I have been dealing with Diana Allen service representative at the Campers World located at 19302 Interstate 45 in Spring Texas regarding my Thor 2020 Windsport on several warranty items. She will not call or e-mail my wife or I back regarding parts and repair of our motor home. The last time I called she apologized for not e-mailing my wife back or calling...

Camping World Services

I bought a camper in May of 2022 and we used it a few times before we had to put it in the shop for a lot of cosmetic work. It was very poorly made and poor quality. The slides scraped the floor and left large tears every time we let it out or took it in, the windows leaked, the paneling on the walls were warped, the shower doors and other doors fell off the tracks constantly and a lot more. We put it in the shop in December 2022 and it is still there.

I filed a complaint and when they went to update me on the camper, it was discovered that the walls had rotted while in their possession and needed to be replaced so the repairs would take even longer.

Nothing seems to be getting resolved. I have already filed one complaint but not even the agent working my case will call me back. I want out of this camper immediately. It has been nothing but a nightmare and we have been paying a note on something we can not use.

Desired outcome: I want out of this camper immediately with a full refund for all of the notes paid while the camper was in their possession.

Camping World Camper sales

We drove 7 hours for a camper in Calera, Alabama. We were told we had an 11:00 am appointment. Each salesman told us to give them 10 to 15 minutes and they would get us started, which never transpired. At 1:00 we were finally told they were having “difficulties “ with our camper when they were preparing it for our walkthrough When we questioned what difficulties, we were given 2 different stories about what exactly the issue was. Finally, we were told it would take another hour to hour and half to clean and detail it before we could even walk in it. After sitting for hours and hours we finally were taken back at 4:00 pm to sign paperwork, only to find out the price negotiated on signed contract was NOT the price on the financing paperwork. An additional almost $6000 more has been added in. When questioned, the sales manager claimed it was financing fees from the lender. This amount was NEVER disclosed prior to making an almost 7 hour drive.

Our experience was so bad another couple who were about to purchase a $120,000 motorhome with $20,000 down walked away from their deal. They said they would never do business with this Camping World and more than likely no Camping World anywhere.

Run don’t walk away from Camping World in Calera, Alabama! If this is how Camping World conducts business, don’t waste your time! When a sale can’t be handled properly, I shudder to know how they would handle warranty issues!

Desired outcome: I just want people to know this is how Camping World treats their buyers! Avoid Calera, Alabama Campinf World!

Camping World Damaged my coach and refused to fix it!

I brought my coach in for warranty work and customer pay work. First issue was that I requested that the batteries to be serviced and tire pressures checked. When I picked up the coach and inspected it when I got home I found that the batteries were not serviced at all. They had a lot of corrosion on them and the fluid was never inspected. After multiple calls and photographs sent proving they were not properly serviced the manager finally reimbursed me for that. The second issue is I requested that the Aqua-hot have an electric diagnostic test done and a quote to do the maintenance on it. I advised them that I had the coach winterized. They stated that the service was twice what others had quoted and notified me that they found nothing wrong with the system. Once the snow had melted at my home I brought it home to prepare it for a trip, that’s when I realized that they had unwinterized my coach by adding water to the holding tank and pressurized the system. It was then I found out that due to them unwinterizing my coach and not notifying me that pipes froze and broke.

Desired outcome: I want them to pay for the repairs

Saw a travel trailer posted on Camping world Fort Myers. The unit listed as a 50amp with 2nd A/C perp. I made an inquiry online and the internet sales team said the unit did have 50amp service. Camping World 2018 jayco white hawk (travel trailer) / management & corporate experience

We purchased a 2018 Jayco White Hawk on 4/7/21. Within a few short months (i.e., ~3-4), we began experiencing structural/mechanical issues. One of which (e.g., rotted floor on the slide), given the extent, had to be present at the time purchase. Subsequently, the latter also wasn't identified during the 90-day mark when we transitioned the travel trailer to the Camping World Braidwood, IL location to have the seals checked. We noticed the issue shortly thereafter.

Long story short, the travel trailer has been in services of some short and Camping World's custody for nearly 1 or the 2 years we've had it. To make matters worse, the work has often been shotty at best and required re-work. We've shared our mechanical/maintenance concerns with both the management team of the location where we purchased the item from (i.e., Georgetown, KY) and Camping World's corporate office. Disturbingly, they were less than helpful at best, and patronizing/condescending at worst.

We contacted a personal property attorney who advised we had a solid case; however, our warranty agreement limited mediation to an arbitrator. Given my wife's a traveling lab scientist who requires use of the product (and myself an active-duty military service-member with two overseas combat tours), we've decided to keep the item for the time being but are actively looking to trade it soon. We'll never do business with Camping World again and humbly recommend that anyone who's considering doing so read/take heed of the reviews submitted. Thank you!

Desired outcome: We ask that the Camping World senior leadership be made aware of this review. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. The treatment we've received cannot be indicative of the image the company wants to portray.

Camping World New purchased RV

Hello

My name is Thang Chu, my email is [protected]@gmail.com. On March 31, 2023 I flew to Wentzville, MO to purchase a new RV Winnegabo 2022 which had only 450 miles on it. My plan is to drive the RV back to Californa.

Right after leaving the dealer a few hours, we noticed some issue with the RV. The engine service light said " Service A overdue by 120 days". The tire balancing and alignment are bad that the coach rides very shaking and steering wheel rattling tremendously. The faucet started to leak pinky solution, the sliding door often can't be open from both inside and outside. The generator could not start. One of the draw next to the fridge was broken from the ball bearing.

The worst part was when we got to Phoenix Arizona the car can not shift to any gear mode from parking gear. Other service lights were also appeared like Active distance assist inoperative and Risk of rolling away apply parking brake see owner's manual.

We had to tow it to nearest Mercedes dealer next morning, it was diagnosed that the gear selector from transmission was dysfunction and need to be replaced. We had to stay 2 days extra in Phoenix for repair and we are still at the dealer at this moment. According to Mecerdes Service Specialist, the RV been sitting for too long, the tires are damaged and need to be replaced. I called Wentzville dealer and spoke to the manager and asked for option to return the RV with full refund and his respond was "Nothing I can do"

I want to ask Camping World to investigate and help to resolve this issue.

Thank you

Camping World I want the $25.00 certificate plus now

Camping World was supposed to have sent us a Merchandise Certificate in March 2022 in the amount of $25.00. They said they sent it to our address on file (which was a Good Sam Mailing Service since we were living in our RV full time at the time). We waited a while to order our mail from the mailing service and it was not there. We called Camping World and supposedly they sent it again. Once again, we gave it ample time to arrive and we ordered our mail again. (NOTE: It costs us approx. $15.00 every time we order our mail and in the past have tried to limit it to twice a year.) Once again, there was no certificate. After several more calls to Camping World, they finally emailed the certificate to us (December 2022). In January, we went to a Camping World store to use the certificate and the email did not contain the Certificate. (I should have opened up the email sooner but stupid me... I just assumed for some dumb reason that the Certificate would be in the email.) I called that day since I was at Camping World ready to make a purchase to see if they could email it again and I was told they would have to process the request and that it could not immediately be done. : (We left the store empty handed. The new certificate came through either later that evening or the next day. Unfortunately we left the area and were no where close to a Camping World (or Gander or Overton's which we have never heard of)... we were approved. 110 miles to the closest Camping World. Then, unfortunately, we had two deaths in my family and I had a lot going on... Shopping at Camping World wasn't one of them when I had almost an entire year to do so if Camping World had gotten the certificate to me when they were supposed to have. I called two weeks ago to get the certificate re-issued. I was told it would be re-sent. I waited and nothing... I called again today. I told my story and then was transferred. I then told the story to the second person and she put me on hold for quite a while. Then she came back, asked a few more questions and put me on hold again... for quite a while once again. Then she came back and said that since I have had to ask for them to re-issue the certificate several times, they can no longer do so. Not once did they ever say this would be the last time and I don't understand why it is my fault when three of the four times they never got the certificate to me. It's not like I let the certificate expire four times! This on top of 8 years of nothing but problems with Camping World is the final straw. They messed repairing our 40' RV back in 2015! They messed up repairing our 30' RV in 2022 (they supposedly fixed things that either they did not (a leak underneath a sink - it's still leaked) or they caused more problems that needed to be fixed by someone else. Now... they spent a year trying to cheat us our of $25.00 after over the years we have spent about $10,000 with Camping World!

Desired outcome: I want our money back for all of the bad repairs, & $12,000 for the time I have had to spend trying to get things resolved ($150.00/hour x 80 hrs.) So...$15,000 should be sufficient.

Camping World Service

I bought a 2020 Momentum 351M for $76000 and drove off lot 32 miles and blew a tire causing $4200 worth of damage and the service department told me that’s too bad. They told me I needed to called insurance and make a claim. I asked them to give me an estimate and they said they needed a claim number. It’s going on 2 months now and I haven’t even gotten it home yet. Meridian camping world service department is very disappointing. I cannot believe that after spending that kind of money and they are not willing to do anything to help speed up the process of getting it fixed and giving a break cost of fixing it.

Desired outcome: Get my RV fixed!

Camping World Not being allowed to look at camp trailers for sale on camping world's lot for sale

On Saturday afternoon 3/18/23 went to look at trailers for sale at Camping World in Coburg Oregon. There were 4 of us man and woman married for 50 years and another married couple man and woman married over 20 years. The two women went to look at trailers. They wanted to look at a certain trailer and were told by a sales person that they didn't have that trailer. They then asked to look at similar trailers. The sales person said he had to talk to manager. When he came back the women were told no they couldn't. They did not want to argue or have a dispute so went and got husbands and left. They told husbands at that point but it made all of us sick and not wanting to get store manager involved we went to Junction City to shop for trailers. Not sure why this happened this way but it came across as if they thought the women were a couple and lesbians. It was very offensive.

The two husbands had similar experience when they both drew $10 off coupons and promptly told they couldn't combine them as if they were a couple. Not sure what problem is but definitely appear to be one.

Desired outcome: Fix it

Camping World Cameron says he is the owner and can come out to do a service call

March 7th Cameron and I were talking about my service repair.

He mentioned he is the owner of the company and will not be the one doing the call or repair.

Cameron has been avoiding my emails and phone communication and now I have to seek another company to come out for an estimate.

I shared how I need this repair due to the extensive rain we are having.

Cameron just stopped taking me calls - I guess I should be happy and after looking at his reviews I will no longer seek this RV Camper World of Mess.

Mike

Desired outcome: Cameron should now be in customer service

Camping World 2022 Keystone bullet 1500BH

Hello,

. My wife and I purchased a 2022 keystone bullet 1500 BH in April of 2022. We have loved our camper but have had several issues. About 3 weeks after purchasing we noticed the windows were leaking and growing mold under the bed. We immediately contacted the location where we purchased in Asheville nc. While frustrating it was understandable and we returned for warranty service that took about 4 weeks. The camper has had several issues since and I called the Knoxville TN location thinking they might be faster with warranty work since they are a smaller location. I delivered the camper Jan 23, 2023 and left them with a list of stuff to have fixed before warranty runs out. Leaking city water hook up, Solar panel over charges battery to the point of swelling and getting hot and smells and the grey and black water control display changes from empty to full randomly. Upon arriving I did not receive a walk around inspection. They took about 6 weeks before I reached out and was told that all of my claims were denied and I can pick up the camper anytime. When I picked up the camper on Friday Feb 24 I was shocked when they said I had a balance owed of $77.85 after it was all supposed to be warranty work and although frustrated I paid the balance. I was again told all claims were denied and that they were not craftsmanship issues. Is this not what warranties are for? They said the amount owed was for checking the tank water display and said it checked out fine but I have videos of it going crazy while camping and we cannot use it due to us not knowing the real levels. After bringing my camper out to me there was not any inspection done or a walk around outside. The forklift driver did ask if I needed help backing up but that was it. I done my own walk around before leaving and took picture for myself. We have had a wonderful buying experience and would buy again with camping world but are very frustrated that we now have paid $77 and the service department cannot fix these issues. I have reached out to keystone for answers on why they would deny our claims. Thank you for your time.

Camping World 2020 Coleman Lantern LQ

This is like my 7ht email to different departments and nothing!

My 2020 Coleman by Dutchmen Lantern LT has been in your Bartow, FL dealer for about 10 months. We took it for hail damage repairs, my insurance company sent a check for the repairs (10 months ago) and still no RV. Every time I call, they transfer me, take a message etc. etc. and nobody seems to help or care. It’s like our phone calls bothers them. On February 2nd (this year) someone finally from Bartow spoke to us, and they stated the work was completed but a soft spot in the roof was found and they submitted a supplement to my insurance company. This is the first time I hear about this. I called the insurance company, and my claim representative said no supplement was received from Camping World. My insurance company called your company and supposedly they were going to send the supplement request. We are talking about a brand-new RV that we’ve used probably 4 times and that we make monthly payments for something we can’t use.

There’s no reason for a repair to take that long, especially when we are talking about a small RV. We were so excited when we first got this RV and from the beginning it’s all being problems. Leaking roof, fridge don’t work, water heater doesn’t work etc. We are so unhappy with our purchase, and since we are stuck with it, we would like to have it back. This RV is the definition of a lemon! I don’t understand the soft spot because from the beginning the RV has been covered and protected by a very expensive cover, I bought from you guys! I have pictures with dates. I have the pictures of the day the inspector came, and I have pictures of what my roof looks like now. I have no words.

BTW when we first brought it home, we discovered it was sold to us with a roof leak. We took it back after we discovered all the mold. We are talking about a brand-new RV. It was supposedly fixed. We took it for hail damages, the roof was in perfect condition (we think, it looks like it was not repaired when we first bought it) and now the pictures they send shows a destroyed moldy, ugly looking roof. So, we payed for a new RV, with a leaking roof and now you want to charge me to fix a roof that you sold me with a leak. You said the leak was fixed but the pictures tell a different story. It looks to me you guys left my RV without a cover for months at your repair shop. It is really sad how ignored we feel, and in the meantime, we keep paying for this lemon.

We will keep writing until someone cares.

Benny Aguilar

Desired outcome: You should give me a brand new RV. You sold us a deffective, non-working, leaking roof, bad fridge and water heater non workable thing.

They denied selling me a brand-new RV with a bad roof. They denied fixing my RV when I first bought it. I am so glad I found the initial work order! This is what I picked up on Saturday. Shame on the company. This woman from the Camping World office says my roof has been fixed in Bartow, FL ! What is she talking about? This is how my RV was returned because of their good for nothing overpriced extended warranty. They sold me a lemon! By the way, I bought the most expensive one to make sure this would not happen! Why does is says up there extended warranty resolved! Not true.

Camping World Camping World of Asheville

Camping World Service is a waste of your money and time. Their Technicians are not trained, and the turnover is high. The charge for fake services they don't or can do properly, and do not care about customer service. Continue reading to hear my issues.

Had a RV systems check done. Everything passed. However, after a few days at home, my Propane alarm went off. I replaces the sensor, since they checked for leaks already and it passed, and the sensor was about 6 or 7 years old. However that was not the problem. I purchase my own leak detector and found 3 propane valves leaking. There systems check, including a water column check of the propane found no leaks (and the water column check is supposed to be the most accurate). Must not be trained in the use of it, or just faked the check. After taking it back for the leak, they could only find 2 of the leaks (after I told them of the three leaks found and where). I havd to explain the 3rd leak location exactly, then they found it. This is RIDICULOUS. They were going to order parts, but after 133 days, and not hearing anything back from them, they lost track of the request for parts, then wanted me to pay over $1000 for them just to order them (for three valves). Again RIDICULOUS. Then they insisted I pay for work I already paid for, 4 months earlier. Again, RIDICULOUS. Then they said I need to order the parts. I spent and hour online and found all three, brand new. They said if I find the parts they would install them (for a cost) If that is the case I can go elsewhere. In any case I found all the parts within about an hour online (total, just over $200), not the over $1000 they claimed. Again, RIDICULOUS. And this is what they do for a business. Needless to say, I will have the parts installed elsewhere, with real technicians.

I also paid to have a Sealtech leak service, they indicated they found the leak, patched it up (charged for the test and the repair. But the leak is still there. There is a year warranty on the work, but taking it in may be a waste of time.

Ok keep in mind, the total time my RV was at Camping world was over a month (two trips, one for the initial service and Sealtech, and another trip to have them verify the leaks they missed, so they can order parts, they did not order, then say 4 months later I needed to pay $1000 in order to order parts, the could not find. RIDICULOUS.

I contacted Sealtech to inquire if they are qualified to do the Sealtech work. They indicated that should be. But Sealtech just sells the product. I guess Camping World just fakes it and takes your money.

So to summarize:

1. RV at Camping World for at least 3 weeks to do a System Check and the SealTech. Both of which they failed at doing correctly

2. Another week to have them verify what they missed with the Propane leak, which I had to find. Did they offer any credit for the inferior work they did and caused me to drive over an hour each was, twice for them to figure it out. "NO".

3. Not ordering the parts for 4 months, then telling me I had to pay over a $1000 for order the parts.

4. Claiming I had not paid a previous bill, and that is why they did not order the parts. Of which management had to figure out I already paid my previous bill.

5 They telling me I had to order the parts myself, they they would install (at there RIDICULOUS rates, with poor quality Technicians).

6. I ordered the 3 valves within about an hour for just over $200 with tax and shipping.

I found another RV repair, explained this to them. They seem to have heard about some of these same issue with Camping World, and there lack of quality service. I imagine, that is why they keep busy.

Desired outcome: Get there act together!

Less than a month ago I purchased a new travel trailer from Camping World of Bakersfield. The delivery and service have been horrible, to say the least. Camping World Poor service false information

Attempted to take advantage of relationship with Good Sam by using their discounts advertised on Camping world email ads. They offer Good Sam discounts on a few items, but when you order you lose the discount to shipping due to the discounts dropping you below the $69 shipping case. Also, does not add on 10% discount for being a good Sam member.

Additionally, there is an advertised "$20 instant savings" when you apply for a Good Sam Credit card. This is false. The savings do not show up instantly and when I spoke to (The most uncaring, borderline rude) customer Service rep, she said it is applied to your new card at first billing. This is not instant then, is it!

I did attempt to save by having the items go to "Pick up at store" to save on the exorbitant shipping cost (Which deleted my good Sam discounts) but the store had none of the items in stock so would not allow this. What a poor way to do business and I am surprised Good Sam would allow this company to dirty their reputation! They should be ashamed and I will pass this along to maybe someone who cares?

Desired outcome: Get your act together and stop cheating customers. Discounts should be discounts and not penalties. Your advertised discounts should be true
