Capital One Auto loan

I purchased a car from Malone's auto. I am an African American Female. My credit was Fair. This car was purchased during the 4th of July Holiday. Capital one did not notify the payment was due until it was too late. The payment for the car was August 9, 2021. Yet, I bought the car July 4, 2022. I put down 10k on the car. Therefore, I was told the car note due date would not be until Sept 4th, 2021.

Nevertheless, I have several credit cards with Capital one which are paid on time. Yet, I called Capital One to explained, I was in a car accident where I was hit by a truck by a driver who only had a passport no license. My insurance company paid for the car in full. Instead of Capital One giving me a break. They reported the car as 60 days late which it was not. I disputed it. The it went to 30 days late. Please explain why does Banks hate African Americans so much? Yet, you use African American celebrities to lure us to your product. Capital One has the highest interest rates on all of their credit cards and cars. Capital One was charging me five times the cost of the car amount. Yet, instead of making a good customer service move and giving a Special Education Teacher a break they decided to lower my credit score by placing 30 days late for three months and closing the car out completely. Once I pay off my credit cards with Capital one. I am going to stick with a credit Union. This is the worst experience and I will never use Capital one again.

Desired outcome: All late payments removed from my account and the three credit bureaus.

Capital One Capital One

3/15/22 Spent 26 minutes on the phone with a representative attempting to find our why I cannot wire transfer my funds to close a real estate account. The person said that I had changed my phone number and the system needs time to verify the number. I have in the past and continue to receive test messages from this institution. I have never changed my phone number.

3/16/22 Spent 45 minutes with a representative specializing in wire transfer who could not do anything for me. He did repeat the above as I did.

3/16/22 Spent 26 minitues on the phone with a representative trying to brainstorm a solution. Came up with an attempt to set up a new joint account with my significant other and transfer the money there. Again was denied because when my phone number was entered in the application process verification was denied.

In all cases I have never changed my phone number. We attempted all solutions and they all failed. I will sue the company for damages if I am unable to wire funds.

Desired outcome: Pay me for damages.

Capital One Auto finance

I had a $633.92 scheduled payment from TD to Capital One and it didn’t post to my Capital One auto loan. I went to TD and got a copy of the check. I have called the auto loan customers service a total of 9 times. Faxed them the check showing that Capital One deposited the check on 2/14 a total of three times. Twice they verified that they received it. It is 3/16 and the funds have not been reversed nor been posted. I’m about to call for the 10th time and pray that The rep can understand enough English to even understand what I’m saying.

Desired outcome: Apply it to my loan or reverse the funds. As Capital one has already deposited my funds there is little else I can do other than making a small claim which would take even more of my time.

Capital One Credit fraud and customer service - 2022 is out of control

My account was accessed via Capitol one website on Feb 4th 2022 and my identity was stolen. Capitol One has YET to verify my PERSONAL information so I can access MY personal credit card account. It has been over 36 days since anyone has been able to help me. I've spoken to probably a dozen representatives. On the banking side of Capitol One - fraudulent accounts were made using my information and fraud was committed within those accounts. The banking side has been able to verify my info and help me BUT the credit side has not. Apparently, both sides do not communicate with one another and it's like working with to completely separate banks every time I call them. Banking side gave me a case worker with an extension that doesn't exist. I've submitted my most sensitive personal information to Capitol one via their 'secure' email system, but each time I call they don't seem to have it - even when the rep I'm speaking to say they got it with me over the phone as soon as I sent it. Spoke to a Supervisor Taylor (female) - admitted ' someone dropped the ball '. They use a government system that requires a valid DL to verify who you are. I have a government issued ID but NOT a DL only a temp - NYC has failed to get my hard copy to me and it's been 6 months - another story. I reside part-time in a very rural area and do not have access to a walk in back within a 2 hour drive. I will not be back to the city for another month. So far, I have 2 late fees and my credit has been affected. Capitol One has taken no responsibility.

Desired outcome: I expect to be financially compensated for my time, missed hours of work, the almost 40 days of added stress.

Capital One The tellers

Since Capital One closed the branch on Union turnpike and another on Hillside avenue I have to go to the branch in Wiliston. The service stinks, they had one cashire at the windows. When I complained that many people are waiting ten minuets to be served, all of a sudden two more cashiers came out and opened their windows. They are slow to do anything This happens all the time

Capital One Walmart credit card

I purchased a refurbished laptop from Walmart. It did not work properly so I received an RMA label and sent it back. I sent all documentation to you and you did nothing. I DO NOT HAVE IT. I keep getting threatening emails about the balance which you did absolutely nothing about. I have been a good customer of yours for years. I will tell you one last time, I am NOT paying one cent.

Capital One Fraud department

My husband made an online purchase where items were never received.

He even used the "Send money with Zelle" option on Capital One's account page. NOW they say they don't cover fraud through Zelle? Then WHY is there an option on the account page stating money can be sent via Zelle?

Does that not make Capital one in someway responsible for this? They should NOT have an option to send money via Zelle if they are not going to help their customers who are defrauded via a link on their (Capital One) site!

Capital One credit card paid in full interest charged

Disappointed after many years of having been a customer here. This past month I paid off my credit card and it was paid off before the closing date. I called to speak to a representative to see why there was interest charged on an account with a zero balance. The first representative put me on hold and was looking at the account . She was discussing the statements for the previous months. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was denied. I called back again and spoke to another representative and explained the situation and he was able to put me through to a supervisor. Even after speaking to a supervisor it was no use. They would rather lose a customer over a interest charge that the account was paid off than try and keep a customer that had done all their banking there for many years. Sad to say they don't care about the customer.

Capital One Capital one app and website access is down

I cannot access my app or my account on the website, it says no account exists, not accurate I am using my credit card no problem.

I have been on hold for over an hour trying to resolve the access issue, not impressed,I assume this has to do with the shift from capital one to CIBC, noot a great start to the transition! Not feeling great that I cant access my account info

Capital One Very bad customer service

Capital IRA Department terrible! Bank issued incorrect 1099s for direct rollover of their IRAs to another bank No disbursement to us. It showed massive taxable disbursement to my wife and I on separate IRA and 1099s. All they had to do was put a letter "G" in box 7 on 1099s to show this was a non taxable event. We were lied to many times that they were working on it since January! and to expect corrected 1099s in a few days. Never got the corrected 1099s or even a phone call. Now forced to pay an accountant to straighten out a mess they created for me. First spoke to a Blake and then a Katherine and others since January. Very happy that Capital One is no longer in IRA business,

Their IRA dept is a joke to say the least and customer service is a ZERO..

Desired outcome: Send 2 corrected 1099s showing a letter G in box 7 indicating this is a non taxable event.

Capital One Big menards card

I purchased a Jacuzzi Tub from Menards last year around September using Capital One Credit Card. Around November, I had to cancel the tub because it had not been received in shipping when Menards said it would. I lost my contractors and was forced to cancel the order. Menards was offering a 11% rebate at the time of purchase which I requested and never got. After asking for a refund from Menards, I was told that I would get a full refund. Menards did not give me a full refund, they gave me a refund for the tub minus the 11% rebate, which I never received. I filed a complaint with Capital One, each time I called, I was placed on hour long holds and several times had the call disconnected. I always had to call back and re-explain the situation and forced to hold on for hours while they tried to figure things out. Here it is March, 6 months later, Capital One is still charging me money for an item I never received from Menards. Please do your research and stay away from Menards and Capital One. Capital One does not have its customers back and I am shocked that I am forced to pay $100 for something I never received.

Desired outcome: I would have liked for Capital One to offer some type of consumer protection. Menards has several complaints about deceiving customers and shady refund policy. Capital One should not be doing business with them.

Capital One capitalone walmart card

I don`t remember the date but in January 2022 I rceived an e-mail asking me to click on to see if I was prequalified for the cpaitalon walmart card. I did and I was. so I continued with the application and received a phone call from someone claiming to be from capitalone and saying they needed a lot of personnel information including a picture of my drivers license and even proof of my social security number. I was sent the card but when I tried connecting it with the walmart card it was blocked. I have tried to find out why but no one can or will tell me. The card is connected to my capitalone card when I login but it states this card is restricted. I contacted support and asked for the card to be cancelled. It was but that did nothing to remove it from my login page. Today the 26th of Feb, 2022 I decided to see if I were prequafied for this same card and I was not referencing a report from equifax. I checked my equifax report and the only thing on there was to many inquiries my credit score was 807

Desired outcome: I would like to be approved for the capitalon walmart card. I have never before been disapproved for any card and I cannot see how I can be held accountable for this fiasco all i did respond to capital ones request.

Capital One Credit cards

Ordered three gift cards on November 29, 2021. I never received them. One was for Cracker Barrel, two were for Sam’s Club. Called in early January and was given a case number. Nothing else has happened.

Every time I call I’m told by the service rep to be patient. Never been treated like this in 20 years with Capital One. Very disappointed, lousy service. I just want my credit back to my rewards accounts.

Capital One Ordered duplicate lien release and paid - still have not received it

Contacted my title support on september 23, 2021.

Paid $23.00 for the duplicate. Confirmation no: [protected]

As of today [protected] we still have not received the duplicate release.

The address is correct on the reciept, can't believe it was misplaced my the post office again.

For some reason can't scan over the documents we have. We are also poa for this loan.

Capital One Request for Copy of Document

How disappointing and frustrating just trying to get a legible copy of a Capital One document. A multi-billion dollar company can't provide a one-page legible copy to their customer who needs the readable copy to submit to a judge. I spent hours on multiple occasions to be told, they can't provide a legible copy. It's a document coming from their company and they can't make it legible! First they sent a digital copy that wasn't clear but I printed it anyway and of course it was unreadable. Then I contacted them and they offered to send out a copy and when I received it, it was the same as when I tried to print it. Didn't anyone realize it was illegible? So I called a second time explained that the copy wasn't clear and they again agreed to send out another copy. When the second copy arrived, it was on nicer paper but the quality was worse than the first. What is going on? I called back again and they tried to send digital copies via DocuSign but it was just the same. I spoke to two supervisors (Emily and Calvin) and neither were empathetic or helpful stating nothing could be done. They fall way short in customer service and reliable resources. If I were to submit what they tried to pass off to me, they would have rejected it without question but when it's the other way around, a huge company with more resources than their customers, well, that's the best they can do. Enclosed are the copies sent by Capital One. They need to do much, much better in both providing clear, readable material to their customers and also major work in the customer service department, specifically the upper management. Such a simple request, yet a multi-billion dollar company can't seem to produce. Sad.

Capital One product not received

I thought I was ordering an outdoor storage shed 8x15 for $135.00. Used my Capital One card for payment. However, it was a scam. The charge showed the payment was thru PayPal, but my card was not linked to my PayPal.

This was a fake PayPal. I know, because the email of my PayPal does not have a foreign language in it. When Capital One investigated, they were convinced that the charge was legitimate. Now I have to pay for the scam done to me and to Capital One. I sent documents that prove it was a scam but they still don't believe me. I got nothing for my payment.

Capital One ATM Fees

On your website you state "Fee-Free ATMs" however after taking funds out of an ATM in a Wawa in Monroe Township, NJ a $2.00 fee was posted to my account. Therefore, this service is NOT FREE! It does not matter who applies the fee it is NOT FREE. To add insult to injury Capital One continues to close branches in the Central NJ area making it more an more difficult to make the occasional cash withdrawal from an ATM without fees. Yes, society is doing more and more business using credit and debit cards however, every now and then, cash is needed. It should not be an ordeal to get your own cash without being charged a fee. Everywhere I go I see a Chase bank. Perhaps I should just bite the bullet and move my accounts there. Consider covering 1 or 2 withdrawal fees each month for your loyal customers who may need to get their own cash and have no choice but to use a non-Capital One ATM. That's a no-brainer. Geeeesh!
