Chipotle Mexican Grill Disappointing Experience with Chipotle: Empty Bowls and Mystery Meat

So, we decided to give Chipotle a try for our Mexican food craving. We ordered two burrito bowls with standard beans, rice, and toppings for delivery. The price was a bit steep at $30, but we were willing to pay for quality food. However, when we received our order, we were disappointed to find that it didn't look anything like it did on the menu.

To make matters worse, there were only two "bowls" in the bag and two plastic forks. No napkins, no nothing. We were at home, so we had napkins and real silverware, but it was still a bit of a letdown. Then, we opened each bowl and found that there was nothing in either bowl except for a few ounces of mystery meat smeared in the bottom of each bowl. It smelled okay, but it looked like dog food. Even our cat, who was lured by the smell, took one look and jumped back down.

We were so disappointed that my husband filed for a refund. He's going to try to salvage the situation by turning it into nachos, but I'm not holding my breath. We have all the necessary sauces and ingredients, but I'm starting to think that my offer of freshly-roasted chicken thighs wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Overall, our experience with Chipotle was a huge disappointment. We were expecting quality food for the price we paid, but instead, we received two empty bowls with a few ounces of mystery meat. We won't be ordering from Chipotle again anytime soon.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Terrible Experience with Chipotle: Order Not Found, Rude Staff, Useless Customer Service

So, I called up Chipotle at their number ***645 to place an order for pickup from their Toms River, NJ location at 1258 Hooper Ave. I put in my order and paid for it with my credit card. But when I got to the restaurant, they said they didn't have my order and were super rude about it. They wouldn't even listen to me! I checked my credit card and saw that they charged me $30.07 for the order, even though they didn't have it. The people working there didn't seem to care at all. I tried to get help from their customer service system, PEPPER, but that thing is useless. It's just a computer and doesn't actually help you with anything. I couldn't even get in touch with a real person! I even tried calling the restaurant again, but they just put me on hold forever and then disconnected me. I went to this restaurant because they were doing a fundraiser for my grandchild's school, Silver Bay school in Toms River. But now I'm going to make sure that every school in the area knows not to trust this place. I'll even report them to the BBB. Based on my experience, this seems to be how Chipotle operates.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Disappointing Experience at Chipotle: Stale Chips, Overcharging, and Unsanitary Practices

I recently visited Chipotle and unfortunately, my experience was not great. The chips that I ordered were stale and unappetizing. To make matters worse, I decided to order two sides of rice, but was shocked to find out that they charged me $1 for just two teaspoons of rice in a tiny plastic cup. The same thing happened when I ordered a side of chicken for $2.65, which was also just two teaspoons of chicken. I understand that it's just rice and chicken, but come on, it's not gold!

To make matters worse, when I received my bill, I realized that I was overcharged $8.59. When I called to complain, they told me that I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to get my money back. I was so frustrated that I decided to just let it go and never return to that crap hole again. It's clear that the owner is more interested in building a fancy new building than in treating their customers fairly.

To add insult to injury, the manager, a tall, skinny, long-haired guy, wiped his snot on his hand while serving food. I mean, come on, use a tissue! Thank goodness he didn't touch my food. And to make matters worse, when he thought no one was looking, he did a head check and picked his butt crack. Ewww, gross!

If you're looking for a better Mexican food experience, I suggest going to Qdoba Mexican Grill instead. The owner of Chipotle can save their breath and stop ripping people off with those tiny ketchup and mustard condiment plastic cups and calling them side cups. It's a scam and they're con artists. I will never go back to Chipotle again.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Chipotle's Redding, CA Location Puts Chicken in Vegetarian Burrito, Staff Dismissive of Customer's Health Concerns

I went to Chipotle in Redding, CA and ordered a vegetarian burrito for my fianc?. Unfortunately, the staff put chicken in it, which made my fianc? very sick. She has been a vegetarian for 25 years and cannot digest meat. She had to vomit and had diarrhea for about 12 hours. It was a terrible experience for her, and I was very worried about her health.

When I tried to call the store to let them know about their mistake, it was very difficult to get through to anyone. I had to call continuously for 20 minutes before I finally got through to Catherine, the manager. Catherine did not seem to care about what happened and even made a joke about it. She said, "Oh, so your fianc? ate chicken when she wanted tofu?" in a rude and condescending tone.

I also tried to contact Raina, the customer support, but she did not return my messages or emails. I was very concerned about the mistake because it could be fatal for people with certain food allergies. When I finally got through to Raina, she was dismissive and had the same rude attitude as Catherine. They did not show any remorse or concern for what happened.

I heard that Chipotle had a problem with food poisoning before, and it seems like they do not care about their customers' health. It is very disappointing to see a company that does not take responsibility for their mistakes. I hope they will take this seriously and make sure it does not happen again in the future.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Management

I applied for a job at Chipotle and they reached out to give me an interview. When I went in for the interview, the manager wasn't even there and a random employee "interviewed" me. I didn't even get their name! They basically only asked me when my availability was, to which I replied I had open availability. Then they had me leave. It was a huge waste of time, and the manager did not even have the decency to even meet with me despite scheduling the interview for the exact time I showed up for it. It would have saved me a lot of time and energy if they just did not contact me after receiving my application. I don't even think I could call it an interview. Super unprofessional.

Desired outcome: Do better with your management. Don't waste applicants time. Hold your staff accountable. Don't schedule an interview if you are not going to show up for it.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Stanley Cup promo 5/23/23

I received a text from a friend about a BOGO promo today 5/23/23, for the Stanley Cup playoffs. It had a link for "PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS", that did not work. chipo. tl/IHA8qlTw

I looked online for "PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS" and found no information.
I called an 800 number I found, they didn't know anything.
I called a store (not easy to find that number, and it wasn't a store near me), but the girl didn't know anything about the promo, but assured me that "All the stores are participating".
In the end I couldn't find any participating stores in the Santa Clara/ San Jose area, so I will go to Rubio's. They seem to want my business.

Desired outcome: Someone should test your links, Chipotle should have an 800 number where they have current information, your website should give store contact info. . .

Chipotle Mexican Grill About the work environment

Disappointed in team "Chipotle" working in a store where the boss has his favorites and makes it known to the point of affecting all my coworkers. I thought the company was strict with these types of relationships but they really aren't. I'm disappointed. How can I be a good teammate when there is obvious favoritism from our boss to the favorite? The relationships they have outside of work is very obvious as they bring it to work the closeness and how it makes you feel that you are not right but they are right because the boss and some of his management have a close friendship. How to do a good job? If they don't see it.

4/10/2023 I wait to your chipotle and was so nasty 🤢 the floor had trash on it the table wasn’t clean and they had dirty dishes on the counter and the young lady was cutting meat near the dirty dishes and your sever don’t clean off were they get beans and rice etc and young was cooking food bye dirty thing I was going to put you on Facebook and Instagram and Twitter you need to take them back to class because some one is going to get salmonellae poisoning. Chipotle Mexican Grill Rewards and food

950 Milwaukee AVE A, Lincolnshire, IL 60069. This place is hit or miss, Mostly miss. The food is cold and the rice is clumped together. I ordered a vegan bowl. I've never been so frustrating eating Chipotle in my life. a spoon of sofrita, a spoon of corn. 5 strands of lettuce and 6 strands of cheese with a whole bunch of crap [censored] white rice clumped together. I also had over 400 pts taken and no guac and chips. I tried to speak to pepper and was disconnected twice. Now I will write corporate and yelp. Til I get my due justice. Chipotle will close down if they keep making crap [censored] bowls and become the joke of fast food. Come get it together.

Desired outcome: Give me back my points and get better on fixing bowls at this location.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Overcharge

I just went to chipotle on 1608 Cortez rd Bradenton fl 34207 ordering six small kids quesadillas with only cheese they charged me $26.70 which I know that is not possible they were very rude. I had my kids with me I had to leave there was no managers around that could help me. I don’t know what else to do. I had to go because nobody was able to help me and it’s unbelievable to get charge that much for the little quesadillas.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Portion Serving and following Recipe

I have always loved Chipotle, but something has changed with what is provided to the customer. Rice lacks the lime juice and salt. Corn salsa has something in it that makes it incredibly hot. When I asked for extra sour cream, I barely got a regular portion serving. Quacamole is something I know I pay for, yet when I ask for it, they barely serve it up. Chips were cold, not warm and had no salt or lime juice on them. Food wasn't necessarily warm either. Things have changed a lot, including the price. But that's ok because I don't mind paying for good food. What I hate is paying more for food that I used to get, less of it, and less customer service. It discourages me from wanting to go back.

Desired outcome: That you find out what is going on in your franchises and that you make some changes.

Both orders were wrong. Gregory's burrito bowl was supposed to be black beans. Naja's burrito bowl was supposed to be pinto beans. The black beans were mixed with the pinto beans. The meat was extremely salty. Naja's bowl should've had brown rice but she received white rice. We paid $2.70 for about 2 to 3 teaspoonfuls (insufficient) guacamole. Naja...

Chipotle Mexican Grill Food that was ordered on Friday 12/25/22

On Friday 12/23/22, I ordered my family Chipotle through Door Dash. My order came fast, and the food initially was satisfying, until my stomach started bubbling and I felt intense pain. I put the food to the side and laid on the couch with pain and gas. I then ran to the bathroom and experienced the worst diarrhea and vomiting I have ever been through. I later could hear my fiancé on the second floor throwing up her meal, and she too, had really bad diarrhea. Our toddler was feed a small bit of burrito, and yes, she was throwing up and had diarrhea all night and for the next 2 days. There is no doubt Chipotle food caused this. I had to miss a whole shift of work the next morning for something that was not even my fault.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a refund, apology, and lost wages of 8 hours x $66hr

Chipotle Mexican Grill New Garlic Steak

I purchased a GG Steak Burrito on Tuesday, Dec 6, 2022 at 4:30 pm at your location at 2025 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica Ca 90403. The steak was not as advertised. It was not tender. It was hard to chew. I love approx 5 miles from your location and was going to eat it when I arrived home, but to my dismay, I didn’t! I am writing to either get a refund for the burrito ($12.60 + tax, I paid a total of $16.81 because I also got guacamole) or another burrito that isn’t steak. Please advise. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Wrong order

I visited the Saint Paul, MN Chipolte on Grand Avenue last evening. My order was for two steak burritos and two chicken bowls. After getting home I ended up getting two pork burritos, one vegan bowl, and one chicken bowl. ONLY one item was correct. With only 7 people in line on a Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. it should not have taken me 30 minutes to get to order. The three employees were only handling online orders and not helping ANY of the 7 people before me. What happened to taking care of the people in the lobby waiting to order? And on top of that I got someone else's food. No one in my family eats pork so we ended up throwing the whole thing out. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We eat there a lot and usually there are no problems.

Desired outcome: I want to be reimbursed for this whole order. It was $41!

Chipotle Mexican Grill Wrong order, management was rude and abrupt.

My daughter ordered through door dash, so I don't know if they are the problem, or its with Chipolte. We have usually had no problems in the past at the restaurant.Most of the time the staff is pleasant and accomodating.

Steak bowl had no rice, just meat and cheese. forgot the corn, and sour cream. Went back to actual store on Cross Keys Blvd, in Sickerville, New Jersey. The manager practically threw a cup of rice at me. Still not make it right. Forgot the other things I asked for. Was rude and did not want to just make the right bowl. The manager seemed annoyed with the whole thing. I definitely will never use door dash again, or this location. Rudeness is never acceptable in customer service.. Happened today 11/11/2022 at like 12 pm. with delivery.
