I am writing as a concerned individual who witnessed the hiring manager at the Burger King location at 20699 N. John Wayne Pkwy, in Maricopa, Az 85139 on May 12, 2026, discriminate and stereotype a young gentleman that was applying for a job. He entered at approximately 2pm to meet with the manager for an interview. The manager had him waiting while she interviewed two other individuals that came in after he did. An hour and a half later the gentleman was still waiting and the manager didn't even take the time to interview him herself; she had a regular associate interview him and the associate told him he would hear back from management at a later time. Within an hour of leaving the Hispanic female that was interviewed before the gentleman, who had showed up at least an hour after the gentleman had arrived received an email that she was hired. It's ashamed how she took the time to interview the Hispanic individuals but ignored the young gentleman who appeared to be black. I know this because I dropped off both individuals for the interviews. The young gentleman had been told on a previous day to return on that day because the hiring manager would be there, and she didn't even take the time to interview him, but she interviewed the Hispanic female while he was waiting and then hired her. This is discrimination at its finest and I will never again purchase at this organization again. As an organization you should not have management that discriminates against individuals based on race or ethnicity. We should be giving all individuals equal opportunities.
