DBS Financial This company is terrible

This company is terrible. I'm currently making payments on a loan and paying for a car that I can hardly drive because of the faulty wiring. DBS keeps bothering me, even though I caught up with my payments by making weekly payments. If I'm just three days late, they bombard me with phone calls, voicemails, and emails. It's awful. I suggest staying away and running in the opposite direction.

DBS Financial This finance company is the worst I've ever dealt with (I'm 60, so I've dealt with a few)

This finance company is the worst I've ever dealt with (I'm 60, so I've dealt with a few). They're not ethical and greedy, and they'll rob you blind! Don't do it... They have fees every month that they can't explain! Run away from them and FAST! I don't know how they got this ComplaintsBoard.com rating, but it's BS!

DBS Financial I'm extremely disappointed with this company

I'm extremely disappointed with this company. Their lack of honesty, integrity, and accountability is disgusting. I reckon this company should be taken to court by a group of affected individuals. Regular folks like us always bear the brunt of such situations. It's such a pity. Perhaps COVID is nature's way of teaching a lesson to companies that exploit the working class.

DBS Financial My opinion is that you shouldn't buy any car from DBS Financial

My opinion is that you shouldn't buy any car from DBS Financial. We purchased a 2014 Journey in 2021 and have experienced numerous issues with it. Everything keeps going wrong, and their warranty provided by Lisa is also useless. The lady in charge is extremely rude. They don't cover half of what they claim to, and even if they do, they use used parts for repairs. I suggest considering another option.

DBS Financial This place is the worst I've ever dealt with

This place is the worst I've ever dealt with. The customer service is terrible. They never answer the phones. The first week I had my car, it was in the shop. Now it's back in the shop again for a new transmission, and I've only had the car for 6 months! DBS Financial is the worst car dealership, if you can even call it that. I wouldn't recommend either of these dumps to my worst enemy!

DBS Financial I used to pay my car bills on time until my company shut down because of Covid

I used to pay my car bills on time until my company shut down because of Covid. I've been dealing with DBS Financial for this matter. The problem is that I'm willing to do anything for a hardship case, but when I call, she never picks up the phone. I have to leave a message. However, when she calls me, she expects immediate action and threatens to take away my car. I've called twice now to get the email address, but she still hasn't called me back. I have all the necessary information, yet I'm terrified every day that my car won't be in my driveway when I wake up!

DBS Financial This company, DBS Financial, is terrible to finance with

This company, DBS Financial, is terrible to finance with. I had a 2010 *** and they didn't honor the warranty. They also didn't fix any problems, even after I complained to the ComplaintsBoard.com. They completely ignored me, even though we reached a resolution. I suspect they are involved in auto fraud and manipulating paperwork. They are experts at scamming innocent people. Avoid *** and any other DBS Financial businesses. They will overfinance you. They told me *** was a 2011, but the keys say 2010 and the paperwork doesn't match. So, for your own sake, stay away. This has happened to many others, don't become another victim.

DBS Financial DBS is a terrible company, they never fixed my car that I paid for because nothing was covered by the warranty

DBS is a terrible company, they never fixed my car that I paid for because nothing was covered by the warranty. Recently, I had to get my alternator, radiator, water pump, and battery replaced. To my surprise, when I checked, I found out that the entire frame where the muffler is supposed to sit was completely rotten and broken into three pieces. Once again, this was not covered by the warranty. They even threatened to repossess my car and their towing agents actually stole my car. They had the audacity to send me emails telling me to release the car when we saw them repo it. Now, they are trying to send me to collections. They are scamming people who own cars. This is the worst nightmare I could be experiencing right now as a single young mom. I give them zero stars, zero stars, zero stars, zero stars, zero stars, zero stars.

DBS Financial DBS Financial is the worst place to get an auto loan

DBS Financial is the worst place to get an auto loan. They will put you in overpriced cars that constantly need maintenance. I had my vehicle for two and a half months and it already needed an oil change, new tires, and the dashboard was malfunctioning. The fender was even hanging on by super glue. These are just the cosmetic issues with the car. They will tell you to take it to their preferred shops, but even those shops can't fix the problems. And to make matters worse, they still expect you to make payments while your car is in the shop. They do offer a grace period for loan payments, but they will harass your job, phone, email, and text you all night long. And as soon as you make a payment, they will repo your car. If you try to make a payment to get your car back, they will demand two months' worth of car notes and repo fees. I really regret signing up with this company. Hopefully, they can stop being dishonest and actually help their customers. It's no wonder they have a one-star review if you search for them.

DBS Financial This company, DBS Financial, is absolutely terrible

This company, DBS Financial, is absolutely terrible. From the moment I purchased a car from them, it has been nothing but trouble. As soon as I drove off the lot, the engine light came on, and it's only been two weeks since I got the car. Not only is the catalytic converter faulty, but the transmission is also in bad shape. They made me pay for a rental car and the tow to the garage. Their communication is atrocious, no matter who you talk to. They refuse to trade in the car for a more reliable one and won't cover the cost of the rental. Instead of proactively seeking updates, they wait for the garage to contact them. They speak to people rudely and don't seem to care about the impact of not having a car on our jobs and my children's lives. They claim they will reimburse me for the tow, but they won't reimburse the first car payment, even though we haven't had our car for a week due to these issues. The car is still in the garage today. I reached out to the ComplaintsBoard.com and the attorney *** in hopes of finding a resolution. Hopefully, we can make some progress.

DBS Financial We deserve justice as customers

We deserve justice as customers. They discriminate against the poor and take our money, selling us their game pieces. Even their garage Lisa Warranty is part of their corruption! This company has people working for them who knew about my medical condition, PTSD, and they bullied and harassed me until I couldn't handle the hate anymore and the gas going into it to keep it running. They sold me a car that had a tracker on it! The overdrive has to stay on or it doesn't run properly. They were remotely controlling my car. They should go to jail for this! How can a 2011 *** Accent with *** miles on it only give me 200 miles on a full tank? And in order for it to run properly, I had to keep it on overdrive. But they continue to harm us and take our money. They invade our privacy, and when they came to take the car, they damaged it! I wish I could show you a picture of the mess they left. This company is so unprofessional. They give *** a bad reputation! Companies like this should face consequences for their wrongdoing in court. They are taking advantage of many poor people. Be warned!

DBS Financial If I had to rate this company, I wouldn't give it any stars

If I had to rate this company, I wouldn't give it any stars. They act like they're gonna help you by offering a small down payment and a high car note. My husband and I got a car from *** motor credit/ *** and we fell behind on two payments due to life happening. They said we could make the payment on Friday, which was in two days. But no, we woke up to someone knocking on our door, telling us to take our stuff out of the car. When we tried to get the car back from *** and pay the balance, they had already sold it at an auction for $3,000. Shortly after, they filed a lawsuit for more money. They've been garnishing my husband's wages for over two years now, and they keep saying we owe them money. They claimed the car was $14,000, but I know that's a lie because we agreed to pay only *** for it, and that's the one they gave us. It's not just affecting our credit, but it's also ruining our chances of owning a home. This company is ruining our lives completely, and they need to pay for overcharging us and causing us so much pain and suffering. This has been going on for too long for no reason. I don't understand how they can do this to people they claim to help. In my opinion, this company is a scam. When I tried to call and have them removed because we shouldn't owe anything else, they said we still owe $10,000. Please help us resolve this issue.

Is DBS Financial legit?

Our conclusion: After a detailed review, ComplaintsBoard finds DBS Financial to be a trustworthy company. Although there's a 6% resolution rate for customer complaints, which deserves attention, DBS Financial is known for their high standards and safety. If you're thinking about dealing with DBS Financial, it's wise to check how they handle complaints.

DBS Financial earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

DBS Financial has registered the domain name for dbsfinancialinc.com for more than one year, which may indicate stability and longevity.

Dbsfinancialinc.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

Dbsfinancialinc.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.

Dbsfinancialinc.com you are considering visiting, which is associated with DBS Financial, is very old. Longevity often suggests that a website has consistently provided valuable content, products, or services over the years and has maintained a stable user base and a sustained online presence. This could be an indication of a very positive reputation.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • While DBS Financial has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 6% of 15 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
  • Dbsfinancialinc.com has relatively low traffic compared to other websites, it could be due to a niche focus, but could also indicate a potential lack of traffic and popularity. The dbsfinancialinc.com may offer a niche product or service that is only of interest to a smaller audience.
  • DBS Financial protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

Dbs is garnishing my wages again for the same amount they garnished a year ago, which I already paid in full. It's about a 2002 mountaineer I bought from them 13 years ago. It's December and I have 3 kids, and they're taking away $180 every week when I'm trying to buy gifts for my children. They couldn't have picked a worse time.

We were all caught up on payments and were due to make a payment tomorrow, 3-16-23, and the vehicle that is financed through DBS was just reclaimed out of my driveway. This is not the first time this has happened. Unless the vehicle is so many payments behind, I didn't think they could reclaim the vehicle. I'm also planning on filing theft and fraud charges on this company as well. We have called them multiple times to set up an auto pay for the payments and they tell us yes, it's set up, and it never gets done. I will never use them again. Also, if their building were on fire, I'd make sure a derailed gasoline tanker would be heading right for their front door.

I talked to DBS Financial last week and we agreed that I would pay to catch up on my car payments for my 2012 *** Sentra. I told a lady that I would do it by Wednesday and she agreed. But this morning, I woke up and my car was gone. I called the company and they told me that my car was repossessed. On their website, it said I had to pay $789, but the lady today told me I have to pay over $1,600 now just to get my car back. Nobody told me about the repo and all my stuff is in my car, including my work shoes, my ID, and all my debit cards. Now I don't have a way to get to my car. I really need some help. I also told them that I was between jobs because of COVID and asked for a hardship.

DBS Financial This is my second complaint since I got this car 4 months ago

This is my second complaint since I got this car 4 months ago. First issue was a broken rear sub frame. Now vehicle needs transmission, radiator, and rack and pinion. Absolutely ridiculous. Warranty company won't return phone calls. Vehicle also needs all coolant hoses and pipes replaced that warranty company won't pay for. Over 500 dollars they want me to pay out of my pocket on top of 300 dollars deductible that I shouldn't have to pay and still make my car payment every week. I already had to buy parts for my car that shop did not include in the job that they should have. No one wants to help me as the customer with anything. Now if my motor goes bad because of coolant pipes not being done, my warranty will be voided because I don't have the money to pay for the repair, let alone the money to pick up my car when it's done. Car has been at the shop for over a week and hasn't even been touched or parts ordered yet. I need something done about all these issues asap please.

DBS Financial Contract was signed on 12/31/22 for a running vehicle

Contract was signed on 12/31/22 for a running vehicle. The car was "fixed" so during test drive, although loud, the car didn't run bad and the engine light was not on. After completing the purchase and driving off the lot, the engine light came on about a half mile down the road. I immediately went back to confront the dealership that stated they couldn't do anything to help me and to call the warranty company. I began calling the warranty company as well as DBS concerning the issue considering I don't have a proper running vehicle. DBS told me they're sorry about what I'm going thru but no matter what we have to pay the note. I asked them why would we pay for a car we purchased less than 2 weeks ago and it's not running. They are not trying to work with us at all and they've continually attempted to withdraw money from my husband's account. 12 days after the purchase the car is in the shop with no estimated time for work to start or complete, in a rental that cost us $655 so that we don't lose jobs around my home. But they are attempting to withdraw $300.

On Thursday September 1st, 2022, because of a job change and a mistake with my paycheck, I called DBS Financial on Friday September 2nd to discuss my car payment. I couldn't make the payment and asked if they could delay it by one week. They said it was okay and requested my new paystub to update the due date for my payment. A few weeks later, I received a call about changing the due date again because my pay schedule had changed from bi-weekly to semi-monthly. However, the person who handles these changes wasn't in the office that day. This has been an ongoing issue where I am always put on the back burner and my fees keep increasing. They told me the fees were accumulating, but I never received a final total. I work from 7AM to 3PM, so when they call, I'm usually busy. I call them back during business hours, but I can never reach anyone. This has been happening for a while now. I leave 2-3 voicemails to resolve this, but I only receive a call back the following week, and it's just a voicemail again. It's like a never-ending cycle.

DBS Financial On November 2nd, 2022, I lost my job

On November 2nd, 2022, I lost my job. I paid my car note twice after losing my job, and after that, I fell behind. My bank had several returned payments, and I've had several failed jobs, all while I had communication with *** about my situation. On January 15th, I emailed my account manager *** and thanked him for working with me and explained everything that's going on. He decided to tell me about a hardship program, and I completed EVERYTHING I was told to do. *** told me that I needed $192 to finalize my paperwork, and I needed it by January 27th, 2023. I told *** that I will call him Monday, January 23rd, 2022, after my first day of work to tell him about my pay date. I left him a voicemail, but he never returned my call. Around 4 am, January 24th, 2022, my car was getting repossessed. I called the *** company that same morning to tell them what was going on, and *** completely dismissed everything, basically not even acknowledging the fact that *** was wrong for what he did, said, and everything. I have emailed proof of everything from ***. They said I needed almost $700 to get my car back, but I should still have my car because *** gave me false information. I did everything on my end. This company is so money-hungry and doesn't work with you how they say. It's ridiculous. They don't care about their customers, and their workers are horrible.

DBS Financial I paid this company for a car loan

I paid this company for a car loan. I gave them $2,500 in cash as a down payment for a 2010 Ford Fusion. The total price of the car is around $22,000, so I still have about $20,000 left to pay. They say I have to pay $140.00 every week for the car note because I get paid weekly. They have an online payment system that I used, but there were always issues. They kept saying they didn't receive my payment, even though the money was taken from my account and I didn't get any refunds. They said it wasn't their fault. So they had me refinance to add that money to the end of the loan. They told me my account was cleared of any debt, and since then, they have been automatically deducting the payments every week.

Today, July 29th, 2022, I called to pay my car note because my card was locked. They had tried to charge me $116, which is the regular price of my car note minus the insurance they charge me weekly. When I called to pay, they told me I owe them $450 again. I explained that it's not right because I refinanced and my account is on autopay, and I've been making the payments on time. I refinanced on July 8th, 2022. But they insist that two weeks later, I owe them $450 again and I have to pay it or return the car. I haven't received any money back or missed any payments. They keep trying to make me pay extra money. If I pay them $450, I will have paid them $1,000 this week for a 2010 car.

DBS Financial On February 11th, 2023, DBS Financial made a mistake by inaccurately reporting a drop of over 110 points in my Updated Payment History

On February 11th, 2023, DBS Financial made a mistake by inaccurately reporting a drop of over 110 points in my Updated Payment History. This action violated my Consumer Reporting Privacy Rights. They did not conduct any investigation to determine if there was a neglected responsibility that should be reported to all major credit agencies. According to Section 602A of the 15 US Code, I have the Right to Privacy. Additionally, Sections 15 USC Code B, D, I, Q, H, and W state various rules and procedures regarding consumer reports, disclosure of investigative consumer reports, disputed accuracy, obtaining information under false pretenses, conditions and form of disclosure to consumers, and disposal of records.

According to Section 604A, subsection 2 of the USC Code, a consumer should not have their account furnished without their written consent or instructions. Furthermore, Section 15 US Code C states that communication in connection with debt collection should not occur without the prior consent of the consumer or the express permission of a court. A debt collector is not allowed to communicate with a consumer more than once unless requested or if they reasonably believe that the previous response was incorrect or incomplete and now have correct information.

It is disappointing that DBS Financial did not follow these regulations and violated my rights.

DBS Financial I've had a lot of problems with DBS Financial since the beginning

I've had a lot of problems with DBS Financial since the beginning. It all started with the first payment. When I signed the paperwork, I didn't notice that the sales representative had put the wrong date for my payday and first payment. I called DBS and explained the situation, but they said there was nothing they could do except split the payment into smaller amounts and add it to my bi-weekly payment until it was paid off. So, within a few days of getting the car, my first payment was already late, and I had to pay it every other week along with late fees because of the sales rep's mistake. DBS refused to change the date and only offered to split the payment.

To make matters worse, the car broke down shortly after I got it. It had to be towed home because someone had fixed the inner tie rod-end but didn't tighten it properly, causing it to come loose. When I tried to discuss the first payment issue with DBS, I told them about the car breaking down and how lucky it was that it happened in a parking lot and not on the highway, but they didn't seem to care. They were only concerned about the payment.

But the biggest problem now is that I've always made my payments, even after that first incident. However, I'm now being threatened with repossession and court action. My ankle is injured, and I'm not allowed to walk on it until the doctor figures out what's wrong. As a result, I haven't been able to work since December 7th. I have a second specialist appointment on February 10th to hopefully get some answers. I still have my job, but I can't work until I'm cleared by the doctor.

I contacted my DBS financial representative and explained the situation. I asked if there was anything I could do to pause the payments or find a solution until I can return to work. She responded and asked me to send in proof of my doctor's excuse, two paystubs, and the lease agreement so she could present it to management. I sent everything she asked for. A few days later, she emailed me again asking for a payment. I sent her pictures of my ankle and told her to take the car if necessary because I have enough going on without being harassed about this. She replied saying she believed me and asked about my doctor's appointment so she could keep management updated. I informed her of the appointment date and she said to keep her updated.

On the day of the appointment, before I even got home, she called again asking about the appointment. I told her that the specialist didn't know what was wrong and was sending me for a second opinion. Once again, she said to keep her updated. Now, my second specialist appointment isn't until February 10th, but she emailed and called me last week asking for a payment. Today, I received an email stating that management has taken over my account and that the car loan is being charged off and sent to court if I don't make a payment immediately. Throughout this whole time, I've been keeping her updated and assumed she had spoken to management and worked out a plan to pause the payments until I could return to work. However, based on the email and message I received today, it seems that nothing was done, and the payments have been piling up since my last payment. I checked my credit report, and it shows non-payment reports from DBS since my last payment when I was able to work. I have every email I've ever sent her. Even after her last email two days ago, where she said management has my account now, I emailed back asking if I needed to call them to resolve this. She waited until today to contact me, and now the car has been repossessed less than 48 hours after she told me it hadn't reached that point yet. I've been in contact with them and trying to do what I can, but not being able to work makes it impossible to pay my rent and car payment right now. I've explained that I still have my job and I'm not asking them to lose money. I'm simply trying to find a way to work something out until I can return to work.

DBS Financial I financed a 2011 Chevy Equinox on 12/12

I financed a 2011 Chevy Equinox on 12/12. I have a two year warranty. D from warranty informed me half of my warranty is up already! How? A S., my account manager, failed to communicate within the company and someone from Source One came to my house and took my vehicle from my driveway! I had my phone, wallet, and keys to my house in my car... and everything was just gone. Because of a failed communication within their system. Then after I get my vehicle back from the impound for another $100, my vehicle was running weird. Started vigorously shaking and then went to “0” rpms and cut off. Dbs said it was my fault for my having three oil changes in a six month period. I sent in my oil change receipts to no avail. A O. Said I need THREE oil change receipts. No where in the contract does any verbiage disqualify me from being serviced. I’ve missed work, had to get my own rental car from enterprise! And on top of this extreme inconvenience, the “management” within dbs financial has been extremely rude, disrespectful(D*** got nasty and hung up on me mid sentence!), inconsiderate, and nonchalant as if they couldn’t care less. Never go to abc motor credit. There was an extensive list of issues with the vehicle confirmed by autozone computer hook up, timing belt, fuel pump, that does not result from a missed oil change. Resulting from the wrongful repossession my credit has down 100 points! Im under warranty I do not understand.
