First, let me say we had our first cruise with Carnival in 1999 and have about 115 days at sea. We have only cruised Carnival when we decided to cruise. This is the second change in the VIP program since cruising with Carnival. I have noticed many changes over the years none great but none were enough to deter us from traveling with them. None of our cruises were freebies or casino gifting. We paid in full for each day we had at sea. Our last cruise was in October, 2025 and we experience some great service and some equally horrible service. With the changes of cancelling our platinum status shows clearly that Carnival is not in the business of loyalty and the mediocre service on the last cruise. There is nothing that sets Carnival apart from other cruiselines. Just as they are no longer loyal to those of us that have continued to support them through changes, mediocre service neither are we. I don't expect to travel with Carnival again in the near future.
Recommendation: MSC & Virgin match your status with Carnival so try them. The benefits are definitely matched and the service may be too!
