[Resolved] Carnival Cruise Linesport changes

It is wrong for Carnival to penalize me for the devastation that occurred in Puerto Rico. Carnival has changed our ports to a cheaper destinations and is charging the same cost. I called to inquire about a price adjustment and was told that management made a decision and it was final. Carnival's management is in a great position to make this kind of decision because they will profit at everyone else's expense. I can't get a full refund so Carnival is going to make a profit. Carnival is ensuring that their revenue is guaranteed. This is unfortunate because I prefer Carnival's line over all others but this will be my last sailing with them.

    Customer Service has done everything in their power to resolve the complaint. All attempts to contact the customer have failed. Therefore, the complaint has been annulled and must not be considered where image of the company in question and its services are concerned.

    We know our success depends on our guests and we treat all reports of guest dissatisfaction very seriously. We realize many vacations are chosen because of a specific itinerary and regret any disappointment caused as a result of the changes made to your itinerary. Please understand that the decision to change an itinerary is difficult and generally undertaken as a last resort to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. We do want to assure you that this is not what we would have wished for you to experience during your cruise vacation.

    While we value all input from our guests, we must respectfully advise that Carnival Cruise Lines first priority is always with the safety of our guests, crew and vessels. However, there are situations that sometimes dictate that itineraries and or ships maybe be altered as we strive to preserve the vacation experience to the best of our ability. Therefore, it is regrettable that you met with such frustration in the course of your cruise holiday. Due to the nature of a cruise vacation, itinerary changes sometimes become necessary for safety, weather or other reasons beyond the control of Carnival. If the itinerary change is for reasons beyond Carnival’s exclusive control, including but not limited to safety, security, weather, strikes, tides, hostilities, civil unrest, port closings, emergency debarkations of guests or crew, late air, sea, car or motor coach departures or arrivals, mechanical breakdowns or problems not known to Carnival, itinerary changes consistent with U.S. State Department travel warnings / advisories or other applicable US or foreign governmental advisories, guests will not be provided any compensation. Guests electing to cancel will be subject to the standard cancellation terms. .

    It is regretful that you received such a poor impression and we hope you will allow us the opportunity to regain your patronage.
