rug doctor rental
On 3/6 @ 11:15 am I went to store #18700 in Branson, Mo. I rented a rug doctor for 48 hours. On my way home, I picked up some pizza for lunch, came home, ate a piece of pizza, then filled the machine with cleaning solution and proceeded to try and clean one of the 5 carpets I planned to clean, only to find that the handle on the machine was broken. At 12:19, and again at 12:24, I called the store and got no answer. I then called the 800 # for Rug Doctor at the top of the contract. I spoke with someone at 12:28, who gave me a reference number to get a refund on the broken machine. I then drove back to Dollar General. I explained what had happened to the girl behind the counter and she told me that I had signed a contract and I should have known the machine was broken before I signed it. I told her I had signed a contract for a machine that worked. She refused to give me a refund. I called the 800# and as I was talking to them, the girl at the store looked at the counter on the top of the machine and said I had used it. I told her I tried to use it, but couldn't use it because it was broken. I put her on the phone with Rug Doctor and she said she would not refund me because I HAD USED THE MACHINE. I asked her how in the world could I use it when I had just gotten it from her an hour ago. She then told me that I hadn't gotten it from her, she wasn't the one behind the counter. I then asked to speak to the manager. She said she was the assistant manager and was the one in charge. I asked her name and store number so I could report this and she started to check out the lady behind me who had put items on the counter, and stuck her finger in my face and told me I was going to have to wait...After checking the other customer out, she told me her name was Kaye's Baughman. I went to Lowe's and rented one of their BigGreen carpet cleaners. The time on that contract was 1:19. When I got home, I called Dollar General Corporate and was told the district manager would call me back within 24 hours. Today is 3/16 and I have called every day and have yet gotten a call from a manager.
inventory not stocked
I have been stopping at the store in my area for two weeks looking for a specific item and it hasn't been stocked. I asked someone about it and she said, "Do you see all of those totes behind me? They need put up and the back room looks the same. We are short handed. Sorry." There are empty shelves everywhere that are waiting on seasonal items to be stocked. The store is a mess. There is a newer store in town and I will definitely be shopping there from now on.

I bought a gift card from store number 08003 and after entering in the code it informed me to return to merchant .this isn't the first time codes are printed out on receipt.tonight I took one down and was belittled by the employee saying I don't know how to read, and was then told to figure it out and miss Christian started ringing up her next customer

I love dollar general, i'll start out by saying that, I shop in your store at least twice or more a week, mostly now by bus because my car broke down... So today i'm doing laundry, I needed laundry soap, had a rolling packed duffle bag, zipper on side/top, so i'd have to put the thing on the floor long ways to open it, neither here nor there it was packed, so nothing was being "lifted" into it anyway, with my laundry I was doing next door... So the cashier says mam u have to leave that in the front, I called out, i'm coming right back up i'm literally grabbing a bottle of soap... So I say to her as I quickly rush back to the register with the tide, you see me here all the time, i'm here almost every other day, her response was "so is everyone else, do you think you are special?" wow! Um, actually yes, I would think any returning weekly customer is special, or actually in reality as she should know being in customer service that every customer is special & appreciated... She then said she could kick me out if she wanted to as well... Wow... If I didn't live so close to here & my car was working... I don't know if I would ever want to return to that store again... That was really insulting to me... The location of the store is in clementon nj, right next to clementon park, it was a female employee who has been there for awhile now, which is why I was upset that I was treated like she never saw me before... She needs to learn people skills because she has a real attitude problem with customers... I'm in the service industry as a server so I know the customer is always right, even if they're not... Thank you, otherwise I love dollar general & I have another one in the other direction I might visit from now on to not have to deal with that employee...

Several Invoices; 15981, 14901, 14902, 14896, 14900, and 14898 totaling $8, 820.67 are still unpaid dating back through 2016.
The work was requested by IIM, Inc on behalf of Dollar General. We have been unsuccessful in receiving any payment from IIM, Inc and it appears they have shutdown. We would like to resolve this matter quickly as it has already been in excess of a year.

stocking of product
I'm writing this in hopes of a problem with stocking my brand of cigarettes can be resolved. i have been purchasing Eagle brand 100 Menthol at the Hamilton, Ga. location for the last four years, about 10 packs a week. For the last two months they haven't had them in stock. all other brands or types are being refilled weekly. Every other store has no problem, but this location is down the street from me and it has been inconvenient for me two have to travel to get this item. There seems to be no reason for this and I can;t seem to get an answer. Hope you can help.

this employee is telling people in the store that we have flattened her tires in the parking lot. the gossip was brought back to me. She has stole from me prior to this. She treats me with disrespect when I go in the store. I feel like I can't go in the store because of her behavior toward me. I always loved going into this store before and never had a complaint about anything. She acts very strange as if she was on some kind of drug. I have put up with this disrespect toward me for months now hoping it would change. Now I feel like I can no longer shop there.

Crystal Henderson employee at Dollar General in Helena AR. She work very unprofessional with a bad attitude. The only person she has this behaviour towards is my wife each time my wife go in there to shop. My wife have confined in me about Ms Henderson behaviour once before and the store manager along with Ms Henderson's coworkers are all aware of the situation. Ms. Henderson steady nic picking with my wife and I witness the behavior of Ms. Henderson today (03/12/2018) at 18:40pm. She proceed to ignore my wife as my wife tried to inform Ms Henderson of two separated checkouts on items but Ms Henderson acted if my wife weren't there as she carry on conversation with a coworker. From my understanding, Ms. Henderson behavior has been poorly rude towards my wife for several months. Myself and my wife enjoy shopping at DG but since no one is willing to handle Ms Henderson unethical behaviour in the work place then I shall shop else where. It's sad that most of the time, my wife avoid going in to you all establishment to shop In peace without feeling negative feedback from an employee. Poor store appearance when items should be on shelves instead of in boxes on aisles. Unprofessional behavior in work place. And that shouldn't be acceptable for any customer to go through what my wife is going through. Harassment is what it is! Each time, after time, after time my wife always confines in me about how Ms Henderson treats her but greets other customer's with a normal attitude. Not right, at all. We both are two loyal DG customers that may shop else where behind this problem.
accused of stealing
i went to my local dollar general store to shop for some headbands and once i went on the aisles there weren't any and as i was walking out of the store one of the workers accused me of stealing and she asked me can i give her my purse and she went through it and searched through my purse for something that wasn't even there i hadn't picked up anything in the store because i couldn't find what i was looking for

I grab two coupons from the store and the lady ask what am doing with those well I going to use them next time she said I couldn't have them it was very rude I thought coupons where free she acting like I'm was stealing something there coupons I will not be going back If I going to be treated like that.. when I was in there before and spent money and came back another time to get newspaper and ur going to act like that

Can the manager approach you for writing a bad review on the online survey. The other day they ask me if I was the one who wrote the complaint about the store . Like how do they know it was me ? And I didn't write anything bad I wrote the truth. Now I feel like everytime I go I'm treated differently. I feel like they didn't have any right to ask me that.
I live in West Virginia, and shop in nearby Cumberland, Md stores If I go to the store on Greene St in Cumberland, you would think that everytime you use coupons that the money was coming out of the employees pockets, the are rude, intimidating. I shop at Dollar General stores about 1 to 3 times a week, and it is getting so that I wish I could find a different place to shop I am sure that nothing will be done about this, but I think that the managers in this store could use more training.

Went to the local dollar general store and it was an absolute mess, you couldn't see anything on the shelves and couldn't even see what was on the shelves either. The employees were nowhere to be found and when located they had one big attitude
It's never a pleasant experience at that store
This is the dollar general on West Milton rd in Ballston Spa . The manager is rude, always complaining about her job, her boss and she smokes more cigarettes during her shift than anyone should ever consume in a day, she's never anywhere to be found other than outside the front doors smoking! She is not a happy person at all and shouldn't be managing a store that she cannot keep clean or put together

We went to dollar gerneral in ferriday louisiana to exchange some curtains for the right color we were told by employee megan that they don't exchange and could not give a refund we didn't want a refund just get the right color
. We went to the next town vadilia louisiana and exchanged it with no problem

customer service
Had an issue checking out at this store. The card machine not working for employee after several attempts she calls for another employee. We get our card to run with chip and employee cancels the transaction in the middle of authorization. Second employee comes to our side of counter takes our xarf and tries swiping it several times before the machine doesn't say swipe or insert card. When that fails she asks if we have another form of payment which we did not. She looked and said well sorry and sent us out the door. Absolutely no reason for this as there was plenty of money in our account to pay, they didn't have enough patience to let us run the card. Will probably not be back.

Employee jennifer was very rude and disrespectful ..dont meet the requirement for fast and friendly customo service.. had line backed up for atleast 15 mins...not 1 day but 2 consecitive days very very rude in front of at least 7 people in line i feel as tho she cant accomplise her job if she takes her personal problems out on customers . I feel as she should respect her job and every individule that walks thur dollar general door...just for future referance i shop their everyday and with all the people in the store u can lose business at dis place of business not to mention the rudeness if ur going to be rude and distrspectful atleast dont do it when the check out line has 15 people at use speed of service before being smart dont think its right to spend my money there and get treated with totally disrespect

I'm 18 years old, I've been a Dollar General employee for about 4-5 month's and just quit due to unrealistic expectations from a District
Manager (Nate). In the Harford County, Maryland area (Aberdeen).
First 45 minutes of my shift i'm called back to talk to him during a inventory week about him seeing me on camera standing at the register for 3 minutes waiting on customers, i told him i was instructed not to pull stuff on the shelves forward the night before, cause of them taking inventory & didn't receive instructions on what to do when i clocked in... He proceeded to falsely accuse me about not circling surveys on the receipts, while in fact i have the most surveys completed in the store & most positive feedback.
Just very unprofessional the fact he doesn't consider its my first job and i'm 18 & how'd he think i'd stand for constant criticism for everything i did. The District Manager just seemed like a very narcissistic person that didn't take any of the employees that spend 35+ hours a week on there feet, with poor pay & no benefits and expect them to bend over for him.
Other than the district manager. I had a great time working with my co workers & wish them the best of luck.

I just left the dollar general store in Selmer, Tn tonight. I was standing in line to check out(which is always a long wait because you refuse to pay for more staff) and the lady who just checked and about to walk out the door forgot to get BC powders. She then precedded to ask if they had any and the cashier let her jump back in front of us (I was 5th in line and only one cashier as always) and rang her up again. Granted I was very put out at this point and was willing to let it slide, until the cashier rang up the wrong size and had to call for a manager. He couldn't get her to answer and the rude, jump in front of everybody lady, went to get her. I had it at this point. I kindly sat my products for purchase down and stated I can go to another store and that is what I did. How rude can the employees be! The cashier should have waited to check that lady out again. I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO A DOLLAR GENERAL STORS EVER AGAIN! SERVICE IS ALWAYS HORRIBLE BECAUSE YOU ARE TO GREEDY TO HIRE EXTRA STAFF! I will be reminding everyone I know that the Freds store 2 minutes away is cleaner and friendlier. They also have an app with digitial coupons.
the store not honor item price that is on the tag
I have a serious problem when you go in a store to buy an item and it doesn't ring up correctly you show the clerk that the price is tag the clerk says the tag is expired and should not have been there! #1 that is not my fault... Then to say the tags on the wrong size item so then they tell me that I can't even get the item because that's not what ounces the tag is for. Please explain how this is my fault? Any store has not one but severalllll items sale tickets over a week old is lack of job being done not coustomer fault! And any item priced in a store on a shelf legally that's the price the person should pay and not to be made a fool out of and have everybody in the store checkout line looking at the customer like it's a customer's fault. I am highly offended and upset about this issue at your north lakeland dollar general store #06496 and I would appreciate it this is addressed I have never had a problem like this before I don't try to get things for nothing but if I go on the store and something rings up incorrectly for what ever reason it is usually honored whatever price is priced at you're not going to tell me a little $4 is going to hurt your business.

I asked if maybe she had any in the back but I honestly think this girl just didn't want to do her job and said they didn't carry a product I know for a fact they do without looking.

The GM in the Arlington SD is rude to her customer's and her vendors she needs to be fired. She dose not know how to speak nice or respectful to anyone. Treats her workers like they are dumb. They should not have to put up with it. I will never shop there again. it sucks because i was happy to have the new store in are town. very rude and something should be done about it.
