I am so discusted with cartoon network, I watched scooby doo as a kid watching it on cartoon network is like watching smut. Daphne and Fred are out right with sexual inuendos, Velma is making out with shaggy (WHAT) and nothing seems to be changing, I am a mom and refuse to allow my son to watch this. What happened to good old fashioned cartoons, where the cat chases the mouse, but the mouse always gets away, or where Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby were just a mystery solving gang, and not an inappropriate orgy waiting to happen. I am So peeved and cant believe that this is happening and that more people are not complaining to change this. These Big companys that used to provide kids with education and fun, are now making sex there #1 job to sell. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, My child and no other child should be subjected to such discusting filth just to earn a buck...

I feel an addendum to my last comment is necessary in response to the queen basher's assertion that people who reject homosexuality are small minded. That is a shallow, specious contention. If one has examined the issue from all possible angles and finds that it still cannot be reconciled to one's principles that is not small minded. That is a rational, intellligent, responsible, broad minded approach to an issue.

The FBI's and American Psychiatric Association's statistics on homosexual child molestation is staggering. The question I would pose is what use does homosexuality serve? We know the uses for heterosexuality, but I am honestly stumped to think of one use for homosexuality.

Heath pay these trolls no attention. The only way they can feel good about themselves is by putting you down. They have such small llives.

Your sex preference is no one's bsiniess. I do not know the last time a gay male molested any children.

This is why YOU as the parent makes the decisions on what your children watch.

I'm not a parent, but I'm an uncle to a 4 and 6 yr. old. I watch them after school for most of the week. After homework they can sometimes watch T.V. Well my girlfriend watched that "adventure time" show with them and we quickly turned it off. The trash that they were saying was unbelievable! Now I have to tell them, no more cartoon network. You would think CARTOON network would be fine for kids to watch with no problems. I'm not over protective or up tight. It's just trash!

Now I know why there's nothing good on television for kids anymore! The shows are COMPLETE GARBAGE! I can do better than that! We ALL can do better than the garbage they put on television now!
I liked Cartoon Network, and as time passed, things changed; some changes were good...others were bad.
Ever since the airing of the T.V. show, "MAD", Cartoon Network, ugh, just turned into something completely different. They removed almost ALL of the classic shows, like "Courage the Cowardly Dog(which, in my opinion, is better than present-day Spongebob)", "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy", and "Ed, Edd, and Eddy." I liked all of those shows (okay, Billy and Mandy: not so much) and wanted to watch the reruns everyday. But them shows like "Regular Show" and "Adventure Time" (which, by the way, sometimes DON"T EVEN RUN FOR 30 MINUTES) started taking over the T.V. schedule. And the classics? Guess what?
They're gone! No reruns, no nothing! And those hero and anime shows (like Pokemon) have been limited to NIGHTS AND MORNINGS! They even ruined old shows, like "Scooby-Doo" and the "Looney Tunes"(but they do show the originals)! I don't even recognize them anymore! All the Looney Tunes look different! I had no choice but to watch the old shows. After 6 months wasting my life watching garbage, I decided to stop watching television all day and spend more time on the computer. Cartoon Network has become very inappropriate, sexist, stupid, senseless, weird, and fast-paced(mostly "MAD")! What are they thinking?! An as an act of being stupid, they discriminate themselves!
I've spoken with real people. They ALL said the same thing. "Cartoon Network is so stupid." "What has happened to Cartoon Network?!" "I miss the classics!" They're really trying to attract a different audience by replicating shows like "Family Guy" while they call themselves a kids channel. Really? A kids channel with PG-13 rated shows?! I've even seen "Looney Tunes: PG-13"! They're ruining everything! They even ran a marathon called "Cartoon Network Gone Mad". I think that should be called "Cartoon Network Gone Bad"! I insist you watch the leftover 3rd party programs, like "Pokemon." At least they haven't been "Cartoon-Network-ified"! And the transitions? They vary from STUPID TO ANNOYING!
Look, I'm not saying that you or your kids shouldn't watch Cartoon Network because it is inappropriate(which, by the way, is).
I'm saying that you and your kids shouldn't waste time watching stupid shows. and that...
EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN EXISTENCE SHOULD NEVER WATCH THE GARBAGE-FILLED CARTOON NETWORK BECAUSE MAD RUINED IT!

THE END!

It's very sad that Cartoon Network is teaching our children how to date, get married, how to break up. What happened? This is vry disappointing. I just told my 5 year old son that Cartoon Network cannot be watched in our household anymore. It's truly a shame.

I don't have any kids but I've been a huge cartoon fan my whole life. I'm twenty one now and collect the old cartoon network shows so I can say Cartoon Network has always had sexual content in it's cartoons but it was much to subtle for children to understand. (usually a quick sexual comment or a funny gesture) Now, they have cartoons who's heads are shaped like male genitalia horrific sexual gestures and openly sexual conversations and references. Johnny Bravo, a cartoon about an adult man who lives with his mom and is trying to get laid, was a lot less inappropriate then shows like chowder and that's really saying something. In short I agree with the parents, Cartoon Network should not have such inappropriate content on while it's still called a kids channel.

Wow, i knew some parents were over protective but this is pushing it.. When a mother complains about Adventure Time when the show itself is nothing but rainbows and skittles theres something wrong.

Seriously, loosen up, your kids aren't going to turn into punks by watching daphne in a skirt.. because chances are they are going to see much worse out on the streets anyway, you need to let your children see the world the way it is instead of putting your hand over their eyes.. let them get exposed to it but teach them why its wrong, otherwise they are just going to turn into sheltered little momma's boys that will soak up smut in middle school like a sponge, do you know why? because its new to them and they get curious, if its nothing new and they know whats wrong about it, chances are they aren't going to associate with those kids.

I agree~I saw the "new" Scooby Doo just a week ago where Daphne was in a band and wearing a skimpy outfit. C'mon if it's "just" a cartoon then why portray them to look so sexual. These cartoons are one during the day when kids are home from school~there is NO reason they have to be so explicit. Sure, times are changing and I am about as open-minded as they come, but my 7 & 4 years olds don't need to see and hear inappropriate things. Kids grow up too fast in today's world, we should be doing what we can to keep them young for as long as we can. By the way, Cartoon Network could also do away with that disgusting "Adventure Time" show~I allowed my son to watch it yesterday and there was a vampire whose head turned round, I kid you not it looked like a large vagina with sperm underneath it. What kind of sickos come up with this stuff when they know small children might be watching~not in our house anymore~we're boycotting CN until they clean their act up and keep those shows for the Adult Swim, which should be from 9pm to 6am.
