This is a complaint about a Dollar General in Conway, South Carolina:
I am so tired of rude clerks! Can someone relate to this!? I like shopping at Dollar General, the prices are right and I go there often. But I have ruled out one location because of a rude clerk. I have been putting up with this person for a while, just kept thinking she was having a bad day or something. She has never said "hello" when I walk in, never says hello, how are you, did you find everything you need, etc, the usual polite things a clerk is supposed to say to a customer. I have always been polite to everyone, no matter what the situation, even if the other person is being an a__.
Yesterday I went there again, and there she is, having a friendly conversation with the customer in front of me, then when it gets to be my turn, she looks at me, I smile, and she sort of "jumps" like I have cooties or something, and said nothing to me, and I get the usual silent treatment. Then I wrote her a check, and she says (like a mean police officer) "I need to see your license". So, I showed it to her, thinking I was going to get arrested at any moment (I'm sick of that, too, every time I write a check at a store, I get that same treatment).
I don't know why this clerk doesn't like me, I have never been unfriendly to her, on the contrary, I have always tried to be nice! Why do clerks do this to people? I am sick to death of it, and I am tired of being treated rudely.
Look, people, if you don't want to work as a clerk, quit for God's sake, so all those other poor unsuspecting customer like me, don't have to put up with it.
I am at the dollar General in blue Ridge website says open till 10:00 I get here and they are closed 8:15pm lights on 2 cars in parking lot doors are locked
When I was pouring milk into my coffee, a quarter size piece of feces fell out. I purchased this milk on March 7 and does not expire until March 17th. The milk was purchased from Dollar General in Fruitland Park Fl. (Clover Valley)
On 2-28-23 I filed a complaint the number is 0055467 I have never been contacted by phone ,E-mail. So guess corporate is as rude as management? I'm a very unsatisfied customer.
The 5 $ Saturday coupons are not working and I still can't receive my ten dollars from my. Buy 30 dollars in gain and get ten dollars I shop everyday and look forward to the savings I need my money please it was supposed to be a ten dollar gift card today on March 15 2023
They never have their outside lights on at night. It’s very dangerous and unsafe.
I and several friends have stopped shopping at this store. The reason for it is that we are older people and someone has decided to shut down the bathroom at this store. Sometimes we need a bathroom while shopping. Have asked when the bathroom will be open and no answer was received.
I have been ordering a few items through door dash and one of them is the Clover Valley Whole Milk. Something is wrong with this brand of milk, the taste is weird and undrinkable. This is the 2nd gallon of this brand I have had and it isn't drinkable. It's going in the trash. Someone needs to stop purchasing this brand because something is off.
i always ma overcharged for my items on the mogadore road location. the workers are so naive to how to ring up items and double charge. It make me want to not go to this location again. always wrong prices. I havehad to get my own items out from under things. very unacceptable
Ive never known anyone to be so rude to their employees and vulgar when speaking on the phone. they should not allow such people to be in a managers position. he is very disrespectful, and cruel...
prices lower on many items and much higher at register was told prices should not be there and stephine at Glendale n.y. 11385 store would not honer price on sale and ripped all prices down today at 11.50 am left entire order in store and left
While checking customers out she was on a phone call talking personnel issues & wearing earbuds. Never did say Thank You or have a nice day. Was very rude to an elderly lady who asked a question about a price. The asked her twice loudly because she was on her phone. Very unprofessional.
I bought 9.5oz of crunch mini donettes on 1/09/2023 at dollar general on hwy 53...the expiration date is 21 Jan...I buy these all the time bt this pack taste like [censored]... they're not fresh and u can tell...
Before Christmas, I placed an online order; never heard back; called the store but no answer; was in the area next day & dropped by; they claimed didn't have my order but I had an email that said different; said no store phone so couldnt take calls; Corporate and Distric Manager have dropped the ball x3 wks now; still no solution

Everytime I purchase a thing of CloverValley Milk, It has some weird taste to it. This milk can't even be enjoyed because, It tasted like It was Tainted. I also have a complaint with the Toaster Pastries By CloverValley, One Time I found a Live Nagger in My Toaster Pastries.

The Dollar General Store #11779 in Senath, Missouri is a wonderful store with a great manager and excellent associates.
Every time I have asked for help in some area they have bent over backwards to help me.

Sale ad stated pop was 3 for 12 with a dollar off coupon. The pop was not 3fpr 12 it was more. Was stil able to use coupon for a dollar off but when I asked the cashier about it she just shrugged her shoulders like she didn’t even care.

No cashier at counter to assist customers walking around store talking on phones loudly and 3-4 customers in line for the 1 self check that is Available…. Not everyone wanted to use self check but they said that’s all they are using right now…. Unacceptable…. I’m not the cashier and would prefer not to be

This store is only a couple miles from my house. It is very convenient, or was until every time I went, they never had anything I needed. I get discouraged every time I go. I have decided that it’s not worth the extra time to stop there anymore because I always end up having to go somewhere else to get what I need.

I was shopping today November 7, 2022, at the new DG Market store in Corydon, IA. It opened last week. I understand it takes time to get shelves stocked, etc. The store looks great except there are not enough employees to get the boxes unloaded and items onto shelves. Could there be extra help sent to get the store started?

This is the second time that this store hasn’t opened. It is 9:27am The store is in Denham springs Louisiana on Hwy 16, has people not showing up to open it, it needs better management the old manager we never had this problem but since then the managers have sucked. Todays date is November 4th

All the food products taste like a cleaner chemical or perfume that is sprayed on them, the bread has the taste of cleaning supplies inside the bag. Everything that touches the air is saturated with this disgusting chemical odor.
This store is absolutely horrible. Very often the aisle are full of carts from deliveries that have not been put on the shelves. This makes it difficult to access the shelves, navigate the aisle or find the products I’m looking for. This store has been this way for a long time with periodic times when it’s not as bad.
I went to my local Dollar General in Prospect CT and for another time the $5 discount for Saturday did not work. This has happened before and the service cashier can not explain or correct the issue. Why give out the discount or any discount if they do not work? Please contact me at [protected].

Bad customer service can not walk around dollar general employees outside not running the register for check out the whole place just going down the manager of the store is lazy never there he talks about his customers and employees also cursing out the customers

I applied for full time position. I'm only allowed to work for "7" hours. I don't take any break but the store manager clocks me out even though I didn't take a break and still on the floor working. I work full time hours per shift but only getting paid for part time work (6.5 hours)
Poor attitude of young men cashiers. Sidles full of merchandise on buggy’s waiting to be stocked. Shelves empty! When confronted their reply is I don’t get any hours so it’s not my problem. Need management to step in and manage. Terrible way to do business

Called out one day sick and my manager told me I needed a doctor's note to come back, when I said I wasn't getting a doctor's note because you have to be out 3 days for it to be mandatory, then she fired me, then the DM called me and made me switch stores to the worst store in the district and treated me like I was worthless until I wanted to quit

The Dollar General in our town is absolutely amazing, clean, well staffed, great hours. For about the past month every time I have been in the store it has been extremely hot in there, the staff is sweating and tired. I would love to see the ac get fixed so that the staff is not suffering. Todays date is July 23, 2022.
