Etsy etsy not handeling properly and does not reply one questions

i had 3 shops on etsy and all 3 of them were suspended because they say i sell phrobidden items and thats not true i am not able of selling certen items in a single listing above 1000 dollar but i asked etsy how to create multiple listings zo my items would not be deactivated no reply from etsy

now this is my problem with etsy

when i list an item they deactivate the item but when i list the same iten again the dont deactivate the item so what is wrong if an item is porhibben you can never list that item so why when you list the same item twice it is legal thats impossible

Desired outcome: i want etsy to be a little helpfull with sellers and not only think about making money

Etsy Etsy is blocking me from buying my purchases, then suspends me for no reason. They've done this before.

I purchased 4 bracelets from a seller I know and have done business before. Etsy is blocking me on purpose to prevent me from buying the bracelets. I got an email that said my payment is "processing" and it is because my purchase is being "reviewed by Etsy". This needs to stop and they are meddling in my personal business. I am wealthy and have money, and they are not allowing me to complete the transaction! This has happened before with them on another account I had. As a result, I got suspended on Etsy, and when they "reinstated" my account, I couldn't buy them again. It's plain wrong. Nothing is wrong with my credit card. Etsy just doesn't like buyers buying too many things and it doesn't make sense! They are playing games with me and will not let me purchase my order. It's a terrible policy. The customer service are unknowledgeable and don't care and they just sit and do nothing. They ignore your requests. If Etsy is going to play this game with buyers, then they need to close their website. Why have it when they don't allow buyers to purchase anything! They totally SUCK. Ebay is even better than they are!

Desired outcome: I WANT TO COMPLETE MY PURCHASE AND I DON'T WANT TO BE SUSPENDED!!!! I'VE DONE ***NOTHING*** WRONG!!!!

Etsy Deactivation for no reason ofcourse

I just started my Etsy account, then after receiving a suspicious email from a potential client asking for my personal details - Etsy - suspended me. I didn't do anything wrong. I was just - uploading and arranging my work - custom printed apparel - it was.

Then I filed an appeal, after ofcourse paying what they asked me to pay. It wasn't that much - but I foolishly payed it - though the account was already suspended and didn't stop being suspended.

Then I get an email some weeks later saying - they cannot "unsuspend me" for reasons - that cannot be disclosed to me. Mysterious and - legal? Is that even legal? I don't know.

I wonder - what I have done wrong. Where did those hours of work go - and what for did I even pay them in the first place. I hear of much worse stories though. I'm happy it happened to me when I just started the account and not months later - that would be much more vulnereable I am sure. And I hear - that happens.

The other thing that happened in another account is - a scammer said they need me to click a link so they can buy a product of mine which - I foolishly did. After which I had to suspend my own account and both of my credit cards as this - potential buyer - got into my personal details the same day that I opened that particular shop. That was very - hard. I had such high hopes for that store too - which ended up getting slam dunked in a day.

There is no seller protection period. There is no respect. There are no people that know how to deliver good normal and legal customer service. There is nobody that can help if anything goes wrong. It's like - hanging by a hair - on Etsy. Is this even happening in the modern day? I am so very happy and lucky that my business didn't evolve for this to be too heavy and that I eventually came off this ride early even though it was just in a few days.

Though what I hear from others - is much worse. I hope other sellers also tell the world the truth about these guys. It is important that people speak up and let the monster be shown.

Desired outcome: I'd like my 11 dollars back. I'd like Etsy to be seen for what it truly is - and to shed some light on the many - maybe thousands of lives that have been affected.

Etsy Etsy’s handling of my funds in my account with them.

Etsy put in a reserve on my account in the funds which has caused me to not be able to have money to be able to make the items that my customers have ordered. They have a laundry list of reasons as to why you can go into reverse serve status, both positive and negative. They refused to disclose what reason my account was put into that status. They also refused to acknowledge that there is an actual basis for the reserve on my account.

Desired outcome: I request the reserve be removed from my account and the funds be released Otherwise, I will have to close my store and etsy will lose their commission on my sales as i cancel the orders

Etsy overall service

I recently placed an order through Etsy for a small gift for our 43rd wedding anniversary

The item was delivered to the wrong address and was therefore not recieved

It transpires that the address it was sent to was Etsy,s fault and although I recieved a full refund the online help desk simply cut me off mid complaint. the moment money is extremely tight{as with a lot of people}and although a small amount,it was big gesture to my wife on our anniversary

Desired outcome: at least an appologfy for the errors made by Etsyand probably compensation for my Wife,s dissapointment and me having to find an alternative but very late anniversary gift.and to restore some faith in your company

Etsy Etsy - no resolution since november 2022

Good Day

I am an Etsy seller. I have been unable to withdraw funds from my Etsy Shop since November 2022.

I have contact Etsy on numerous occasions as the issue persist since 2022, I receive the same reply from Etsy - our engineers are working on it- there is no time frame to resolve issue.

As it stands, I have been using the same bank account details most of my life and since I opened my Etsy shop and have never experienced problems prior to Etsy sending me this message in 2022. ""We've noticed possible suspicious activity on your account. For security purposes, we've temporarily limited your access to protect your information until you reach out to us.

Contact Etsy Support" In December 2022- I was told to rather change my email and password login details - as my access to my account was not working any longer. Since then - No deposits from Etsy has been made into my bank account.

Etsy - for some reason has disabled the option for me to select "cheque account" and therefore I am unable to verify my bank account details on the payment settings.

Etsy tells me to verify my account - Which I am unable to do due an “engineering” issue as Etsy Puts it.

In Payment settings - I am unable to select Checking account (Under the Account type section)

I am able to complete all the other information required such as:

My bank account is in ZAR

Bank name

Account number

Bank code

It does not allow me to select checking account.

This means I am unable to “save & verify”

I have submitted. Copy of my ID

A Verified bank confirmation Letter

Sent numerous tickets

Done everything they require of me

Tried different computers

I am beyond frustrated.

Etsy then Reset my bank details - but I still cannot select " the account type" in order to save the bank details.

Now my shop is small and sells a few items - but Etsy has been holding onto my money since last year with NO resolution in site. This is not fair.

I have not changed my bank account and yet all my deposits stopped when Etsy Locked me out of my account in 2022.

I don't owe Etsy any money

Desired outcome: I want my funds that are due to me from the sales I made. I want my money.

I had placed an order for my friend who turned 50 years old on 08/07 and till todate there is NO delivery done neither an update sent to me on the status of this order.

I am not in UK and bought it as a special GIFT for her 50TH Birthday yet you guys just messed it up.

How will i look on A LATE DELIVERY?ITS LIKE OPENING UP CHRISTMAS GIFTS ON 02ND OF JANUARY OF THE FOLLOWING YEAR!

Etsy withholding 75% of my hard earned funds is insane!

I am a seller on Etys since 2016.

As of this May Esty has decided to become vicious and withhold up to 75% of our funds .

How can we survive?

This is wrong, this needs to be stopped

Etsy needs to be more tranparent to us the sellers who work very heard each day for our customers .

In the mean time Josh Silvermand, the CEO and all who work for him are getting a substantial payment each week I am sure!

Desired outcome: Eliminate the 75% and bring down to a lesser amount if need be and do not wait 45 days to release funds to customers

Etsy Cancelled my orders multiple times! No reason given, no phone number to call!

This co. Is horrible. From july 4 intil mow, july 9th, canceleldy multiple item orders twice. No customer service number, no resolution of payment issues. The only option is "chat." they apologize up and down, bit no one resolves the issue, or even clarifies what the problem is. Poor sellers are contacting me asking why orders were cancelled. I have no idea! Sellers losing out on money!

Great sellers, great items, horrible company. So cold and unhelpful. Sellers should go elsewhere! I know I will!

Etsy Shutdowns without warning disrupting my store from it's rank on the post shutdown

I have been shutdown at least 2 or 3 times since I opened my shop in February 2022. The dates being February 15, 2022 and July 8, 2023. The first time I was shutdown was not even explained. I had just opened the store and did not have any violations. I have seen this exact behavior when creating a new account with eBay in 2022 as well. Hazing new accounts is very much like "The Patriot Act" which violates the United States Constitution 4th Amendment rights to protect citizens from illegal search and seizure without reason nor suspicion. These first shutdowns also kept me from accessing a way to contact this business to resolve the issue they had with my account. BTW Etsy as of 2020 or 2021 went anti-human (in violation of their "Keep eCommerce Human" slogan by closing their communication by phone, email, and any normal business methods. The only way to reach Etsy these days is not human, it's by internal ticket system that can and has taken 2 weeks and for some ticketing systems 2 or more months! There is no formal email for the explanation as well. It's as if all accounts, business or consumer are being treated as steerage where my rights can be violated under the guise of "crowd control". I find it hard to believe that etsy can't afford to hire enough people to communicate with stores. I would not be surprised that legislation is in cahoots/ league/ cartel or otherwise receiving benefits for collecting state taxes on all purchases and that the government sees their operation being in business for collecting revenue for them. It really is starting to look like a fascist control mechanism to punish without stating what violation was made. No Miranda rights - very backwards for not only MY country, but the "Headquarters" country for this business, Etsy. It's like they are operating under the laws they make, not under my country's well known laws. They just suspended me on July 8, 2023 for not being able to charge my card on file. I changed the card on file and the store has not opened. How is it that they can shut down so fast, but hesitate to the max when everything has been resolved? This is not a free a fair marketplace and Etsy is anything but human.

Desired outcome: Hire humans to take care of suspensions and clearly state what "infraction" there is and make it easy for a shop to get back up and running as easy as immediately.

Etsy Unauthorized transactions

I received an email that I owed $2 for listing fees for my Etsy shop. I paid the fees with my PayPal cash card,( which is not linked to my Etsy shop) on July 1st. On July 3rd I received an email from PayPal saying that a bank transfer had been declined. I contacted PayPal after again receiving a declined transfer email. PayPal instructed me on making sure that my account did not have automatic payments set up, (I did not) and explaining that Etsy had attempted to transfer funds, not debit them from my account. I never gave them the account information nor did I give them permission to withdraw/transfer anything from my account. I simply paid with my debit card linked to my PayPal account and they somehow managed to get my account information and attempt to withdraw $1.20 in listing fees. No way that this can be legal!

Etsy My Shop being Unfairly Shut down due to identity fraud

My account was permanently suspended for someone stealing my identity

I've reached out multiple times and Etsy will not even consider helping me and says because of association with a suspended account I can no longer use the platform I was living with a tenant of mine at the time who used my information without consent to run his store which supposedly violated etsys rules

If my report request are not acknowledged and fully read I want to file lawsuit against this platform and their injust democratic operations that do not reflect any fairness to the shop owners or have the shop owners best interest at heart

Etsy is a hypocritical platform that suspends innocent people and allows shops wracking in the money to continue to bend the rules

Desired outcome: My wrongfully closed store back Etsy to run a fair platform that looks out for genuine sellers best interest and not letting big money makers break the rules while banning people not breaking any cause they don't rack in the cash

Etsy Unfair case sided

I am an Etsy Seller and have recently found out my account is going to be suspended. This I have accepted and can move on from. However certain customers have picked up on this and have opened cases.

On 3rd July a customer called Emma filed a case stating her products were damaged. This is incorrect bearing in mind she received her order over 8 weeks ago and I have a strict returns policy. Anyway Etsy gave me 3minutes to respond to the case which is highly unfair and discriminatory of me as a seller and sided with the customer and provided her with a full refund and advised her to keep the items.

I had already sent a courier to collect the items she wanted to return and she refused to give them to the courier. I have now tried to contact the customers and she is refusing to give me the items back now she has received her full refund. She is still going to use the furniture and have her money back which is leaving me and my team out of pocket by £150.

Etsy are disgusting for treating me like this

Desired outcome: I want a refund back for the items my customer has refused to return to me or I want my items back. I also want an apology from Etsy for treating me like a criminal

Etsy payment not rescived

May 12, 2023 Etsy closed my account, I have asked repeatedly why? No reason was given, at the time my account with them was suspended, I had in my account $ 1386.

Etsy is not going to activate my account, and keeping my funds, I sold 5 items on Etsy website total of $1680, deducting the fees, the owe me $1386, I want Etsy to pay me.

Etsy Figold....

Ring, order [protected]. This has been going on since Jun 10, when it arrived it was too small so I requested a larger size.

They informed me first it would be an additional $60 to remake.

I said No. I wanted a Refund.

Then they said they would do a remake for $20.

I said NO. I want a Refund

THEN They said no Refund on Discounted items. Nowhere does it say that in their advertisement.

So I am saying AGAIN please give me their mailing address so that I can RETURN the ring for a REFUND.

Etsy 3D model Avatar

I contacted the shop for a repair or replacement, they gave me attitude, threatened me and mocked me, for no reason other than they felt their work had been disrespected. It needed repairs they were happy to oblige at first but then argued because they did not want to do the work, I had to request a refund from my bank. The shop in question is witchywomanapothecary formerly known as Faerie_lites.They have been passive aggressive, rude and unprofessional. They noticed the issues yet sold me the product anyway. They threatened defamation against my character to their artist frriends, even though I have done nothing wrong. I am a 52 year old vulnerable disabled woman, who only wished for my 3D avatar to look the way i desired and paid the money for, they were rude and said i was the problem, i then accepted the product for a quiet life but they still kept coming after me, and verbally attacking me. The model is basic functional, not fully functional for intended purpose, nor of good quality, or as listed by the seller under the consumer rights act. There are tears and rips on the jacket, front and back, tears and rips on the skirt, and the underwear does not cover the models bits under the skirt. I suggested perhaps shorts would be a good fix instead, then i said perhaps keep the short skirt if it can be fixed and the panties adjusted accordingly, then for a quiet life i said well i can use the model without the jacket, but i wanted to use the model with the jacket and I couldn`t so it has been a very strressful experience. They were rude and unprofessional. I requested a refund from the bank and I should be able to keep it without the seller lying to their bank about the whole drama, they should have repaired or replaced it, they did neither they said it did not need fixing. They threaten me, and cause me distress. They should allow me to keep the refund, the model does not function fully as it should nor is it of good quality as you can see from the video.

Desired outcome: They should not be allowed to sell the item in their shop as they cannot fix the issues without changing the design, it is my creative content.

I needed an customed size I did not received the right size there was a misunderstanding about lenght and height, I measure with wide and lenght NOT width and height. now I cant return or replace my purchase. I contacted the seller and I was told my item i purchase was non refundable (why) paid $100.00 for the wrong item and its not refundable? we have a problem.

the width is too short and the lenght (height) is too long.

Desired outcome: place my decal with the measure I requested 41 1/2" width X 38" Lenght (height)

Etsy Etsy putting reserve on my shop for no reason

I have had my etsy store almost a decade. My ratings are mostly 5* (i have 4.8* overall over 9 years).

For some reason etsy placed a reserve on my account, are holding 75% of my funds AND they take their greedy fees from my portion (the 25%) which leaves me with about 12% of revenue. This will apparently continue for 90 days.

I have emailed 6 times, and received 6 generic replies which do not help in the slightest.

One email said "we want to ensure you we have the technical framework in place to uphold the reserve". What is that?!

Etsy Etsy Shop

I am reaching out today to share an unsettling experience I've had with the Etsy platform. My hope is to shed light on the situation and seek advice from those who may have faced similar issues.

Recently, my Etsy account was abruptly suspended. The reason provided was a purported violation of Etsy's terms of service, but no specific infraction was pointed out, leaving me utterly perplexed and concerned.

Adding to my frustration, I noticed that several Etsy vendors continue to sell products identical to mine, even after my account has been suspended for supposedly selling items that did not comply with Etsy's guidelines. This glaring inconsistency in enforcement leaves me questioning the fairness and transparency of Etsy's policies.

What adds further insult to injury is the issue of my retained earnings. Etsy is withholding the money I've earned from my recent sales. I am genuinely shocked and find it bewildering that the funds I earned through fair transactions could be seized without a clear explanation.

I am seeking:

A thorough explanation of the alleged violations that led to my account suspension.

A clarification on why my products were flagged, while identical products continue to be sold by other vendors on Etsy.

Immediate action regarding the retained funds from my recent sales, which I believe should be rightfully returned to me.

I share this experience with a sense of disappointment, as I had always respected Etsy as a platform that encourages creativity and small businesses. I genuinely hope this is a singular occurrence rather than a reflection of their standard practices.

If anyone has faced similar issues or has any advice on how to effectively address this situation, your input would be greatly appreciated. I am open to constructive dialogue and sincerely hope that Etsy will do what is right for its community of sellers, who invest considerable time, effort, and creativity into making the platform a dynamic marketplace.

Same thing happened to me. Taken off the platform, no explanation as to why, refunds given to customers who still have the goods, unable to withdraw funds ( assuming they haven't given it all away ).

Etsy terms and conditions say they have two weeks to investigate. They have had five weeks and have heard nothing, despite repeatedly emailing.

If you go on the chat and ask for a supervisor they want to know chapter and verse before they do anything, then they decide it's not worthy of their time and cut you off.

Repeat and repeat the above for hours and hours

Can't sell anything, can't get at funds, no reason as to what I've supposedly done wrong, no chance to resolve - thats the Etsy way !

Advice appreciated.
