Twice CT Bank has dropped/reduced my credit limit and twice I had to phone about it! Huge mistake on their part! I always pay my account on time and in full EVERY month, so I should not be penalized just because I don't use the full credit limit! Why should I have to use my full credit limit?
I am a senior citizen and don't have the funds or need to charge up THOUSANDS of dollars and max out my credit limit, just so the CT Bank doesn't reduce it! If CT thinks it saves them money, because I can't charge up as much, so they don't have to pay out as much in Canadian Tire money, then they are barking up the wrong tree! If THEY are trying to provide such "Superior Customer Service" , THEY won't achieve it this way! IT WILL COST THEM money in lost sales! Penalize the customers who don't pay their bills in full and on time, not the ones that do. This is Inferior Customer Service, not Superior!
I have a $20,000 line of credit. at my bank that I haven't used in decades and it is still there. They don't cut it in half or less just because I don't use it, so why should CT BanK? A VERY Ridiculous and unreasonable "policy"
Change the policy regarding a customer's line of credit! Canadian Tire Mastercard is "not" the only Mastercard out there you know! I PREFER the limit to be $15,000, minimum of $12,000. I want it left that way for the sole purpose of having a safety net in case of a huge unexpected expense, like a vehicle, a house or even a death, (which I recently had by the way) Does anyone think of that or care? I anticipate your reply of my CREDIT Limit!. AND I want it LEFT alone at the $12,0000 to $15,000 limit!
