Dollar General

The older Dollar General Store in Jay Oklahoma, last week they had all their Christmas Decorations from the last year or longer on sale 50% off. This week the same decorations are full price again. Somebody needs to go look at this Store by suprise. Its dirty there is always no room to get around very well because they have so much and carts with more stuff to put away everywhere. It is not a one time thing literally everyday I shop there the poor crew is struggling to get things off the many carts all over and on the shelf. So why not clear out that old merchandise and make room for the new? Seriously someone is going to get hurt trying to navigate this store.

Your Store located in Terra Alta wv, is a joke, I am a council member that lives in the area, and goes to the store frequently, and I went their yesterday and today.

Yesterday the only one I saw working on helping others and customers, was a manager Carrie, and she was the only one that was on the phone, helping a customer and working on the register, and I was there today to buy something and the person named logan walked away from me and I had an item to purchase and the manager Rhonda was there and did not do anything or say anything to the cashier so i set my item down Carrie who appologized and said something was wrote up, and I just said thats ok, I will go to another store and i left but for the lady carrie to get wrote up and for them the cashier and manager I who represent the town hear alot and look over alot but there is no wonder why you dont and cant keep employees, the manager rhonda goes on vacation more than any employee i know the others are part time and working full time hours and i will have a copy of this and feel that someone needs to look into this. and I know your down to only 4 employees and some of them are about to leave this is something that I would want to understand and be attentive on so hope someone does something

around 3pm on september 1st 2023. I am or was the assiant manger till 3pm september 1st i quit bc for one the schudele wasnt posted and asked to get off tomorrow september 2nd by 8pm bc i had plans with my family i was told no bc i had to train a new person which the store manager melissa Blair told me she was having 4 on night shift anyways. Another thing i know for a facyt she has been changing my time sheet. I got sick of it and quit i really didnt want to bc i love my job. In the last few weeks i hated coming to work bc for me it felt like a bad enivorment. Im sending you screenshoots of my time sheets i bet if u go and look at them they will not make up where there were days i never got a break and she messed with the time sheet to make it look like i did

I’m a current employee of the company, along with my fiancé. We were hired together, under the same address, and the DM and SM knew we were together and told us that was fine, as long as it didn’t interfere with our work ethic and focus, or any fornication didnt occur on store property. We followed these guidelines properly, and handled all tasks very well. We have recieved countless complements from customers and coworkers on our ability to remain professional, assist customers, and complete tasks. When we were hired the store was a complete mess, and now it has improved greatly, which has also been verbally announced by multiple customers. Once the store was sorted and cleaned up and our customers began returning at a rate that was extremely impressive, we have been told that our jobs may be under threat. As of now we feel as though we have been mislead by our employers, and used in order to get the store functioning properly. This is a huge disappointment as we love our store and our jobs there, and give all the effort possible every time we work.

On 08/23/2023 at approximately 8:15 PM, I entered the Dollar General store at 405 S Michigan Ave, zip, 48602: I picked up two 20 oz. Cherry Cokes because the shelf sticker read $1.75 each, so with deposit charge, should have been a total of $3.70 for two Cherry Cokes. But when I got to the checkout, the elderly lady waiting on me rang up $4.70! When I protested, she insisted the items were $2.25 each! So I walked away briefly, returning with the attached image of the shelf sticker. I told her. "$1.75, get the stickers right!" The woman was totally indifferent to my issue, as I walked out commenting that my time was wasted. So I drove another 1/4 mile to a Family Dollar store and bought Cokes for the price they were STICKERED at. That was the LAST TIME I'll ever enter into ANY Dollar General store again! Compared to Family Dollar, workers are commonly rude or at least indifferent to customers. I'm a senior on benefits, who will no longer tolerate this sort of treatment!

good evening my name is Katelyn askew on 08/22/2023 I was terminated from dollar general before my shift even started but the real reason why I am typing this is because on 08/22/2023 my manager Mercedes Lilly called me into the office and told me i was terminated for shortage of money that happened six weeks ago i was not a key holder at the time there were two other individuals that were key holders at this time my drawer was 16$ short they failed to discuss the matter with me and this happened 6 weeks ago I spoke with the assistant store manager Jeremey on serval occasions before I came back to be being a key holder their district manager Kevin failed to explain to me about the situation there was no proof I wasn't warned or notified about the situation.

The store was locked with worker inside at 8:00pm with sign that said closed due to management. It has signs saying closed alot especially on Sunday. Or signs that say they don't take cash. With employee statement saying it wasn't here Job to get change. Really nice store if you can actually shop it.

Same COMPLAINTS verbally and keeps appearing same with various staffs that works at store in Wright City, Missouri MOLD keeps appearing. At the store there's a VIDEO camera inside and outside. Since "MENTAL HEALTH DISIABILTY" ISSUES BIG or small. COMMUNITY WE COULD AND CAN join TOGETHER.

I just got back from the Dollar General in New Port Richey, FL

11850 De cubellis Rd, and the lady behind the counter said that they weren't aloud to sell the prepaid cell phones in the locked display case.

I kinda laughed, but she was serious and couldn't give me a reason why. I even asked for the Manager and she said that there wasn't one working today. WHAT?.

If I owned into that franchise and one of my employees said a remark like that. I would fire everyone that works in that store. Because they are being trained wrong and definitely is putting the stores name to shame.

I'm still dumbfounded.

I was at store number 970 on aug 9 2023 and bought a lot of stuff two of the items were dog treats that had a white close out sign on them and stated they were 2 for 6 so I got 2 .during my check out a woman named kay who is the assistant manager scanned the treats I told her they didn't ring up tight and proceeded to show her the sign and the many other treats that were there . Her attitude was awful and said well this time I will do it but these are expired coupons I told her that wasn't my fault and that's the price that was on them as I've been a manager in a store and if the coupon was expired it's on the store to pull them . So I thought she fixed it and when I got home no she had charged me almost 450 a piece for them and not only had she dun that but charged me twice . I went bk in on the 16th with the receipt to get my money bk . I waited my turn as the cashier had a line simply asked to speak with a manager she asked what did I need and I explained to her and I had the receipt and the package of the item . She said ur bringing bk stuff ur dog ate I said I paid for them and yes he ate em I got overcharged and would like my money bk that I got over charged so she went to the bk I followed her and the assistant which happened to be the same lady who checked me out started talking and I stepped in the bk they both screamed at me to get out of the bk room and I told them I was just trying to explain they again yelled at me and Kay got up and told me she didn't even have to fix it that day but she did and I said mamn u over charged me I showed her where she quantity of 2 and cane up as 895 and than she scanned one at 450 and than she price over rided for 4.00 she never took the 895 off period and than charged me once again for one she never did give me the correct amount . She than said to me so I'm just supp give u money on what u say and I said lady u over charged me the proof is here and I'm not trying to get over anything I just want my money bk . She proceeded to be cruel and I busted out in tears and said enough is enough I'm getting a corporate number and I'm getting sumthing dun she was rude and I've never in my life been treated or talked to in that manner esp when I did nuthing wrong both of those employees were cruel to me and I dint know if I will ever shop with dollor store again but I want my money bk and sunthing dun about the way I was treated cause I had my receipt and she screwed up not me and I actually drove to the other dollie store in town crying and asked for a corporate number and could not get one no one knew ur number tgey did at least apologize but did not know a number for u and this is in Salem Indiana my name is Hope Trueblood

The truck driver was driving on hwy 328 in between harriman, tn and oakdale, tn about hit my husband on the curves. The date is 8/16/23 and the time was after 3:00 pm in the afternoon. The driver came around the curves on my husband's side of the road and never even stopped! My husband had to slam his brakes on to keep the truck from running over the top of his truck. You need to quit putting your stores in the country on the back roads that are not made for semi trucks!

These pickles are horrible. They are mushy smell horrible taste like chemicals and taste like the plastic jug. Please have these taken off the shelf before kids are eating these and don't know they are bad for them. They need to be put back into the glass jars, these pickles are being wasted and thrown away. I am sending photos the Juice is out my jug because I was throwing them away. I purchased these in July in poplarville, ms at the dollar general
