Scammed by the seller
I purchased one item from the shop shamcreationIN like 3 days back. And 2 days I contacted the seller regarding some more information about the product. I ask him to send me the photo of the product before shipping. The seller didn't respond me back and in fact he just closed his shop permanently. That's so strange. I messaged him for the refund but no response back. The payment made through PayPal. I don't know if Etsy is doing anything to protect their buyers. As the Etsy just telling me as payment made through PayPal, you have to contact the PayPal customer services. How Etsy is allowing such a seller's to open a shop on Etsy 1st place? What they are doing to cross-check for the legitimity of the seller? I am really sad, as I do really trust Etsy. But now onwards I have to aware and think twice to buy anything on Etsy.
Desired outcome: I need my money back. Also, please put any filter to the website who can open the shop.

Also my card details are registered to this address so if the address HAD been made in error then why was my payment accepted with security. As address and card details should always match.I now am without this card and need it.Future purchases will not use guest checkout however never issue previously.Seller been lovely but refuses to re send without payment

Hi Emma, I’m sorry to hear you have had an issue, in terms of the address, obviously we can only process an order according to the details we are given, we don’t see previous addresses or anything like that, that’s unique to your personal account. The item has been sent out according to the details we were provided with, if you would like another card sending out I’m afraid you would need to purchase again as we have sent it as per the order we received.
If you do believe there to be an error with etsys system I would strongly recommend getting in touch with them directly and raising an investigation for them to look into it further.

Etsy account suspended for no reason

My Etsy Shop, RAMasterpieces, was suspended after i opened it in March 5th and listed my first product. It's a wooden home decor store that i created to sell my wood products on an interesting Marketplace like Etsy . All my products are designed and 100% handmade by me (you can find some examples below joint that i intend to sell).
Upon reading carefully the terms and conditions of use i think my account got suspended for no reason as i didn't violate any policy.
Please at your convenience let me know whether or not my account can be reopened.

Etsy very biased targeting of smaller stores
I just had my store shut down for not selling "handmade" items. When I can pull up tons of other HUGE stores making millions a year that sell the EXACT same items I was selling, that are sadly still up and selling even as my store was shut down. We even use the EXACT same stock photos from the same suppliers. Etsy sets you up to fail. They allow you to connect to drop shipping websites, allow your orders to be synced automatically to drop shipping websites. And then shut you down for it. They don't follow their own policies, which makes it very confusing for a new store owner like myself when it comes to drop shipping. They allow these companies to have thousands of sales a day dropshipping the EXACT same item from the EXACT same supplier that my store was shut down for. If Etsy expects people to follow their policies they need to follow their own. They cannot be biased towards larger stores and help monopolize all the sales. If they shut one store down for dropshipping and not being handmade, they need to shut all stores down for dropshipping. A simple Google image search will pull up all stores using these photos. My income is completely gone in one moment. All while I can still log on and see hundreds of other stores, selling the exact same items that my store was shut down for. CJDropshipping is the website that all of these stores dropship from (AND ETSY ALLOWS YOU TO CONNECT TO). Then Google search any pillow, furniture, home decor, etc from that website. will easily pull up so many stores on Etsy selling these exact items. The photos are even taken from CJ drop shipping to post on the Etsy descriptions. Cannot understand how I was flagged for specific items and told they violate Etsy policies while you still knowingly allow huge businesses to make millions of dollars a year selling the identical items using the exact same photos to advertise as I was. I'm not sure how this is legal and I would love to speak with someone. Etsy makes it very difficult to have a conversation with a human I continue to get machine responses and pre-typed generic emails.
Desired outcome: i would like my store reopened or compensation from Etsy for the VERY clear biases they show on a daily basis.

i put my shop on vacation mode over a year and half ago because i had no time for it anymore being very involved in animal rescuing. I had two factor
authentication on trough an app. Meanwhile i have changed my phone but i haven't update the app so any code it gives it wont work. I contact etsy to disable the two factor so i can log in in my acct. I gave them all the bank details, card, even conversations from shop. They still wont grant me access to my account or at least close it completely. Yet they send me bills every month.
Desired outcome: Either to let me back on my account or to close it completely so i can start over.
Etsy Plaftorm
I have been a seller since 2015 and never had any problem until this April 10th 2023 where they told me to update my bank account because they were not able to send my deposit! I never had any problem receiving my desposits until now and my bank accounts are perfectly working. I have been trying for more than a month to update my bank information but the deposits still were bouncing back and the etsy team kept asking me that the fault was coming from my bank account.
After 1 month, they decided to suspend my account because they could not verified my banking information that were perfectly working before!
I don't know how to have my deposit back. They still owe me money.
Desired outcome: Have my shop back running because this is my only source of income and someone to review what is wrong with the deposits because i am apparently not the only one in this situation.

I have tried to contact for a product that I received in the wrong size for a refund I ordered a size girls size 10 and received a girls size 6x. The seller was not willing to provide a refund. I returned the merchandise via the label provided and they did not receive the merchandise, and the USPS has not recognized the return label and the seller is not willing to provide a refund.

Bought a peach tree. Got a twig. It did not grow!
I paid $35 for an Elberta Peach tree. It was less than half the size as described. I followed the instructions very carefully. After one month, there was absolutely no sign of growth. I kept it protected and made sure the soil was moist. I called and expressed my concerns to GreenThumbsGarden. They put me off, saying to be patient, that it would grow. A month later I expressed my concerns again to GreenThumbsGarden, because it was showing no sign of growing. This spring, it did not bud at all. Further examination proved it had died. I feel ripped off! Now that the tree has died, they say I did not complain within the Etsy 100-day window. I believe GreenThumbsGarden put me off deliberately so the 100-day window would expire. Now they claim they cannot help me! Niether GreenThumbsGarden nor Etsy stand behind the products they sell. Their customer service is abysmal!

I sold my trumpet on Etsy to buyer for $1,100.00.
Buyer reported not received, but Post office confirmed delivery.
Texted buyer same day and asked if it was there. He did not reply back that day.
Approximately 3 weeks later he charged back the 1100 plus fees to my account.
I had kept pictures of item with serial number and distinct markings that showed it was my item he was now selling on ebay.
Local Law enforcement as well as federal authority are now involved.
When does Etsy refund me or how do I get item or money back in account.
Desired outcome: I filed criminal charges.
Missing item
On 3/31/23 I ordered a personalized memorial suncatcher from XzibitASupply. The seller said it would be arriving Apr 11-23. When I didn't have it on 4/23/23 I messaged the seller (Andi Love) on Etsy. No response. I messaged again on 4/24/23, 4/28/23 & 4/30/23. I also sent an email to this seller on 4/30/23 at [protected]@xzibitasupply.com. I have yet to get a response from any of my messages. And now this seller has removed their shop from Etsy altogether. Meanwhile, I am out $35.63. I have filed an escalated complaint w/PayPal also, but since this is one of your vendors, I think you should know that this seller failed to send my item to me & doesn't have the courtesy to make things right. I would like a full refund of this purchase asap. I also checked with FedEx since I did find a tracking # & was told that my package was delivered to an address that isn't even my address... not even close to my address where it may have been a typo! It appears the seller sent it across town! I have checked with the person at that address & was told they do not have any packages delivered from Etsy. So I don't know what your seller has done w/my item, but this is pathetic customer service & I want my money back! I really hate to contact Josh Silverman, but that will be my next option if this can't be resolved at a lower level. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Can not log in to my Etsy shop for 2 day now. Tried all I can and been told I need to log in before they will help, even though that is the problem. It appears there is no phone contact until you sign in. A friend email Etsy on her account, and they sent a link for me, to use the link they told me to log in before they could help. Again, problem is can not log in. They have also been asked to phone me on my number held on my details. Still nothing. Tried to change password just in case but could not as it appears my email address is not valid. This has been ongoing 19/12/22, and it seems I can not get help on this. I found my saved email and password for my Etsy shop, and it's the same as I've been entering. It all happened tonight 04/26/23 around 8 pm, before that during the day I was able to log in with no issues, therefore, this is an Etsy IT issue which they refuse to help immediately knowing it has happened before.
Etsy's support is the worst in the universe. No human interaction, just an AI response that takes you into loops going nowhere and when you email them they say they'll take care of it 'as soon as possible' but they take their sweet time while we lose income.
Desired outcome: Be able to log into my Etsy shop immediately.
UPDATE: after a stressful 2 days of back and forth with Etsy, finally the issue was resolved and as usual it was on them not me or anything else. When a company gets big, they forget who made them big while they collect their billions of dollars but give less support to its sellers. They lack human interaction using an AI auto reply that sends you exactly the same links to go to when in order to go to you can't even log in... I called their phone number headquarters then, and AGAIN they have an automated voice message stating that they can't receive any calls there, so, why do they have a phone number that doesn't receive calls? Having a cold AI to answer our questions is not the way to go, WE SELLERS WANT HUMAN INTERACTION WHEN ENCOUNTER WITH SERIOUS ISSUES LIKE MINE.

Wrongful suspensions and terminations / unethical and unlawful terms of service
It is no secret that Etsy has become the most popular online marketplace for handmade, vintage, and unique goods. It has provided a platform for independent sellers like us to showcase and sell our products to customers all over the world. However, as many of us rely heavily on this platform, it is essential that we hold Etsy accountable for their actions and their Terms of Service.
As many of you may be aware, Etsy's Terms of Service include provisions that allow the company to terminate accounts without reason, and sellers have been affected by this policy in alarming numbers. Failure to remit payment
I have been selling on the Etsy platform for nearly 3 years, I have requested my deposits on a monthly basis for the products I sell. Etsy has no issues receiving their "fees" However, I have been waiting for my deposit, which is 3 weeks overdue and I have still not received it. Many attempts to deposit and lots of returned deposits but, no actual see through. I have called many times and have "escalated" my issue that has been met with deaf ears. No email notices, call-backs, or messages to explain, clarify or heck even apologize for such a delay in payment. I have suggested on every call to have Etsy send me a "check" that I can deposit in my bank myself. With all the technology we have today with Zelle, Cash App, etc. and all the money they automatically make from sellers fees, that it's impossible to pay up. I find it disrespectful and unacceptable that they are unable to pay what they obviously owe. It is becoming more and more difficult to remain in a place that does not accept responsibility for their shortcomings and are not attempting to make it right. I don't have any expectations that this complaint will go anywhere seeing the amount of "resolved" issues are nearly non existent. Bottom line. Pay me what you owe me. This is my livelihood and it's really not a good idea to bite the hand that feeds you. Without sellers like me, Etsy wouldn't exist.
Desired outcome: Remit payment immediately. I accept Cash, Zelle, CashApp, Check, Money Order, Cashiers Check, with an apology. I had to take time, that I'll never get back, to type out this complaint.
Unable to unsubscribe from etsy there is no unsubscribe button visibly on the site
April 10, I was hacked trying to get into Etsy to pay for an item I purchased.
There is not visible unsubscribe button visibly on the web site. which is in FTC violation. Spent days searching the site and calling sending emails and chats to no avail.
I cannot remove myself from the site there is no unsubscribe button anywhere to be seen.
Poor customer service and very poor protection from hackers want to be removed from this site as soon as possible.
I had to change all bank information. This is very frustrating.
I don't know what else to do.

My newly opened account suspended without any reason
I opened a seller account on Etsy and paid attention to everything etsy asked before opening the account. After my account was active, I listed a few products and activated them by opening their ads. These products are not prohibited and I have not received any complaints. I have listed the designs that I have made myself. Two days later, while I was dealing with my account again, my account was suspended without any notification. I immediately contacted etsy and they informed me that the account is permanently suspended. Although I wrote many times later, they still did not give any reason.

The issues I have with my purchase are as follows
- the standard of finish to the model is very poor, not what the photographs describe
-no set of instructions for assembly
- broken parts to the model
- poorly packaged item hence the reason why some parts are broken.
- I have waited two or more months for delivery of this item only to be disappointed with the standard of finish and poor reasoning from the seller.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund, if the seller requires me to send back the item they would need to pay for postage as this wasn't my fault.
