I’m writing to inform shell of the unsavory customer treatment at one of it’s locations. The shell gas station in question is located at 9601 grand ave. , franklin park il. Usa, 60131, operated by circle k, store#6741.

My very large family and I have been living about 1 block from the location for about 10 years. We have given all of our local business to this store location, both gasoline and convenient store, due to it’s convenience and pricing. We have all had very negative experiences at this location with just about all of the employees working all shifts, including the manager. We have also witnessed the employees treating other customers badly, very badly. There is a lot of very bad attitudes, very aggressive behavior, terribly slow and incompetent customer service going on there.

A couple of our experiences include: the absolute refusal of the on-duty employee to refund or acknowledge a problem with the car wash. I was aggressively and repeatedly yelled at, and told that I was out-of-luck for the $8 dollars that I spent on the wash at the pump. Had I bought the ticket inside, then they could do something about it. I eventually got on the phone with the police, and as soon as I did, they finally acknowledged the problem and wrote on the receipt that I did not receive what I paid for and could come back in a couple of days to speak to the manager. When I attempted that, the manager informed me that there was nothing she could do for me. I put up a fight and eventually got her to agree to review the security camera recordings. I had to come back two more times that week to argue with the manager and get my refund. All of this for a meager $8 after the years of being a faithful customer to only this location!?!

The latest incident occurred november 2 about 8:30pm. I simply went in and attempted to buy some beer from the cooler. There was none on the rack but I could see that it was in the cooler behind the rack. I asked the clerk if I could go in to the cooler to get the 12 pack and he went completely off on me. He very aggressively stated that I was not allowed in the cooler without even a question. So, my next statement to him was that I was just trying to make his job easier (So that he didn’t have to leave the counter to go in to the cooler) but it was not a big deal. As he went in to the cooler, I stated that he should keep the cooler stocked. That statement set this employee off on me violently, I was actually scared that he was going to fight me on the spot. Instead, he screamed loudly and very violently at me to get out of his store… my response was to get out of that store as quickly as I could and never come back, ever!

Because of these incidents, and more like them, my family and I are actually scared to go in to the store due to at least three of the employees working there, and the non-attention to the very obvious employee misconduct from the stores manager, who seems to be just as bad. We did not have any problems with this location and it was pleasant to shop there until they were bought and staffed by circle k, a few years ago. We will no longer shop, buy gasoline or frequent any shell or circle k location due to these very unsavory employment practices. Even in this terrible economy, we would rather drive the extra mile to a competitor and pay higher prices, just to be treated fairly, and with the respect that any customer deserves!

I have and will continue to warn friends, family, acquaintances, and anybody that will listen to stay away from that location, circle k, and shell gas stations, because of the terrible experiences that my family and I have endured for the past few years, and in the interest of their right to shop safely without intimidation or bullying!

dude we get paid 7.50 a hour and r expected to take care of customers maintain the store cash controll clean and put up with tude from ppl like u get 4 real as i said b4 the pay sux do u actualy think we give a ### about u ? all the smiles u c the bogus hello how u doings are all fake sometimes we cant even muster that up give me a break get your ### n get the hell out as fast as u can
