Cartoon Network review: inappropriate cartoons for kids 96

It bothers me that you don't even have to wait until late night to see smut on television. My oldest child is 18 (not a child anymore) but we used to watch cartoon network all of the time. I liked it better when they didn't see the need to put Adult Swim on the network at night. Even though kids aren't usually up late enough to see this stuff, sometimes things happen and kids do see this stuff. A network called CARTOON network is playing shows (not even cartoons sometimes) that are so horrible and disturbing that even adults shouldn't watch it. They play absurd crap even before adult swim. What is this network thinking? This stuff should have a network of it's own. A paid network that doesn't have the word "cartoon" in it. That attracts kids. DON'T attract kids to this crap. Yeah, my kids will be learning things such as sex as they grow but I don't need some network twisting it up and making it confusing. I have and will teach them the way it needs to be taught, tastefully and truthfully. I, and I know many others, refuse to watch this network anymore. I hope their network fails miserably.

When my child was young on Cartoon Network, The TV shows were wonderful. Dexter, Alvin and the chipmunks, POWERPUFF GIRLS, Fosters home for imaginary friends and lots more!...But now, Cartoon Network shows horrible Shows. The only on i think is "ok" Is Adventure Time. I want the old shows back. People Sit and wonder why people are shooting people? Well look around because kids are playing violence shooting games and stupid shows like these wont help at all! Yes, help bullying stop! Yes, its not your job to teach our kids to stay away from guns but for the love of god, JUST SHOW BETTER TV SHOWS.

Cartoon Network is a "CARTOON NETWORK" not a "family network" or a "kids network." There seems to be this stereotype in the U.S. and most western society that cartoons or any form of animation is only meant to appeal to children. This was never true. Cartoon Network appeals to everyone who like animation. Both young and old. The less serious and graphic shows are aired during the day while the more graphic and mature content in the evening and late night. They follow the same practices that any other network does. Just like any live action television program parents should supervise and pay attention to the content in cartoons as well. If you want you young ones to view cartoons that only appeal to young children and are only rated Y or Y7 then go to a kids/family network such as Nickelodeon or Disney.

Cartoon Network used to show fun retro programs. I enjoyed being exposed to the generations that came before me. There were fun shows, including the Snorks, the Smurfs, and Clue Club. A lot of shows are Cartoon Network are becoming more inappropriate for children. I'm glad I was born in the 80s. Let's turn back the clock when it comes to TV programs.

Hello, I am a Junior in high school, and I am currently doing a speech for my schools competative speech team about this issue. I am STRONGLY in agreement with you, please post some inappropriate quotes from these shows. Once I finish the speech, I'm taking it to the white house. The media (TV and MUSIC) either needs to be censored, or the kids shows should be marketed to adults. Please help!

No seriously Cartoon Network. Why do you have Harry Hills TV blurp or burp...or whatever its called on at 12 in the afternoon? Further more why is it on in the first place? HEY HEY HEY! people come on, if you have cartoon network as a channel, then chances are that you also have the other animated channels provided by cable or satellite providers. Every show is not for every child, age, so on and so forth. so do what you do when the 700 club goes off, go channel surfing you dummies! something is bound to spark your interests on Boomerang, Nick, Nick jr, Disney, Sprout, PBS, Discovery Kids, i mean damn, exercise your freedom to click, because its people like you complaining that cuts creativity off at the knees. let the networks continue to show what they show, and be thankful that the less discrete shows air at a time when your little ones should be sleeping. btw, adventure time and regular show gives me cramps from laughing so hard that i cry. I miss space ghost coast to coast though, and i hope that cartoon network remains undeterred. Shows like ren and stimpy and rocko's modern life slipped through the cracks for years and imprinted itself on young impressionable minds, and now they have grown up to be successful functioning members of society. On Cartoon network some shows aren't even cartoons! So i was walking into my sons room and he was Watching Something and i asked him what he was watching he said Regular Show and then the blue bird said the word Pissed and i told him to turn the television off. Also the sweet 16 show and total drama were Bad

in all these cartoons these days their are subliminal message, most of the time usually children are the ones who watch cartoons n wat they see they learn, picking up memory of the images and listening to whatever the characters say, n alot of what they show n say (i know because ive watched for years) whether the message is oppenly known or hidden silently ur child will pick and will remember even if they forget about it, instead of learning something mentally or physically productive most of all the kids in America sometime during the day watch televison, ### to the mind televison that slowly through out the years of watching it has accomidated people with weird and innapropiate events for the new world of today, disney channel, nickelodeon, cartoonnetwork, all show subliminal messages to little kids.. little kidss n the makers know that kids are going to watch, at such young ages, n also ive noticed little kids frequently acting lik certain cartoon characters n making stupid comments n such, due to what they hav learned watching these idiodic programs, ive seen little girls talking about boyfriends n makeup n also havin grown woman talks at very young ages also due to some programs on television and maybe even home learned, theirs alot of devilish demonic comments and motion pictures on adventure for example, also house of anubis has alot of subliminal messages and they always present the eye of wisdom which is on the one dollar bill, in spongebob several times ive seen the pyramid with the eye which is on the dollarbill n has a symbolic historical message n deffinately was not an accident in spongebob, theirs so much i can say but dnt hav time, i dnt hav kids im only 18, n i wud deffinetly advise parents to supervise, control the timing, or not hav my kids what these program which is wat i wud do with child, i am not lying watch n listen yourself, listen carefully..
