Dollar Tree Cashier checkout

I just browsed through your corporate website that brags about good customer service and values...nothing could be further from the truth...

I would like to see some good old fashioned customer service where the casher hands me my receipt and my package, and says with a smile..."Thank you...come again..."

Instead (just a few minutes ago at your store on Alvernon and Grant in Tucson, AZ) my receipt sat sticking up in the register while my package sat on the counter somewhere behind that stupid plastic divider (useless swinging piece of crap) and a cold stare from the cashier...I started walking out without my package (out of sight out of mind)...I pulled the receipt out the register in frustration...as I walked out the cashier held up my package to remind me to take it...I wouldn't have left it in the first place if she handed it to me like a good cashier does...

While I was in line I saw her try to hand some things through the plastic divider (swinging) to a customer in a clumsy way...not her fault...that stupid plastic divider serves no useful purpose...take it down!

Teach your cashiers to smile and mean it...

It begins with a good company attitude...trainers need to insist on pleasant personalities and good customer service...the definition needs to change back to what it used to be...a smile and "thank you...come again" along with handing the customer's package to him or her...

Long lines and the need for speed cannot be an excuse for rudeness and bad service...

I totally agree... I just posted a complaint about the same thing. Whatever happened to thank you and just plain good customer service. I don't really like working either but I try to treat people with some respect.

I guess we were trained wrong.

Dollar Tree Manager 88130

Do not need the g.M. Of this store to call me. He is no help. I asked for his someone else to talk to and he has not given me the number. Help please... I work for this dollar tree and the manager has been saying im a thief among other things. She has lied and said she just hired me for holidays when that is not true at all. I have even talked to the g.M. Which has not been no help and knows whats been going on. She is doing all this because 911 had to take me to the er and this is retaliation, defamation of character, and employment defamation. The extra stress this has caused because of the lies and run around the g.M. And the manager have been giving me is making my hair fall out from the stress. I am not the only one that has had issues with the manager irene and every worker there has said "the gm will not do a thing nothing will change." this is not right at all. There is more as well. Dollar Tree Management harassment

My name is Barb Loisel Im a senior citizen I was a former employee of Dollar Tree in Cloquet Minnesota my last day was 1/2/23 I was hired as a cashier, I was trained by a very nice young girl for five hours the following day is was put on a register by myself I tried to get someone up to help me with the customers I was extremely busy the assistant manager Annette just stayed in the back filling the freezers customers in line asked why I was by myself I just had to tell them I don’t know Annette always yelled at me in front of customers I was quite embarrassed the day I quite I was on the register again by myself I opened up the store assistant manager Annettewas again in the back she then came up at the end of my shift I was very busy again while clocking out Annette looked up at my register and the little red $ sign was then showing I don’t think it was showing until she came up she then again yelled at me in front of customers again she then told me to grab my cash drawer and bring into the office as I just sat down to count down the money the manager Vanessa & assistant manager Annette both made me feel very uncomfortable by yelling at me again customers again could hear the office is open above so your voice goes thru to customers in the store, I then was getting written up for not calling a manager up to do a cash check when the red dollar sign showed up I didn’t have time to even notice that if it was even there at that time the assistant manager Annette again yelled at me because I wasn’t giving her the money fast enough, like I said earlier I’m a senior citizen and I kind of do things a little bit slower again she made me very uncomfortable I then got up after signing the written up warning I couldn’t take it any more I then quite I told both managers I can’t work in the environment the cloquet Minnesota store is quite dirty I opened up four days a week I would take a broom & dust pan and sweepup the isles and always had to pickup items that were on the floor that had fallen off the shelves, there were days I would come in to open up there would be boxes all over the front of the store near where the customers need to walk in the # 1 register cannot be used it’s full of stock & garbage the back room you can’t even get into, so much stock back there no one really put things out food on shelves & freezer are not being rotated my 3 day there I worked with a cashier that came in just before I was done with my shift I needed to ask her how to do something being I just started over the last couple of days before Christmas, yes I know it was the wrong time to start, but I noticed they were very short handed so I applied that day got hired right away started two days after that any way that cashier made fun of me in front of customers also telling them how stupid o was I did work two weeks yet after that, I never worked again with her I love working for dollar tree I didn’t need the job I just wanted to help out. My husband and I did go shopping in the store the next day, the assistant Manager Annette just glared at me I really felt in easy again, I couldn’t get out of the store fast enough Thank you for letting me write this again the store is 1301 Hwy 33 south Cloquet Minnesota Management is Vanessa and Annette

Dollar Tree Employee attitude and being short changed

I went to your store #3080 on Normandy Blvd. I was in line to pay and as she was ringing me up, the system went down. The manager then told everyone in line, "If you want to put your stuff in a basket, you can come back when the system comes". So that's what I did. I told her I would run one more errand and be back in just a little bit. When I got back, I went to the line and patiently waited so I could ask where my basket was. Come to find out, they had no intention of holding ANYTHING. The minute I left, they proceeded to put everything back into bins marked as returns. The manager was in her office and said over the speaker. Only take your stuff out of the bins, DO NOT take the bin. I found some of the items I had picked out, but got frustrated they decided to not honor what THEY said they would do. So, I got what I could find and proceeded to check out. Brenda was very rude. Apparently I made her mad when I stood in the wrong "place" to pay. My order came to 9.31 so I handed her 10.40. She only gave me 9 cents back when it should have been 1.09

Desired outcome: The company needs to send the entire staff to customer service training or some sort of a class on how to deal with the public since that's their job. This store USED to be friendly and clean. It was neither.

Every time you go there and ask for something, they say they're out of stock and the item is sitting in the isle in the box on a cart loaded down with other boxes. All the isles are jammed with mdse. That has not been put out. And the manager and employees are never at the registers and when you can find them or get them out of the office they are so rude you want to just leave and never go back. This store needs new management and staff parking lot use to be full of cust, cars now hardly ever see many vehicles there because of the way it is run!

Dollar Tree The bathrooms at your groton ct location are a health hazard

You need to hire a professional company to clean, disinfect the bathrooms. This is not and should not be done by the manager or the employees. It needs to be professionally done before the state of ct recieves a complaint, which is my next step, and will come and close down this location. This is not a joke or a prank. Again, no fault of the manager(s), assitant manager(s) or employees; check the records and a few weeks or a mont ago both bathrooms were shutdown/closed due to a plumbing problem and overflow/backup of the sewage system hence the current need for a professional cleaning. Might as well hire the same company to do the entire store.

Dollar Tree Rude / customer service / manager

Today I went to the Dollar Tree on North Side in Visalia 93291 Store # 4142. I went with my Husband at 1:09 pm. There were two people working the store manager (Cindy) and a New cashier (Carson). Well Carson was standing at the end of his register on his phone but he was on his break. There were like 20-25 people in line. Cindy told Carson you know you can get fired if you work on your break. But for #1 he shouldn’t be standing at his register because it makes people mad exspecially with the very long line. Anyways I was in the back of Cindy line that had around 12-14 people it. My husband was standing at Carson’s line even though he wasn’t open my husband knew he was opining up very soon. While waiting in Cindy’s line my husband said Steph come up here he is open. While at the register she’s in the cash register behind Carson and Cindy tells me and my husband you are NOT NEXT. The line is back there and mumbled some other Crap she was saying under her breath. Just being a (Karen). Anyways Carson rang us up. After giving him our $ he forgets to give me my charge. So Carson turn around and tells Cindy I forgot to give them there change. Cindy starts rolling her eyes as she’s mumbling under her breath as she’s looking eye to eye to Carson with the meanest/Ugliest look on her face all the way walking to him.””” You know that look your mom gives you like you just wait until we get home” And another thing the store “Manager” has a football team shirt on “ Not a good impression exspecially to a New employee. I told my husband when we got in the car that if it was another customer cutting in front of you I know you wouldn’t be having at all. But at the register he already wrang the 9 items I bought up. So at this point even the customer behind us didn’t mind us going in front of him. But Cindy had that I’m over worked, under paid, too many customers and All she has working was “the New Boy” And her. Well that about wraps it up. The Manager CINDY is VErY Rude most of the time and the other time she in her (Office). You know I think the store manager needs a 2 week vacation to get rested up, and to get a attitude adjustment. I know the holidays are very stressful I’ve worked customer service & fast food for 21 years already but if you don’t like your job it shows in your performance, customer service, boady language and attitude. Dollar Tree EMPLOYEE name NIko store#1897

Customers including myself was at the register and the cashier name Niko was on the phone with his friend carrying on hold conversation,he did not speak and he did not acknowledge the customers after he rung everything up, no eye contact he need to be fire that is bad customer service,and to top it off he had on a cap turn to the side and a jacket with no uniform on.I hope something will be done by that!

Dollar Tree Managers verbal abuse toward myself

I am a Senior Citizen, handicapped & use a walker. Today, Dec 29, 2022 I went into the Dollar Tree to purchase a few items. I wasn't able to find any AAA batteries. At the 1 check stand that was open, there were 3 boxes stacked on each other showing that they were AAA; however, after looking at a few of the batteries I only saw AA batteries. When the cashier came back to the register, I advised her that I couldn't find any AAA batteries. She proceeded to go to locate the AAAs for me when the girl with her told her to stop as there were a lot at her register. I told her that even though the boxes showed AAA only AAs were there. She than asked me if I had looked through all of them. Her tone was disrespectful & I asked her to not talk to me in that manner. She started to walk off & I asked her if she was the Manager. I was told she was indeed the Manager. I than told her that she needed to find another job as Customer Service was not her forte. She than told me that if I didn't like it, I could go elsewhere which I said I would. I proceeded to walk to the door which she held open & told me to "and don't let the door hit you in the butt as you walk out". Her attitude & behavior were unconscionable. I had worked in Customer Service at the Phone Company for 30 years & I've never

spoken to a customer or had a customer speak to me in the manner this person did. At this particular Dollar Tree I have always been spoken to in a kind & respectful manner. I am aghast that someone of her caliber

would even be working for your company. That kind of talk is abusive &

unacceptable in my eyes. This Dollar Tree is located at 520 128th Everett, WA.

Desired outcome: I would like to see some type of disciplinary action taken, an apology to me & possibly some customer service/managerial training for her.

Dollar Tree Employees cursing

I was at the checkout and two female employees were cursing back and forth and the cashier waiting on me addressed the by saying, ladies please! The one at the other counter said they can get out of my fu&#ing store. The little old lady behind me was upset. The tall cashier said Oh we have to watch what we [protected]@&ing say in front of customers!

Dollar Tree Customer Service

I was in your New Albany MS store on Christmas Eve night and they had 2 cashiers a white girl, who is always there and just as sweet as can be and a rude black girl. The line was a mile long and the cashier on reg 3 was working as fast as she could to get us taken care of. The manager, the managers daughter, which works there to was all on reg 1 talking laughing and goofing off and when the cashier on 3 asked for help, they all got mad at her. I go in there a lot and the manager is never there. They say she has family problems and could not make it. Things need to be done and the manager needs to be fired and her daughter does not need to be working for her mother! The poor girl that was on reg 3, quit because of the way they done her!

Dollar Tree man that works always making me feel uncomfortable

This man that works there. He has been there awhile.2 yrs or so. Iv already filed a complaint on him a yr or so ago. Making my girlfriend uncomfortable. By stalking her in the store. Always walking by her making weird noises. And now everything we go there. He makes us feel at unease. Stalking us like we are trying to steal something. Trust me. My freedom is worth more to me then trying to steal something that only costs $1.25. The last time we. Me and girlfriend were in the store. He must of told his co worker to watch us. I'm just so tired to being made to look like a bad person due to this man. If this keeps up. I will be making a video of this issue. And getting my lawyer involved.

Desired outcome: This guy needs better training on how to treat customers. If not. Remove him from the store.

Dollar Tree Poor management same results

Dollar tree opened on Christmas eve for 11 hours, closing at 7pm. Still not even a half day, nor enough cashiers scheduled properly, no respect here, no appreciation. Just some little girl acting as manager Jessica Mejia! Jessica was given $20 tip from customer. Now store policy about customers giving tips is that the employee must give tip to store and not allowed to pocket tip! Jessica pocketed tip and bragged to other managers. Jessica is extremely lazy, slacking often, 12 years of misconduct as corporate ignores and accepts unprofessional behavior from such pathetic management! Disgraceful, shame on corps state and wonder why people steal products from them. And sue them. Always selfish and ready to give certain employees a write up just because she can. Corporate shows employees NO respect nor appreciation, no condolences when employee died, just greed for lust for paper with dead presidents printed on and given some value to. Money, greed, lust, repeate. Burn in he'll dollar tree corporate [censored] [censored]face mother [censored] yours!

Dollar Tree Manager

I Cameran Argrett ([protected]@outlook.com) employment with Dollar Tree started 5/22 @ 3005 W. Lake Mary Ste 106 32746. Lake Mary FL. I worked there until approximately late October. I was always on time, work late and filled in for anyone who needed me. Durning the time of my employment my supervisor rewarded me with a gift card with appreciation of my being on time and willing to help. Durning the month of October/November the store changed supervisor. Her name was/is Kayla. She's not pleasant with any of the black employees. When asking her any questions she was always nasty. My co-worker and I were the only black young workers working there at that time. She tried keeping us distant from working together and never wants us to talk. I came into work early to start my shift. She came to me asking was I scheduled to work at that time. I responded saying I came in early to help out. She told me to clock out and to never come in early again. The next day I didn't come in. But return on my next scheduled shift. I was talking with an employee, and she told me to leave because I was interfering with other employees. She took me off the schedule for the remainder of the week. I didn't return to work; I found another job. But when I came back to ask her about my last check. Her response was I didn't have one (in a nasty tone) and she was rude to my mother. As if she wanted to fight. If you contact my previous supervisor from this location, they can verify my character.

Desired outcome: All I want is to receive my last check. And report racism.

Dollar Tree Harassment from store manager against freight manager

Lytle Tx. Store 06877: The store manager at this store spends all day complaining about the freight manager and has no grounds for her continuous negative remarks about him, which she discusses with all employees and brings her personal problems to the store. The employees that work here do not like working under these conditions and personal information should not be discussed with anyone who will listen. We have had numerous employees quit due to her continuous bad-mouthing of him. Something needs to be done about the attitude and rudeness she displays on a daily basis. Her personal problems at home that she brings into the store, make employees not want to come to work. She has been seen sitting in the office not able to fulfill her duties and it makes the employees very uncomfortable. The freight manager is continuously harassed and written up on stuff that could be resolved by speaking to him without the attitude and rudeness she displays.

She has said to many employees of the store and other stores that she is going to get him fired. If she would put as much energy into actually working the store might actually look decent and take some pressure off the others.

Someone needs to really look into her work ethic. The store manager should be leading by example like her ASM.

Desired outcome: Would like for someone to look into what she actually does all day. And see how she speaks to the freight manager in front of other employees and most customers.

Dollar Tree Order number EC359707467

I am writing because it’s been over a year and I have not received my refund for the return of two boxes of the, “Beware” signs, order number EC359707467. The signs I ordered on August 24, 2021 (copy enclosed) had a scalloped edge. The signs I received on September 1, 2021 (copy enclosed) had just a straight edge. Becky Ensley is the gal who helped me with the return order (copy of her hand written note is enclosed). As soon as she opened the boxes, I saw the straight edge signs and told her I did not want them because they were not what I had ordered. If I’d wanted those kinds of signs, I’d of just picked up as many as I needed at the Dollar Tree store. Becky supposedly did the return for me but on October 1, 2021, I found out from a co-worker she didn’t know how to do returns.

On October 1, 2021, I received an email saying I had an order to pick up. I took time out of my busy schedule to go to the store and check it out. They found the two boxes of “Beware” signs that were to have been returned on September 1, 2021 still sitting in the back room. That was the order they text me to come pick up. No one there could tell me what was going on. They said a guy would be arriving at 7:30pm that evening and would be giving me a call. But I never received that call.

On 4/22/22, I sent a message to Headquarters & never got a response from them.

I don’t know where else to turn to in getting help.

I would appreciate if you would refund me the $72.00 for the return of the two boxes of the, “Beware” signs plus the $4.32 sales tax bringing the total to $76.32.

Dollar Tree My recent order

I recently placed two orders with dollartree on the same day. One came very quickly and dropped off and the other was taking a long time to be delivered. Last week UPS had left me three tickets and asked for a signature. I left each ticket on the door of my house with the signatures on the back like it states and the driver never took the tickets just left another stating that he needed a signature. I called UPS after the third attempt and they said they no longer take signed tickets but the driver wrote on the tickets to sign them. They told me I had to physical be there to get the package. Why have a ticket that says sign if I cant sign? I work during the times they dropped them off I can't be there in the mornings and I have never had a dollar tree order thats needed a signature before. I called Friday evening and spoke with someone in customer service about it and she told me that I would receive a refund when it was returned but I only got back the item cost a not a full refund. I asked the women I spoke with about why it needed a signature and that Ive never had an issue before now with any order I had had from here but she didnt have an answer for me. I called today and spoke with someone on why I did not get a full refund and she said it was because I didnt not sign for the packages and I did the driver just never looked. She just kept stating the same thing over again and saying it's my fault when I was explaining how I did sign for it and its the drivers error that he didnt take the tickets. She said that she only works for dollar tree and not UPS and to take it up with them which I had previously told her I had called them already. My issue is that she was rude when handling the situation and that I should not have to eat the cost of delivery for whoever processed my order at dollar tree for a signature being needed and a delivery driver that apparently can't see4.

Dollar Tree Manager-at Store #6037 4235 Palm Beach Blvd Ft Myers FL, [protected] US

Purchase #[protected]// Receipt date 12/19/22 at 13:28PM// I asked for a refund, and she snatched my receipt out of my hand. I was told Riley at this location was a new manager as if that would make me feel better. I had no way of confirming if she was the Manager, she was so rude.

She is extremely rude disrespectful and confrontational! I asked for a refund, and she snatched the receipt out of my hand after I asked for corporate office number. She went to the back office never came back until I asked another cashier to go get her. She came back out after the other teller was explaining to how to contact the corp office as if she wanted to do something. This is a franchise, and she should not be working there, she is horrible (I am sure there is a video of her actions). She should be Fired!~~~ She is not manager material and rude! I am going to the contact every corporate office until I am heard. I am a consumer and spend a lot of money at this location! I will not go to another location and inconvenience myself because of her rudeness! It is unacceptable and unprofessional! The information I received for corporate was incorrect and not sure if it was given to me that way on purpose. I took the liberty of googling corporate office. I want a key decision maker to contact me regarding this matter asap. She is a liability to your organization.
