2023 heartland mallard
So I purchased this trailer Nov of 22 and have been trying to get the warranty work done at camping world of Eugene. Ive had 3 different people draling with issues but no follow up. The Gm said im pushy and rude and told me to take my business elsewhere. Ive sent people to buy here and ove purchased a few in last 6 years. I just need trailer working right. And really don't want to deal with the lies and false promises of getting it fixed. Ive been waiting awhile. So next step is to blast company for not following thru with customer service.
Desired outcome: To get my trailer fixed
Pay off for my trade in.
July 12 2023 I purchased a forrester Motor home from dealership in Jackson, Ms. I traded in a forrest river motor home, that was financed thru US BANK. I have contacted US Bank numerous times since then and as of today they do not acknowledge that a pay off has been made. In addition another payment has been made to us bank thru auto pay from my bank. I...

My name is Rocky Schultz, a very unhappy Camping World customer. So let me tell you about my shopping experience with Camping World in Byron, Ga. I had made a deal for a travel trailer on Saturday 22 July and was scheduled to return at 3pm on Thursday 27 July. I arrived at the Byron location at 2:30 and located my salesman Christopher Canion. Let me pause...

I recently purchased a new tv at Camping World in Albuquerque NM. I’ve had it a week and my black water tank valve was not open even though it was in open position. The rod is not connected to the flap and my tank has filled the belly of my trailer. I now live in a tv that smells like a porta-potty and have been told I can’t get service for over a month! Is this issue even fixable or is my brand new home ruined? How do I get help to resolve this issue?
Desired outcome: Replace RV with same or comparable model or fix this and make it like the new tv I’m paying for

1. My RV (travel trailer) is currently still at the dealership. (Camping World of Birch Run) They were supposed to call me Monday or Tuesday this week at the latest to come in sit down with the store manager, the service manager, and 2 service reps that have been working with me, for a meeting to explain all the complications to me and to assure me the RV is now fixed. As well as I was asking them to extend my 1 year manufacturer warranty and to pay 1 year of my extended warranty that I purchased when I bought the brand new camper. They never called. I have sent them an email reminding them to contact me for this meeting as well as calling 2xs this week leaving a message for my rep Brittany to call me back and here it is Friday and I have not heard back this week from them. So maybe I will be bringing the camper home today or tomorrow if they call for the meeting. Otherwise I am to scared to bring the camper home as my manufacture warranty is expired as
of this month and they have yet to prove to me that they fixed the 1 major problem which was when I hooked the camper up to city water for some reason my holding tank would fill slowly fill with water (no water was put in there) I did not know this was happening, then once the holding tank became to full the water would leak into the belly of the RV. This problem I would like to explain without typing because its hard to describe. Anyway they have yet to address why this happened or guarantee it won't happen again. For other issues with the RV let me mention they have put a total of 3 new water pumps in it.
2. I dropped the camper off at the dealership October 10th after using it only 2 1/2 months for work purposes. They sent someone to the camper in September to fix the pump and a separate water leak under the kitchen sink, but the workers said at that time they could not fix the major water leak as they would need to do that at the shop. So the manager of service at thI at time Jeremy whom was in charge of my service said to finish my work assignment and bring the camper in when it was done which was October 10th 2022 that I dropped it off to have the major water leak fixed and many small problems fixed.
3. I bought this brand-new RV in Michigan
4. I purchased, picked up, and signed papers for this RV 7/12/2022
5. The cash asking price is $29,784.06
6. and 7. It's only been in the shop once technically but it's still there. And the day's total would be October 10th 2022 and still there as of this morning. so 7 months and 12 days. They did call me in March and this Month to say the RV was complete but in March when she called we talked out the work they did because I was in Florida working and we discovered while talking all the work was not complete. This month July they called to say it was complete and when I got there to pick it up they could not show me in writing or anything that any work was done to
fix the major water leak, they just said it didn't appear to be still leaking.
8. The RV is a 2022 East to West, Silver Lake 26KRB Trailer coach
9. I did purchase the extended warranty and I am still currently paying monthly for that
10. I have not sent a letter to the manufacturer at all. I feel that's the dealership's duty since it's not that old. Should I send one?
11. problems I've has. Major water leak from city water hook up to the underbelly of camper. water leak under kitchen sink. water leak under bathroom sink. water leak under table and couch (not sure which water leak caused that). Bent stabilizer bars before even using them the 1st time. Fridge handle broke the 2nd time using it. The lock on the door was broken like I could not use the dead bolt, only the regular lock. The automatic hitch blows fuses constantly when trying to use it. I think I've put about 10 fuses in it and the dealership put 2 in it the very 1st day I was there to pick it up. The slide out leaked once during a real bad rainstorm and the dealership just recommends buying a slide out cover. Then while at the dealership for repairs they noted the shower head got fixed. I don't know why because it was fine when I dropped it off. That's all I can think of at this time. It's been 7 months since I've had to, so my mind is a little foggy with it :)
The reps I've had to talk with are very nice and seem concerned when I am there but just cannot answer my questions or about the work that has been done. I think it's just been too long and the original person dealing with my camper back in September in the service department is not long there so I feel that has caused confusion as well. Nobody can find this form I filled out with all the complaints on it back from that October date. Even one of the service reps stated if it were her brand new RV and the 1 year manufacturer was now expired she too would not pull it off that lot until it's proven it's fixed. They all keep saying over and over as well how they have all new service people because the service people there when I dropped the camper off were not doing their jobs. I also had another camper I dropped off there last year . They called and said the work was complete. It was also a brand new camper that I had purchased from them right before this one. I took the camper to Florida for work and had nothing but problems from day one. Used that camper for 3 months or so and took it back to them to be fixed. They called a month later and said it was mostly fixed (long story) but I got nervous about that camper and decided to get a bigger one. So when I got there to pick up the 2nd new RV, they parked them side by side so I could get my stuff out of the 1st bought camper and I noticed then absolutely nothing that was visible that they were to fix was fixed yet 3 weeks prior I got the call that it was done. So I don't know about that. I just figured it's not my problem anymore but now I'm too scared to take my 2nd new one home.
Thank you for any help you can provide me with my new RV
Kammy Abbott
update: Last Tuesday 7/25/23 I picked up the travel trailer they said the pump was replaced 3 times total which is what fixed the water going into the fresh water tank and overflowing into the belly of the travel trailer while hooked up to city water. I have yet to know forsure and Im still scared to have it since my warranty was 1 year they had it for 8 months of the one year and now my warranty is expired. Also after getting my camper home these are the issues I have noticed without actually using it yet. I sent this email to my service representative :
I came to Virginia on Sunday for work and my grandson was born so it's been busy for me to call. But I have a few issues. After working 3 days straight after bringing the camper home Tuesday night I was not able to get into it til Saturday. 1st the keys handed to me were for the old mallard the 1st camper I had from there was the little tag on them say Kammy Abbott Heartland Mallard and the key I had at my house still for the East to West won't work probably because they fixed the lock. They did not lock the door before I took it. I assumed they did that day, but they didn't probably because the keys won't work. I need keys mailed to me or something that fit, or someone can come deliver them and make sure they work.
2nd upon walking into the camper once home, they left water in both my grey tanks showed 2 lines and black tank had 1 line showing it had water in them. I figured it happened while checking all the water leaks and stuff, but I towed it home like that, and that's not right. It makes the camper heavier for my truck to pull. Then the kicker and it's not no joke, the black tank when I released it literally human puke or [censored] came out of it. What the heck. Before bringing it and leaving the campground last October I not only flushed the system thoroughly while hooked to the sewer still I even flushed the black water through the extra flush valve that camper water and toilet lines were flushed and cleaned very thoroughly. I'm working tomorrow down here and will call Thursday but please forward this on to all Managers and staff this needs to be known. Once I noticed the [censored] coming from the black tank. I ran into grab my phone to video and take pics, the smell was absolutely horrid, and I had to literally clean the grass with the hose. That is just crazy to do to someone's camper while it's there and you guys need to find out who did it and make sure they aren't doing it to all the campers there. And I need keys asap for a job that starts back in Michigan on 8/14 and I should not have to be the one to have to come get them this time.
Please help.
Thanks
Kammy Abbott

In January we were contacted by a representative from Camping World I. bossier, La. He was wanting to buy our motorhome. He again reached out to us in April of 2023.., offering an agreeable price. I attempted to sell my 2016 forest river, Salem villa estate destination trailer at the Las Vegas location. We emptied our trailer and 120° weather to travel across town for inspection. The consignment specialist told me they were not interested in the vehicle once they found out it was a destination trailer/and the toilet did not work. They did not turn on the water or see that it is a ceramic true, standing toilet, and the tank was empty. They laughed at my wife’s face and disrespected her when all we did was try to provide them with a quality vehicle for sale. I contacted corporate headquarters and they said there was nothing they can do and that the store says we are no longer welcome at Camping World simply because we tried to sell them our trailer and provide them with quality merchandise on their lot. The worst customer service the worst experience , the worst location that I’ve encountered in my two years of traveling in an RV no doubt I am not the only one that has problems with Camping World. Of course they’re a large corporation and their word goes but the personnel at the corporate headquarters needs to know their locations and people out there are not doing their job not knowledgeable in the industry and not willing to try to work with a customer , I went down the road and got an immediate offer well over what they had even spoken to me about on the phone so to me it was obvious that it was quality merchandise. They didn’t want to take the time to do their job. Thanks to those professionals. I sold my trailer and I’m continuing my travels , but it will never be stopping at a Camping World anywhere in America.
Desired outcome: That people looking for quality seek it elsewhere.

This camper is supposed to be made for colder weather with enclosed water pipes to prevent them from bursting. We purchased our RV from camping world on 2/19/2022. We had numerous repairs. We returned it to Camping World in Liberty Lake, WA for the repairs, one of the 14 repairs was to replace carpet under couch and dining table. When we picked it up 7/7/2022 and put the slide out in ripped the flooring. Returned next day and they used the wrong screws when replacing carpet. They taped the flooring and ordered new to be replaced again. When they received the flooring we returned it again 10/20/2022 and it was there until 1/16/2023. during this long time it was there, they were to complete the long list of repairs. The flooring, the counter top and the shower head, etc. When we went camping for the first time after the repairs, we found the counter top had screws through the top and the shower still leaked. We returned once again, they ordered a new counter top, again. We were told the shower head arrived in January after the work order was closed. We were not told the shower was not fixed. We were told they would fix it, that the shower head was there. When we picked it up we were told it was not the shower head it was the faucet, and our warranty was up. SHE SAID WE SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT IT IN SOONER. LIKE 4 TIMES IS'NT ENOUGH. The shower leaking was on a work order before warranty was up. WE NEW THE SHOW HAD A PROBLEM MONTHS BEFORE WARRANTY WAS UP.
Desired outcome: Fix the shower under warranty. No cost to us.
Service/parts/oem
My name is George
I had a tire blowout on my camper driver side which in turn tore off both parts of the fender skirting
Early May 2023
So my wife and I take the time to go to Hope Mills Camping World service department and explained to the male person setting behind the counter and even shown pictures of the damage. The individual said that all he needed was a vehicle ID, so it was provided (Vehicle ID 4YDF3402XE4700521). Asked how long would it take to order and he said that he sent out an email and we should have an answer in a few days. My email and phone number was provided.
13 June, after a long wait I called the parts department and they said that they had no record and transferred me to the OEM department. I should have gotten his name and recorded Date & Time, my mistake, I did not :(
13 June, [protected]@2:30 PM, Mr. Justin also searched and had no record of the order. Explained to Justin what I needed provided Vehicle ID 4YDF3402XE4700521 and supposedly he ordered fender skirts for both sides, $230.00 each and shipping UPS $45.00. Asked how long? He stated probably this Friday a week at the most, will call me when they come in.
It's now 26 June and nothing...
So I call there around 12:30 PM and was told that nothing could be found but would give me a call back.
3:30 PM, nothing, so I call back and asked what was going on and was told that that there was no one at the OEM desk and would have them call me back.
4:30-ish I call and ask for a service department manager and was told that he wasn't at his desk and would leave a message for him to call.
5:15 I call back again and was told that he wasn't in so I asked for any manager and was told that there was no one to take my call. I'm not surprised, unless you're making a purchase they never call back or keep the customer informed.
Just so you know, I remember when it use to be Hawley's Camping, their service department sucked and the service now Camping World has taken over has only gotten worst and it's been going down hill ever since. What's really funny is that the personnel there stated that the store and service department just had a complete overhauled. Same pig, just a different color.
Since buying this camper from Camping World believing that they have changed then and buying what was suppose to be a top line 2014 Montana my experience with both has been very disappointing.
My wife and I have been in the market for a class A or B, and you can rest assured that I won't be making a purchase from Camping World.
I hope the two fender actually come in and they can suck up the cost of not keeping their customer in the loop.

Service
I recently purchased a 2023 Thor Axis in December of 2022 and opted for an extended and upgraded warranty. Unfortunately, I've had nothing but problems since then, and the customer service at the service shop in Windham, Maine has been incredibly disappointing.
First and foremost, my main control panel doesn't work, the AC is non-functional, and even the wiper blades fell off the rig. These are significant issues that have hindered my enjoyment of the vehicle and caused numerous inconveniences.
After waiting for over six months, I finally took my rig to the service shop, only to be met with an extremely rude and unhelpful team. To make matters worse, they managed to lose my keys, and when I expressed my frustration, they dismissed it and made me sign paperwork with a promised completion date of June 22. It appears that their concept of a promise date holds no value whatsoever.
When I reached out to VIP at Camping World, hoping for some resolution, I was met with further disappointment. Heather, one of their representatives, even laughed at me when I mentioned wanting to speak with Marcus. It's disheartening to encounter such misleading advertising and poor treatment from a company that should be prioritizing customer satisfaction.
At this point, I still have no clear direction on when my issues will be resolved, and I've had to cancel yet another trip due to their incompetence. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with Camping World to think twice. The level of service and professionalism I've experienced thus far has been abysmal, and I wouldn't wish this experience upon anyone.
Desired outcome: I would like my brand new 2023 to be fixed

I went to Ridgeland SC on May 20 to see some RVs that were under $15,000. I got there about an hour before closing and was shown two RVs. We dropped our unit of at our liberty Lake Camping World for warranty work. It has been two months since we dropped it off and only one item has been repaired since then. We keep getting different reasons why they haven’t done the work mostly blaming the manufacture. However, I have contacted the manufacture, and their information is contrary to what we’re being told! Just recently, we asked if we could pick our trailer up and take it elsewhere and we’re unable to do so because the tail light is still not repair placed though they have had authorization over a month ago to fix it. we were told it would be fixed the following day. It is now a week later and we still cannot pick it up and no work has been done! When we ask questions at service desk, we are treated as though we are a problem and are not treated with professionalism, but rather with distain! We cannot get any return calls from either management, or from anyone in the service department, with the exception of maybe two calls with no follow up. I would never recommend anyone taking their unit to be serviced at Camping World, nor to buy anything from Camping World!
Desired outcome: At least fix the tail light so we can legally drive it off their lot and take it to someone who is willing to do the work and treat us as a we’re the customer and not a privilege to take it to them!

In Nov 2022 we purchased a Winnebago Journey 2008 from Camping World - Chattanooga TN. Quick back story-Our fuel pump went on our 1998 RV. We were on our way to AZ and broke down in Knoxville TN. After getting a ridiculous estimate (12K) to repair it from Freightliner in Knoxville, we decided to sell it for practically nothing and started our search for another RV.
10 days later we ended up at Camping World - we purchased a 2008 Winnebago that my boyfriend found online. The best we could do given the fact we were paying hotel fees had 2 cats with us. We saw it and liked it.
We were at the Camping World several times before we purchased it - the 1st 2 times there was no mention of it being sold as is - no sticker on the windshield and nothing in writing. And it certainly was not priced like an "as is". However, the day we were completing the paperwork all of a sudden the term "as is" being said left and right. We asked why it wasn't mentioned before, and we never got an answer. Looking back, I know we were played - the sales guy in training was Tomer - knew nothing and the guy training him - Steven kept taking off. We literally had to figure everything out on our own.
I have to admit I had a bad feeling because of their demeanor, but with 2 cats in the car waiting for us, no money left for hotel we thought this is a big company - this should be safe. They knew we were stuck and had to move forward. our 1st 2 nights in the RV, it would not convert to electric when plugged in. We did identify that there was a power issue prior to purchasing because the microwave clock was not on. We told Steven - the guy training Tomer - he had service look at it and they got it to come on - We asked numerous times how did they get the electric to work but we were ignored. At the time all they would say it was fixed - not an issue anymore. We had to take their word for it as it was impossible for us to test it ourselves at the dealership. It was in a parking lot with no way to plug it in.
Completely frustrated that we were running our battery down, I emailed Marcus Lemonis - and to my surprise he set us up with Little Rock AR Camping World. The Manager of the service dept said we needed a new inverter and there was no way that Chattanooga could have not known this. He agreed they hid it from us - concealment. However, this job was done on their dime. They did resolve it. And the electric is ok now. But to go thru that days after a purchase is so wrong.
Once in AZ for a few months, the AC doesn't work the 1st time we turned it on. My boyfriend figured out what it needed and replaced the motor. $600 and it was fixed. Now we are in June 2023- ready to go back east - but now our airbags will not inflate when we start the RV. And like Chattanooga Camping World, the mechanics around here are shysters. We are having technician #2 coming today and they all cost a minimum of $650 just to diagnose - and they don't even have to be right - just for driving to and from our site where we are stuck they walk around tire kick, insult us for wanting to be RV owners, and off they go $650 richer. so far no one can figure it out.
What a shame it is that as soon as we say a 2008, I feel like everyone says oh but it's older - you should know this will happen. Should I? When we already know they knew and concealed the bad inverter. I am a consumer - it's my job to hold my end of the purchase agreement - not to be a mechanic. Had I known that everytime we try to drive or use the amenities they sold us on, this RV would fail costing us our savings and ruining our credit because we have to keep extra funds for this failing mobile home - had we known we would had high tailed from Little Rock to Chattanooga and we would had rescinded this purchase back in November. Is there anything we can do when we have had 3 substantial issues in just 7 months - and we have been parked most of the time!
Desired outcome: I want them to take this RV back and refund us plus damages- cost for new AC motor , and cost of technicians, and all new parts we have bought in trying to rectify the airbags not inflating.
Poor service, misleading in sales
Purchase a 2007 Holiday Rambler in December 16, 2023. Some items were agree on to be fixed by the recommendation of the GM, which one was a slide for the bedroom for $4,000.00. Slide has to be hand pushed to get it started in after using it on 1st night. Mount for front tv was mounted incorrectly, ripped front window shade. Which they incorrectly mounted. Request another propane leak test due to propane odor by fridge. They said no leak was found, but propane tank was so empty it wouldn't lite a stove burner. Water leak was found under fridge after running water pump, openned cover under fridge and found mold. Antenna for tv lost power. Engine seal leaking between timing cover and engine block. Dash AC quit working. Large slide awning was removed totally, when asked only the fabric only to be removed. Unit was to been PDI! I also had to replace all of the dry rotted tires before making a trip.
Desired outcome: All items addressed fixed to a useable condition. Camping World won't even look at the unit. New GMis giving us push back instead of working anything out. Gas leak wad to been repaired in January before we picked up coach.
I would start also by having quaillty control. Pdi was not accomplish, or we wouldn't je having these issues. Some needs to clean house and have so accountible.
