I was taken back today when supposedly an employee off duty had entered the store to take a cart in with no face mask. I said to him "no mask" and he said this store doesn't require it. When I left I see he got in his car and got a mask on. I was a little bit confused. I wear my mask to protect you and you need to wear your mask to protect me.

My first clearance event at dollar general store's I intended to make a all day event out of it going from store to store in my areas. Yesterday I thought I was going to have a great time. I didn't to say the least. I went to 3 states and 5 stores and a total of 8 and a half hours adventure.
First"store # 06213, was in hurley, virginia. Friendly. And my first disappointment. The store manager said they were not aware of any clearance event for this week. 65 items, I spent a total of $62.13. No addition 50% off.
Second" store #07367 phelps, kentucky. And my second disappointment. They was having a 3 day clearance event and the signs said addition 50% off. My 2 shopping carts was heaping over with lots of my finds. I had fun till I got to the check out. The girls was not friendly. Hardly even spoke. I keep asking was they taking 50% off the total sale of by the items. No answer. 203 items. Total was $248.10 I asked for the manager she was talking to a customer. I did not receive additional 50% off. No manager came. I was so discouraged and my excitement was gone.
Third"store#11275 was not friendly. Matewan, w. Va. They was having the clearance event no additional 50% off.3rd disapointment.92 items $126.02
Forth" store delbarton, w. Va #17000 35 items 4 sales total$53.82 nice employee and very super clean organized store! No additional 50% off.
Fifth store#09838 belfry, ky. Friendly cashier 42 items $77.97. No additional 50% as advertised again.
14 items was not a clearance item "425" items was clearance items. Total cost for all items I purchased was $316.00
I should of at least save $150.00 with the additional 50%
I'm so very disappointed. I have been waiting weeks for this clearance event and it didn't plan out like I expected. Why put signs up saying addition 50% off, if the stores are not going to "honor" what they advertise.

I was at the Lake George Mi store on June 6, 2020 and i bought $60 dollars worth of stuff and when i went to pay the cashier which is the store manager i payed with a $100 dollar bill and she got mad and said i am sick of you people bring big bills in, turned around to the safe and got money out and threw my money at me the whole time she was saying people make me sick, maybe you should of shopped across the street, i dont know why you have to shop here with your big bills so i asked if she had a problem with me or is the problem with me using a big bill and she said both. Really because i came in the store with my mask on and stayed way back away from people and you are going to treat me like crap. she said next time you come in my store you better bring smaller bills. Condition of a store
The Altavista VA store is always a mess. This is the normal daily condition of this store. Carts, merchandise, trash in the aisles so that you cant get down the aisle and blocking merchandise. It is a fall hazard for anyone, especially the handicapped. I have pictures taken June 2, 2020 of this store, and would like to send them to someone in management. This store needs HELP

Ok so in pa and apparently other states you have a sale going on with bali drinks. 2 for 3.00. My issue I am having is your register does not show the sale price it shows 1.95 a piece. It should come up if 2 are scanned 1.50 a piece. So when I explain the sale they have a gard time figuring it out but do give me the sale price. I had on store manager pull the sale off after my purchase. Can you tell me what the issue is and how to resolve it.
no that is not true. I will buy 4 botels at 2 for 3 should be 6.00 then 6% sales tax bringing my total to 6.36 but the register will say 7.85 after they hit total. your system is not taking off the 90 cents
Dirty store
I overheard manager talking to exterminator about mice getting into candy. Also the store is messy and some products out of date. This store needs a surprise visit ask store manager Ray Foss how rude he can be. Store needs to be cleaned products needs expiration dates checked. I was in the Imperial Dollar General in Imperial when we was suppose to have masks on and this drunk girl started running her mouth to my daughter who was waiting for me to pay for my stuff. the girl was using foul language and calling my daughter on to fight. Now Your manager should have stopped them. But no she just stood there and watched her. I asked her to stop and she started on me. I am 72 years old and I ask the manger to stop them. she did nothing. I know you watched the tape and you could not see that when she stepped to my daughter the third time that she was bringing up her arm when my daughter attacked her . I am not defending my daughter but now you have banned her and the other girl started it. The guy that was waiting on us is deaf and didn't know what was going on. The manger should have told them both to leave. We have been going to your store for over 10 years and never had any trouble. I was a manger and I now that she should have stepped in and made them leave. I can't believe how that store is ran. You can't get through the store half the time because there are boxes every where. Get some one in there that can do their jobs. Your employees are always outside smoking when people are waiting in line to check out. We always have to go looking for someone to check us out. These is awful that you staff let a drunk attack a 72 year old lady and just stands there a watch. This went on for a good while. And now my daughter is banned from the store for sticking up for me. VERY VERY SAD that you run your stores like this. And so you know I will be putting this on facebook so all my family and friends know not to use your stores. They are not safe.

I live in Amado and am very upset that the associates do not wear face masks. I asked and they said manager said they didn't have to. I am an elderly customer and worry greatly about not carrying about us your loyal customers. I go at least three times a week but am considering not going anymore and tell my friends as well. Even Wal-Mart associates wear them. Very disappointed.
