Citibank wrong information and bad customer experiance

I am writing you today to explain my dissatisfaction & bad customer experience in your respectable Citi Bank Egypt I am the owner of TITANIUM Master Card Credit I went to Citi Bank branch “Mostafa El Nahas” on date 10 Nov 2015 to deactivate my credit card The agent there told me that I have to pay all amount on the card in order to deactivate + she didn’t have the system that calculate the total amount especially that the card have interest because of delay in payment I told her that I need to know the total amount “NOW” to settle the card & deactivate it She direct me to the CS (16677) as they can know the total amount to settle the card & deactivate it I phoned the mentioned CS on 10 Nov 2015, an agent answered me & I asked him to know the “TOTAL” amount on the credit card to settle & deactivate it He answered that I have to pay 20, 710 L.E. as this is the total amount required on the credit card to settle & deactivate it then to call them again after 12 am so that the amount can be reflected on the system & issue a deactivation request I told him are you sure from this amount & he answered yes I am sure (please listen to the phone call on that date, I phoned the CS from [protected]) Also I request a certificate mentioning that I have successfully deactivate the credit card & he answered that I have to pay another 60 L.E. to issue such certificate I paid on that day 20, 710 L.E. + 60 L.E. = 20, 770 L.E. (Please check the attach Receipt) I phoned the CS again on date 11 Nov 2015 to issue a deactivation request, the agent replied that the process will take 5 days & during these 5 days an agent will phone me to complete the process of deactivation request No one phoned me & I phoned them again today 16 Nov 2015 & asked to deactivate the card They direct me to one of the retention agents “Rawya Saif” & after verifying the data with me she replied that she can’t proceed with the deactivate because the card still have 417 L.E. not paid yet, I told her the above mentioned story & she replied that I can issue a complaint through the call center as she is not concerned with issuing a complaint! Conclusion: • I am not satisfied by the behavior of the collection agents who used to phone me & this is one of the main reason that push me to deactivate your card • I got wrong information from the call center agent who give me a wrong amount to pay in order to deactivate the credit card • No one follow up the deactivation request from the date of issuing the deactivation request 11 Nov till today 16 Nov 2015 • I am not happy with Rawaya’s phone conversation today with me as she is not supportive @ all • I am not happy with the agent behavior “Female” that answered me today & direct me to the retention team • The pending amount (417 L.E.) should be waived as I got wrong info from your respectable side regarding the total amount required to deactivate the credit card • I need the deactivation statement whom I paid 60 L.E. to be issued Thanks & waiting for your valuable feedback ASAP please

Citibank best buy credit card

I have had a best buy credit card for many years, and over those years I have bought many things. I bought a group of phones in 2013 and that was the last purchase I made. My card was closed due to inactivity! How in any sense of marketing does closing a card instill goodwill on any level. Due to this exemplary level of credit interpretation I will have nothing to do with citi bank, as far as best buy goes, I will go in their and look at what I want to buy and go somewhere else and bargain with best buys price! I would think that is the last thing that best buy would like!
Sincerely unhappy!

Citibank not accurate

I paid off over$ 13, 000 to citi bank on my Sears last year mastercard.-- I am now in the process of paying off my GM card that was negotiated down. I have had a problem postal service not delivering my mail if Lot 47 isn't on the bill they send it back and I have lived in the same house since 1987. when my husband died in 2003 I was also marked as dead and I had all kinds of trouble getting a job and was accused by the credit reports of stealing someone's social security card. I had to get our US. Senator Lindsay Graham to get it straight .I pay all my bills but my credit report just said I had a tax lien which is crazy.I don't owe any taxes. Most every month I pay a lot over the minimum amount. I want a fair report on my credit.

Citibank decline of application

Citi bank declines people that has EVER filed for bankruptcy against any of their credit cards, store cards, or gas cards. Their policy states that it does not matter if the bankruptcy was 25, 30 or even 50 years ago, if they still carry it in their data base even though the bankruptcy does not show on any credit repot your application will be denied.
With a non forgiving stupid policy as this bank has, I'm surprised with all the bankruptcy's over the past 40 or 50 years that Citi Bank is even able to issue a credit card to any body now a days. I think once this policy starts to get well known their competitor's will gain more business.

Citibank negligence

http://www.consumeraff
Re: 17125 Burton Ave, Lockport, Il 60441, Act # [protected] – >
It is truly amazing to me, how banks and mortgage companies had to be baled out by the government (taxpayers) in the real estate recession of [protected]. And yet CITIbank (CITImortgage) appears to be as dis-organized and mis-managed as ever. I would assume their share-holders and the public would be very interested in cases like mine.
I closed on a new home in 2007. In 2011, my Muscular Dystrophy flared up and my Neurologist made me leave my job as Hospital Administrator due to my worsening condition. I was put on disability and dropped down to half salary. I could no longer handle my house payments. At that time my mortgage was through Nationwide. They approved a Deed In Lieu in 2012 and I was ready to move out to a rental apartment. Within a few days while I was getting the papers signed, I got a letter that Nationwide sold my mortgage to CITI. I contacted CITI and found out that I had to go through the whole process again. I went through the arduous task of completing all of the paperwork AGAIN updating everything. I was approved by CITI in the spring of 2014. The only thing that was needed was an inspection and contact with the Homeowners Association to get a status update on fees owed. I tried to do this myself, but was told by the HOA that CITI had to request this info. They also wanted an inspection and the keys turned in. The inspector came out twice, took pictures and I left the keys on the counter as instructed and moved out. This occurred in fall of 2013. I emailed and called many, many times. I didn’t get any response until I was told that my case was closed for lack of cooperation in getting the HOA info. Up to this time, I had been pleasant and cooperative. Now because of my illness worsening due to stress, I complained. I was forwarded to the Executive Response Team. I was assured that the case would be finalized and I would get the Deed In Lieu BUT I had to complete all of the info AGAIN because so much time had gone by. So I submitted all of the updated paperwork FOR THE THIRD TIME and waited. I even got the updated info from the HOA for CITI. Now I am being told that my case is closed again because the inspector can’t get into the house to do an inspection (which was already done 18 months ago). I was told to get police to go to the home and evict whomever was living there. I contacted the HOA and was told that they had rented it out and the renters were interested in buying it. AGAIN, I emailed and called CITI to re-open the case with the possibility of a short sale. My three emails and calls have been unanswered.
Does CITI have so much money that they can let a house sit for over two and one half years with no payments coming in. Or are they just so negligent and dis-organized that they keep shuffling my case from person to person, all of whom have the “not MY job” attitude. If I had run my Hospital Units as poorly as this process was handled, I would have been fired long ago. HOW CAN THIS HAPPEEN. I’m sure the public (taxpayers) would be very interested in seeing just how much progress the banks (CITI) has made since 2007. I would be happy to let them know.
I would have given up, but I think people need to know what CITI is doing. I have been trying to do the right thing for CITI and for me. I wanted to save them the trouble and expense of a foreclosure. And I NEED the grant from HAFA for my moving expenses. I am willing to pursue this legally if I have to. But I am hopeful that this can get resolved without going through that process. PLEASE give me someone who knows what they are doing and is willing to do their job.
Janet McCrea

Citibank sucks! I had a Shell and Exxon Mobil account for almost a year. I had no problems with these accounts up until recently. I used them responsibily and when I did either paid the entire balance or at the very least more than minimum. Citibank cheating to the customers by charging more not even reach to over limit.

I had a Credit Card of Citi Bank. I had paid my all minimum payment (BHD. 82.000) for the month of Nov -2014. which was BHD 80.430, after this I done transaction of BHD 15.000 on06/12/2014 and another transaction of 3.750 on 10/12/20414. After doing transaction I received a massage in my mobile mentioned, your available limit is BHD 21.510. after this in my statement they charged me BHD 18.510 as financial Charges.
Balance should be BHD 3.000. But Citi bank people charged me over limit charges of BHD 13.000. How come it possible ?
I registered a complaint for this, until now there is no reply. When I called at their Customer care they said " your request has been decline". These people cheating us by doing all this and charging us more. Please guide me what to do my No [protected].

Citibank Credit sold my account without my consent or signature to GE
Money Bank. They transferred my original sale price plus interest without
taking into account the fact that I paid two years on the principal and interest $123/month for a total of $2952. I gave no permission to transfer
my account over to GE Money without my signature or notification.

Citibank completely no support and the staff is unprofessional

The worst services, so be aware that the company Citibank Inglewood Branch is total scam. I got three cards from them, but all security codes didn’t match and none of these cards ever worked. I went to their branch and wanted to get help, but the rep was total jerk and couldn’t provide the new card and he tried to explain why, but he told only some crap. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Let’s share views about this company.

Citibank account block issue

Citibank blocked my UK account for some reason. I called back to unblock it and I was told that it would be done within 24 hours. I called after 48 hours and still it was not done and I was again told that it will be done in 24 hours. They dont know the reason it is blocked and they dont know the department who blocked it, what crap. This is still going on from 10 days and I have been calling twice a day, every time they say that they have sent the email to concerned department and it will be done in 24 hours. Their supervisor knows nothing and he doesn't know how to expedite the request further.
Stay away from citibank uk, I will move my money out at the first chance I get.

Citibank no customer service!

Premier Card with $175 annual fee.
"0" balance Credit Card with $15K credit line available was declined for a "$1000" charge @ 2:00 am in Los Angeles, CA.
Called the 24/7 Customer Service phone printed on the back of the card, an automated system asking all kind of security questions for account verification, before transferring to an agent. However, I got a voice-mail, saying I reached the CitiBank's customer service after business hours!
Tried three times, [protected], and the same process.
After a few days, I called the same number within the business hours asking what is going and to report that there might be a problem with that Automated system transferring customers to a wrong number after hours, etc.
The agent, offered me some free points however, I said there is a problem, and she said that she dont know what to say and can not do anything about it. So I asked for someone who can, and she transferred me to her Supervisor.
This Man identified himself as "Max King" told me we work 24 hours and doesn't know what happened. And then asked me when did you called, I said look at my account, you see the declined charge, the time and the date, I called at the same time, the same number that I'm talking to you now. SUddenly he became rude, and start cutting me off when I was trying to answer his questions, and went on and on about "well you told me a week ago, but your account shows two days ago, so which one is i? and on and on, So I replied, that is not the point, its all in the account, the fact is that you did not have anyone helping your customer then and neither right now!
I'm doing you/your company a favor! calling you my time to let you know there is something wrong with your Automated system, and this is what I get? He replied, well, !'m going to make a note of this, but there is nothing I can do...

? So what I am wondering what if I needed help? s this the shape of things to come with the CitiBank Credit Card? or just the Premium members?

?

Citibank abusive credit card tactics

After 6 years of being a loyal credit card customer, I mailed my monthly check seven days in advance and they claim they did not receive it. I called twice as a concerned customer. Phone service did not recognize my phone number, or my credit card. After a long wait I explained and documented with a case number my attemps to have this payment posted on time. It is very common for this Bank to claim payments arrive late to quickly assess a late fee and jack up the interest rate to 28.990%. Vice President G.Stevens (I guess they do not want to reveal the first name) quickly sent a threatening letter for late payment. I had already made a second payment over the phone, and coincidentally the supposed late payment was posted on my account at the same time resulting in double the payment I was supposed to make. Totaly premeditated and abusive tactics. The letter from G. does not show a reply mailing address. Only address is on the payment stab, good luck trying to find a Ciibank Vice President in Sious Fall, SD!. I showed concerned and got in touch with the Bank three times trying to continue my clean payment record. I hope to receive confirmation from the bank that my interest rate will not be increased.

Citibank tagging in circus report

I have a 'tagging' for my housing loan in cicrus report by Bank Negara and end up my loan application with other bank was rejected.
The tagging is by Citibank for my housing loan. I have filed a report to Citibank on 13th June 2014 and it was not solve until now.
Citibank collection depart who handle my case mentioned that they have to do investigation on which department did the 'tagging - Rescheduled credit facility' for my housing loan. My housing loan is uptodate and there is no leagal action taken and the issue is to remove the tagging. Until now Citibank cannot prove who asked for the tagging. They mentionad I as customer was the one who requested to reduce the interest rate for my housing loan in year 2008 but still they yet to find such document that I am the one who requested. I am very dissapointed with the way of Citibank handled my case since my loan application with other bank is pending/hold subject clearance of the tagging. I do not have problem with my other loans, all payment are uptodate and I do not see
why Citibank cannot solve this. My housing loan account no is. [protected]

Citibank failed to renew my card

I have (had) the Sears Citibank Card and I have a $6, 000 credit limit. I've had the card since 2012 I have used about $3500 of the available credit, I pay my bill on time and always more than the minimum. I get an email on 8/1/14 saying they regret to inform me that they are not renewing my card (which expired the day before) because of too many revolving credit cards/loans and balances too high. Well I'm sorry but I don't see where that's any of their concern. I pay all of my bills on time every month and always pay more than the minimum on all of my cards. I'm only using a little over 50% of the credit available on this card, I've never been late, never over the limit and they're making money off me in interest so to decide to not renew the card doesn't make any sense to me. If they refuse to reconsider I'm going to transfer the balance one of my other cards and they're going to lose all of the interest they would've earned from me.

Citibank rude behaviour of executive

To,
Responsible person of Citibank Customer Care Service

Sir,
This is to inform that this complaint is against one of the customer care executive named Gurpreet in Citibank Customer care's Credit Card section. When I called to the toll free number [protected] regarding the activation of SMS alert for Credit card payment, Mr. Gurpreet shouted at me over the phone in an unprofessional manner instead of guiding me in a proper and polite manner.

Mr. Gurpreet was utterly disgusting, impolite, unprofessional and manner less employee of Citibank who is making the standard of the service to third rate. As a customer of citibank I am totally unhappy with the conversation and service provided by Mr. Gurpreet.
I hope that this issue will be taken seriously and Citibank can make its customers happy by assisting them in a professional manner.

Regards,
Sheena.S

Citibank credit card fees

I have been a card holder of Citibank Philippines for 12+ years, and a gold card holder for 8 of those years. To give you an idea of the business we have run through the card, we have accumulated 400, 000 rewards points on the card. Recently the bank decided to discontinue the gold card product and shifted my account (presumably all gold card holders as well) to a Rewards card product. We received the new card with a fee table indicating the Rewards card annual fee is 2000PHP. However, the intro letter also indicated that my card was being shifted and would now be subject to the terms and conditions of the Rewards card, except, the gold card annual fee of 2500PHP would be retained.

I called Citibank and tried to get clarification as to whether my annual fee would be 2000PHP or 2500PHP and if it was 2500PHP what was the difference between the Rewards card on the fee table vs. the Rewards card they shifted my account to. The call center rep could only repeat what the intro letter stated and was unable to give me some rationale for the difference. She promised to check further and ask me to call back within the week.

I called back, on a Saturday, after a week and, unfortunately as I expected, got another round of 'marketing speak'. To their credit she did note that my original concern was recorded on the account but with no resolution. I asked for a contact with the Marketing Div. assuming they would be better able to respond. She could not, or would not, give me a contact using instead the excuse that it was a weekend there would be no one there anyway. I asked to speak to a call center manager, of which she said there were several attending to other customers. She put me on hold but returned to express her 'regret' they were still tied up. She again promised to follow up with Marketing during the week and someone would call me. It is now Thursday and no hint of a call from Citibank.

At this point I have pretty much decided to close the account, not so much for the 500PHP difference but for the indifference that Citibank Philippines seems to now foster among its 'customer service' staff, or perhaps its refusal to empower its customer service staff with the ability and information to actually provide customer service, or just the willingness to talk to customers beyond the call center environment.
