ADT Security Services bad customer service

My alarm was notifying me that I had a communication problem so I called they came two days later and said I had to upgrade for to work properly. I have been paying $43 per month for 12 years and they could not help me unless I paid. I told the tech who is very nice that I was going away for the weekend and I have pets so I do not want the alarm to beep consistently because of the communication problem. He said no problem and disconnected it but then the following night when I was packing my bags it's started going off. I called and they told me they would not be able to send somebody out because it was over time even though there was a tech at my house the previous evening. This is the worst company to work with I would advise anybody to go local. They also told me loyalty does not mean anything to them because they are ADT and nationwide.

ADT Security Services increase in service fee & 30 day advance notice for termination

My service contract was @ $50 per month in the beginning, and now I'm paying $64.58 per month. (it increased gradually...little by little). I called in and asked for reason, and the customer rep told me that they added new features over the 3 years of my contract term. I never consent to add new features. Also, I called to cancel my service today on 5/13/18 and they told me that my service will terminated on 6/13/18 due to the 30 day notice policy. Why do they even need 30 day notice?

ADT Security Services sales manager raymond rosello in riverview, fl - extremely rude

Extremely Rude Sales Person in Riverview Florida, as soon as I said no I wasn't interested because the cost were high Raymond then proceeded to call me a liar and claim that I did have money to pay for the monthly fee of $60 per month (the audacity to call me a liar to my face - extremely rude) and that I'm gonna regret that day I say no to him because someone is gonna break into my house, making me look like a fool and then eventually somehow magically in the future I'm gonna come back running to him for security from ADT. What an amazing unprofessional sales pitch by calling me a liar and then proceeding to try and play on fears by threatening me that my house is evidently gonna get broken in to. Even if it did get broken into, I would never do business with this sales person or anyone associated with Raymond Rosello from ADT. Just plain rude. Extremely unprofessional.

Their address and other information so you can follow up on my complaint or if you decide to avoid them. They like to prey on people from new construction homes and such.

ADT Security Services billing, being overcharged account # [protected]

I signed of for your services July 2017 for $36.99 per month in which I was charged 52.99 each month. Defenders was also billing me so I was getting charges from both Defender and ADT. I have called and called to get this matter resolved explaining myself over and over. Most recently I contacted the complaint department at [protected] spoke with Brandon Bicker Badge #109952 ext.1126701 a manager on 02/23/2018, he told me that some one will contact me within 24 hours and my over charged money will be refunded back to me, I have called him 5 times leaving messages on his phone, he has not returned any of my calls.

This is very bad customer service from ADT and have never experience such poor customer service in my life and staff not knowledgeable of their jobs nor any follow through procedures.
I am asking to have this matter resolved right away please contact me at [protected] if I don't answer please leave a message so I can return the call in order to avoid any further legal action. The amount of my refund I am requesting $194.61

ADT Security Services cancelled home security

I have called to cancel an account I had for my mentor, Irene Nelson, at 6817 S Dante. She passed away in September. We are selling the house. When I called I was told to email ADT. I never received a response. I called again and was given a different email address to write to, being told that this was the one that would work because it was somehow special and more direct. I wrote to that address as well and still have not received a response. The first email was sent to [protected]@adt.com on 3/24/2018, another email was sent to that address on 4/10/2018 and finally an email was sent to the supposedly more effective address, [protected]@adt.com, on 4/17/2018. There was no message failure notice for either of these and no response from ADT. Now I am being told to go to City Hall and hunt for a death certificate and send this to one or both of these email addresses. This account was set up by me and paid for for under my name from the onset. I felt that she needed a grater sense of safety in her home and ADT was perfectly happy to work with me on this. Now I'm spending hours trying to communicate with what appears to be a circuit of dead ends during an extremely difficult time. ADT continues to bill me and refuses to provide clarity for the process of cancellation.

ADT Security Services $27.99 special - was no special at all - price increased to $48.99!

on April 26- ADT technician (Billy Myers) came to install the current special they are offering of $27.99 ("free" parts and activation, "free" pre-wired window sensors, "free"wireless remote, and $100 visa card). Technician/salesman was made aware of the special I signed up for several times throughout his trying to sell me other items - my daughter is a witness. When I called to get this "special"- the customer service explained everything to me of the "special" in detail - so I told her I was interested in this "special" - now somewhere along the line from this telephone conversation to when the technician came out to install this particular "special" the price went up without them informing me of the price increase. NEVER did the technician make it clear or explain anything about my monthly rate being different from what I agreed to with the customer svc representative on the phone. Today (May 2, 2018) I received in the mail detailed statement of billing, I noticed the price increased ($48.99) from what I signed up for($27.99), I called customer svc. and I was told there was nothing that could be done since I had signed the technician's board - the board showed no numbers of any kind, just space for signature. Being a law abiding citizen and a senior in the City of Pasadena, I trusted ADT for the "special" they offered and never did it cross my mind they or anyone working for them would be so devious to take advantage of this senior. Had I known this is the kind of business you run, I would have kept my former Security system. I am NOT happy with this transaction. Your business is about "TRUST", I trusted you enough to switch to your company - now I know ADT can't even be trusted to honor the specials they offer. The rest of my family was going to sign up with ADT but now knowing their mother was mislead - they have changed their minds. I will also inform my church groups of your business practices. ADT Security Services customer service manager names tiffany with indianapolis call center

Tiffany originally guaranteed equipment that her employee named George authorized. After getting my social security number verification and identifying me as a premium customer she retracted what was originally offered. The acts this ADT employee was unethical, intentionally misleading, rude and unprofessional. She lied to get the sale and attempted to change the terms once the date of birth and social security number was confirmed. I asked for her supervisor information to voice my concerns and she basically informed me that I would need to speak with her to complain on her. Tiffany claimed that she is located at the Indianapolis call center. I called [protected]. I need contact information for a regional sales director.

ADT Security Services increase in monthly security cost whilst under a 2 year contract

I have 2 homes that was under a 2 year ADT security contract. During the contract term the cost to service both homes increased significantly which was unacceptable. I had a discussion with an attentive customer service representative today in which she was willing to revert back the rates to the original contract rates and was willing to give me a 50% discount on the 1st 6 months worth of billing if I signed another contract. Does that seem to be ethical? First off, I was in a 2 year agreement and during the contract period is when I received the increase in rate for both my homes. Hopefully my situation is an isolated incident.

ADT Security Services pulse

We have a heat pump. The man who installed our security system hooked up our pulse to our heat pump. He did not know what he was doing. After an hour of the heater coming on after trying to turn on the air the House was 91 degrees. he finally called an electrician who reconnected the wires to the thermostat where the air conditioner would run instead of the heater. He left without the pulse ever working yet we have been charged all these months for having a nonworking pulse.
Well stupid us, decided to try to get the pulse working again since we are paying for it and again the tech cane out and left with the heater running all day instead of the air. Came home to our heater blowing out hot air and house close to 90 degrees Called them after having a fit to get them out at night the tech says cannot hook up a pulse to heat pump, It's not possible.
At this point I want my money back for all charges and bills. That may pay for our heating bills!
Our we the only people in Florida that have a pulse and heat pump? REALLY!

ADT Security Services security pulse

I've had nothing but trouble trying to get my second business pulse system working in the Cleveland Ohio area.
Not only have I had issues with my rep based out of Akron, now his boss is ignoring my messages, Paul's last message is that he messaged the Cleveland office and said they were going to contact me. When I said no one called me, he hasn't replied.
I even called and spoke to customer service who promised they would get back to me and again no reply.
I have a system I can't use and you expect me to pay for a service I'm not getting.

ADT Security Services poor sales service with establishing an account. numerous times!

I called yesterday, April 10th to open a new ADT acct and the rep was suppose to follow up with me today and never called. I called ADT back this afternoon to find out why the follow up call never happened and after the rep couldnt located anything under the info I provided, she found out my personal info was entered incorrectly. Upon her placing a new order for me, she said she had to contact the credit department and call me back in one hour. After 6 hours, she never called. I called back and spoke directly to the credit department who said order was never sent to then and they were going to contact the rep and call me back in less than an hr. No call back after 3 hours. I called back and the rep was trying to do a whole new order since he couldnt find my order. Then when I voiced my frustrations he just said "ok well cancel everything. Have a good day" Wow. After all the dilemma of trying to develop a relationship with this company and establish service I give up. This is the worst experience I had with any company when trying to give them business. ADT should really coach their reps on customer service and keep up with schedules with clients. Ruined any possibilities on ever dealing with them. I plan on having both my parents disconnect services with them too and explain this to my church members. Truly thumbs down ADT

ADT Security Services our adt security services

We are paying for a system that we have not used since we moved in July 2017. We used our system every day at our past house and loved it but when we moved nobody told us we would lose all our equipment and have to buy new equipment nor were we told to bring our equipment, so we had to settle for a new system that we hate and never use. The new system keypad is not like our last one that was very easy to use with its buttons that clearly noted stay and away. The new one requires us to remember numbers like 1 ans 2 and it is difficult to remember which one is which. We are paying a huge amount per month over $40 and never use it which makes us even more upset especially when we see adds for awesome new ADT system deals for 27.99 per month or less we constantly feel ripped off and cannot wait for our contract to be over so we can get a different security system .

ADT Security Services charge for a false alarm

My family has ADT for a couple of years now, they are 3 sisters between 60 to 67 years old.
They stop using the system during the day since there is always one of them at home.
They use it just at night.
We received an unpaid bill for $200 for a false alarm that happen back on Dic. 10, 2017.
When I called and ask what happened, they said that somebody inside the house pressed the panic key in the control panel.
That couldn't happed because the 3 sisters (my mom and 2 aunts) were in Colombia South America from Nov.27th to Dec.15th, there was nobody at their house. I am the only person different that gas a key and I was also in Colombia with them.
They sent a technician to check the system, He took 5 min. Looking at it and didn't said a word.
I got the bill again and I ask to speak to manager and I was sent to a mail box.
ADT doesn't want to waive the bill, but honestly, how can you press the panic key from the control panic when you are not even in the country?

ADT Security Services unethical behaviour

Today 3/24/2018 I spoke to a very rude individual employee of ADT (Erick) he did not provide his last name (like he does not have one, or like he is embarrassed to be work with ADT, or he is embarrassed of his last name). This individual make me feel stupid and uncomfortable.

The following is the incident that occurred today: I asked Erick if the ADT Technician carries alarm batteries in their truck and he did not answer. I asked him 3 times and his answer made me feel stupid he said something to the following extent: Are you asking me if the technician carries batteries in their truck (like saying are you kidding me stupid, why will they not carry batteries in their truck). Note: I asked him this because as far as I remember I once had a case where the technician told me they don't carry batteries and that I had to order them online, or that he did not have one with him.

So, I just wanted to make sure that I did not have to order a battery online. I wanted to make sure the tech brings a battery to my home in case he replaces the back up battery.

Then, Erick was pressuring me about "is there something else I can help you with" without me replying he was already saying thank you for calling ADT.

Then, when I told him he was pressuring me and that he needed to calm down he got mad, rude, abrupt, nasty and kept on pressuring me about "is there something else I can do for you" question. We all know what this means (in case you don') it means I want to end this conversation now. He went onto say "this is an emergency line" I told him he should've told me that since the inception of our conversation and he should've giving me the right number to call. This made me feel like a panhandler asking for money and a selfish individual being annoyed by me panhandling.

I not a panhandler I am a customer and should be treated like a King/Queen, but no..., not Erick he treated me like dirt. I will cancel my ADT alarm in a near by future because this is not the first incident that I/we have hand with ADT. They are very aggressive, demanding, rushers, nasty, hard complex, people to deal with.

I wish they go bankrupt. And, I wish all of those unfit employees get fired, or lose their job due to bad customer service. Customer should not go thru this repugnant customer service experience.

ADT Security Services installer unprofessional, rude. attempted to upsale product, billed for services not rendered, damaged personal property.

After initiating installation in march 2018, installer showed up late for appointment. He tried to persuade purchase of more expensive option. When we refused he complained of job being more difficult. Installer proceeded to severe entire fiber optic cable wire leaving us with no phone, wifi or cable then tried to minimize what he did. Installer insisted on having contract signed anyway on a temporary basis at a much higher monthly rate. When we refused, once he was granted the ok to leave by company he ripped equipment from walls leaving unsightly damage. It was later, we discovered that they were really company named "defender" as authorized vendors of adt products. Getting refunds almost impossible along with being billed for services not received. I thought this was the leading in their industry only to find them being the worse. They should be held accountable for all of their faulty practices. I found them to be a nightmare and wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy.

ADT Security Services accounting department/service cancellation

ADT has called me 18 times to ask me to pay a bill that isn't due. I transferred my service to a new location in November. I spoke to the customer service reps about 8 times. Twice I spoke with the supervisor. 3 times they sent me to the cancellation department. 3 times I was told it was indeed cancelled (transferred) and I did not owe anything. Yet...the calls keep coming. I just got one again - and the gal looks at the notes and says (again...), oh you are correct, you do not owe a balance and your account was closed. This is now bordering harassment. I just want the calls to stop. It's insanity.

ADT Security Services fraudulent billing and poor service

ADT contacted me in early January 2018 stating that a $245 bill was past due. I informed the person that all service bills were paid upto date and they had made an error. I again spoke with an ADT rep today and spent more than 30 minutes on the phone. I had asked for a Manager but was never put through to one. In early January I had asked them to cancel my account as the alarm wasn't working again for the last few months. In the 5 plus years since they installed the alarm, majority of time it hasn't worked. They fixed it after we had a break-in a couple of years ago but it stopped working a few months ago. I informed the rep in January and again today that I was cancelling the account - due to fraudulent billing, poor service and not rectifying the issues even though I have complained about it multiple times.

ADT Security Services service, dealer, customer service

We had Adam from Bulldog security show up at our house selling ADT services.
He flat out lied about the services, prices, didn't explain and the process, then sent a very inexperienced tech to set up the service.
Same day of the installation, we called both ADT and Bulldog security for the cancellation process and no one was willing to provide us with ANY information.
Bulldog just plain never answered their phone, we kept getting a recording saying that we need to leave a message but when we tried we got another recording saying that we were not able to leave messages.
ADT would just keep transferring us to Bulldog even though we kept telling them no one was picking up the phone. This went on for two days.
I finally got someone from Bulldog who said that I was not legally allowed to cancel even thought they could see my name on the contract.
Some guy named Rene called, said the same thing and promised that they would send us a cancellation form by email which we never got. Again, we called several times, were on the phone for almost an hour with ADT who REFUSED to tell us the cancellation process and kept transferring to Bulldog who never answered the phone.
Then we called the sales guy, Adam who just plain said "Good luck" and hung up on us.
Finally, we just printed a cancellation request and found a fax number after looking for the information for three days. We now got an email saying they received the cancellation request.
We better not be charged anything for their incompetence, unprofessional behavior, rude customer service and lack of cooperation.

ADT Security Services inferior alarm system 2 windows not protected

ADT South Africa... Sales Manager Ashley... where is my panic button. ? Why did you charge me for new ones and deliver old one?
Mallard Street...

ADT is not always there... we are living in danger.. 2 window are not protected... you have known fir a whilrpe and admit it.. now you want to charge me a discounted price to fix your stuff up... If anything happens to the pensioners on the property, ADT, Fedility will be held Respobsible...
