I may consider having DirecTV remove Cartoon Network from the channel line-up immediately because I really want girlzChannel to return peacefully as a good alternative much to the shows parents want on that channel: the Barbie film series, Full House, The Brady Bunch Movie, Clueless, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, etc.

All the new shows are garbage! My annoyance comes from them canceling The Regular Show. This cartoon was very funny and worth watching! It came on adult swim because it's a little scary for the kids sometimes. With random monsters and all. Why takes off the best cartoon and they keep Uncle Grandpa incest cartoon, Chowder, and Adventure Time. Those cartoons are awful and gross! I wish Cartoon Network would listen to the people and change some things and bring back The Regular Show!

I read most of these comments an honestly, who [censor]en cares how they dress. If they promote nudity, discrimination towards a specific group based on a vendetta then yeah take that [censor] down. But profanity, the way they dress, the way they act. Honestly promoting way too much hate =.= and you're just harboring your child from today's social ideals. These peoplw are upset that theyre seeing a characters head as something sexual.. Theyre upset that a girl is wearing a skirt and there are romances. But they find it JUST FINE for their child to watch something with so much violence. Its not teachung your kids how to date oh my lord, its showing them what consent means, not showing them that their child should go around hurting others. No woneder so many murders and rapes are happening its because these stuck up parents who never want their child to leave their arms are upset that their child is seeing two characters kiss or seeing a girl characters legs. But no they'd much rather their child see a mouse torture a poor cat. If they dont like that these shows are showing kids what the real life is like which may I say is rejection which adventure time shows kids and teaches them about, and romance and how just because you like another does not mean they have to likr you back, and that they should be okay with a women showing her legs off then they can ruin their childs lives and make them watch the disney show crap that shows nothing to aide their children with the real world. Or they can have them play outside like normal kids should at the ages of 5 and 7.

I am so glad I found this. Usually, when I watch Cartoon Network, they air a commercial for tampons. TAMPONS!? Do you really think anybody who watches Cartoon Network needs tampons? Most of these children are 6-11 years old, and they're not on their periods. Show that on adult swim, most viewers of [as] are 16+ anyway.

Tampax, or whatever brand it was, is probably paying them millions for airtime. Many shows are paid for by ads. Tampon commercials will not harm your kids.

And the imagine shown by jen98 in a fake image, if you would like to see the actual scene in which the picture is depicting, the character that is shown naked is actually fully clothed. It is illegal to show nudity in children's cartoons. That image was obviously to provoke those reading this and that should not be used to represent that show due to it's authenticity. If you would like to judge a show, judge it by actual content.

People seem to think that the cartoons today are much more inappropriate than what was once watched. It is not that they are more inappropriate it is that we are at the age where we are understanding the sexual innuendos and really noticing the bad behaviors of cartoon characters . When we were children we didn't understand the jokes the same way your children will not understand them! Kids watch cartoons and only really take in the bits and pieces that they can understand. Children have not just became more advanced and suddenly understand these things. If those shows would not have been called inappropriate in your childhood, why are they now? They should be able to watch them for their entertainment and maybe one day in their teen years they may see what you as parents see. But as of right now all of this just goes over their heads so just let them enjoy themselves and watch fun cartoons!

I agree to an extent. But the good news for any and all concerned parents if you like me prefer the older material that CN used to show. WB is putting out them in droves. On DVD you could get alot of the classics you loved and can share with your kids instead of the ones they show now. CN's distribution and target audience really went downhill from 2004 onward. But it has it's ups and it's downs. And thankfully the people at WB know how much a lot of us would rather have the older shows, and thanks to DVD those dreams are coming even more realized each year.
