eDreams impossible dealings

On thursday-morning 10 Februari we booked with eDream:
this is what we received:

Confirmed booking – pending of payment
- Reservation number Z64OYY
Information on your booking

Status of your booking
Important !
We are currently checking a problem we have detected with your bank card during the payment process. As soon as we have verified that everything is correct we will send you a ticket as indicated below. If it is not possible to complete the payment with the credit card provided we will contact you by email to inform you of how your ticket can be issued.

If we do not encounter any problems during the payment process, the ticket for this reservation will be issued in the form of an electronic ticket (e-ticket). The confirmation of the e-ticket will be sent as a second email to the email address specified below. You will not be sent any paper documentation.
Next steps:
1. Your reservation is confirmed but has not been paid. Please wait until we contact you again before making a new reservation. Your reservation is confirmed. You will see the details and flight itinerary below.
2. If the data is exact, we will charge the ticket to your bank card and send you an e-mail confirming the purchase. Do not go to the airport before receiving the second confirmation e-mail from eDreams. This second e-mail will be sent to you once we have verified the exactness of the reservation and that your card has been charged for the corresponding amount.

So we waited for the second email, the e-Ticket
Then friday-morning:

Sorry mss Atanasova, I think you don't understand the real situation.
You can not hold me responsible for not answering you within 24 hours, if you don't want to take into account that there is a 7 -hours time-difference between UlaanBaatar/Mongolia and Spain. I have checked my mail every 5 minutes, since replying to your mail yesterday-evening.

As said, we live in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia.
The reservation Z64OYY is for a flight from Beijing to Bangkok, two way, for my 20-yr-old daughter.
She is on the way to the airport in Beijing, with a printed confirmation of her flight-booking from your company in her pocket, but no telephone or other means of communication.
She left Ulaan Baatar 28 hours ago by train, Friday-afternoon, thinking her flight-reservation was all in order, since my credit-card would take care of payment.
Then late friday-evening you tell me my card has 'some problem'.
My card has no problem at all, it has a 2500 euro daily limit.
Ulaan Baatar and Beijing are 2500 km apart, she travels by train and bus, about 42 hours altogether,  and you ask me if I want to change my reservation?
Of course not!
And still you gave me no reason for the sudden 75 euro price-hike.

Tonight or tomorrow-morning she will arrive in Beijing, and will check this mail-address.
If there is no confirmation of payment, and she read this conversation, she will go immediately to the offices of SouthernChina Airlines herself, she speaks fluent Chinese.
If they refuse her the ticket that you have reserved for her, for the price stated in the confirmation, I see no other way than to hold you and your company liable for the ensuing costs.
I may be far away, and have no personal face for you, but I am not crazy nor stupid.
So please bill my credit card for the amount of €370, 24, and send us a confirmation of that.

Greetings,
F van der Harst,
Ulaan Baatar

---After sending the email above, I called International Card Services in Holland, who issued my VISA-card, they said there was no problem, and indeed eDreams has tried to withdraw 370 euro from my card-account, BUT HAD THEN CANCELLED THAT…
I sent the email below:

Dear Mss Atanasove
For safety's sake I have called my credit-card-company, ICS, they have assured me there is absolutely nothing wrong with my credit.
They stated that eDreams tried to charge me for 370 euro, which was OK'd, AND THEN WITHDREW THAT REQUEST, thursday-morning Februari 10, European time.
Which to me means, it is not my fault that certain time-frames are running out.

SO I repeat my questions:
Why do you try to charge me 75 euro's more?
Why do you not trust my credit-card, if even ICS says I am totally OK?
Why do you send flight-confirmations if they are worth nothing?
Why do you you blame me for delays which are surely NOT my fault?

I did some reading in complaints-blogs on the net, it seems you as a company solve problems only AFTER they end upon the Big Bad Blogosfere.
Rest assured I will do my utmost best to make sure EVERY visitor to your website will know about how you treat your customers.

My daughter will show up well in time Monday-morning to catch flight CZ3180, and we hold you responsible if she is not to fly then and there.
And FYI, that is Morning-time BEijing-time!

An angry father,

They relplied swiftly:

Dear madam,
We already refunded the amount on your credit card ( I m sending you the provment) and the only option for paing this reservation is bank tranfer. have in mind that the reservation is confirm,
but there is no ticket issued.   As soon as we recive the bank transfer we can issue the ticket.

3 o'clock in the morning, I paid €370 Bank to Bank, then sent this email:

You really need to learn emails:
1) -I am a FATHER, not a 'madam'.
2) -you don't answer my question about HOW MUCH I should pay Bank-to-Bank.
3) -you don't answer wether a screenshot-PDF will do as proof-of-payment.

On the first  error only you can act, the other two I have done to my best possibilities:
-I just paid 370 euro and a trifling to mentioned bank account, in London.
-I have made screenshots of that transaction as it show up in my online-bank website, as I have really no way of sending a fax from Mongolia at this hour (Sunday-morning 03.00 AM)
Please find them attached as PDF.
And now I will get some sleep, and not be able to answer any email for 8 hours.
F van der Harst
Ulaan Baatar
Mongolia

All Sunday it was extremely quiet, although I checked mail very ten minutes.
We were worried that we heard nothing of either daughter or Atanasova, but hey, it seemed to work.
No news is sometimes good news.

As I mentioned above, our daughter had departed Friday-afternoon by Mongolian local train to Zamin-UUd on the Chinese border, to arrive 6 in the morning the next day, Saturday.
She then hopped across with a border-crossing-bus service, she had bought a ticket for this in UB.
In the Chinese border-town of Erlian she was to take a sleeper-bus to Bejing, trusting that there would be place.
These busses normally run every two hours, and take 10-12 hours to get there.
But because of New-Year, there were so little passengers that several busses were cancelled.
She arrived in Bejing Sunday-morning early, found a cheap hotel, and spent the day in Beijing looking around, thinking her ticket to Bangkok was in order.
For assorted reasons Oyundairi did not contact us, but hey, why should she?
She took an early nap and Sunday-morning 4.00 Oyundairi showed up in Bejing Capital Airport, 3 hours before flight-time.
As feared, no ticket, no reservation, no name, no eDreams, nothing.
Big fight, lot's of angry people, big energy-sucking mess.

Eventually she went back to the city to contact us, as she did not want to use the $10/hour internet in the airport.
Our Valentine-Monday morning started with a nice conversation, we found a better flight, Dragon-Air, of which the offices are right outside the internet-cafe where she was.
I sent her to buy a ticket for cash money there.
I hope that works, and she will fly to Bangkok later today.
And I wrote an email to Ms Atanasova, again:

Good morning, Ms Atanasova,
I hope your morning will be as perfect as my weekend was wretched.

This morning my daughter Oyundairi went to Bejing Capital Airport, to fly to Bangkok, but there was no reservation or ticket in her name, even though I paid BtB on Saturday as you said I had to do.
I suppose something went wrong in all the confusion about BtB and supposedly non-working credit-cards, or maybe time-zones.
Also Southern China Airlines assured her that flying to Bangkok for the price suggested on your website is absolutely impossible.
Please advise those in charge of your web-search-machine.

I don't do this everyday, and judging from your replies to my questions, you do neither.
So let's forget about trying to book a ticket through you and your company.
It seems eDreams is really that, just a dream.

Now, about the money:
I consider nothing of this all my fault, as I also outline in a copy of our conversation below.
I already transferred €370.24 to the bank-account of eDreams in London, please be so good as to send it back without delay.
And don't dare to subtract not even a cent for 'transfer-costs' or 'reservations' or whatever idea you may come up with!

My bank details:
F van der Harst, Breda.

ING-bank Amsterdam
Account nr 3816013
IBAN ING NL37 INGB [protected]

Thanx so far,
I hope this is the last email I need to write to you,
have a nice life.

F van der Harst, Ulaan Baatar.

Around lunchtime in Europe I sent another one:

Hi Ms Atanasova,
How's your Monday coming along?
Mine is pretty f**cked up.
What about refunding my 370 Euro?

After lunch I sent another slightly polite request:

Hi ms Atanasova, how was your lunch?
Mine was reasonably horrible.
My daughter is on the way from Bijing to Bangkok COMPLETELY not due to your efforts.
Quite the contrairy.
It is now evening here in Ulaan Baatar, and I think it high time for you to react.
I might get some sleep tonight.
Below I have copied all details for you, just to make sure we are talking about the same ###.
Please reply as quickly as you did before, before I sent my money your way.

This is not the only one case Ana.
Recently I was waiting for two weeks to get my electronic tickets.
The treatment of Edreams is very unprofessional. In my case I thought I had already lost the money I had paid for my tickets. The communication with Edreams in Spain was never personalized. I was lucky enough that I contacted the airline directly, and then they gave me all the details of my booking and the Edreams office that did the reservation. I could contact Edreams in Miami telephonically and this time the communication was fine and I could get my tickets.
Never before I had troubles when buying a ticket online. Only now with Edreams. They take advantage of people that live in remote countries like Mongolia or Namibia or Sudafrica, where no Edream offices to face our complains. It was a real nightmare.
I was ready to demand Edreams with IATA

eDreams unauthorized fee

I have booked with eDreams before and hadn't had a problem until this week.
Right before I book my flight, I reviewed the cost and accepted the charges, etc for the flight. I receive my confirmation email a few minutes later and noticed that there is a fee for the travel agency that WAS NOT listed under the agreement statement i accepted. I emailed customer service and the claims department, only to receive condescending emails that state the airline charge was noted upon confirmation. NO IT WAS NOT. The charge was added AFTER I submitted my payment and they keep telling me that i'm in error when it's clear that there was an authorized charge. I'm so irritated because the phone numbers listed on their site DON'T WORK! and i might never get this resolved. Lesson learned, not booking with these jerks again!

Me too! I didn't get my ticket because they had a 'server error' yet they charged me small fees twice. Fees that weren't listed for a service I didn't receive.

Perhaps i read your thread before i booked my ticket throgh eDreams. Exactly the same problem of unauthorised fees that they have charged on my credit card after i confirm my payment. I got shocked that the screen of payment fees apeared just after i entered all my credit details and agreed for a payment. i mailed to them but not a good response. phone numbers listed on the websites are also not working. PLS NEVER BOOK THE TICKETS FROM THIS CHEATING AGENCY ! i even would like to take actions against them but don't know about where should i lodge a complaint, if anyone has any idea about this then pls let me know.

Thanks
Amar

eDreams unissued airline ticket

I attempted to book a flight from johannesburg south africa to london (for my son who needed to urgently return to uk). Edreams offered a number of choices the best being 16/12/2010 etihad airlines 1355 to london via abu dabi £387. I accepted the offer and entered the visa electron debit card detail. Immediately I received an email advising a booking reference 5qs4wz but that there was a problem with my card and that they would advise what to do in order to effect payment and secure a ticket. They then demanded photocopies of my debit card /passport / id. I immediately went to my bank and was told the edreams had been credited with £487 at the moment of the transaction online 7.30 pm 16/12/2010. I attempted to fax them - no response. I attempted to phone - no response. I have emailed them many times requesting a ticket issue or refund - no response. Ian. [protected]@gmail.com

Actually they did refund this ticket. But the credit - to my debit card took nearly two months to be verified. i.e. The funds were returned - but took months to get back onto my card. My bank later asked me if I was crazy wanting to supply edreams all my personal details and even a photocopy of the debit card

eDreams booked flight for wrong day

Two days ago I have booked multiple destination tickets (London-Prague / Prague-Zurich / Zurich-London). We checked the booking thoroughly before proceeding with the payment (since I read some bad reviews on this company on various websites). Everything appeared to be fine so I proceeded with the payment.
The following day I opened the e-mail with booking confirmation and found that the date of the last journey (Zurich-London) was not correct (instead of 10 days after the second flight they booked me a ticket leaving just two hours after the second flight)! I contacted the company via e-mail to allert them and received response to call spanish number. There I was informed that they cannot do anything unless I pay over 80 euros for modification of the booking plus of course additional extra for the flight ticket should the price of the ticket at the correct date changed since the booking. Since I am not the only one with the same problem (I found several reviews with identical issue) I suspect that they may have some bug on their website causing this. Their customer service is way bellow the UK standard - unreachable, calls expensive, staff at call centre rude and unhelpful. I would advice anyone who is consider purchasing anything from this company to avoid them at all costs! NIGHTMARE.

I had similar problems one time with EasyJet and two times with travelplanet24.com .
I am now sure that there is no bug on their websites, this is something embeded so that we would pay the extra fee for changing the date to the correct one...

eDreams Why after years of committing fraud is this company still allowed to operate its website

My son had to book a last minute business flight from Switzerland to Germany and booked a flight through eDreans the day before he wanted to fly. Everything appeared to go smoothly and they emailed him an e-ticket for a Lufthanza flight from Geneva to Munich. On arriving at the airport his e-ticket was invalid and he had to pay again for a flight to Frankfurt (it was imperitive that he get to his business meeting the next day). I have now discovered that this company has been defrauding/robbing people for many years. Why are they still trading?!

I've just been hit for more than 1, 400 pounds by eDreams. I tried to book with them but all three of my cards were rejected (both on-line and on the phone). So I went elsewhere and bought a ticket. Next thing I find out that eDreams went ahead a day later and took the 1, 400 pounds from one of my cards and I never heard another thing from them. When I write to their customer service email, I get silence. Does anyone know how we can get these guys to stop committing this kind of fraud?

eDreams Asking for credit card copy and passport copy

I am having another bad-bitter experience with eDreams. After doing my booking (from Frankfurt to Prishtina) I received a confirmation (email) of reservation but no e-ticket was sent. Next day I got another email from e person Xavier Ramirez and I was advised to send a copy of my passport and a copy of my credit card so as to do more check. I told him that I will not give him copy neither or my passport or credit card and they should inform whether they want to cancel the flight or confirm it since I already did many booking with the same credit card. I tried to reach the phone number he gave in the email and they are invalid. I am not aware of any respectable-serious company who would ask for such confidential-personal information to be faxed or emailed. For me This is robbery attempt.
I am really furious why such crock-company should exist and urge everyone not to books with this company. I would like that this company no longer exists or close down.

My experience is almost the same. After booking a flight and submitting my card details I find that they have withdrawn a £20 booking fee but supplied no tickets. In response to my email asking what is going on, they now want me to send scanned copies of my passport and credit card by email to them!
They are obviously a scam. I have now cancelled my card to ensure I am not debited further and will persue them for a refund of the monies already stolen. DO---------------------NOT USE THIS ORGANISATION-------------------

eDreams Fraud and lack of customer service

So a few days ago I attempted to buy tickets from eDreams from Rome, Italy to Seville, Spain and I experienced some difficulties. The tickets were booked and I noticed a few days later that my credit card account was off. I go into the transactions page and I find a list of 75 transactions from eDreams sucking away my money for no reason. They have stolen triple the amount that I was supposed to pay for the tickets. Then came the next problem...the lack of customer service.

The customer service section has not responded to one of my emails over the past 4 days except to tell me that they did not receive the emails from before. Then when I resend them the email from before (mind you I hit reply from their message) I still receive no response. Dealing with this company has been a NIGHTMARE. Their phone numbers are bogus as they do not work from landlines from Italy or the United States, so it is literally impossible to get in contact with this company when the time calls for it. If you have to book a flight anywhere

Having what sounds like the exact same problems. What's with this company? How do they stay in business? They have my debit card number but haven't billed me yet and won't confirm my booking and / or send an eticket! They stink! I'm worried if I make another booking instead I'll get double billed. SO wish I hadn't tried to make this booking through eDreams. Is there any organization that regulates them or is that wishful thinking?

I agree - my 'edreams' experience has been nothing but 'enightmare'. They make it virtually impossible for you to get in contcat with them to either complain or change errors that THEY made when booking my flights. After having to correct WRONG input details on their part where they gave me no other option than to return the ticket twice (where I still had to pay the insurance of 145euros) then finally after attempting to reserve this ticket for the THIRD time and even after receiving a CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM EDREAMS, they now claim 3 weeks later that my flight is not reserved and does not exist!

Most hopeless customer service EVER ; the french branch and a french employee even told me on the phone that I should go to their competitor 'govoyages' if I was not happy with them! What brilliant customer service! Last time ever in my life and I will try and make sure anyone I know does not get involved in this bogus company and its' pitiful and painful 'customer service'

eDreams Charging double price - withhelding money

Yesterday, I booked an air ticket with "edreams.fr" which cost around
800 Euros. Just after the payment I was notified that they have taken 1600 Euros from my bank account! The first 800 Euros is for the price of the ticket and the other 800 is to be returned within a month. It is amazing that this dishonest fraudulent practice is not illegal. Even if they return the money as they promise, it creates too much unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and problems for thousands of people.

AVOID edreams before you start dreaming about your own money!

eDreams Charging booking fee without flight confirmation

After seeing all of the complaints about edreams here my suspicions about them have been confirmed. It seems to me that they are internet scammers and am wondering how they can be stopped from wasting people's time and ripping their customers off? Is there a group who are trying to tackle them. I made an online booking and a few days later I discovered that there had been a "system failure" and the booking had not been completed although they had debited my credit card for the booking fee. I asked them to refund it and they informed me that it had been refunded immediately including a very bogus looking statement ? I kept checking my online statement and it still hasn't been refunded. They didn't reply anymore until i sent them copies of my online statement confirming that it hadn't been refunded. I was instructed to go to a link to fill in a claim form but there was no form there and when I tried to log in to my account I was told that my password was wrong even though it was the password sent to me as a password reminder. This all bears the hallmarks of a major scamming operation and I hope that something can be done to stop them.

eDreams Malafide business practices and ignorant communication

I am not inclined to use edreams again because it seems impossible to actually book a flight.

Malafide practices:

1. asking me to send them a copy of my visacard (back and front) = unorthodox and unsafe practice
2. ignoring my emails for several days when I ask them to confirm if they have received my fax with copies of my visacard
3. then sending me a Spanish! email telling me that the price has gone up and that I will need to pay 135 euros more.

After this lengthy and unpleasant process I have mailed edreams to just cancel everything. I hope edreams will now reimburse the money they have put on hold on my visa account.

I would advise edreams to drastically change their business process. I will tell friends and family about my experiences with edreams and advise them not to use edreams: save time and money and just book somewhere else.

I'm struggling with almost similar experience but the "wall" is infront of me in earlier phase.
All phone numbers are provided without a country code. How on earth am I able to figure out what country code I should dial infront of the number?
Also during the booking I also took the premium service package. After the confirmation I realized that this is 800 local number and it cannot be used internationally.
FAX!? it's year 2016. Who on earth uses faxes these days? Why are they even using that as a option no1?

I had a very similar experience.
When I received their second email and read the paragraph quoted here below, I realized this company is a MAJOR SCAM:

>
We regret to inform you that we have not been able to process the payment for your reservation. In order to issue your e-ticket we will need copies of the following documents via fax: [protected] or [protected] or scanned to documents@edreams.com

ID card or passport copy of the cardholder
Copy of the credit card front (For safety make sure only the last fours digits are shown)
Booking reference number
Passenger's full names

Please keep in mind, since airlines change fares constantly, eDreams can not guarantee any price until tickets are issued . Therefore, we recommend that you send us the required documents as soon as possible. We will notify you of any fare changes via email so you can decide if continue with your reservation, applying the new fares, or prefer to cancel (without any additional cost).

No serious company will ever ask you to send them photocopies (or scanned copies) of your passport or your credit card over the Internet. Due to personal circumstances I travel constantly, usually booking flight, hotel and car, directly and/or through different sources, for myself and/or my family and have a vast experience in this field. This is the first time I'm trying to book a flight through e-dreams. This company is a scam and quite dangerous too because it surely succeed in getting personal information from less experienced travelers that should never be shared over the internet.
Also it is obvious that if you respond to them the least they will do is to declare the airlines raised their fare and you will have to pay 100 or more dollars extra.
I decided to ignore their request and booked with a different company obtaining the exact same flights for 190 Dollars less and of course without having to give them any copy of any personal documents.

eDreams E dreams car rental and airline bookings

I was framed by E dreams and want to expose them as well to spare any other poor trusting client loss of money and time.
They take your money then leave you completely in the dark concerning your rental.. you have no idea which company, where they are nothing... I though that before the payment went through the site would ask me to validate..you are paying for this and this etc please confirm your payment but NO, it takes your payment and leaves you in the dark until they send you a voucher who knows when... as if you are going to wait and see... what if the company is rent a wreck how do you know? Well you don't... and they don't care.
DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH E DREAMS !
Also, my friend had booked a flight with them and I had booked through another internet site . When we arrived at the check in counter, she wasn't even on the list, no trace of her anywhere and I was cause I booked through travelocity. E dreams is a scam and stay away from them please!
They don't deserve your business and youo can always get better or same price through a trusted internet travel website.

I foolishly booked three flights with edreams, without first reading the reviews on the company... i just noticed the low prices and thought it would be prudent to book with them.

for the first flight, edreams confirmed one leg of the flight but could not book the connecting flight to the destination (!)... what a waste!
for the second flight, I was told by edreams they couldnt confirm it so I made other arrangements with another website. the next day e dreams sent me a confirmation email, (which by the way was after the date of the booked outbound flight !), so i basically ended up paying twice for the same flights
For the third flight, three weeks after booking it, edreams informed me that they were unable to confirm the booking owing to a problem with the airline booking systems (yeah, right) so i had to make alternative arrangements. By this point, prices for this particular flight had risen by 100% on other websites.

This is really most inconveniencing as I do not have the time to be collating correspondence and submitting to complaints forums and seeking compensation. I just want to fly at the cheap cost that ive been quoted! I have wasted hundreds of euros on this ridiculous excuse for a company in a time and age where money and time is valuable.

eDreams Fraudulent quotes in euro instead of gbp

I visited the edreams website in the uk. Then I chose a flight from seoul to shanghai in euro. The website showed all the prices in euro. When the reservation hit my inbox - the price was 107. O5 gbp instead of euro.

I contacted the company. They refused to respond to the query and said I booked it in gbp. I then took a snapshot of the website again. They changed the website and the quoted price after I complained and then just blaimed me.

I am still awaiting a refund and had to buy a ticket at the costlier price. I am sending all the details to the advertising authorities in both brittain and spain. That is just old fashioned fraud. If it was a genuine mistake, people from all over would not be complaining about the same thing.
Don't use then, they are fraudulent

eDreams Taking money without permission

Do not use edreams under any circumstances!

I booked a flight for my mother in law from amsterdam to london return through edreams and received confirmation of the cost on email. Edreams then proceed to use my credit card details to book the outbound flight with ba and the return with easyjet, followed by an admin fee. The problem was that edreams booked the wrong esyjet flight at a much higher rate. They then rectified this by booking the correct easyjet flight but without reimburising the much higher booking. This has in effect left me out of pocket by almost double the cost that they confirmed.

Despite many calls to their contact centre (Approximately 6 lengthy calls), a number of emails with evidence of their error (Booking references, bank screen shots, etc) and promises of action, I am still out of pocket a month on from the original booking.

I have almost given up as I am no longer receiving any communication from edreams despite having 3 individuals names who promised to resolve this problem.

This is a warning to all out there that what may appear to be a reputable company offering a good deal may not be all that it appears to be.

If anyone has any ideas as well, they would be greatly appreciated

I wanted to ensure that people reading this were not under the illusion that eDreams had resolved my complaint. I responded using this site so that everyone could see the communication.

eDreams have (as expected) done nothing to resolve the problem and still owe £130, which they have no intention of repaying.

I believe that they post comments on these sites in an attempt to lessen the impact of their fraudulent behaviour.

The booking references are -

EGS39XV
ZF24QM
EGS179M

The error lies in the fact EGS179M is for the same flight as EGS39XV. I only need a return and you booked another flight using my card details.

Rather than sending details to a non eDreams email alias i would suggest that you speak to Flavia Gomes or Sergi Baig in the customer services department as they are fully aware of the problems caused by eDreams.

Dear Madam/ Sir,

during the booking process of above mentioned reference I did not see that additional charges will apply for normal baggage of the tiger air flight,
because it was not addressed properly enough. I do feel betrayed here and I would appreciate your advise how to rectify this issue.

Your help is very much appreciated and I remain

Hi All Yes I am one of the latest victims of there scam. They just double charged me after getting authorization for the transaction. The bank then just allowed the next two transactions to go through. Which added up to the the original amount authorised. There are a few ways we can get action going. Firstly claim from you bank's fraud department which I believe might well be legally obliged to refund you. Secondly If after giving them (www.edreams.com) a chance to pay back the money within three days they fail to do so then get all their email addresses and send then thousands of emails on a daily basis. One can re-forward the same message from you sent box. Just cut and paste the addresses in each time and you will be sending a fantastic amount of emails. Thirdly, if there are some hackers out there looking for a good cause to support then you could contribute by either hacking their site www.edreams.com or attacking it with a DOS attack (for those of use in English this is a Denial Of Service attack) using a program such as the Low Oribt Ion Cannon. An additional method for those who have a Firefox browser is to use the WOT (Web Of Trust) add on, which allows you to rate sites that are a danger to society. Very easy to use. It will automatically warn other web browsers of the danger! I use this to help protect my child from porn. It is just unacceptable in this day and age that people like this can just away with blatantly stealing peoples money and the authorities don't do anything. Therefore we need to stand up for ourselves. It is people like this that take advantage of society. Let a beggar steal a few dollars and they get sent to jail. Let people like edreams take peoples money, which has being going on and on for years and years if you read the comments people have been posting, and still nobody does anything, unbelievable!

The best we can do, all of us, which are affected by one or another way from eDreams...is:
1st. Inform all the aircraft companies, which they selling tickets of about their behaviour and unprofessional manner...so they actualy loosing reputation and passengers this way
2nd. If they are registered in Spain, than we can proceed further under EU legislation ...I think we could easily collect some like 1000 signatures...
3rd. Someone, who is good in bloging to register a unique name and to start a specifiede blog with one simple purpose only, to protect hundred of tousands new travelers for making such a mistake and to shows in googling immediately after their home page.

eDreams Fraud taking money

Edreams took all my credit card details for a specific flight then never issued my flight and issued another flight which had nothing to do with me with my credit card. It's been 6 months. I have complained and sent a claim and haven't yet gotten a refund! When talking to them on the phone they were very unusefull and couldn't help. They suggested I go to the police... I am still trying to find ways to get this money back! I will never book with them again!

eDreams Scam direct flights

I went on eDreams and booked a DIRECT flight from Orlando to Rome. At the time of the booking the webpage displayed a box to access only direct flights and I made sure to check it. I wanted exclusively a direct flight and I checked multiple times on different days just to make sure.
eDreams proposed one direct flight: Orlando-Rome with US Airwyas 718 (cost: 1119 $).
At the same time, I checked for other flights with one stop only and I found several for about 800 $. At this point I booked the direct flight at 1119 $ and got my trip reservation with apparently not stops.
On the day of my trip I discovered in Orlando airport that mine was not a direct flight, but I had a connection in Philadelphia for both ways.
eDreams doesn't make itself responsible because US Airways did not communicate the flight details.
US Airways claims that the flight is visible as 1-stop flight, so is not responsible.
As a matter of facts, eDreams got the money for a direct flight and gave me a cheaper 1-stop trip without any notice.
Stay away from both companies if you can.

eDreams Cancelled flight booking not refunded

I have read the many complaints on your website about edreams.com wish i found out this sooner I have also been scammed by edreams.

I booked a flight from Gatwick to Kiev online with edreams, but the website froze during my booking it, so i contacted them within 1 hour and cancelled it and requested a refund to my credit card as i booked it with another company, but they just sent me an email confirming the canelled booking but would not confirm that they would refund my money of £204.00 which was an over priced ticket anyway.
Since then I have repeatedly emailed them about this but they don’t even answer my emails, this is disgraceful way to treat people and customers a complete disgrace they should be made bankrupt immediately
To this date I still have not received a refund or even a reply from them.

I agree with your complaint about eDreams BIG TIME. Last September, I booked a flight from Rome to Miami for a trip in May 2011 and the dates I entered on the confirmation came out on the printed document as a date one week from the date I was making the purchase. I immediately noticed the error within minutes, and read the general terms on how to reach customer service/make changes, immediately sent an email stating the proble asking for resolution every two hours for two days; phone Barcelona, phoned the US customer service line wrote latters and faxed to eDreams all in the day and the day following the day I made the purchase with NO RESPONSE! I immediately contacted AMERICAN EXPRESS WHO SUSPENDED THE CHARGES FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS AND THEN REINSTATED THE CHARGES. tHYE DID THIS EVEN AFTER I PROVIDED 42 PAGES OF CLEAR DOCUMENTS THAT GAVE DATES AND DESCRIPTIONS OF MY REQUESTS. I ASKED AN ATTORNEY WHO SUGGESTED I FILE SUIT IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT AS A REMEDY. THE COST OF THE TICKETS WAS $ 1, 700 WHICH I DON'T INTEND TO EAT. FURTHERMORE, I PURCHASED TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE. I AM LOOKING FOR A US MAILING ADDRESS FOR EDREAMS AS WELL AS TA ASSOCIATES AND PERMIRA WHO ACQUIRED EDREAMS IN THE LAST YEAR. I HAVE ALSO CONSIDERED BUILDING A FILE OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND I WHO HAVE EXPERINCED FRAUD LOSSES AND FILING A CLASS ACTION SUIT IF I CAN LOCATE AN ATTORNEY WHO WILL TAKE ON THE SUIT.

eDreams Accepting credit card details on line for airlines that are not applicable

I sent Edreams three emails with no response for the following issue I experienced. Am shocked this is happening. Below is a copy of the email I sent. In a nutshell, Edreams are collecting credit card details for bookings on line & confirming the booking. While in fact, for many airlines on line purchase is not available if you are not a national of that country. Misleading and false advertising plus is it legal to collect CC details when they are not applicable to your purchase?

To whom it concerns,
I am still waiting a response to the below complaint. Please respond to this email with a status update by Thursday the 4th March.

To whom it concerns,

I have a serious complaint in relation to your on-line booking system, in particular, your payment method verification process.

I am currently in Brasil. Three of us booked flights via your website for an internal flight within Brasil. During the booking process ( via the Brasilian edreams website) I was prompted for my credit card details which was verified successfully. My colleagues ( via an Australian edreams website) were prompted for their credit card details which was verified successfully, furthermore my colleagues account was debited the cost of the flight.

THERE WAS NO PROMPT OR WARNING TO INDICATE THAT OUR FLIGHT WAS RESERVED, not confirmed.

I have travelled South America for six months and I am used to looking at payment method confirmations and reservations. If a flight placement is being reserved, you prompt the user that it is being reserved at time of booking and DO NOT prompt for credit card details entry. This is how it works with all the other sites. Your site, accepts and prompts for Credit Card details...which is invalid since as I understand it you request a fax confirmation of payment or bank transfer. Hence this is false and deceptive advertising or lack of an IT team. It is not appropriate to send out an email with a disclaimer mentioning that you need to further provide additional details in relation to payment. Why would I think that you would prompt me for payment details online, accept and confirm it and that I would then need to provide you with further information?

Since my flight was fully booked when I called to verify booking, I have missed my flight to Rio and my friends wedding.

I would like a detailed email explaining why your system does not verify nationality & hence inform the user that payment is not possible on-line. I will be taking this further unless I get a reasonable explanation.

Please confirm receipt of this email and please confirm when & who will be addressing my complaint.

Regards,

Robbing ###! After trying to book flights from Paris to Bristol eDreams said they couldn't confirm the booking so I went ahead and booked with another company only to find that eDreams took the money from my account the next day. The other company refunded directly into my account. I then found out that eDreams had put my name on their credit card and recived my refund, I am sure this practice is illegal, they have stolen my money! They are almost impossible to contact, I wont give up. I don't know how they are getting away with this.

eDreams Fraude/robbery

I want to post a complaint about 'Edreams'.

After reading all that is online I am now aware of the dishonesty and abuse practiced by 'Edreams' as well as the scams!

I processed a reservation on edreams (A Spanish company) for a trip to Geneva Switzerland on the 29th November 2009 returning on the 2nd December 2009. In good faith I provided my credit card details for payment.

The airline Easyjet three days ago cancelled the service after debitting my credit card and edreams did the same. I am now left without the service and neither edreams nor Easyjet want to return the full amount that they debited for a service that was not provided.

Easyjet state that they will (hopefully in 5 to 10 working days time) return only their part not the 36, 00 Euros debited by edreams. Edreams refuse to return my money for a service that will not be provided. This to me seems like a dirty dishonest scam and fraude.

If the service was cancelled 'not by me' I do not have to be the one to be penalized or robbed.
There must be an agreement between edreams and airlines for these types of situations that are far from ethical.

I want the total amount of my money that was debited not partial amount. I know that other people have been victims of this same, what I identify as scam! Multiply this by hundreds and these companies are making a lot of money with what I call camouflage robberies.

Not only does the victim lose interest of their money but they also lose part of their money. This is unacceptable.

These what I identify as robbers must be detered. Some EU entity and Visa must block their dishonest access to people's money.

I have even more interesting story for this company which is using "the latest data encryption techniques to ensure that your purchases will be absolutely secure".

I was in the process of switching to another bank as was offered a better package. Got regular visa card with them. Moved some of my funds onto it.

The card was brand new I did not even use it in any physical shop in Denmark. Found some good deal on edreams and recomended by friends advice purchased the ticket. Copenhagen-NY. It went through all right, no requests for additional info, or pass check etc.

Card was put aside for some time and this very single time used on edreams.com. It was laying home basically.

Few weeks after I get debit on my statement, one for edreams flight purchase the exact amount of booking and one more for amount similar to edreams purchase with difference of few euros.

The company charging me strangely enough is also originating from Spain and i get the bill for some hostel payment in Barcelona.

I dont know how to explain this, since my visa is brand new, I didnt go to barcelona and it was laying at home in Copenhagen all the time, so i didnt even use outside, so somebody can misuse it. The only purchase was done though internet and on edreams.com

Luckily enough My bank covered the amount for me and it was obvious credit card misuse, but i am very doubtfull about edreams so called the latest data encryption techniques to ensure that your purchases will be absolutely secure.
