Carnival Guest #288603970
My name is Denise Bailey. I booked a cruise through your website, intending to depart from the LA dock. I initially paid half of the ticket amount for a cruise, then realized I had selected the wrong departure location. I called your customer service team and was informed that if I did not pay the remaining balance, my payment would be refunded to my card.
I then booked and paid for a new cruise departing from LA. However, I noticed that my previous payment had not been fully refunded. I received a refund of $84.67, although I had paid $281.50 for the original booking. The original cruise was on the Conquest ship, departing Miami on October 19 and returning on October 22. The booking number is FN6B18 for the 4 Day Baja Mexico cruise. When I called again, I was told that my issue would need to be escalated to you for further assistance.
Claimed loss: 196.00 Dollars
Desired outcome: get some kind of credit

Denise, you did exactly what their rep told you to do, so this is on them. Send an email to Carnival's guest care team and put your guest number [protected] and booking FN6B18 right at the top. State plainly that you were told the unpaid balance would trigger a full refund, that you only received $84.67 of the $281.50 you paid, and that you are requesting the remaining amount back to your card within ten business days. Attach the booking confirmation and your card statement showing both the charge and the partial refund. Then call and ask for the resolutions team, give them that email date, and ask for a case number. If it stalls, dispute the difference with your card issuer.
