Cirlce K needs to give extreme and agressive training in customer service. Circle K's emplyees are on a power trip and think they can treat people anyway they please. They make racists remarks and make up policies as they go. I asked for change for $5.00 to use in a "machine in their store" the cashier stated I dont have any ones. So I put a bag of 99 cent chips on counter. I paid with a five and she sure found four ones to give me. This is only one of the many incidents I've expirenced with this company. What happen to Circle K the convience store?

First, I would like to know if anyone has had any luck getting hold of any owners of these horrible places. Apparently they are [censored] and don't want to handle any of these issues. I have been absolutely mistreated more than 4 times now and have called the area manager corp office 5 times ,they will not call me.

Ok so I personally own 2 businesses here in Charlotte. I got into a very bad auto accident, my right leg was completely broken off at the hip area. I have a hard time walking sometimes . So I guess the employees think they can makeup rules as they wish. Anyways I think they really have some kind of power trip going because they always are so rude, even to crippled people. If they only knew that every time they are like that, I have at the moment enough money just in my checking account that I could most likely buy the damn store they work in. I would be willing to bet just one of the trucks I drive(paid for) is worth more than their place to live. So go figure. Anyways if anyone knows how to get their attention on this rudeness please tell. I will give it some time, otherwise I will be forced to take other remediation.

Thank you.

I WAS RACIALLY PROFILED AT CIRCLE K IN CARY NC. STORE LOCATION NUMBER 1032. NOW LETS GO BACK
A FEW MONTHS, I HAD APPLIED FOR A PART TIME JOB WITH THE STORE MANAGER MONTHS AGO. I HAVE A VERY
WELL PAID FULL TIME JOB BUT JUST WANTED TO WORK ON THE WEEKENDS. I WAS TOLD BY THE CIRCLE K MANAGER
I HAD FAILED THE ASSESSMENT TEST WHICH I KNOW I PASSED. I BUY COFFEE FROM THIS LOCATION ON A DAILY BASIS IN WHICH I HAD PURCHASED A COFFEE MUG IN WHICH ON YOUR 5 PURCHASE YOUR COFFEE IS FREE. ON THIS PARTICULAR DAY I GO PURCHASE MY COFFEE AND THE SAME MANAGER IS AT THE REGISTER. SHE TELLS ME SHE CAUGHT ME ON CAMERA STEALING A COFFEE MUG THE PREVIOUS DAY. I AM A MATURE AFRICAN AMERCIAN 55 YEAR OLD WOMAN AND DON'T STEAL ESPECIALLY A TWO DOLLAR COFFEE. OK SHE PROCEEDS TO HARASS ME AND THEN TOOK MY MONEY TO PAY FOR ANOTHER COFFEE MUG THEN TOLD ME TO NEVER EVER COME IN THE STORE AGAIN.
I WAS IN SHOCK! I LEFT WENT TO WORK AND THEN CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICE . I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD INVESTIGATE THE INCIDENT, BUT I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK FROM THEM. I JUST MOVED FROM NEW YORK TO CARY NC AND I WAS HORRIFIED AT HOW I WAS TREATED. THIS NEEDS TO STOP. NOT ONLY HAS IT AFFECTED MY WAY OF THINKING BUT I REALIZED I CANT ESCAPE THE WAY PEOPLE ARE TREATED BECAUSE OF THE COLOR OF SKIN.

I completely agree with you and understand. I was accused of trying to steal something by a Black woman and my son, myself and my husband go in this very store approx 6-7 days a week for at least coffee and 4-6 days a week for cigarettes and gas. This store is located in Wilmington NC 3805 Carolina Beach Road. I was a VERY VERY loyal customer but no longer as she tried to humiliate me and shame me in front of other customers. I'm sad I will NEVER EVER AGAIN be able to enjoy the coffee there again but it's not worth it the way she treated me & I know she's racist against at least white people. I'm VERY OBVIOUSLY concerned by all of the other complaints about the way white people are treated by the black employees. If I treated black people the way I was treated this morning I know for a fact I would've been fired ASAP! I hope corporate looks into these complaints. Clearly so many people aren't making this up! It's a damn shame in 2017 that THIS STORE allows people to work for them and clearly have no problem with the treatment of their customers. I WAS a loyal customer. I will NEVER EVER AGAIN patronize Circle K stores again! Cherie Sestito Prude of Wilmington NC

I’m posting this comment because I don’t want to see happen to others what happened to me. On 10-7-15 I went on a long hike because it was nice outside before going to the gym. I the circle k store on 602 N 1rst Ave in central phoenix to make a debit card purchase. There is this short black women curly hair I believe her name is Davette who works there. I left my bag up front like you should and made my purchase. I forgot my bag so I went back to get it because I forget sometimes and that maybe due to my learning disabilities. The next morning I went into the store when she said hey you twice. I’m hearing impaired so I did not hear her. The third time I looked up and she snapped in a very loud voice you heard me GET OUT!. I asked why and she said don’t ask stupid you heard me GET OUT so and so saw you take something. I started to say I had a receipt for my purchase but she screamed GET OUT NOW! Other times I went into the store I would talk loud because I’m hearing impaired and that is what I do because I can’t hear too well and at times have to use sign language. It was clear she could not handle that, had an issue and had to find some way to get me out of there. On occasions also I when I saw homeless disabled people walk in and homeless disabled people in wheel chairs go in to pay for something she would walk over and tell them to leave because they smelled. These people clearly had no way of doing laundry because they we’re homeless and that is to be expected. They cannot help it. They wash clothes when they can. The way this women treated me and others is clearly a violation of the ADA and American Civil Liberties rights. This women has to be stopped or others may suffer.

I have been working at a circle k in arizona for 3 years now and its been a good job so far but man I think I'm going to go postal one day, lol. There always has to be idiot customers. I get tired of picking up after people, Im not your damn mother people! Spilling soda everywhere!?!?! Really, is this how you act at home. Then you always have your lovely meth heads asking if we sell the cigars in the "glass tube" No ###ers we don't sell crack pipes, so quit asking. Truth is we do sell those cigars in the glass pipes but I always hide them. LOL! For the most part I work 2pm-10pm alone! because we have bad management but thier is no use in complaning. It gets annoying when i can't even go to the damn restroom! And when the store is finally empty for a couple minutes i get to go, after i get out i usually hear someone yeling "hello, hello!" Im in the goddamn restroom for christ sake. Can't a girl go to the restroom in peace.

I no longer care what you have to say. The cashier at the Circle K on the corner of Miller and McKellips in Scottsdale AZ is nothing but an ignorant ###. I have a nuero-muscular disability and cannot always lift or stretch out my arms to take things from the counter and have asked her toplace it forward on the counter and have tried to explain that I have a muscle disorder and I cannot reach out. All I got was a dirty nasty look and an attitude. She says, Ya, we all have problems don't we?

I've been working for the company now for almost 2 months and out of all the retail jobs I've ever worked for Circle K is a nightmare. Never in my life have I ever been treated with such disrespect in my life not only from the customers but half the time the other employees I work with as well. I must say thought, getting death threats from thugs and degenerates all day because you "carded" them or you had to card him and his buddies. I really can't wait to get shot in the face for 8.50 and hour. Not only that but working and 8 hour shift by yourself with NO BREAKS ever is really taxing on the body, especially when your the only one working that 8 hour shift. Working for 2 to 10 is prolly the scrariest because now one is there to help you if you get mugged or stabbed or shot, yet your expected to be the sheriff then the boss is away, it's crap and I don't understand why I always have to deal with this [censor] and not my manager who I see maybe once every two weeks.

What gets me the most is how I clean up after everyone, I pick up all the straw wrappers off the counter even though the trash can is 5 inchs away, I get to clean up split soda from all over the floor and my register counter. And here I am Thanking them for shopping with us.

Here's another thing. People buying junk food and soda with food stamps. I live in a [censor] part of Phoenix so it's good to see my tax dollars being very well spent on crap that could be spent on canned goods, milk...you know...food. Not hotdogs and chips and slim jims and donuts.

The breaking change for people is [censor]ing rediculous. Like everyone else, WHERE NOT A BANK!

Last but not least. Get those [censor]ing "ZapLink" machines out of our stores. They never take new bills...EVER! I constantly have to open my drawer (no sale) just to give them old bills. It's [censor]ing stupid, on the one hand the MM dont want us opening the registers all the time, but guess what everyone need new bills for that requires a open drawer "ZAPLINK!" Yay! the one thing that makes no money in the store is actually getting us canned one by one! w00t!

Circle K is not a safe or friendly environment to work in, it's dangerous and it's lonely and when you have cholos all tatted up and mob's of angry black people...oh and don't for get the crackhead hillybillies as well threatening to kill you or fight you for no reason other than to make them selfs look tough.

This job sucks. It's not worth your life and it certainly isn't worth 8.50 and hour to work 40 hours a week. I don't care how [censor] this economy is I will never work for this company ever again.

i wont do this either. i bet half of the gas stations around wont. we do get fired if too much moneys missing when we are robbed. i also have to deal with alot of [censor] that i shouldn't when i'm at work. for instance, just today, i had a guy come in and throw a 50 at me screaming because i couldn't see his license plate (i couldn't see his plate because i was cleaning up piss and [censor] in the mens bathroom because someone probably thought it was funny), i had to deal with rude and perverted customers comments, i had to deal with being treated like a bank(standing by the safe for 10 minutes waiting for the timer because someones daddy gave them a 100 and they didn't know how to walk in to a bank), and by the way, i am a manager and we too get sick of this. i had a guy the other day buy a lottery ticket. he said he forgot it on the counter and expected me to replace it. people, dont you realize that these are counted like money!? come on. i'm so sick of this.

I have been employed at Circle K for a little under 2 years now. About 8 months ago I became victim to a short change artist. He got me for $150.00. Seems crazy. I never understood how people could just let money go like that until it happened to me. Our market manager wanted me fired but my boss stood up for me. The only thing that saved my job was the fact that the US Bank across the street from us was hit by the same man for another $300.00. However in order to please out MM I was to be wrote up for policy violations. 1) Having to much money in my drawer. 2) Following him outside and off camera once I realized what happened. and 3)FOR MAKING CHANGE!

So yes, I was nearly fired for being robbed. This is why I am hesitant of opening my drawer for every person that walks in, & this is why I don't do it. You shouldn't see it as a personal attack. It is for our own safety. Try going into another convenience store, or even a fast food restaurant... you will find the same policies among them all. While I do try to keep my cool with all of my customers I have gotten to the point with the irate ones who scream at me bloody murder over things I can not control... if you have such a low opinnion of the location you are talking about stop going. What good is it doing you to walk away angry every day?

I'm appalled at the number of petty complaints I've heard from customers. Do you not have anything better to do? I work at Circle K. There are plenty of reasons why we do NOT open the drawer for every Tom, Dick and Harry who wants change. We're not a bank and we're constantly under scrutiny by the cameras. The managers always want to know WHY we are opening the drawer. Not to mention the fact that we only have a limited amount of change for the night and when that is gone, we're screwed and so are the other PAYING customers when we have to turn them away for our inability to change a twenty dollar bill.

If you purchase an item, we have no choice but to give you change but don't ask us to make change for a 63 cent polar pop with a $50 bill. It's not going to happen. We are only allowed to keep a maximum of $30 dollars in our drawer at any given time or we get fired. The economy is crappy enough. I'll be darned if I'm going to lose my job for the likes of you.

I am currently employed at circle k, and have been for the past several months. I am not necessarily working in the worst location considering, I live in a community of approximately 250, 000 people. However, I quite frequently receive death threats from customers for no reason. I have also been called "White boy", on numerous occasions. If you want to talk about racism then, yes, there is plenty of it at circle k. Also, I would like to address the notion we are "Racist" at circle k because we card you one hour and not the next. This issue is a misunderstood procedure on your behalf. The reason we card individuals is because there are uncover police stings. If we are caught selling tobacco or alcohol to a minor we are terminated without question, receive a hefty court fine ($500.00), receive a criminal charge, and do not receive our last week's check. On top of that, we would be lucky if we had a chance of being hired on to a similar position for a different company. So maybe the employee you encountered already knew you were of the legal age and figured she didn't have to worry about losing her job for not carding you an hour later when you returned.

p.s.
Do you have anything better to do than to go into a circle k store a dozen times a night? How do you expect for us to get any of our cleaning done? I bet you complain to corporate about the unkempt appearance of our store, huh? Oh, well. I guess that's life. Do you piss on our toilet seats after we clean the bathroom, too? You don't know the first thing about what we have to put up with on the other side of that counter. So please, try to put yourselves in our shoes before you make any quick and sudden judgments.

After school a friend and I wanted to go inside the Circle K and buy some snacks to eat. Before we could even drop our bags off the cashier screams at us and threatens to call the cops because she didn't want any students in there. She wasn't even a manager, and is also going to loose a ton of profits off of this decision. She didn't even give us a justified reason to kick us off the property. I'm sure two thirsty 15 year olds are really going to do damage buys a few cokes.

I work at a circle k store too. We just flat out refuse to take $100 bills unless they are buying $50 or more worth of stuff. I don't understand why people think we are a bank. And if they get upset and snotty, that is THEIR problem, not mine. (kinda makes me laugh anyway) Another prob is when cust are on their cell. I just wait to serve them when they are finished. It is extremly rude to not at least say hello! So I just move on until THEY are ready.

I work here and most the times its a customer in a taxi, that does not have enough since to know before they get in they need change. We are not a bank and it does not help when we are told to only keep 50.00 in ours drawers for our safety. That we are the ones rude for not having unlimetd change for the the idiots that have no sense to carry the proper change they may need to pay their taxi.

absolutely, one_with_shadows. seriously, have any of you put yourselves in the employees shoes? I work at the busiest store in my town, and there are times I LITERALLY can't brake a bill because I'm constantly get big bills and people asking for change... when there's a bank right across the street that's allowed to have more than 50/35 bucks in their draws. What's rude is when I have to turn someone down to brake a bill for them (apologize even) and they turn around and grab a 35 cent gum to brake a 100 bill (usually throwing the product at me). That's really inconsiderate and it happens all the time. I'm a very nice person and I try my best to be kind and helpful, but I can't even begin to express how rude a good portion of customers can be.

'Apparently she must be real close to the boss...' Wow, talk about defecation of character. I see no reason for you to try and get her fired in your complaint, but I see a lot of name calling coming from you. Is that the way to be the bigger person?

Final thought; you may be paying customers but that doesn't give you the right to treat employees like their trash. In case you didn't notice, we're human beings too.

I have worked for Circle K for more than two years now. I can honestly say, change for a $5 bill isn't that much to ask for. However, when we have multiple "open drawers" it makes us look suspect. We don't like opening the drawer unless you buy something for that very reason. Personally I would have no problem breaking a $5, but typically its people wanting change for 20s or 50s. Dealing with it for so long, I have to say that is one of the more annoying things. I have to keep my drawer at $50 or less, $35 or less at night. When I get a day like Thursday, Friday, or Saturdays when I get $20 bills all day long it really sucks when someone gets an attitude with me when I tell them they have to buy something to break a $20 (because I honestly don't want to make change for someone who doesn't want to buy something, which in turn makes paying customers wait due to me being out of change)

So, the next time a Circle K employee doesn't want to give you change...but does when you buy something, keep in mind that the economy sucks and a lot of us are interested in keeping our crappy jobs. Personally, my district manager has nothing better to do than watch store cameras to try and find a reason to [censored]can anyone "stealing."

I'm a handicap 46 yr woman that was Brutalized by police on the 12 of September. Falsely arrested over a cup of coffe at circle k. Which the attending supervisor was the one that insited the quarrel walking into a conversation misunderstanding what I said n I wasn't even the one complaining. Police brutality in Port Saint Lucie has to stop. N the sad part was that I had 8 spasm attacks between getting arrested n at the county jail and did nothing to aid me! I'm suing circle k, the police department and the county jail! All which is on video! From the store to the dash cam to the county jail. The treatment was worse there by white officers n the nursing staff in initial intake! This is all so sad I feel voilated n disrespected felt like I was treated like an animal. They had no charges so they trumped up charges! I have never been in trouble with the law I'm a military spouse my husband currently serving this great nation for 20yrs had to help me from across the world to bond me out so I can immediately go to the hospital for emergency care! I am disabled I have degeneration of the spine 7 herniated disks, osteoarthritis in my hands knees and lower lumber abd wrist. I couldn't resist arrest even if I wanted! My body wouldn't allow me, n they thought I was resisting them n I kept screaming on the top of my lungs I'm disable please stop your hurting, but that only made them slam me harder into thier vehicle n dig his whole forearm into my face n neck, blood shotting my eyes from the pressure applied they kept saying I was screaming at them yes your violating all of my constitutional rights n I'm partial def I can not hear myself speak so I tend to talk louder because I can't hear myself speaking! It was all so unprofessional n disheartening because aren't police suppose to defuse a situation not escalate it? Aren't they suppose to hear both sides? Never mind that I've been going to this circle k fir 3 yrs almost 4 everyone there knows me by name. Jackie they call it's my nickname n I have never been IRRATE or disrespectful to any of them at anytime instead very helpful, if you look back in their video history you will see I come in every day to that store n always leave them laughing with a smile a very loyal customer, n just like that the supervisor Kim whom by the way every morning reeks of liquor came in an assumed I was the one complaining when it was other customers in the store n I was coming to their defense saying they new n working on getting better, n the manger Christina was behind the register, suddenly became quiet n Kim accused me of bad mouthing her employees n literally told me to get the [censored] out the store Christina stood there n allowed all of this to go down knowing the truth she was afraid of speaking up and losing her job! I have texts which she dared to send me, as if I'm suppose to understand that there was nothing she could do! Had she told the truth none of this would have happened I have photos videos n medical reports of the contusion to my right wrist n spine! All because another customer said the coffe had been bad in the last few days! I go to jail! N even if I did voice my opinion am not suppose to speak to a manger and supervisor n bring that to their attention? If not them, then who? And again I wasn't even complaining which makes all this so sad I was actually defending them n Kim walked into a conversation under assumption without facts n called the cops on me over that! This same store has targeted many people almost every week out this same store police Harassed customers just sitting in front of store in their vehicles. Police are suppose to protect n serve us tax paying citizen n not guarding n protecting just business in the community they suppose to give someone an opportunity to speak n say what they need to say as much as the complaining party both sides of the story, not just accuse me assume me guilty n now I must prove my innocence none of this warrant it an arrest which lead to an illegal search n seizure of my property in which they found 0.04 gram of marijuana which I have a medical marijuana card and I'm disabled, here a the trump charges resisting arrest with no violence!
N Possesion of less than 20 grams. Now how can I resist if I never got to even move, and what happened to supposedly get the resisting arrest oh I know yeah wasn't they called because I was asked to leave the store which became trespassing, now how can you trespass in a business that you were initially conducting business in? I'm a military spouse that's handicap I did not deserve to be so highly disrespected by the store, by the police or the correctional facility! Justice is blind, n it isn't fir the black civilian kind!

I live in Ohio and the store I frequent has a lot of great employees, I will say. However, there is one that is a real jerk. She is tall and rangy and snaggletoothed and talks down to customers as if she is better than them. In fact, I have been told by other employees that they field her complaints and regularly hide them, and that when complaints have reached management, nothing is done about them. Apparently she must be real close to the boss...
