Captain D's Two piece fish meal

On more than one occasion I have visited this location 30 + minutes prior to closing and been told they are out of main menu items. Or they don’t have any cooked and it’s too close to closing . Basically saying they’ve already begun end of shift duties and aren’t going to cook anything else. Well tonight after sitting in a very long slow line, we finally received our meals! When we got home and ole ed the boxes our fish was ridiculously small.. clearly a piece of fish cut in 1/2! Our food was over 21.00 and only enough food for one person. I am very disappointed and this will be my last visit to captain ds. My family has been a loyal customer for over 15 years but my husband I agree this was the final straw! Do better Captain Ds or I’m

Captain D's Unprofessional, disrespectful, rude staff

Hello, writing in regards to one of many experiences…I have encountered, at captain d’s located at 109 sr-138 stockbridge, georgia…on wednesday july 26 2023 between 12:30 pm and 1pm…I came in to pick up a delivery, for an uber eats customer, after waiting, almost 15min…I had asked 3 guys behind the counter…did they know how much longer the order was going to be?

By this time, I had already hung up the phone, with the customer…its was then, one of the guys, who came out from the back, said to me…”were up here we don’t know when it’s going to be ready”…my response: okay I see your up here, I would like, to know how much the customer order is going to be…this young boy dark skin black, about 5’8 dread locks, continued to argue, with me…it was then I had asked him, to be quiet, because he was being disrespectful, rude and unprofessional, he in return told…”don’t tell me to be quiet because i’m a grown [censored] man”…oh if that’s the case… grown mature men don’t speak this way…this whole time this was happening, I was on the phone, with uber support team…who heard the whole conversation…can someone please reach out?

Captain D's The service, and cleanest…

On july 14, 2023, time about 3:30pm that afternoon…a friend n I went out to captain d’s to eat inside, it was not busy at all…

The cashier wasn’t friendly n never had a smile on her face! She was short answering our questions about menu’s when we asked about something. Plus almost ever time we go there to eat… they seem to always be out of bake potatoes n out of sweet tea! As we sit down to wait on our order, about all the tables haven’t been cleaned off! So I had to ask them to please clean off the table we was sitting at! Got our food to eat… the food was great no problems there at all… the time of getting food was good too! As we was leaving n went to go use the restroom…. The soap dispenser was off r maybe broken! No paper towels at all, plus had water in the floor around the toilet, I say maybe it was leaking! Leaving out never any workers saying thank you come back n have a great day r anything like that…. I feel as a busy of yours you need to know about these things! If it was just like a once in awhile thing I wouldn’t even complain but the few times i’ve been here lately… I haven’t seen it get any better!

Desired outcome: Clean the place up, keep it clean n have better happy smiling saying Thank you n come back to see us… better service workers!!!, that can make a big difference in a working place!!! Also keep stuff in stock

Captain D's Manager threatened my fiance'

This incident happened today around 11:25 a.m. at the Athens, GA location on 425 Prince Ave.

My fiancé and I needed to use the restroom. At Wendy's, the lobby was closed. We went to Captain D's next door. My fiancé has health issues, so he needed the restroom immediately. We usually would have professional service but today was totally different.

Captain D's was open, but as soon as we entered, the manager said the restaurant was closed. It was confusing, because the restaurant was supposed to be open anyway. He was a tall, dark-skinned black man, stocky build.

My fiance' was upset, but the manager used profanity, threatened to call the cops, and even wanted to fight.

We were so disappointed and shocked at the manager's unprofessional response, because of a restroom. We will never return to that location again and warn others of the terrible behavior of the manager. The manager should be fired ASAP.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology, a suspension or firing of the manager, and a free meal for me and my fiance'.

Captain D's Uncooked battered dipped fish in all meals ordered

Placed a order online and got there to pick up, just to get home which is all the way on the other side of town tosit at my dinner table with my husband and son and all of our fish is uncooked inside and so much moisture at the bottom you can also tell it sat for quite sometime. Very disturbing! I would greatly appreciate a FULL REFUND and yes I have pics and will upload them if that's an option

Captain D's Cole slaw

Went to captain d's again on 6/30/23, to get a side of coleslaw to eat with my ribs at the house. This is the second time in 1.5 months that I have gotten the coleslaw, and then had to throw it away because it tastes so awful! I don't know if the sauce has been changed or what, but it is so strong and foul smelling you can't eat it. The first large order was dry and brown... I thought it was out of date, so we threw it out, disappointed and moved on. But when the second large order was the same, obviously something has changed at the store... and not for the better! $8.50 total down the drain! Been coming here for years... not sure what's happened?

Desired outcome: 2 refunds for $4.27 each would be nice, or some coupons to re-coup what we've thrown away.

Captain D's Management

Tracy fortenberry is so unprofessional she is very rude and has a foul mouth around children and so disrespectful. This is the third time this has transpired something really needs to be done about this and I’m not the only one this has happened to pretty sure I’m not the only one who has complained about this situation! There is no specific date or time I can’t remember.

Desired outcome: Something needs to be done ASAP! So unprofessional!!

Captain D's My recent trip to benton ar location

On 7-1 23 @ 3:35pm. Me and my mother visited benton ar location. (3655). The was 1 car on lot when we arrived. The was no immediately there to take our order. The boy came from back to take our order. He wasn't friendly or unfriendly. He took our order we got drinks went sat down. There is only 1 man in the store and now us. I went up and asked him to put sauces on tray. I was polite and thanked him. He was on his phone and was annoyed by me coming up there. He was in very rude tone. Yeah ma'am. At this point my mom and only other customer was like. Wow there not friendly at all here. I agreed. The man was complain abt how rude he was to him as well. So a lady came on in assuming she was manager. The employee met her at door talk abt how the man didn't like him. We got our food everything was room temperature. But the fries were un eatable. My mom took them up to the lady who immediately scolded employees abt poor quality fries. I heard her ask the to drop more. I waited for abt 10 min. No fries. She noticed I was still waiting asked for the fries 2 more times. I did not get my fries bc I finished what was eatable. And finllay gave up and left. $ 33.64 for poor service and cold old food. We don't live near a captain ds so we drive there occasionally bc we normally enjoy the food. Im very disappointed with my experience today. I fell like there is a reason this restaurant had only 1 other customer. The lack of quality food and service maybe running ur customers off. I never do feed backs but this is some of worst experience I've had in very long time. I was compelled to share my experience today.

Desired outcome: Training for employees and managers. And at least a partial compensation for the food.

Captain D's Unprofessional service

I visited the Captain D 365071, today June 22nd, 2023 at

2:56 cst. I waited at the speakerbox for a few minutes despite the drive thru being almost empty.

The lady Ms. Angela was rude and on the phone. She told me I should have had my payment ready. I ask was she talking to me she said no i am on the phone. My whole order was wrong. I will not be going back.

Desired outcome: I want her to be be spoken too and my money refunded. I told her i will be contacting corporate and she started laughing.

Captain D's Bad food and rude

Today I placed a order 00086 drive thru capt ds in lumberton, nc

Fish and more. With fries and okra fries not fully cooked and cool, shrimp hard as rock and could not eat 3 of them. Fish under cooked, when I took a bite water squirted out.

2nd order

3 piece fish. Fries again not cooked thru and cool, fish same thing when you bite into it water squirted out. Like under cooked.

The 5 piece ad on shrimp was over cooked and hard.

I called to speak to the manager. I told her all this and she said we have to come back with the receipt to get a full refund.

Later my husband went back with receipt to get refund. She said you have to bring the uneaten food back with you.

I get a call from captain ds and they mumble something and hung up. I called back took 3 calls before someone answered. I asked to speak to the manager.

I said this is lynda someone called me and I didnt understand what they wanted she said no one called me. I said I spoke to her earlier about the bad food. She said I spoke to a cashier. I said she told me she was the manager. I also said she never told me to bring the food back with receipt. She said I am lying the cashier said she told me that. Why would I lie. She said no one called me. I said its right here on my cell phone. She would not give us refund. As we already thru out the dinner what was not edible. It was dark by this time and we dont go out after dark. This is not the first time their food is under cooked, or lukewarm. I didnt appreciate being called a liar. They lied to me twice, one it was not the manager although she said she was. 2nd they said no one called me when apparently it is on my phone as they did. We will not be back.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund. AS I was told we could get.

Captain D's Rude service

On Monday, 6/5/23, I visited Captain D's on Staple Mills in Richmond, VA. The service was horrible. I went to the "takeout" side of the restaurant to place the order, and the attendant was rude and very argumentative. I was trying to order the food, and I asked about the sides. She said, "Do you want the meal?" in her rough voice, and I said, "Yes, I guess. What side comes with the meal?" Your menu says 2 or 3 pieces." She was so rude and aggravated, so I asked her if she was a new employee. She said. "No, and why do you ask". I said because you seem aggravated, she said it is because you didn't say you wanted a meal and this is a new computer. Then she said, I am not going to argue with you. I don't know what else she said because, at this point, I was done. There are too many restaurants in Richmond, VA, to take abuse from a disgruntled employee. I kindly asked them to cancel my order and took my $24.00 to another restaurant.

Customers don't argue with disgruntled and rude employees. We have the power, keep our money. It was a good day, I feel empowered and will not stop at that restaurant again.

Captain D's The Food (Cajun Shrimp and fish)

I came in to place an order Cajun shrimp and fish. The service was cool but the food made me sick as a dog. I have to be at work at 6:45 every morning, I woke up at 4 am having watery diarrhea. it continued until today about 1pm from 4 am in the middle of the morning. I would like a refund because I don't know if it was the food was sour or if the cooks not washing their hands. but something made me very sick and it was the last thing I ate last night. I love captain d's but I can not return there eating the sour food or the employees being hygiene.

Captain D's Food/service

I waited in line about 15 minutes total from drive up window to order to pick up order. Not sure how many associates were working in back. I ordered 1 grilled whitefish that was good but rice was old and worn out. I ordered green beans and broccoli as side that was ok bread was good. Moral of the story is if the rice is off it throws the whole meal off

Desired outcome: The wait was disheartening and no apology was expressed. I got no thank you. I was given the option to pick my condiments. Moral of this phrase even if the meal is horrible a thank you and a apology out weighs the wait time.

Captain D's The service/employees

on Saturday 05/27/23 my husband went to the Captain D's in Sparta TN. order#0180. At 21:26 pm. reg. #1 says Layla was the server at the window. He ordered 2 chicken and fish dinners with a baked potato. 1 sweat tea 1 dr. pepper. She handed him the food and closed the window he sit there 2 to 3 minutes looking at them and they looked back before they came back to the window ask what he needed he said the drinks. She also left out our dipping sauce. This is not the 1st or 2nd time this is the 3rd time at this place this has happened. 2 months ago I went there myself and ordered some food. I sat at the window 5 minutes beeped my horn they would look and laugh and never came to the window to see what I needed. I made a call back up to the manager but I can see it did no good. that night they left out sour cream butter and our dipping sauce. items we already paid for. I drove off went to the store bought my own cream and dipping sauce. The fact that they see someone still at the window and stand there and laugh with each other is not right. im not trying to be a karen or problem starter but this is enough. the fact they we pay for our items and show them respect we should get the same in return. I understand it gets busy I have worked in places like this. I have sat in line 20 minutes before and never complained. But this is enough. They get paid to do their job they need to have more respect for customers. they will look out the window see the same car there and laugh with each other. ball means laugh cut up at work yes but have respect for us paying for our food. my name is shasta phillips my phone number is [protected] if you need any other informaction.

Captain D's Hero discount

Location: Captain D's 1731 Jefferson St. Lebanon, MO 65536:

Event: Place an order at this location today 14 May 2023 at 14:26 HRS. Myself and another veteran, showed my military ID for my discount. After receiving the meal's, I reviewed the receipt and discovered that the discount was applied to one meal. I went back to the cashier to question it and I was advised that it could only be applied to one item per order. She stated that the policy had changed. It was further noted that the discount was applied to the lower priced item; instead of the higher price one.

Expected outcome: The hero's discount should be applied to the whole meal and not just be selective.

Captain D's Difficult form of employment

They have threatened to fire me numerous times in the past, present, and probably future they are very insane in the head if they think they can hire someone of my caliber to do their pathetic excuse for a job again. They will also bully you at this job but don't let it. Now that probably won't happen if you're a manager. If you're a manager, they will force you to work 12 hr days with no break. There's also a strong smell of favoritism and the same day I got hired they hired an incompetent girl to work the registers. This individual openly insulted corporate and claimed to be working there to start their own business (probably lying) but long story short they got an attitude with me along with the shift leader by saying I need to work faster while the catfish was still cooking in the greaser. They along with the female shift leader not older than 30 insulted me and called me an a hole while the food was still cooking and saying it was cold. Then the incompetent nut claimed I was harassing her by asking for her number and told the general manager. The manager then wanted to talk to me 4 weeks after it happened he confronted me and tried me. That's what they do, set you up so you lose your job. They try me everyday here. I'm in fear of my safety and mental health dealing with such idiocy I can't fathom how they allow such crooks to work there in 2023. Also, there's a high turnover rate. Half the staff is not there anymore the female shift leader same age as me is not there anymore and I've only been there 2 months lmao. She threatened to quit in the middle of my shift and I had to work the drive through all by myself with no help and no training. That's what they'll do. You get no training and the food is constantly out of stock putting you and your coworkers at risk for complaints by the customers.

I'm only here because I couldn't get a job at Kroger got fired from there 4 days later because I didn't pass the background check. Captain Ds was a huge downgrade of a job. This job sucks why would I want to work here when I can work at construction and make double or go to a grocery store and earn the same amount, no grease, no rude customers, no incompetent managers, better hours, ect.

Also there is no loyalty amongst the coworkers. A gay dude was harassing me here and saying he wanted to date me because I'm young. The employees talk bad about each other and there's no trust here. It's fake af and this woman who worked here yelled at me with her boyfriend and made me feel unsafe working there. I'm probably gonna quit in two weeks

Captain D's bad customer service

I went to Captain Ds 4-9-23 in Talladega Alabama and have never been treated so rude by the lady at the drive thru. I wanted to cry when I left. They were out of everything I ordered so I got somthing I did not want, they did not put sauce in my bag that i asked for and slammed the window after they gave me my food. I will not be going back anytime soon.

Captain D's Cole Slaw

May 1st around 8pm, I went to Captain D's in Gun Barrel City, TX. My order was to go. When I got home, I ate my food and then when I started eating the Coleslaw I saw there was a big, long, very dark, hair in the coleslaw. Today about 5 pm I went back to Captain D's and told a woman about it and a woman, named Ashley, called me an idiot and said I can have more coleslaw. MORE COLESLAW? Why would I want MORE COLESLAW with hair in it? I had my receipt with me and Ashley took my receipt and would NOT give it back.

Desired outcome: Fire Ashley. She is ALWAYS rude and mean.

4/20/23 my whole order was wrong please teach your employees customer service and food preparation if you don't do anything i'm calling corporate office because this is getting out of hand hire better people at drive thru captain d's 262839 order # 0056 sharese my order came up to $21.90 please teach your employees customer service because they don't know i'm corporate office or not get friendly staff and people at this location because they seems nobody cares about your food and customer service should be your number one priority

Captain D's Customer service experience

When I say this is the WORST CAPTAIN D’s experience that I have ever had in my life ! I came to this place on April 15, 2023 around 3:20ish and I came through the drive thru with my family… when I checked my food the first time, my broccoli was ice cold to touch. So I went back in there and asked nicely for a remake.. they did! I came back out side and started to eat my kids meal fish and broccoli and noticed the fish did not look right, like either been sitting long or wasn’t cooked…. Either way I wanted a return at this point. I went back in there and this only “white lady that was working in there with a blue shirt “manager or lead” approach me with the upmost disrespectful attitude and I was actually nice the whole time. She proceeded to say that I cannot return my item without a receipt. I told her that I literally just came through the drive-thru and I just want my money back at this point because the food does not look right. She said no she can’t without a receipt. I said ok, well I need a district manager number. She said I got another manager here I can talk to (that wasn’t what I asked for) that manager came up short older very small lady (actually sweet because she helped me the first time) she was trying to get things rolling with my return. Something happen with her going to the back and back up to me but another very sweet lady with dreads and a guy with a orange shirt came And up and helped me get my money back (which I got now) however I am sending in this complaint for the white lady and the black lady that was working the drive thru around this time (which she was a black lady mid-age heavy set) they both were very rude and I want something done about that. Maybe both should work in the back and not with customers. The black lady was actually talking very bad about another person that was in the drive thru.. VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND DISAPPOINTING… this area has to do better…
