cleanliness and sanitary
Due to the bad flu season and germs spreading everywhere, yesterday I asked the cashier at my local store if they even thought about the disinfectant wipes at the buggy area. She said no one has ever mentioned it. Walmart carries the wipes and so does my two local grocery stores. Why doesn't Dollar General? There are so many Dollar Stores popping up everywhere around us and doesn't charge a dollar for items but rather makes cheap toys and sells at high prices. I use Dollar General for my paper products and cleaning supplies. I can't believe no one from your business has even thought about people, germs and disinfectants. This is highly unexceptable to me.
rude employees/unethical behavior
I went into the Dollar General in Palm Bay off of Jupiter on 1/11/18 at 9:55 P.M. The associate explained there was 4 minutes left to shop and there were other customers in the store as well. I was the last to check out and my ride had went down the street to purchase gas and was coming right back. After a few minutes an associate( the best way to describe her would be the only black woman working)asked if my ride was coming and I told her yes. After a few more minutes the associate asked if I would move away from the lighted area and away from the camera and move myself and my items to the end of the parking lot to a dark area next to the street because I was in the camera. As I explained to her that people are warned to stay in the lighted areas at night for safety reasons, she then proceeded to threaten me with law enforcement. This is not o.k.
survey to save $
I have been trying to complete survey's since my January 3rd purchases and the DGcustomerFirst.com site will not accept my information. To date it will not allow me to take the survey for my last four (4) purchases hence I am loosing out on $12.00! Two of the four (4) are now past the 7 day mark because of this problem.

I've done business at Dollar General Stores in this area since their opening but never have I been treated as rudely more like a criminal as I was tonight Jan 12, 2018 by an employee! I spend Ea.week around $75 to $150 on household products food and odds and ends but I will never spend another NB penny with Dollar General in Soperton GA. For starters the store is always a mess boxes blocking the isles half full of merchandise can't ever get help with anything and n tonight the same employee I've seen in there several times dressed all in black black BDU ants the type cops wear black shirt Nd so on! At first I thought she was a cop the NB way she was watching every move I made! I continued shopping When I checked out she was at the cash register there was an empty fabric glue pkg in my buggy I left there when it fell apart in my hands I just laid the glue. Down somewhere in case the store and this woman told me to go find it! I'm 65 yrs old dressed nicely with about $800 in cash in my wallet well I looked where I thought I laid it but wasn't there it dawned on me she thought I had stolen a $2 tube of glue! I'm Caucasian she was African American with as I've seen before a terrible attitude toward whites! I finally asked her to search me and my purse which she refused! This woman went on to tell me every move I made in this store! Her time could have been better spent cleaning up the messed in every isle stocking the half empty shelves and offering assistance to customers instead she's swaggering around acting like a cop harassing me! This isn't her first time doing this 3 of my neighbors said she did the same to them! There n are too many dollar stores to put up with this kind of treatment! I'm writing this complaint here but I won't stop here I'll go all the way to Tenn and the owner and founder of these stores to let them know about the discrimination being shown by some of their black employees to their white customers!
cold and sinus medicine
On Thursday, January 11, I went to the Dollar General store in Farragut to purchase some cold and sinex medicine. I wanted to look at the ingredients etc. on several medications. The medications were behind a glass enclosure. When I lifted the glass to look at the individual packages, an annoying alarm went off. The noise would not stop until I closed the glass door. I have never encountered this at any other store. I don't like not having the freedom to look at products without an alarm sounding. I will limit my shopping at this Dollar General in the future.
the way we were treated as a customer!!
I visit your location at 9440 se hwy 464c Ocklawaha Florida 32179 store # 15605 on a daily basis along with a lot of my family . Yesterday 1/10/2018 at about 3:30 pm my husband stopped in to get Dr pepper on his way home from work as he does everyday, the store was very packed and had a full line and as the cashier by the name of Jess did the full transaction and as he was putting his change up to reach to the turn style to grab his bags she snatches the turn style and says real firm in front of a bunch of customers and say I SAID HAVE A GOOD DAY real nasty . Like I said we are in that store every day and I have always had a great experience but this right here was totally uncalled for and the way we were treated was totally uncalled for ! The way we were treated by this employee was unacceptable and I will think twice about stopping there while she works there !
loyal customer falsely accused of theft by employee.
On 1/5/2017 after checking out I was followed outside and accused of theft by a german lady. Maby store manager she has not been there long. She told me not to return. I have never been accused charged arrested or convicted of theft anywhere. I frequent this store often since it was buily. I live next to it and have treated fairly until this person arrived. I've noticed that everytime I go in she stops whats she is doing to follow and harass me while shopping. I value this store since it is in walking distance and I do not drive. If this person is not terminated I and family and associates will begin open hour picketing of this store for profiling and unfair customer treatment. Begining 1/15/2017

Rude! Swearing and cussing at each other, every time I called they got rude and hung up the phone! Robert I believe was the manager was no help with what I need and another employee jasmine ignored me and walked away from me twice! People in there stealing and I'm organized I'll never go back! digital coupon
Hey, My name is Shamika Moore {[protected]@gmail.com} I visited of one of your store. (#04212) on 01/06/2018 to purchase some household items. I proceeds to checkout using the digital coupons and on some of my items the digitally coupons didn't take off. I don't understand how DG offer Digitally Coupon and it will not work on the items. I return back to the store on 01 / 07 / 2018 to see could I get a refund on the coupons that didn't take check out. the manager on staff tells me that it's no way that they can't give refund because it is a digitally coupon and maybe it was a glitch in the system. If I contact customer service they will send me a coupon or gift card. They gave me the number to call customer service 01/07/2018. Customer service told me to fill out this form to get investigation on what happen and I might receive a refund for the items that. I'm out of $7.02 I'm a single parent and I try to save as much I can.

I was at the Kingsley Ave location, in Orange Park FL. There was a woman stocking and a young man at the register. I am familiar with the woman who was stocking and she also has worked drive through, at a local McDonald's. She is very Moody. The young man was talking to an older gentleman. He is good with the customers. The woman gave him an attitude right in front of us and disciplined him and told him he needs to stop chatting so long. I wasn't there that long and no one was waiting in line. Also if there is a guideline with how much you chat even when it's slow, never should this be done in front of customers. She is very rude and moody, I have seen her before many times. She really embarrassed him terribly. I thanked him well when he rang me up. Please handle this.
digital coupons

My name is Tracy R. Young {[protected]@gmail.com} and I visited the Dollar General {store # 02498} on 1/6/18 to purchase household items. I received a digital coupon for $5.00 off of a purchase of $25.00 or more, for Saturday, January 6, 2018 only and I spent $54.27.
The question that I have is: How will I be compensated for this? It was not my fault that the system was down. I also feel as if the manager could have done more, i.e., placing a sign on the window or door stating that the digital coupon system was down. There was a sign on the door but it just said: "cash only, no card can be used." I look forward to hearing from you soon.

unethical behaviour by the manager justin horn
My name is Fauanaude Matthews I was hired as a sales associate in the above store # 9133 in january of 2117. After a few months of being overlooked for a promotion I was finally promoted to lead sales associate at the rate on $8.50 per hour. In november 2 I was terminated because I signed the deposit receipt on october 15 2017 and the reports said the deposit was $150.00 short. On november 2 2017 I was called into the office by the manager justin horn and he asked me to watch the footage of me at the register for october 15 2017.. He asked me to explain what I view... I explained to him that I was waiting on a customer who was using there debt card to pay for his purchases. The customer wanted cash back... I waited for the receipt to be printed... The register drawer opened and gave him his money and receipt and I told justin horn that at no time did my hands go near my pockets. He then told me that loss prevention told him to fire me. I found out from the assistant manager robert anderson, that he justin never told loss prevention anything and that the money was not missing. So now because of that I can not even draw my unemployment. Ther is a lot of things the manager asked employees to do that is not corporate policy.

As I was shopping today in my local Dollar General Store #02588 I ran across items marked 70% off and picked up two various items one was a nail polish kit and the other was a eye makeup kit the had 3 shelves all 3 shelves were clearly marked 70% off upon going to check out I had several other items as well and had put the 70% off at the end once rang up I noticed they rang for full price I told the boy at the check out but the sign said 70% off he nicely asked his manager about it and she said no that stuff was to go into the valentine department I returned one of the items the other I kept because I was getting it as a gift and had I not been in a hurry to leave I would have returned both thinking back I should have just left the whole order there I am sorry but it is pretty bad to have something saying it is marked down then turning around and saying it is not if you have all the items in a marked down section then they should be that price I will certainly be sure and let others know to beware just because Dollar General says it's marked down doesn't mean it is I certainly hope you will take action due to my complaint no one should be told something is on sale only to be told it was suppose to be moved to another section I am on disability and do not have that much money to begin with only to be told there is a 70% discount when there is none at all! I am a loyal customer to dollar general stores as I live in a small town with only one other store. We have always had a very clean and organized store up until about 2 months ago. The manager quit and the one they replaced him with is not doing a good job at all. The store is always filthy dirty. Nasty sticky floors, junked registers with items that were left on them from days prior without moving them. carts full of stuff and big metal racks down every other isle. You can't even get down the isles withought having to back your cart out of them. I have to move racks to get to items that I need. The store smells of rotted mice. The employees said that they have a mouse problem in the walls! The store has went down hill fast! I hate that our little town store is in such bad shape! The new managers name is Susan. Yesterday I stopped in the store in Sallisaw OK 1631 East Cherokee Avenue to pick up some Pepsi. I read 4 signs that said Pepsi and Mountain Dew three for $10. They was hanging above the Pepsi and the mountain dew. I was going to pick up my friend some diet Pepsi so I literally picked the sign up in my hand to read fine print to make sure they didn't say no Diet Pepsi. I read all four signs and it said Pepsi and Mountain Dew. I put two 12 packs of regular Pepsi and one 12 pack of diet Pepsi in my cart. When I was checking out she rang them up regular price. I told her that there was 4 signs back there that said three for $10. She then hollered at the other person that works there and she went back there to look. About 20 seconds later that person came up to me and said where did you see the signs? I told her they were hanging above the Pepsi and Mountain Dew. She said come back here and show me. So I walked back there and the signs were gone. She then asked me are you sure you read signs saying this and I just looked at her and said are you for real? There was one hanging above the Coke products that said three for $10 and it said Coke and Dr Pepper. She said maybe you saw this sign and I looked at her and I said no I specifically picked up the to sign see if it had diet Pepsi on it and there was four of them. She said well I'm not sure what you saw but as you can see there are no signs hanging there. I just looked at her and started to say something but then I didn't and I just turned around and walked off and went back to the cash register and paid for my items and left. This person was very dishonest and I sure hope this does not happen to anyone else. I work across the way from this store and lots of people go there from here. I have told everyone what happened so this store now has lost a lot of business to this one employee. I do not know her name but I could describe easily. Very disappointing that Dollar General would have someone like this working for them.

Ok So in Altus, Ok. this Manager Maria, constantly yells at workers, even in-front of customers! She even made Mindy Scott work off the Clock for over 400 hundred hours over the last 4 years. (making her believe her job was forfeit if she did not .) Then if another worker calls in She tells Mindy that if she dont cover that persons shift she is going to take her off The schedule.
Case in point To day jan .4, 2018 Katelyn called in Maria told mindy she was to cover that shift, Mindy said she had plans. Maria cut her work days from 4-2. (hours from 20-10). this in my oppion is wrong so I am going to maake it a point to start recording every thing i see at this dg, and posting it on youtube, and Fb and resquesting a boycott of dg until Maria is fired!
If the manager is making an employee work off of the clock you need to be able to document that this is happing much of the time, and also the manager is threatening to fire the employee if she doesn't work off of the clock, working for free. She, and anybody else that has had this happen to, also along with the evidence to a lawyer that does labor law and sue the fool out of Dollar General. This manager is just padding her numbers to look good to her bosses. What she is doing is something that we fought about in the 1860's, slavery. It's not right, do something about it.

Everytime I have been in the sparta NC store, you can not walk around the place. You can't get to the things that you need due to stuff being in the way. There is always alot of out of date things. You have to check the dates on befor you buy it. Because they have alot of the Asiles blocked with things. That is a fire risk. I am looking at calling the fire marshel for the county and have him look at this. The manangers isnt treating people like they are suppoce to. I wont go back in that store probley for a long time. I will go to Family Dollar and get what I need or Dollar Tree

I was in the Manly Iowa Dollar General around Christmas time and happen to notice that a Heavy Set Fem.ale Employee that was working was HIGH on some type of ILLEGAL DRUG. And once I noticed that she was High on some type of ILLEGAL DRUG and wasn't able to find a Manager at the store I placed a call to the local police department and was automatically placed on hold. After being on hold for Forty Five Minutes I hung up. Then the next morning I tried calling the store to talk to a Manager and Didn't get an Answer, and after trying Several times to call the store and talk to a Manager with No luck I chose to inform Corporate about an Employee of their Manly Iowa store working while HIGH on some type of ILLEGAL DRUGS so that they can handle it
caesa dog food 12 ct variety pack $8.40 bogo with on package coupon
Jan 1/2018 We went to 2 stores in North Port FL and neither had the product - both stores told us they did not recieve any with bogo coupon on package.
This feels like false advertising when you do not have any of the product in the store.
We would like for you to provide us with 2 bogo coupons as we expected to purchase the product in the store.

Oh my God. Today, January 2, 2018, I just had the worst customer service experience EVER. I live maybe three miles from Dollar General so I frequently shop there. Today I had to get a few items such as diapers, pullups, and a few other items for my household. Upon entering the store at about 1:40 pm EST, I wasn't greeted but I didn't pay no mind to that. I'm used to not ever being greeted when I enter this store. So I just continued on to get the items I needed so I could go back home quickly. After I gathered the items I wanted I then walked up to the register to purchase. There was a young lady behind the counter that was talking to her children about climbing on the counter among other things. I was wondering why she was working with two children behind the register but I didn't question her about it. I felt like that's none of my business. The young lady then proceeded to ring my items and I suddenly remembered about their digital coupons after seeing the sign at the counter. Wondering if there were any coupons for my items I proceeded to pull up the app on my phone to see. But my internet was running slow on my phone as I was searching to see if there were any available coupons and she was just about finished ringing up my items by now, and the line was starting to pile up behind me. Figuring I didn't want to hold up the line, I just put my phone back into my purse, paid for the items, and then left the store. Once I got into my car I pulled the dollar general app back up on my phone and realized I could have saved over $9.00. I'm a single mom of three children so $9.00 is a good amount to save to me. I then pulled out my receipt and went back into the store and stood back in line to talk back to the cashier again. Once I was next in line I proceeded to explain to the cashier that I was able to pull up the app now I wanted to return a few of my items and buy them back with the coupon. The cashier then told me she needed to get a manager to do it. So she left the register and her two children behind the register to get a manager. A couple minutes later she returned with another lady with light brown shoulder length hair and told me to go to a different register. I did as she asked and proceeded to explain to the manager that I just needed to return the pullups and diapers so I could buy them back with my coupon. I explained that I had just bought the items only 15 minutes ago but I couldn't get their app to work on my phone at the time of purchase. The manager then told me no she couldn't exchange the items and let me buy them back cause they don't make money off of coupons. I was confused. I then told her I would have used the coupon earlier but I didn't see it. She still refused. So then I just decided that I would just refund the entire transaction because I wasn't going to just pay full price for the items just because she wanted me to spend more money. The manager rolled her eyes and breathed a long sigh before saying "Okay, I'll return them." I then went back out to my car and got all three bags of items I had just purchased and brought them back into the store. By this time there was now another line formed at the register. So I then proceeded to wait in line again. Once I got back up to the front of the line again, the manager rudely asked for my receipt. I handed it to her still shocked that she would rather return all my items. After returning all nine of the items I purchased totaling $33.94, I then asked her to please give me back the items behind the counter I had just returned. She refused AGAIN saying that she would not allow me to buy back the items I just returned using my coupon. Even though it was a valid coupon. I was now more confused AND offended now. What manager does that? Why refuse a sale just because you're upset I want to use a coupon? Why discriminate against me just because you're upset with me for wanting to save money? Especially when I shop here all the time. Of course I could have just went throughout the store and gather the items all over again but why should I have to be so inconvenienced? Especially when all she's gonna do with the items I just returned is put them back on the shelf. The whole thing is just [censor]ed to me. I then decided to just let her keep all her items that she now refused to sell me and proceeded to just go to another store to use the same type of coupon at Family Dollar (since they also have digital app coupons) and spend the same money I could have spent at her store. I think that someone should explain to this manager that the purpose of a coupon is to entice customers to shop at your store and NOT to become disgruntled with customers who want to use them to shop at your store. Coupons HELP you make money not lose money. For example, you could have made money TODAY by letting me use my coupon. But now you've lost my money today, the money I would have spent in the future, AND a loyal customer. I also plan to tell all my family and friends to no longer shop at your store #19011 (based on my receipt) again either. All because the Manager of this store at 2690 Metropolitan Pkwy SW, Atlanta, GA 30315 is extremely rude, unapologetically ignorant, and incompetent of running this store. Goodbye Dollar General...
