Papa John's terrible experience

On 7/19/08 we ordered pizza online at Papa John's website. The order total was $40.12. I also have an email from Papa John's stating the order total and location of pick-up. Upon arriving for pick-up, my husband was advised that the total was $59 plus change. When my husband questioned why the order total changed, he was told that's what the total is because we had ordered online. My husband advised the employee that he has an email with the proper cost ($40.12) and a local advertisement that also states the same items and pricing info which matched the same items and pricing online. The employee began yelling when my husband said that he wants the price as ordered and my husband asked the rude Papa John's employee for his credit card back. The employee then yelled at him again stating "Thanks, for wasting my time." There were several exchanges of words. My husband left. I called the store owner who said that online prices are from corporate and their system does not accept them. Our problem is, they advertise the prices which were the same on the order, their store window advertises the prices, and their online website also advertises the prices, and even processes orders for the Orland Park location. But whne you arrive to pick up your order, they tell you a different total! They cannot meet the advertised price according to their employees, they say online ordering is a corporate thing. We have the email and all of the information indicating what we were supposed to pay. The rude employee certainly had no reason to yell or to act as though they don't care. It certainly was a horrible and unnecessary experience. They should not be able to conduct business this way.

Since April, Papa John's pizza has cut the ingredients on each pizza by over 50%. Cost cutting measure means that customers often receive bare pizzas with sparse ingredients.

Papa John's what a horrible company

I worked for Papa Johns for a long time and you guys should know some of the terrible things that goes on there. All of the complaints I've looked at here are problems that occur all the time and nothing ever gets done about them. Also it has to be the nastiest dirty cheating companyI've ever worked for or even heard of.
No one ever washes their hands, they use expired food well well after its gone bad. The manager I worked for couldn't have had more than a 6th grade education. I am finding it hard to even fit what I want to say into this.
I heard of kids peeing into the sauce. Drug use is very frequent. I've seen the manager give people food poisoning, spit on food, pick up old food from the floor and use it. Constantly uses the bathroom and tells everyone about what she was doing in the bathroom and not ever washing her hands not once.
They screw there employees out of every penny they can, they wont give you any support as in no workers comp, no unemployement insurance, no leave, anything that happens no matter what the circumstance is coming out of your pocket.
If someone gets injured or hurt or in an car accident while delivering they require you to call a special hotline (before calling a doctor or police) So they have a heads up on if they are liable for anything. I actually got yelled at for calling an ambulace before there lawyer hotline. Unbelievable.

What I'm saying is I WOULD NOT EAT THERE EVER. I have years of resturant experience and some places get a bad reputation for no reason. But they deserve one. It caused me a lot mental stress serving that crap to people and charging them like 32$ for 2 pizzas. But they smiled and kept coming back. so whatever.

I was a Manager at a Papa Johns Pizza and some of this is true. They do redate expired product, they do everything in their power to screw their employees, and they make their managers keep the stores under staffed to save money which is why you have the long delivery times.

Papa John's rude delivery driver

I ordered a pizza for my children. The Pizza took a while but I am usually very forgiving. When the pizza got there it was a little cold, but again this was for my kids and they are not picky. We have a microwave. I have a few signs on the door that are meant to discourage religious solicitation.

I served my country as a Navy Sailor and I have the same rights that anyone has. My opinion is as valid as anyones. The driver said that he did not want to deliver to me due to my opinions. He turned his back on me after making some rude remarks in front of my children. He certainly has a right to his opinion but this is my home. He will not have to deliver to me anymore. At first I was resolute about being cool about this. I have probably stepped over the line with my opinion before. Then I thought about it. I have had enough abuse. I was taught to honor differences but I think that that door has to open both ways. This "Justin" was just plain rude and nasty.

Please consider purchasing pizza from places with good service records and I am a big fan of small business owners.

Papa John's charge delivery on makeup-pizza

Papa johns made a mistake with my order, then compounded this with telling me all sorts of falsehoods, stuff like 'I just asked the regional manager, who happens to be in the back, and no you cannot talk to him' We will refund your credit card in 2 weeks! etc etc. (NOTE NEVER PAY BY CREDIT CARD)

I ended up calling the real regional manager (John Perez?) and stated my experience. He asked 'how can I make this right' and I said #1 educate your people #2 have a conveint comment line #3 give me 1 free pizza.

John sent me 4 or 5 coupons for complientary pizza. He even crossed out the 1 topping and wrote 3 toppings in it's place to match my original screwed up order.

I used 3. One time the pizza guy forgot to collect one so I just threw it away. I used one today and they slapped a delivery charge on there.

I paid the delivery charge in pennies, and tipped the driver $2.00 (not his fault)

you lost a customer for life Papa Johns

Agreed...also...$2 is a ### tip these days...it was an ok tip back in 2000 when gas was $1 a gallon, but with the increase of gas, $2 is considered a cheap tip...I suggest you go to tipthepizzaguy.com and get educated...just saying

The delivery charge was most likely a mistake by a new employee. It is not Papa Johns policy to charge delivery for a remake! It does require a bit of knowledge to remove the delivery charge though, or the employee might have just missed it. Since the price is always quoted at the end of the order, that is when you should have corrected them.

Papa John's horrible customer service

I ordered a pizza over an hour ago from Papa Johns in Burtonsville, MD, which according to their online locater is 3 miles from my house. After waiting an hour I called to inquire about my pizza. The rep that answered the phone had no idea how to find my address (only 3 miles). The rep asked me to explain the directions to the driver. When the driver came on the phone, he could barely speak English, and obviously did not understand I word of what I was saying. The was such a frustrating experience that I will never order from Papa Johns again.

This is the exact same thing I'm going through. I started working there December 10th and was never properly trained. They only let me work 2 hours every 4-5 days. The general manager threatened to let me go if I didn't catch on. He also admitted he was too lazy to train me himself. He told one of the managers straight up that he didn't like me, and when he was chewing me out for not catching on fast enough, he praised another employee saying how much he blew him away by catching on the ordering system the first day he started. That place is so unprofessional. It's just not worth it to work there.

Papa John's customer service

I just tried for the last 15minutes to order a pizza. I looked on line for a store that sold pizza after 12:30am. From what I read on the website Papa Johns delivers 24 hours. I called the number and the phone was answered and when I told them I wanted a pizza I was hung up on three times. I called the 4th time and was told that delivery was closed. So I called another number at 12:55am and from the website I was told that it closed at 1am. The phone was answered and delivery was over. I told the gentleman, who was not acting like one, that they close at 1am, and he still would not take my order. PAPA JOHNS SUX and I will never try and order from them again.

Yes you call 5 minutes before closing...by the time the pizza is made and out of the oven...it is now 5 minutes after closing...then the delivery driver has to deliver to you, which can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 20 minutes depending on where you live...and that's assuming he only has one delivery to do...so by the time he gets back to the store it is 30 minutes past closing...and he has yet to do any of his closing duties...hello...at the end of a work day...don't you want to go home as soon as possible?

Papa John's pizza dough uncooked

We just had two pizza delivered to our home for my grandchildren, my son and my self 57 year old Grandmother. The dough on the crust was uncooked when you took a bite it was like eating raw dough. The outer layer was a little toasted but inside was raw. I called the Shively/PRP location where we ordered and the manager Laurie said that there was nothing she could do about our terrible pizza order. She said we could bring it back and she could give us two new pizzas but I have no way of going since I have 3 grandchildren in my home and no vehicle at the present time. I told her I had already thrown the pizza in the trash since they were raw. I cooked frozen pizza's for the boy's myself. So I wasted around $ 20.00 which in this day and time is a lot of money. I have ordered from Papa John's for years but I will not do so again unless I am refunded my money or comensated in someway, I work hard for my money and I do not appreciate being left holding two raw pizzas . They are supposed to be very reputable but I am very disappointed with this order and the way I was talked to. This was a treat for my Grandsons and I am very dissatisfied to say the least. Thank you for your time. Charlotte Shumate 7709 Conifer Drive Louisville, KY [protected]

1st off there is no Shively/PRP location there is a Shively store and a PRP store they are not the same. 2nd you have to look at it from a business POV Pizza stores get ppl making stuff up ALL the time trying to get free food so they can't just take your word for it. Other wise all you would have to do is order pizza eat it call back act like it was crap and get more pizza free. If you could do that everyone would. It is your own fault for putting it in the trash if you want a remake on a pizza you have to give the old one back.

Papa John's now has an option when ordering pizza called "Well Done" which is absolutely crazy. My gransdon hates Papa John's, he says the dough is always raw. So way to go PJ corporate management.

How would you like your pizza, undercooked or well done. LOL!

Last weekend I ordered one well done thinking that would soleve the raw dough issue but what I got was a burnt pizza. I wouldn't care if they closed shop tomorrow.

Your grandson is right. I keep ordering from them cause i love everything else...but have noticed time after time ...raw dough. EVEN AFTER REQUESTING WELL DONE...STILL RAW IN MIDDLE. And its every loaction ive called. Only time its edible is if you get plain cheese or 1 topping. Its like the more toppings...the less the dough underneath cooks. It gotta be there ovens not cerculating heat evenly or something. Or maby they cook it too fast. But its definitely a normal thing with them that most people dont notice when hungry.

Papa John's rude manager

When I came in the manager was being very rude to another customer on the phone. I was the only other customer in there and I was being ignored. The manager was on the phone and another employee was just standing behind him.(doing nothing) He finally asked me what I wanted and I told him that I was picking up an order. I asked him if a drink came with it as he rudely said, "well did you order it?" My wife had made the order, so I wasn't sure. I asked for a garlic sauce and had to pay an extra 80cents. I paid, got my two liter, and left. Realizing, when I got home that he forgot to give me the sauce. I will travel twice as far to get papa johns or just get pizza hut from now on!

Papa Johns has gotten so bad at the Norcross, Georgia facility even the Manager Nathan Slagel is selling crack on the job to employees and customers. This is UNREAL...and they provide pizza's to local schools and churches makes you wonder why the business is doing so well - LOL

Papa John's awful place

On Wednesday June 13, 2007 @ 10:13pm I placed an order by phone for the first time to papa johns pizza in fall river MA. After viewing from the web site what I and my 15month old were going eat for a late dinner I choose a pizza pie and an order of chicken tenders. How a peperochini ended up in my order in the box and to my house is what I'd like to know. My toddler son opened the box after it being delivered and had taken the HOT pepper out of a pizza box where to my knowledge was a large PLAIN pizza and eaten a piece of this nice sized pepper. Now crying from a Hot pepper most adults wont even consume as well as myself my 1yr old son is in tears and looks to be in pain! Why was that there and its papa johns fault my son feels this harsh pain...

I cant believe the unprofessionalism at this store. A driver walked past me and I could clearly smell marijuana coming from him. the man behind the area where the oven is located was giving me very dirty looks and then started yelling at the workers making my order with profanity I believe, although I couldn't really hear because there was music playing a variety of loud music filled with vulgar lyrics in rap, later changed to screaming I'm not sure what. I will never be customer again!

Papa John's is new to my area and I ordered a plain cheese pizza. I was surprised to open the box to the smell of peppers to find a pepper in the box. The whole pizza smelled and tasted like peppers and my pizza was ruined. I cannot eat peppers and did not want a pepper in the box. What if someone is allergic to peppers? They should at least ask if you want one in the box - I ordered by phone so they certainly could have asked. My first and last experience with Papa John's. Very disappointing when all I wanted was a PLAIN cheese pizza- not everyone likes or can eat peppers and they should ask before including them!

I have been ordering Papa John's pizza for about ten years, and I would complain if the peperoncini (correct spelling) and garlic dipping sauce WASN'T in the box. Your errors in this situation were as follows:
1. Not understanding that the peperoncini is one of the trademarks of Papa John's.
2. Letting a 15-month old open a fresh pizza box.
3. Incorrectly spelling peperoncini.

I bet when you called a customer service number, they laughed in your face and called you a bad parent. ###, every pizza comes with the garlic dipping sauce and a pepper.

Maybe you should spend less time recalling the exact date and time of your pizza order two years ago and spend more time looking after your kid. Of course, who am i to talk? My 2 yr old child drives me to and from work. Its just less stress on me, i dont have to deal with other drivers and i know my child isnt reaching his little fingers into scalding hot pizza boxes.

Papa John's awful place

I am a college student and I work, I may not live in the best neighborhood for their delivery, but I do own my home and I tip my drivers. I order from Papa John's because they are the only restaurant that delivers in our neighborhood. I order from them at least twice a week.

I have been sent burnt pizza's every other time I order on night shift. I call to complain and I have been disrespected and yelled at by the night shift manager and told that I should not order from them if they mess up my food.

I spoke with a night shift manager Lindsey and she was nice, I was told I would receive a credit for the burnt pizza, the next day I called to order my pizza on credit, I was told they do not have them, instead they have coupons mailed to houses. Two weeks later, I still had not received my coupons, I called back and spoke to a night shift manager, I was told to call a manager Ross, the designer of the coupon system Monday morning.

I was also told that, 'You are not the only person to complain, it seems like one one ever gets their coupons, I am not sure why they take the complaint, and promise to mail them but never send the coupons.'

I called, he was very rude, I was not allowed to finish a sentence, I was told he is the General manager and that he will not take advice from his customers, I was given the long distance corp. number, I left a message for another manager and again it has been another two weeks and I have not gotten a response OR my coupons, yet they have kept my money.

I have placed them on the ban list and I refuse to order from them again. I was charged for burnt pizza's even after I was told that the night manager Tyrone would not charge my account. According to him, if my pizza's are burnt then every one else's are too so he doesn't know what to tell me other than they are not coming back to get them.

This company is running a crooked business toward their customers. One pizza will be good and the other will be burnt, either way they say the product is correct. This behavior can not be acceptable. If there are actions that can be taken, please let me know, if there are others who have the same problem, lets get a class action suit going. This is not a joke, I work hard for my money and if I buy food for the dumpster there is a big problem.

Normally everything at papa johns is amazing, I love eating there, but this last pizza I ordered wasn’t very good, I ordered a chicken, bacon ranch pizza. We definitely couldn’t taste the ranch and on certain parts of the pizza there wasn’t anything but the bread. Honestly it shocked me, not use to that from papa johns.

06/03/19- Purchased 5 pizzas. Two of them came with a side of hair. When I contacted the district manager this morning, she was the rudest person I have had the joy to talk to. She was very unpleasant and made it sound as if it was my fault for the nastiness I endured . Not only was the pizza gross but so was her additude towards the situation.

I've pretty much given up on papa John's.. I'm not one to complain about the poor food quality, disrespectful phone operators, or the presentation of the food I've received in the past.. but today was the last straw! its a Wednesday night at 8 p.m on highway 280 going toward Chelsea right by Hugh Daniel.. I'm driving along and some BONEHEAD comes from the far right lane and STOPS dead, right on front of me with his blinker on to get over! the speed limit is 55 and for someone to drive stupid and careless, that's them.. but when you put mine and others safety and in danger, you need to reevaluate your career choices! I almost hit this idiot due to his lack of common sense.. I laid on my horn and he just sat there waiting for a car to let him over.. in all reality all he had to do was go under the light and make a u-turn.. ALL IN ALL, papa John's hasn't lost only 1 customer, but everyone I know will definitely hear all of the unsatisfactory experiences I've had with P.J's!

Papa John's not honoring customer satisfaction

When placing order we ordered MILD wings - when the order was delivered they gave us HOT wings. When we called to let them know that they delivered hot wings and not the mild wings, we were then told they do not have mild wings. They said they could not refund the money, but did not offer to send something else or offer a discount on the next order. I then asked for the store managaer (since the asst. manager could not assist me) the store manager refused to speak with me and they directed me to the area manager, and she (Sue) is not returning my call. I have asked her to call twice in the past 24 hours.

They advertise customer satisfaction - what does that mean? If you are not satified they do nothing to make things correct?

Papa John's bad customer service

I called to order a pizza and the person that answered the phone and asked me what I wanted was VERY rude! After continuing to talk to him, I told him he didn't need to be so rude. He just laughed. He gave me the delivery price and I told him we were going to pick it up because it was quicker. He then smarted off the price to me and hung up on me. I went to pick up my pizza and said I wanted to talk to the manager. The girl told him and then her walked away. I knew from his voice that the manager was the one I had spoken to on the phone. He came back later and I told the girl again that I want talk to the manager. He replied "I'll be there in a minute!"

He finaly came and I told him about what had happened (knowing it was him that I spoke to). I told him that he had no right to speak to me like that. He said that he would find out who it was (knowing full well it was himself.) There was no one else there except for 3 very young teens. He didnt say he was sorry or anything else. In the mean time, another man came in and was telling my husband that his wife told him how rude he was. She is also going to make a complaint.

We get a pizza every Friday night and the last 3 Fridays we went to this papa johns location.I assure you that this manager should not be treating anyone like this and to find out he is the manager is shocking. I will not be ordering any pizzas from papa johns again. Even though I love those pizzas, It's not worth the rudeness!

I called in to order a pizza, some bread sticks and a 2 Liter Coke and asked if carry out was still open. It wasn't and my mom was already there and waiting. So I simply asked them if they could "deliver" the pizza to my mom who would pay them a gracious tip. But as soon as I started to ask, he immediately cut me off, saying that they can not deliver to cars due to a safety risk. Except he said it with such bitterness that . I was going to ask for delivery to my house, but the [censored] manager hung up on me.

I have tried over and over again to give them the chance oh with their 'fresh' ingredients haha my local pizza shop uses actual CHEESE and fresh ingredients not this frozen dehydrated meat and late cheese yuck! I will never order from JUNIOR JOHN again save my health who knows what they really put in it but the cheese does NOT taste like cheese just some oily nastyspoil on my what they call pizza
Good advice: order from your local pizza bakery it's worth the extra $3

Papa John's bad service

So my boyfriend and I ordered pizza at about 1:00 in the afternoon. The pizza came quickly and it was hot, however, the driver as he was leaving slammed right into my car! The only reason I knew about this was because my neighbor was outside and saw it happen! When the driver saw her he stopped, got out of the car and said, "no hit, no hit." When she went over to inspect the damage there was a huge dent and scratch in my car. So she knocked on the door and I proceeded to call the police. We called papa johns to ask them to send the driver back. 15 mins later he still did not return so the police decided to stop by the store. After 30 mins my boyfriend called again, explained what happened and the guy on the phone was rude and said the guy was on his way. 45 mins later my boyfriend called again and they actually hung up on him! So not only did their delivery driver slam into my car and drive away, but now the store was being rude and hung up on us! I mean this is really unbelievable. I filed a complaint online and I have still not heard back from them. My next step is to call corporate, hopefully they will do something about this because word of mouth advertising is what makes and breaks a business. As far as I am concerned I will NEVER EVER order pizza from papa johns AGAIN!

I ordered pizza two-three days ago during the day online and I paid $10 by papa card and the rest I was to pay in cash. The guy didn't have to call me, he came straight to my door and he confirmed how much I had to pay and I gave him that exact change he said I was to pay. Now the two days later (which was last night) I ordered again and my order was about $20.

I pay half of that with my papa card and I was to pay the rest in cash as I did the other order three days ago. just to clarify This person who is delivering my order this time is a different person. He calls me asking directions from the papa Johns restaurant. I have no idea how to get from there to my house so I told him what road I lived off of and he kept complaining that he didn't know where I lived. So he finally gets comes into my circle where my condo was and I'm standing outside where the street and the sidewalk meet and he rides right pass me and stops at another condo. He gets out the car and he starts to walk towards someone elses door and I yell across the way "Hey is that my pizza!" and he tells me that he thought that my door was over there. Then when he comes up to me he tells me the price that I needed to pay was $20 and some change. I tell him that that is a mistake and that I paid $10 of that online he doesn't believe me but he take the money anyway and he gives me my order. I go in the house thinking everything was over so I ate my pizza and watched a movie. About 10-15 minutes later the delivery driver calls my phone twice and I Finally pick up and he asks me if I was the woman who order the pizza on some street other than mines and I tell him no. We hang up. He calls me back 5 minutes later about three times and when I don't answer he comes back to my neighborhood and he "finds" my door. He knocks, and keeps knocking, and keeps knocking. I open the door and he says that his boss is on the phone complaining about me paying only $10 and not $20 and he gives me the phone. I try to explain to this manager guy that I paid with a gift card and cash. I go upstairs and grab the receipt that I got offline and show it to the driver. He looks at it but doesn't really "look" at it. The delivery guy is at my door talking extra extra loud that my neighbors come outside and wakes up my mother who is sleeping on the third floor with bedroom door closed, now shes upset. The guy finally realizes that he told his boss the wrong address and walks away while saying he apologizes. This guy needs to be fired for putting me through all off this mess.

An update... So the driver's insurance company denied the claim because he is only insured personally not for work. I still have not recieved a call from corporate, two weeks later. I went up to the store and the General Manager told me that he didn't care. He said they only require the drivers have insurance, they don't check to make sure they are properly insured! So now I am preparing to sue the driver and Papa John's. And still no word from corporate... I will NEVER EVER order pizza from this irresponsible, unprofessional company ever again.

Papa John's misleading coupons

Recently my husband tried to purchase a pizza at Papa Johns with a coupon.

No where on the coupon could you determine for sure when the off expired. It only said a limited time in very, very small print. In some places it said 30 days and the date was 5/30/08 on some.

And one other complaint is why can they not cook the dough done all the way through?

We should be grateful for customers! It is a treat for us to buy "take out" these days.

We need to wake up and visit the real world.

I am with sick of whiners. I manage for Papa John's. I am not a perfect manager, but I do try my best. If you do not fill in the total amount and zero out the tip drivers can add an amount in. It's there way of getting you back. And for a fact. Drivers get paid $4.00 and hour while they delivery for Papa John's and they get poorly compensated for gas.

You should have gotten your money back for the foragery and the driver should have been fired.

But please tip.

There's no reason not to tip the drivers! Not saying you didn't but if not you should be charged gratuity! Drivers don't make min. wage and usually use their own vehicles and gas. If you can't tip at least 15% go pick up the order yourself!

That same exact thing happed to my boyfriend. He checked his bank statement and seen the same thing. He talked to the manager and explained the situation to him and told him that he was going to take this matter further. The boss was resisitant intially but with my boyfriend being very persistent about the issue. He in the end, ended up giving my BF the money. We went up there and the boss gave him the money. It was a battle I am not going to ly. It was his money that he was entitled to and their error. They should'nt do customers like that and when they see that there is an error they need not try to deny there customer s because that jeopordizes the business. Word of the mouth can either hurt a business or do a business good. Point blank. With that said if it wasn't for the customers there would be no business. So professionalism and accountability shold always be exercised. My heart goes out to you it never feels right to be treated unfairly. It may be 5.00 but it's the principal of the whole thing. Hope you get the situation resolved. Good Luck. Bye!

Papa John's as bad as it gets!

On 01/19/08 I placed an order with my local Papa John's pizza to deliver one large 3 topping pizza, one 2 liter Sprite and one cinnamon pie. Well, when my order came in (well within the time limit) I took my items, paid the driver and proceeded to fill my empty belly with this pizza I had been craving. Well, when the the meal was over, I could feel my mouth watering in anticipation of this cinnamon pie. Truth be known I wanted the cinnamon pie more than the pizza but my friend wouldn't let me eat the sweets before the meal, so I waited. Anyway, I opened the box that my cinnamon pie was supposed to be in only to find cheese sticks?! I recognized that an error had occurred, heck they happen to everybody, so I called the store and spoke to the mgr. asking that he send out the correct pie and I would gladly give back the unwanted cheese sticks. This is where things started to coast down hill. The mgr. told me that it would be 2 hours before he could get the driver back to me to get my correct order to me because he had only one driver on duty. I was not happy but told him, "okay". Apparently he told me this 2 hour wait thingy to discourage my request because once I accepted he immediately said that he would rather not send his driver back to me keep and he would prefer that I keep the bad order and next time I called in he would give me cinnamon pie for free, as long as I called within 14 days, because he would post the information for 14 days. I was not happy, not in the slightest but I was a good egg and agreed. 01/24/08 I placed an order for a small 3 topping pizza and requested my owed cinnamon pie. Now things just go completely down hill. The young lady who answered the phone was friendly but it was obvious that she was without a clue. She had no idea about the bad order from 01/19/08, the mgr, never posted a thing about it and after having me explain the whole story to her 3 different times over a 10 minute period, she then put me on hold and eventually passed me to her night mgr. This guy (Javier Jasoy-not sure if this was his real name because he purposefully mumbled his name when I asked 3 different times, even when I asked him to spell it) now asked me to repeat the same story yet again and then he tried to explain to me that nothing was posted and they really didn't know if I was telling the truth. Now I hit the roof, 15 minutes on the phone trying to place an order for food that they OWED ME, that I paid for and this jackel is huffing at me like I'm some sort of problem child when in truth I am a paying customer who has put more than my share of money into Papa Johns pocket over the last 15 years. I am not happy by this mishandling, irresponsible and horribly nonbusiness like treatment and behavior. How can such a "franchise" exist where the business essentially steals from it's customers. I don't know how else it can be viewed since they took my money for a product they refused to then provide. This was not my problem, I did not cause it and to be treated to the 3rd degree by some ineffectual, under educated "manager" is more than I am willing to allow. I want my money back for my cinnamon pie and want to have nothing further to do with this location if not this company. If the company is willing to allow the dregs of the business community represent them, then they will lose loyal customers such as myself no a daily basis. I did ask for the name of the Saturday (01/19/08) mgr., who started all of this and Javier, mumbled his name each of the 5 times I asked for it and even when I asked him to spell it he slurred his words and mumbled his response. I say slurred and mumbled but in truth he was using his broken english as a means of avoiding my direct questions but aside from those questions about names, he spoke clearly with everything else?!?! The name that I was able to get out of him for the 01/19/08 mgr. was Rates Hanna. Rates Hanna?!?! This is a fake name if I ever saw one and this is supposed to be a business where they handle food that goes into your body and they won't even tell you the name of the mgr. responsible?! In the end I canceled my order and opted to send a written complaint instead. With everything that had transpired and the obvious shadiness of the location I decided it would be better for me to be hungry for the night than to eat anything they prepared. This location at 1111 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY 11238 @ ph# 718/399-7272 is the worst franchise out there and the parent company needs to be informed immediately of their complete lack of customer service skills.

Papa John's Terrible experience!

I started working at papa johns in chelmsford mass on oct 25 2007 with 30 hrs a week, i was hired for full time and for the open shift.and i have a copy of my status sheet that proves it. I absolutely loved working there and would still go back. There was 2 other girl and myself we all had reasonable hours then when they finally quit all the suddenly ended up with 3-7 hours a week (that doesn't seem to be full time huh?). Then i was the only person able to work the front i was told...

Well jan 4 2007 on friday it was my first night working with a new manager... from another store... it was the worst night i ever had at papa johns. 8 people on hold people in the store waiting and complaining while the manager was in the office on the phone with customers and customer service because our online orders weren't being received to our store... while i was the only person in the front and one pizza maker... i had to shut down the computer because the manager was messing with the internet wires and what not... i had no register i could take orders but couldn't take cash credit or anything so basically no one could pay because he was to busy in the back to assign me a till... when he was done him and a customer started arguing and meanwhile the whole store was a disaster still people waiting in the store and on the phone... when everything calmed done i clocked out at 7:58pm My shift was 5-8pm! I called sunday to find out what time i was working and the assistant manager told me that chris the new manager said i walked out and quit friday... (i never did). And went to go visit the assistant manager barry and he told me that that the new manager hired 2 new girls and might be hiring his stepdaughter... BUT i was told There weren't enough hours for me but when i supposedly quit it just so happens that there was enough hours for 3 more people when only 2 days ago there was only 3 for me? This doesn't sound too fair to me!

I've ordered Papa John's pizzas exclusively for the past 10 years or so. I usually order double mushrooms. The last two have been way substandard. They're not doubling the mushrooms and the other toppings are a lot skimpier than they used to be. One pizza must have been what someone else ordered and not picked up because it was horrible with hardly any toppings and scanty cheese. I'm wondering if management has told the franchises to start putting less on their pizzas. I'm thinking I'll be ordering from some other place now. There are scads of pizza places around. Better ingredients, better tasting, better pizza is no longer a valid slogan.

On 6/12/08 at 6:57 p.m. call in for a pizza to be delivery and I told Papajohns customer rep. that I have a coupon buy one large pizza and get the one other free. When the pizza arrive the driver: Sean Hollinshead told me the amount which was $26.63 I gave him $30.63 and wanted my change back. He said that he didn't have any change so he left. Next I notice that Papajohns still charge me for both pizza. I call back to Papajohns and confirm about my coupon buy one large pizza get one free, The rep. told me that it was just for online orders only. So I re-read my coupon and it didn't say anything about online. If I wanted to see the full menu and more great offers online at papajohns.com. I call back up there to papajohns an read to them about my coupon, the manger (Jarod Williams) got on the line with me and was very unhappy because it was on their behave on the mistake they made. So I ask for the corp.# and the manger refuse too give the number or wanted to credit back the money to me. Which I didnt wanted to pay for both pizza and I would like my money back, my service was not great or nice. I'm very disappointed of the serivce with Papajohns Pizza and I hope one else go through what I went through. I would like to be a happy customer again and not feel cheated out of my money.

Papa John's drivers not insured

I recently filed an employee application out at a Papa Johns Pizza in Memphis TN. to deliver pizza. They asked for proof of insurance and I provided it for them. Problem is: They do not tell prospective drivers that they're (The Drivers) not covered by non commercial personal car insurance if an accident occurs during a delivery. In fact the manager told me I should not have mentioned where I would be working to my insurer and as well told me that he/she is encouraged not to tell applicants that personal car insurance will not cover the drivers if they are involved in an accident. Quite deceptive of them to do this. Maybe it should have been obvious to me but they certainly make a point of not mentioning it to new delivery drivers. Why even ask for proof of insurance if it is not worth a dime to delivery drivers? Again a deceptive move on Papa Johns Pizza. I will never again order a pizza and have it delivered from them being that I would feel like I am encouraging this unsavoury business practice.

Papa Johns Corp do not send any letters about taking out anything from their paycheck. This is a very unfair and bias decision without notifications whatsoever. Why work when they can take anything away from you from your paycheck?

Papa Johns was offering 23 cent pizzas on 4/8/08.
After trying for well over an hour calling my local Papa Johns and it being busy, I tried to order online for myself, my daughter for her home and a neighbor- they were not accepting online orders. I decided to drive and place my order in person. The line was a three hour wait per a Papa Johns spokesman and there was still no guarantees you would get a pizza. He told the crowd of several hundred that they had shut off the telephones and they were doing their best with both of their ovens going.
Not a good PR stunt.

There are lots of other pizza places in town. They will probably lose a lot of business with this stunt.

My time is valuable as most others and that is why telephone and online ordering has been appreciated by consumers.
