me. I cant reach anyone through your phone system to find a resolution. So, now i am having to find any way to get my money back.
As a retired Marine and a teacher, i cant afford to let you keep my $1030.00. In addition, i find your behavior rather abhorrent and dishonorable.
This isnt happening because i was a bad customer. I didn't cancel my flight you did. I dealt with you in good faith and now you are trying to cheat.
I booked my flight with the number [protected]. I have all the emails detailing my several calls and emails stating you will refund this sum.

Expedia Refused refund

RE: Itinerary # [protected]
I'm requesting a refund or partial refund for the bait and switch experienced at both the rental car agency and hotel associated with this itinerary for Roberto Alvarez.
Upon arrival, the Rental Car Agency attempted to add over $400 dollars in additional fees. Therefore, we rented a car elsewhere. Upon arrival at the Hotel Las Salinas we discovered the hotel was not as advertised. It may be a family owned hotel but it is completely unsafe and not suited for families. The hotel's representation in Expedia is inaccurate. We did not check into this hotel, did not spend even one night there.
When I called to request a refund or partial refund I was told it's Expedia's policy is to let the vendors determine if they will give a refund for Unused Services. Expedia partners with bad faith vendors and then supports these vendors when Expedia customers are cheated.
I asked the Expedia Customer Service agent to connect me with a supervisor and the call was disconnected after waiting online over 30 minutes. Shame on Expedia for such poor customer service and for total disregard for their customers.

Expedia Gold Partner Plan

Simple flight change turns into a 3 day frustrating issue because my reservation included my wife and daughter, so I was unable to change only my flight on expedia and delta. Called several times and promised and assured the change, call backs from managers, exedra but nothing happened. I tried another 2 hours on chat, was hung up/disconnected form 3 agents, promised to be called back by 2 managers and never heard a thing. I have screen shots a of all chats and records of all phone calls. The worst part is each time you spoke or chat with different agent, they ask the same info over and over again.
