Im not happy.
I have had my RV serviced at the Chattanooga location only since buying it. I will list the issues I've had with the service department with the most egregious first that I found.
My issues are with the actual work done and when I made a complaint in the past the service manager was most rude. And corporate never followed up on my complaint just pushed me back to the location mgmt.
I'm a disabled veteran and have difficulty doing my own maintenance and inspecting work done if I have to remove panels to check what was done. Nonetheless I have had to lately as I no longer trust that the Chattanooga service center is doing quality work.
First is the biggest safety issue. Several months ago I had an electric transfer box that the generator/store power etc had a burnout of one of the lines.
I had to stay in a hotel for several days while a new box was ordered and installed.
Last week, as I looked for a water leak (more on that in a moment) I removed the panels in the storage area under my 5th wheel. The electrical system has another short, so the underlying problem was never addressed. Addionally the new box was never installed properly and the safety cover of the current/old box left in the bilge of the rv. For the last several months the box has been exposed. I have not touched this system yet. I fear for my family having used the rv many weeks since that maintenance.
Second. The service center was paid when I purchased the rv to install a washer/dryer. It leaked almost immediately. I took it into the shop several times. The service manager insisted it was fixed and no longer leaking and replaced the wood that was damaged but layer I found it to be superficial. I noticed my subfloor warping and water damage along the bed and the previous wood that was replaced showed water damage again. I started the process of hunting down the leak. I took the washer and dryer out. I could see the previous repair attempt and an new cutout to access. I found it was the drain pipe leaking at an elbow due to poor installation. Additionally the trap was plumbed higher than vacuum break and with a very short standpipe, bad installation. It leaked under the support 2x4s, under the closet door track. Under the bed and under the linoleum. Found a way under to the rv storage pass through.
When given this information I was told they found no leaks and despite several other visits when I complained they did not inspect the leak or even record the request. So now say I never asked bc it's not in the system. We'll guess what, I have the texts from the service desk stating they did!
I have since replumbed the drain pipe and removed the damaged wood around the washer and the panels in the pass thru. The subfloor warp and bed area are still damaged as I don't have the ability to do the work myself. Attached are pictures. I cant believe this was ignored despite my many times trying to get resolution and then it was just covered up and the source not fixed. This caused mold growth and severe damage.
Additionally I found that the bathroom shower tracks were never caulked causing a leak underneath to damage the sink cabinet. Previous repair to the valve manifold for water was also dripping in several spots that I repaired. That was supposedly fixed at the service center and was not.
I've had to spend over $1,000 in materials so far and there are still fixes the most serious being the electrical and water damage/mold
I am not willing to let the service center touch my RV ever again and I call into question any work that I have paid for including a supposed hole in the roof membrane that I had inspected before taking to the shop and there was no hole. I strongly suspect that it was put there maybe gravel in a worker's shoe during inspection that they did not take responsibility for. I am meticulous with sweeping and inspecting my roof before every move and since the roof repair every time I take it to the shop I take a video of the roof membrane after I pull into the parking lot at the shop.

Camping World - Service. Replacement of 3 AC gaskets on our Motorhome
Camping World work order #175727
We have had some minor water leaks through our AC gasket, so we scheduled service with Chattanoga Camping world and reserved parts on Monday May 29,2023. Appointment for service was set for 8am Tuesday June 6,2023. The parts reserved were for Coleman one-piece 14"x14" gaskets. I wanted and paid for one-piece gaskets so there could not be any issues down the road with leaks.
The gaskets were replaced on 6/6. The motorhome was pulled in to the service bay at 8:10am and I was checked out and paid by 10am. The labor rate was questioned by me, as the labor rate listed was $180.00 per hour but I was charged $540.00. I was told by Coty Brown (the service writer) that the fee was a set fee per unit at $180.00 each, meaning the service should have taken 3 hours.
Arriving at our Campsite after leaving Camping World (Marion County Park in Chattanoga TN.) we setup for the day and used our front 2 AC's for the day. When it came time to go to bed we turned on our back unit and it wouldn't start. Tried it 4 different times with no results.
Called Coty (our service writer) and told him of the problem. He said he would send out a service tech. I asked him if the install tech had removed the wiring to install the gasket and he said no. I asked how the tech could install the gasket without removing and reinstalled the wiring and he assured me the tech knew how to do it. So, he scheduled Chad (mobile tech) to our campsite on 6/7 4pm ish. He removed the AC shroud and touched the coil enclosure and the unit started up. He removed the black duct tape from the coil cover (should have been metal tape... totally unacceptable to me) He checked the connections on the outside of the control box and said everything was good and left.
The unit would not start again the next night on Thursday. Called Coty on Friday morning and he told me Chad could come out late that day. Chad was delayed and ended up coming on Saturday 6/10. When Chad arrived he removed the shroud and started to remove the screws to access the control box and the fan started to work intermittently. He opened the control box and found one of the wires had been heated up going to one of the relays. He replaced the relay with a spare relay I had and the unit was fixed. A conversation we had during the service call, Chad told me that he had spoken to the service tech that installed the gaskets and he said that he never removed the wiring to install the gasket, he just cut the gasket, installed and then glued the gasket back together around the wires.
Please note that we have been full time for the last 8 months and have never had any AC issues until the install of the gaskets. I have had thousands of dollars of work done at the Kissimmee FL Camping World location. We are Good Sam members, Good Sam roadside Assistance members, Good Sam Travel assistance and are looking to move our motorhome insurance to Good Sam in August '23
Very disappointed, the issues I have are:
The install that was to have taken 3 hours to install (per your straight time charges), took less the 2 hours.
Obviously, the job was rushed, and care was not taken during the install.
The one-piece Colman gaskets purchased ($80 each) were cut and glued together to install with the AC units. Unacceptable!
Black duct tape (not even sealed good to the surface) was used to seal up the coil box and covers for the 2 additional screws that needed to be removed for the unit to be taken off.
Two wasted days of service (waiting and repair by Chad)
I have paid $871.71 for a totally unsatisfactory job.
FYI. I commend the attitude and work ethic of Chad. A great employee!

First and Foremost Do not I repeat Do not buy this Motorhome!
It has all kinds of problems. I went to see it from Ohio and was surprised at the shape it was in pictures did wonders for this coach. There was rust pits all over. the inside stunk. the slider window wall were loose. none of the electric blinds worked they even had the day shade zip tied up. The sales person named James was GREAT. But the store manager Roger was rude and nasty. They want 139, 000 for it I offered 125, 000 even thou I needed to fix a lot of stuff he would not come down. He said he had to much invested in it. I asked how long has the coach been there (expecting to here 6 mons) I heard 643 days...IOI. I said that is almost two years you had it here and you will not come down to 125, 000. I walked out. the coach needs ALOT of work. I did'nt know it set there that long. They could have told me. I would never had gone to see it if I knew that. So please pass this on so no one will get ripped off from this store. Thank you Dennis Wolfe
