HDFC Bank excess charges of hdfc credit card

I, VIJAY ARTHER working at Taj Residency, Lucknow as a HR Supervisor from 01st Feb. 2007, I am holding a credit Card No. [protected] which I have opened in the last year i.e. 2006. Just to brief about my problem which I am facing currently with the HDFC Credit Card division. I did my shopping from Big Baazar in Lucknow of Rs. 1330/= (One Thousand Three Hundred Thirty Only) and I have received a bill of Rs. 1330/- with some extra charges (late fees charges) which I have made a cheque of Rs. 1330/- the actual amount which I did a shopping and the extra amount payment which they have charged me I have not paid any amount for that I wrote an application dated 28.06.2006 (Enclosed as an attachment) to the Manager – HDFC Bank (Credit Card Division) Hazratganj Branch, Lucknow for waving off my late payment charges.

Sir, I have given my correspondence address as well as my office address with my personal mobile no. and office phone no. Later on I have not received any intimation from the HDFC Bank for the payment of my late fees charges till date. During that time I have changed my correspondence address which I was unable to intimate to the HDFC Credit Card division. But I was continuously getting in touch with my previous correspondence address that I got to know that there was no letter received by them the persons who are living there currently. Sir, please let me know if the person have changed his/her correspondence address that Bank would not be responsible for to contact me to my office address and I have not received any phone calls instead of giving my personal contact no which is currently in working condition and my office contact no also.

I was surprised when I checked my account balance from the Bank it was showing Rs. 2790/= but I was unable to withdraw my balance amount from the ATM. On checking with the HDFC bank I got to know that due to unpaid payment of credit card. And when I have contacted Credit Card division I got to know that I need to pay of Rs. 4986.00 (Four Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty Six rupees only) which I am not in condition to pay this much of amount. I have accepted that I have to check back with the HDFC but they can also contact me to my alternate office address and call me on my mobile no. but I have received any call or any intimation to my office address. And after 1 year when the charges is Rs. 4986.00 then they have ceased my bank account.

It really troubling me a lot and I am really very disappointed. I hope HDFC will take an appropriate action as I am not ready to pay any interest. I Hope HDFC will understand my Situation...

"WITHIN 7 WORKING DAY"
I was looking for Credit Cards once, and by chance I got a call from hdfc that they are issuing credit cards "within 7 working days". So I said yes to them and they told me to submit some documents and my response to them is once again yes.
In first week,
I was searching in internet for any complaints are posted against them and I found a lot in this forum. But I still make some courage and decided to submit the documents they asked for, and I got a call from Customer Care(cc) informing me that a person from hdfc came to my office for collecting the docs so I submitted all the documents to that person and asked him that when I will be getting my card, he told me "within 7 working days".
After that I got call from Cc asking me that did I submitted the documents. After this confirmation I once again asked the customer care executive, when I will be getting my card. She told me "within 7 working days".
Second week
Then I had verification in my home and in my office. They used to call my official IP phone many times asking for verification and asking me the same question many times(like my name, my address).
Third Week
I called the CC and asked them about my credit card status. They told me that they send me a letter regarding submitting my office address in any of their hdfc branch. I told them that I didn't received any thing like that. But out of no way, I went to hdfc branch and drop my office address in their drop zone box. This time, they provide me with some extra info i.e. Ref no:10072919331440s1 for future contact.
Fourth Week
No response yet.
Then same process, I called the CC, they told me my status is on hold as they didn't received my letter with office address. I told them that I dropped it in their hdfc branch. But they asked me to do it once again. I was really p***** off by this and told them that I didn't need such cards.
Fifth Week
I got a call from the cc executive that they will be sending some person to get my signature on some forms, and he assured this is last process after which I will be getting the card "within 7 working days". But I was out of office on those days and I asked them to send him next week, they said ok.
Sixth Week
After coming back from vacation, I called them and "to my surprise" and I got the same response that my application status is on hold and I need to submit some document in their branch.
I didn't talk this time instead I hang up the phone.
Seventh Week
After one week, I got a call from an hdfc person as he was waiting in our office reception for getting signature in some forms and I signed it and asked him the same question that I used to. When I will be getting my card? and the same response "within 7 working days".

Its been two more week had gone and not yet received any response
I think we all need to understand what is the actually meaning of "within 7 working days."
According to my assumption may be they are working one day in a week which can be better interpreted like "within 7 weeks" or "within 7 months" instead of mention working days.

Sir, HDFC credit card customer care

I was approached by your DSA M/s. Rohini Finance Solution, mumbai.

Ms. Priya (Team manager) approached me for gold card against my gold city card (limit is 1, 80, 000 ). lifetime free no charges. I was frequenty called by them. Finally i submitted all the necessary latest documents to Mr. Pramod hegishte (executive on 5.7.08) verification done.

Today i got a call from a gentlemen that it was revoked, i need to submit fresh credit card statement.

My application no. is [protected].

Tel. no. called by the person is [protected], 48

Now i should know the status. why reverted. it is a nucence of frequent calls disturbing us.

asking for fresh documents.

Now at least the co. should provide to DSA & DSP I-cards to the executive and visiting card. so that we can contact them.

I beleive that these jobs are done only for target purpose same leads given or passed to other credit card co.

Dear Sir,

I m ausing this card since last year. Credit limit is only 13000/- . I have givin too many request to in crease the crdit limit with my salary slip as an proff but not increased yet. My use is near abt 15000/- per month. After taking the proof they didnt increase limit but never told me that why not increasing the limit. I was thinking that after taking the proof limit has increased. Thats why in next swap they put some over limit charges. After that i had discussion then Cust Care Exec told me to pay 900/- in cash and 9900/- by cheque so that all dispute can be resolved.

I did the same even though i paid 100/- more. But when i was in abrod in next month then again some intrest charges, service tax charges, over limit changes etc were there. I called from there but Caust Care Exe told me that you have to pay. I denied to pay so i want to know why this hassasment of customer is going on. that amount in conineously incresing and today i have cancelled the card as well. But i dont want to pay those extra charges.

I have already paid the amount by which i have done the shopping.
So please tell me how i can complaint againt bank and also can fire a case or complaint in RBI.

So that necessary action can be taken on this.

HDFC Bank poor service!

I am regular customer of hdfc bank from past 6 months. I shifted my account from ICICI bank to this bank. Being a customer of their bank from 6 months, I requested for a credit card for so many time, but I haven't got any positive response from them.

I am working in SIEMENS and my salary gets credited to HDFC bank only and I am maintaining a very good banking status with them. But Rather they offer me something I always use to ask for a credit card. I got a call from them also, but it was a pathatic customer service from their end. They were even least bother about my position in a company and also treated me as if I am begging for this card. I am really disappoint with the customer service they have provided to me and I am going to give up the relation with them.

Poor service!

Our firm Sri Janki stores had installed credit-debit card machine from HDFC bank. During one of our transaction customer's card was swiped thrice. But this transaction was not shown. But later when the customer checked his bank details he found three entries have been made. As we had made all his entries void the amount was transferred from our account. Till date the customer have not received his amount, so we had given him the cash money from our account. After repeated complaints made to HDFC bank Asansol Branch, till date we have not received the money in our account after giving the bank a written letter from the customer that he has received the cash from Sri Janki Stores.

The worst among the private banks of India, arrogant (do not even reply to complaints) and indifferent that a customer with tens of lakhs in their current account and potential business worth Crores might be treated with courtesy. And it is the New Delhi GK2 branch staff who need to to turfed out.

I have a balance around Rs. 500 in my salary account (account no: [protected]) on 07/01/2009. A few days later that amount will deducted and also it shown the negative balance of Rs. 3000/-. May I know the reason.
Please mail me the following details:
1. From whom that payment has made?
2. How do you made that payment even there is no sufficient amount in my account?
3. Why did not return that payment, why do you give that much of importance to that payment?
I need detail explanation within two days.

Hi,

I have taken loan from HDFC bank in November 2006 for Hero Honda Bike. (Agent name Pramod Mobile [protected]) thru dealer Ambika motors Owner Kashyap mobile number [protected] , [protected]. Till date inspite of several reminders for last 1 year he has not given me the RC Book and has also not tracable as he has shifted his Dealer outlet. whenever I call for the RC book the person on the no asks for money for RC book. Kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

I am working with Intertek, a well know MNC. I had experienced a worrysome situation with my HDFC Debit card. On 5th of Jan 2008, I did some purchasing of Rs.3831.00 with my HDFC debit card in Amway India office (CBD Belapur branch). Amway office did the swaping twice & the amount was taken twice from my account i.e. 2 X Rs.3831.00 = 7662.00.

Today when I checked my HDFC mini statement & found this problem I contacted the HDFC phonebanking services & they replied that if I am able to get the transaction paid slip ,then bank can transfer the balance amt to my account & if i don't have the same it will take long time !

Can anybody from HDFC senior customer service person help me to get my money back. I am really shocked & i am waiting for the positive reply from HDFC customer service. Pl.help...

recently i have received a letter dt.27.12.07 regarding payment for the incidence happend in july.
at thailand. and inspite of my repeated representation your bank had not taken any active steps so far.you are interested only to put interest on the amount which i have not paid.
paying money is simple.but somewhere it has to be stopped otherwise this mistake will continue for everyone.
i don'twant to beat the bush again and again and had decided to pay only when my problems are either solved or properly dealt with becos i am your customer and operating a large volume of money in your bank.
i request you to gothrough the papers i have submitted and it is me who had agreement with the hotel and the asia room agent for booking the room.
i am unhappy with your Bpo at coimbatore for her harsh words towards me.
money is money and it is difficult for everybody and if you don't answer the only way is that i can ask the assistance of reseve bank of india.

I had the worst experience in my life with HDFC bank, and I am expecting a response from a senior person from HDFC who would understand me.

I work as a support engineer in a BPO for Microsoft, An unfortunate incident happened with me when I was traveling by local train when I realized that someone picked my pocket and I lost my purse which contained 4 credit cards and Rs.650.00 my personal diary two debit cards and one ATM card and few of my personal stuffs.

This happened with me while I was going back home after my shift at 06.30 am. I rushed to the bank and blocked all the cards that I had so that no one could misuse it.

I walked around 8 KM to reach the bank since I had no money to pay the bus fare. Finally I reached HDFC bank so that I could get some cash for the next day to go to office.

I spoke to the Branch Manager Name Namrath Kotian (Emp. Code : N0025). She said he would only give me the money if I have the check book with me, and I have no other option available.

I explained her about the whole incident happened with me, and informed him that I stay far away from the railway station and it is around 16 KM away and I don’t even have a single penny to go back home. And I have a 2 year old account with HDFC and I haven’t used a single check am not sure i

She repeated the same script and kept ignoring me.

I requested if I could give a written request. She said it up to her to decide, and she would not accept it.

Then I had to leave and walk 16 KM to home, even after having money in my account. I am not sure if she was following the company’s rule, or she was misusing her designation power.

And if it the company’s policy I would never ever use HDFC credit or debit card. Because policies are made for the convenience for the customer and not for harassment.

This could have happened to any body, and if this the treatment that we will receive from HDFC I think no one would open a account.

The Branch Manager Name Namrath Kotian (Emp. Code : N0025) also gave me this in writing that she cannot give me cash without debit card or Check book.

I wanted to bring this to your notice so that this can be avoided in future.

And also want to inform you that I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service.

Hoping for a response and hope some one would take this seriously!

HDFC Bank hdfc bank doesn't follow customers instruction and harras them

I have applied for a cheque book into one of the HDFC Bank branchs in Bangalore. Though my mailing address is my office address, still I prefered to collect the cheque book from the bank branch itself and same has been instructed on the form. Later it was told to me that it has been despatched to my mailing address, which I havn't received even after a months time. Everytime they asked me to call phone banking and sort our the matter by srugging their responsibility. When I call phone banking after wasteing numouras valuable minutes and money "ON HOLD", inefficient customer service representatives are unable to resolve the matter. Sent mails after mails, but in reply to that I get few generic stupid formatted reply which no way served my purpose.

Now I am exhausted of cheque books and it seems HDFC deosn't bother to issue another one by resolving the matter.

CAN SOMEBODY PROVIDE ME THEIR HIGHER AUTHORITIES E-MAIL ID?

hello, mai apke HDFC ki account holder hu last 1 month pehle mera debit card misplace hio gya to mane apke barnch mai req. di new atm card ke but 1 pure 1 month ho gae hai mere pass koi atm deliverd nahi hua so kindly help ASAP.

HDFC Bank money not given

I am existing account holder of hdfc bank since 2003 but on sep-3-2007 when i withdraw amount 15000/- from hdfc atm branch old rajinder nagar. Atm machine gave no money out and also deducted same amount from my account.this incident took in night at 21:30 pm at delhi.i was so much inconvenienced with this. Mentally harrased. When i called customer care they say that they will take 48 hrs for this only to verify the matter i am really upset with this kind of service of hdfc bank. I am not going to leave this matter so easily...

Dear Sir,

I am a customer of HDFC Bank Ltd. Vikas Marg, Delhi - 110092 having NRE account in the same branch. Last year in May I was going to Nigeria, I went to bank to deposit My foreign currency. The dealing person in Bank (Sardar ji) said that you will be holding money in your account which will not be appreciate. And said, “Open a fix deposit account with us you will get 25 to 40% return at your money.” This is one time fix deposit scheme and I can breake after one year. He took my sign on blank form and he issued a insurance policy (Market Link) in my name for ten (10) year in which he showed me unemployed person whenever I am a NRI since 2000 and working in Nigeria. He sent the policy documents at my local address in Delhi. This is totally fraud.

Now a next year 2008 I came in India on occasion of marriage of my younger brother and before some days Mr. Santosh Kumar from HDFC bank visit to me and said if I will give a additional amount of Rs. 75, 000/- upto two year I will get a handsome return on my investment 25 to 40%. I issued him a cheque of Rs. 75, 000/- but unfortunately I have seen the policy document at my home I was surprised this is unit link insurance policy which shows my unit balance only 30, 000/- approximately against my 75, 000/- deposit. I have dishonoured the cheque. Now I am sending the above policy you and request you to refund my 75, 000/- as well as interest on this within 7 days.

I request you also why not you cancel the licence of Mr. Santosh Kumar and Mr Sardar Ji which has cheated me.

I am sending this letter to IRDA, RBI and PM office.

On 3rd may I did the transaction of 8000 Rs from State bank Of Hydrabad (laxmi Nagar Branch) and I didn’t get the amount from ATM from that day I am continously in contact with ur customer care and branch but all are not taking this thing seriously, after that I am mailing to you, I hope from your side I will get proper response, Plz send me the status of my complain and give the proper solution I also visited to Barakhamba branch but the person told me I will send you the Form to your office and form two days I am waiting and now the person saying you have to come to the branch .

I really fedup with the HDFC service . Plz send me the detail of my complain

HDFC Bank not returning my documents

Hi,

As i have submitted all the documents for applying Housing loan for HDFC Bangalore Kormangala branch (i am not sure of this branch) the person which came to my office and collected the document is Mr.Sachin his Mobile no is [protected].

Due to some requirement the loan was not approved its ok for me but till date he has not returned my Documents. From the last one month i am following up he is not bothered to return all my document including a check. Almost daily i am calling him but he is not taking my phone.

HDFC Bank unfriendly and rigid rules!

I have a HDFC International Gold Card and needed a personal loan against my card. Since I used the full credit limit of my card, I had to pay 25% of my credit limit in order to get my loan sanctioned. After the payment I called the credit department to send me an up to date card statement as needed for the loan. But the personnel (Preeti Sengupta) told flat on my face that there is nothing that she could help me with before my next statement date, which was another 25 days later. Unfortunately I needed the loan immediately and couldn't wait that long. It was a bitter experience of how unfriendly a bank could be to it's customers.

I have a HDFC Value plus credit card... my payment was due and i was unable to pay so wanted a settlement... i was denied a settlement... THAT WAS SHOCKING...
A collection department Agent "Jamal"... he would be perfectly placed as a goon at my residence...

For a payment of Rs 2400 he came to my house at 7:30 am and was using abusive words as well as even wanted to lay a hand on me... I have been a customer for 2 yrs with hdfc... but this is so unprofessional... i think thats not the way to harass people...

IF Actions are not taken against it... I have to take some!

HDFC Bank hdfc bank is trying not to be transparent in its working

I was a credit card holder of hdfc bank.a new scheme was introduced by them, of giving a cheque of 5000/-rs to the credit card holders and a lucky winner will get that amount. I was unlucky with that and returned that cheque and paid extra processing amount of rs.400/- to them. As i was unsatisfied with the credit card i cancelled it off with proper formalities in the bank.after some days we got a letter from the bank that our dues were remaining with the bank and pay it as early as possible, i inquired about the same on their customer care executive and was informed that i had no dues with them and just neglect the further letters. After 2 years latter banks recovery officer comes to ous house and ask's for rs 5101/-. I asked for the reason and summary of bifurcation of taxes there is no proper reply from them.

HDFC Bank no response by customer service!

I am using HDFC Bank Credit card which was got blocked by them due to non-payment last month.This happened as i was out of substation more job relocation to other state now i paid all chagers by cash & asked their customer services to please re-activate this card for which they were directing me from 1 nbr (022-[protected]) to 2nd nbr (022-[protected]) on one in their company know exact rule to get card activate after 04 days Mr Sachin who told me that he is senior office said this will not get activated.I got e mail from their employee on 11th aug that this wiil be activated within 07 days whom i had replied same day but no response received yet.

Are they auth to close contract between Customer & bank without intimating to customer more why they are not reverting to customer query on time?

Through an agent I apllied for Credit Card in June'2004.
He asked for payment of Rs. 950/= for that at that time.
I was make a Payment by Cheque Of Rs. 950/= in the name Of HDFC Bank LTd. and subsequently the above cheque was cleared On 07-06-2004 from my Bank A/c.

The amount was cleared by HDFC Bank LTD. Branch - SaradBose Street, Kolkata

But till dateI I have not received any Credit card or not refund of my money.

Please do the needful, so can I get my money refund.

This is to inform you that I have opened a Salary Account in HDFC on 21/10/08 which had applied on 22/09/08. Even I got the welcome kit at the time of application for the account. The problem arises when I was unable to use my ATM Card as well as my cheque was not accepted by your system. Although my salary for the month of Oct.’08 got credited in the same account on 12/11/08, I am unable to withdraw the same since the account is not operational till date.

I am working with Asian Granito India Ltd. which is one of your corporate customers. But, not getting any satisfactory reply from your customer care department despite of my several visits personally & telephonically. Now, I am getting frustrated & want a solution at your earliest. Hence, request you to kindly intervene as I am still confident that IDBI is the right bank to deal with & the problem I am facing is generated only by human errors not by system.

I would like to Thank HDFC for providing me excellent service & response when I was using your credit card.
However I have since left India & presently working abroad & therefore do nor want to carry on using the credit card facility. I had in facr for that reason not applied for a renewal once my card had expired. But I understand from communication received from my residence in India, that a fresh credit card along with a VISA MINI card has been issued & forwarded to my residence in the month of April 2008.
Further I also understand that a bill statement of Rs.1185.00 has also been sent thereafter. Since the cards are not applicable in my present country of stay, & I have not used the new issued credit cards,
I request you to please closer the account & do not forward any bill to my residence.
A line in confirmation to the cancellation will be appreciated. Thanking you once again for your superb service.

HDFC Bank hdfc is a bunch of crooks

In evidence of the above statement I would like to share my horrible experience that I had with HDFC Bank Credit Cards. I applied for a credit card, to be more precise, was smooth talked into applying for a credit card. The Credit Card # was [protected]. They framed a well planned payment dispute and started charging interests, various type of fees & penalties. They ignored the payments done and put more penalties and that too after submitting all the proofs of payments.

After some time when I got fed up and stopped payments, they started sending local goons who confronted me, my parents and humiliated me in public. No amount of reason worked with them. I tried to show them proofs of my payments but most of them were not literate enough or interested in my story. They had a hefty commission to take so they just wanted me to cough up more money.

When the situation reached alarming proportion and they started coming to my work place, affecting my business, I was frightened and went to bank and pleaded them to solve my payment dispute. After much pleading they obliged and sent a Settlement Offer Letter.

Being a normal law abiding person I forgot the earlier experience and deposited the amount mentioned in that letter. I thought this will end my suffering.

I was in for a shock when I started getting bills with more balance to be paid. When I contacted the bank, they assured me that it is a system mistake and there is no need to worry. Few months passed peacefully except these bills.

In March 2007, a few people impersonating themselves as men from Delhi High Court called from the mobile #[protected] at my home and threatened my parents that they will get me arrested (as according to them a case was registered in Delhi due to my non payment of dues) unless the balance amount is paid in full with in next few hours. When I was told by my parents regarding this, I contacted my lawyer, who asked for the copy of charge sheet or FIR. When I called them back for the same they forwarded me to [protected] saying that the number belongs to their advocate Mr. S. P. Malik. Mr. Malik straight away asked me to pay the money and did not provide the charge sheet or the FIR. After much pleading, he asked me to fax all the payment details to him. I did the same and when I called again he told me that he will discuss these with the authorities and if I am right he will have an apology issued from the bank.

It was quiet for a few days after that again same thing happened. This time they said that they are from Warrant Execution Cell from Delhi Police. The number they called from was [protected]. As I was sure that this may be another attempt by bank to frighten me. I approached local police and registered my complaint with them.

I am also contemplating legal action against HDFC Credit Card.

Moreover, I bear one pension plan with HDFC, I have already decided to discontinue the same. It may not bother HDFC card wing because it is not related to their department but I am going to give in writing that afore-described remains the reason because of which I lost my faith in HDFC and discontinuing all my relationship with this name.

All the documents regarding my story are in next few pages. There is also a written complaint in Hindi divulging all the details.

My peace of mind, my image in the market and the confidence my parents had on me is all gone. The only reason for my sufferings is that I went in for credit card from HDFC Bank.

A few of my friends have already turned down the offers from HDFC to go for their credit card and those already with the card have started returning their card.

It is my sincere advise to all HDFC credit card holders to return their cards immediately or they will have to face the same horrors. Please turn down offers from HDFC to make credit cards. You will gain nothing and instead will have to part with your hard earned money.

I agree that HDFC is a sick bank. I had a credit card from HDFC and for one of the payments i made I incorrectly missed the last no. of my credit card on the check I gave to them. In return I got a payment received receipt which had the complete credit card no. This payment was deducted from my bank account although I started getting collection calls. I kept sending proof of payments for almost 2 years but I still get the calls and its being almost 4 years now. Any advice on how to set them straight?

HDFC Bank no credit & unjustified auto debit

I had availed a Personal loan from HDFC and was regularly paying the EMI .I changed my company and the EMI stopped as I had to change my bank account and faxed the letter. From Feb 2006 to June 2006 they kept coming for collection telling me that the ECS is not deducted, no fax received and debiting ECS charges to my account. June I personally handed over the letter they said they will do the needful. In month of August a my EMI not credited inspite of paying in cash and having the receipt. Till Nov '06 they kept chasing for EMI no one did anything no credit of August. Nov they collected the new account and guarantee cheques for auto debit in new bank account and first thing they did that from Feb to Nov they debited all the ESC charges non payment to my account. ESC is regular from Nov '06 but no adjustment have been made for August '06 EMI and fro June wherein I have letter stamped for the ECS shift they are not refunding the charges remitted.

Can someone HELP! and stop these so called automated banks to play with personal hard earned funds...

Hi,
I got some sort fo problem with HDFC bank again, i had a credit card with HDFC and was stlen by some1 which happen to be my office mate so i didnt lodge the complain and i was able to recover the amy back

now i am strugling with HDFC as they are not ready to settle this account insted they are just increasing the bill inspite of n number of letters sent to HDFC i got no reply from these ppl.

In all transcation my signatures were not matching in counterfoil, i dont understand how the transcation was authorised and what can be done bout the same

I believe u need ot drag this matter into court as people in customer service are good for nothing ang they would want to be a part of problem, nobody will be a part of solution.
Just try it once, go to a advocate and send them first few letters

HDFC Bank customer abuse!

Hi,

Around 4 years back hdfc bank called me and mentioned that they have free credit card for me with no annual subscription or renewal fee. I obliged and they collected my details over phone and sent me the card. I used it and when I saw the statement they had added annual subscription fee (Not sure of what amount). I paid the expenses and called them to rectify - they first blamed other executives and later they asked me to send a letter. They also assured me that it would be rectified from next month's statement. I called them and followed up with them several times but even in next month they added the same. I payed my expense and then I requested them for cancellation. They canceled my card but they kept on sending the statement but everytime the call center used to tell me that they would rectify. After that they stopped sending me statements. An year later the collection agencies called me several times and I always explained the entire situation again and again. At that time I felt like going to consumer court but could not take the hassles. They mentioned that it is now 3k rs. After that they stopped calling me and I guessed they have corrected it.

Few days back i. E. 4 years later a nasty call was received by my wife in threatening tone for this payment. I am afraid of security and their harassment. I am thinking of taking some action against this.

HDFC Bank harassment by the bank goons!

I had a HDFC credit card which I was maintaining correctly, but suddenly due to health reasons I could not pay the monthly dues. One day 2 persons (GOONDAS) came to my house and abused me and spoke in dirty foul language with my family members and also told me to pay the full amount of Rs.30000 in 4 times which I agreed and payed as per the settlement letter. Now after all payment is cleared the bank guys again started calling me and asking for the payment dues. They say due to some problem the settlement got canceled hence I need to pay the amount again... and they stared sending people to my residence. Is this the way a bank like HDFC should behave ? Please never go for HDFC credit cards... you will spoil your happiness.

i pankaj kumar someone might have misuse my doc and made the credit card of hdfc bank and he is using this card since december 2007 date of issue the card. but i don't get any credit card/card ststement/receiving/bills either commnication address or mail or many more . Since 10 days recovery person calling me he forcing/theartining me to pay the due amount which is pending but when the card has made i was not working in any company kindly suggest me wht should i do or pls stop these calls it create a problem in my personal life and working life revert me as soon as possible on my mob [protected] i don't have the card no which is belong to me

HDFC Bank cheating done by them!

When Shall HDFC Credit Card Department stop its Robbery like all other banks HDFC Bank has been also a Criminal for which I have sent this Mail to all Media Sites also so HDFC Credit Card Department also gets expose. It is a Shame for me and I shall make sure to assure all other colleagues of mine not to be associated with HDFC Chor Credit Card Bank. I shall be after this Case of Forgery by HDFC Bank Credit Card Department to me, till my Final Day with HDFC BANK I shall try to make who has made money from my Card Please be sure you shall not be left for your good deeds surely to make money in short term.

It is a shame when a person who had come to India in Month of January 2007 and had settled the Card dues amicably with the Credit Card Department people 27/01/07 Rs.5,596/- Ref No.W1/26360 Rs.780 31/1/07, Rs.800/- 27/2 & 30/3 Rs.800 and had informed them that I am going out of India so in case of failure in payment kindly write a mail to me or deduct from my Saving Account. On knowing that balance Rs.1600 had not been paid I had written mail to Sent: Thursday, May 17, 2007 1:38:01 PM. Subject: RE:'HBL=[protected]' Credit Card (Laxmi & Aparna) they said they shall look into the matter and get back to me.

Then wrote many letters 'HBL=[protected]' Credit Card – Mr. Mohan, 'HBL=[protected]' Utility Bill pay – Jai Kumar.

Dear Mr. Shah,

This is further to your e mail regarding the card account. We wish to confirm that as per our records the settlement for the above card is now offered for Rs.13635.00. As we have already received payment of Rs. 6177.90, we request you to effect payment towards the remaining amount of Rs. 7458.00 for an amicable settlement of the card account. For any further clarification on your card account, you may contact our Debt Management Officer at the below mentioned number.

I want to know how can I go for second settlement when I am not in India. I want to know who has signed my papers on my behalf and tried to pay dirty trick to earn few money knowing I am not in India. Why was I not contacted via mail as when I had come for settlement I had clearly informed that I am leaving for USA so if you have any problems please mail me. I don't understand if I am not in India how can I sign documents for Settlement and hence they have declared me defaulter you can check your records I have a loan of Rs.88000 in your HDFC Bank and I have a salary of Rs.12000 so for me such a big amount being looted would break my back bone. Hence I request you to investigate in this matter from top most level and get me out of this cheating done by someone for his/her personal benefit and spoiled the relation between the bank and me.

But MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN LOTTED WITH Rs.6177.90 and Rs. 15,195/- is it not that when given the right to use the Account there should not be cheating done from CARD end.

HDFC Bank amount transfer from bank through electronic transfer!

As i am very old customer of hdfc bank from 1998 and also given so many customer to them but also caught in their list. Know i think that the person who make fraud and skip ,they are the right one bcoze that people cannot be caught it only make fool of reliable customer. My complaint is this when we never authorized bank to make any payment through electronic transfer than how can they debit our bank account with any permission from us. It is also a fraud on behalf of bank who manipulates there records and deduct money from our account. As there is no body to listen this rbi or govt. Authority they all making fool of innocent customer from whom they are earning business. If there is any body who solve this type of problem please mail me, i like to take legal action against bank or there concerned employee.

Dear sir, i had made a transaction dated 09/09/2014 from my credit card rs. 843 to BSNL. but sir, payment was deducted from my credit card but not deposited into BSNL account. i had to make a payment again to BSNL ACCOUNT for my connection to be continued. so, sir pleasa look in to this matter and reimburse that amount. HDFC Bank fake note of rs 500

On 06-Jun-07, I withdraw Rs. 3000/- from Udaipur Branch ATM(Rajasthan), 5 Notes of Rs. 500/- and 5 Notes of Rs. 100/-. On same day I deposit the same in ICICI Bank for Credit Card payment through Envelop Deposit. At Evening I received call by Ms. Madhulika Joshi from ICICI Bank regarding one of my 500/- note is fake, which I withdraw from ATM. Serial Number of note is 5BR 949282 and at the same time I had given the complaint regarding this in HDFC Customer Care. Then I visited on 07-July-2007 to ICICI Bank and after request they had given me note back in pieces and same day I visited HDFC Bank and told to Mr. Anupam Rai regarding this. But as per him they HDFC Bank is not going to do anything on that. Then I given complaint regarding this in writing and through mail also. But no response from bank and they are not ready to pay me.

I had a similar complaint only difference was that I had withdrawn with a 'self' cheque from HDFC instead of an ATM. But I put across a complaint on the RBI website, and that issue has taken a huge investigation turn and my notes also have been replaced. I think you should do the same.

HDFC Bank no instructions to customers on their debit cards

A mere half hour browsing the net would reveal how crooks, hackers can get around "PIN" and steal card from the Banks' ATMs using simple exernal gadgets such as PIN PADS, capture devices, hidden video cameras from top(camouflaged into brochure shelf) etc.

Though banks cry hoarse to keep your PIN secret, but once crooks decide they have your PIN.

From internet, I found customers' transactions data is available from third party who are contracted for maintenance of the machine by Banks.

Gadget and data coupled together. it is a coup for the crooks.

On 19th evening at at 7p.m., when my debit card trapped in HDFC ATM annexed to their Branch at valasaravakkam - chennai, there was no security around. There was no surveillance camera in the ATM chambers( Came to know later from branch official that crooks snapped the camera wires the previous day 18th June07 both @valasaravakkam and Anna Nagar suburbs of chennai).

Card is trapped in the ATM is the root cause. Unauthorized withdrawals later is consequence. for both bank (read bank management) is responsible.

Though ATM chamber space is used effectively to publicize about Bank's products & services available - Nothing is displayed in the form of "DOs" & "DONT's" in the ATM chamber, no emergency telephone number to contact bank official at ATMs aforesaid). No instructions neither in the ATM Chamber nor in terms & Conditions provided as to what should be done in case of Debit /Credit cards get trapped in ATM Machines. To cap it all, more than one ATM in a single enclosure with men coming for dropping checks for collection & to write out checks and challans defeats the purpose of maintaining any kind of secrecy for customers in front of ATMs. I wish, the contents supra with implied suggestions is brought to the attention of people at the helm so that they can contemplate indeed in "UNDERSTANDING" -us - the customers.

Terms & conditions to the customers, Banks state that Debit card is Bank's property; so also ATMs are bank property. when card is reported trapped in the machine, to protect their property & customers money, bank is expected to take initiative to go the police to do the investigation with video images at the time of occurrence of theft 0r/and unauthorized withdrawals from ATM. In my case, whether HDFC bank done this?

I contemplate that why bank can't be sued for improper upkeep of the machine, and not displaying instructions as to what customer should do in such contingencies &poor security surveillance arrangements which would have certainly acted as deterrents to crooks.

HDFC Bank debit card trapped in atm and loss of money from savings a/c

Around 7o'clock evening on 19th june 20007, I inserted debit card into one of 2 atms annexed to valasaravakkam branch of the hdfc bank. After completion of drill for withdrawal of money - for the last question "whether you require receipt for this transaction?", I pressed "no" button for the answer. Neither cash nor the card came out of the machine but the atm video (Monitor) was glowing with the words "contact branch manager". The day being tuesday it was weekly holiday for the branch yet I looked out for security and since no one was in the vicinity, I moved out of atm chamber taken few steps & spoken to the security man mariappan guarding at the branch entrance.

I asked him for meeting branch manager and he said bank closed on a/c of weekly holiday and no official available for contacting & they would be available only the next day. In the circumstances
Since debit card trapped in atm machine itself, I felt it safe to leave the place with a feeling that none can access to the trapped card & next day card can be collected from bank bm.

But next day forenoon before proceeding to the bank, on the bank's website I saw status of my account sb 0241xxxx11790 & found in a row of five transactions during the vee hours of 19/20 june 2007, my savings account debited with five atm withdrawals (Anna nagar chennai) totaling to rs.50000 (Fiftythousand).

I rushed to the banks branch - got debit card "hot listed", narrated the incident to bm shri ajit kumar.

Since I hv "not lost" the debit card elsewhere and it is only trapped in the bank's atm machine, police did not permit me to file fir. Complaint for reversal of debits toward unauthorized atm withdrawals - both written & oral to branch manager, answered crisply thus "that matter investigated and since withdrawals were done using your debit card & your pin, bank has nothing to do in the matter. " I am a senior citizen & live only on interest earned from savings.

I have lost the debit card, so i applied for the new card on Aug 29th, bank people told me i will receive within 7 working day. But still today (sep 11th) i didnt receive the debit card. Poor service.

HDFC Bank harassment by the recovery department!

Even after receiving confirmation mails from customerservices.[protected]@hdfcbank.com dated 19/10/2006 about the payment of Rs18000. And even after the issuing of the Settlement letter from the HDFC bank and even after showing the payment receipts to the recovery department. The recovery department is harassing by calling, for the amount of Rs15222.

This is Gaurav Sethi From Delhi and Collection Department of HDFC Bank is good for nothing and HDFC Bank cannot update anything in there Backend as well. I was using a Credit Card from the HDFC Bank and I have settled the same in 5 Installments of Rs 6000/- Each month. I already have a letter and still these are calling me again and again. Can anybody give me the email id of the Consumer Court. So that I can get this thing clear from HDFC Bank.

This is a Proven Fact that HDFC bank Collection Department has proved to be the MOST rude and Worthless in terms of Customer Addressing factors...

They violate the RBI rules like a Cake Bite ..because they know ( just by recording their Voice ) the customer will not be able to prove anything ..and so they keep on calling Customer's family and use abusive Languages which highly deem the morality factor of the individual.

I think RBI should Make the Helpline for Credit Card Customers (https://secweb.rbi.org.in/BO/compltindex.htm) ... Better Available in the web world ..so that their Defined Ombudsman authorities can take immediate action on the bank proceedings and repeated harrasment to the customer and its family..

For other to get facilitated ..I am stating the Address of the URl from where you can get the Address of the Ombudsman officers and send them letters .. ( BUT A Call number is also needed to be placed in this Page )
