improper handleing of fellow employees
I was on my way to work and decided to stop at Braums for a breakfast burrito, while there I went to restroom upon exiting the restroom I heard some yelling in the back, when looking to see the source of the commotion, I noticed a young man early to mid 20s yelling and screaming to another employee (female between late 30s early 40s) about salads calling her a liar and otherwise generally degrading her in front of other employees and customers.I am a business owner and to hear someone treating a co worker with that type of demeanor, i would suspend that employee, until attitude was corrected

Is My Employer Required to Give Me a Rest Break?
There is no federal law requiring employers to give employees rest breaks during the work day. However, 7 states do require employers to give rest breaks:
■California - 10 minute break for every four hours worked provided that the work day is at least five hours long
■Colorado - 10 minutes for every four hours worked
■Kentucky - 10 minutes for every four hours worked
■Minnesota - "Reasonable" amount of time in a four-hour period "to use the restroom"
■Nevada - 10 minutes for every four hours worked
■Oregon - 10 minutes for every four hours worked
■Washington - 10 minutes for every four hours worked
To qualify as a "break, " the employee must be fully relieved of his duties.
Is My Employer Required to Give Me a Meal Break?
Similarly, there is no federal law requiring employers to give employees meal breaks during the work day. However, 17 states do have statutes requiring meal periods during the work day. For example:
■California - 30 minutes after 5 hours, if the workday is at least 6 hours
■Illinois - 20 minutes after 5 hours, if the employee will work at least 7½ hours
■New York - One hour
Are the Laws Different for Different Groups of Employees?
Many states do have different requirements if the employee is a minor. For example, Florida does not have any state law requiring rest or meal breaks. However, in Florida, employees under the age of 17 are entitled to a 30 minute break for every 4 hours of work. Some states have different requirements depending on the nature of the work, i.e. factory workers.
Is My Employer Required to Pay Me During My Rest or Meal Breaks?
Federal law does not require the employer to give you a rest or meal break. However, for employers that do provide break time, federal law mandates that any breaks of 5-20 minutes must be compensated by the employer. However, a break lasting 30 minutes or more is not considered "compensable time" and the employer is not obligated to pay you.
Filthy bathrooms makes you want to go away
My wife and I were traveling to Tulsa, Ok on March 3, 2010. We stopped in at the Braums store in Seminole, Ok and was going to grab a quick breakfast and then continue on. My wife decided to use the bathroom before eating. When she came out of the bathroom she said we need to just go and not eat. The bathroom was filthy. The thing was so dirty, poop still in stools and floors filthy. Not a appetizing site. It makes you wonder what the employees are like when using this facility and then returning to the kitchen. My only complaint about Braum's stores is usually the bathrooms. I very seldom will go to the bathroom in a Braums because of the filthy conditions. I would ask everyone to check out the bathrooms before you eat. If you do, you will probably go elsewhere.
Thumbs down on this establishment
I would like to voice my complaint and frustration about the service at the Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store in Tulsa, OK. On Garnett Rd. My husband, daughter and I made a special trip for a meal and ice cream treat at this store. When we went inside there were several customers randomly standing around the counter in no special order. We got in, what we perceived to be, the line behind the two signs that stated 'Order Here'. Customers continued to come in and were and were repeatedly waited on at the ice cream counter while my husband, daughter and I were standing right at the cash registers under the "Order Here" signs. We noticed people getting frustrated and walking out of this store because of the chaotic way of making an order. They were only interested in waiting on customers who were crowded around the ice cream section. Which was Not a noted order section. There were 3 or 4 staff members who only catered to the ice cream counter customers and totally ignored the cash register order lines. There was one man, whom I perceived to be the manager, who spent the entire 20 minutes we were at this counter with his back to us making a milkshake and talking on his head set. Not once acknowledging the customers right behind him and under the two "Order Here" signs. I do not remember how many customers were lost that night, but I do know one of them were us. We will never return to this location ever again. I'm not certain that I ever want to give my business to any Braum's locations if this is what I can expect for service. I will take my business elsewhere and get treated the valued customer I am. My guess is that this company does not want or need the business of anyone that is not ordering ice cream first. We were planning on eating at this establishment and enjoying an ice cream after our meal. As it was we left and had a very nice meal at the Tally's Food Cafe farther down the road on Rt.66. Thumbs down on this establishment. You have lost a very good customer and we will not be recommending this establishment to any of our friends.

The Braums at Mustang Rd. And I-40 served me a raw, pink, cold burger the manager on location was more helpful then corporate when I tried to contact them on their policies. They do not care about customer satisfaction, I got a generic email which gave a lot of lip service saying how concerned they were and how a DM would contact me to fix any problems I had, and guess what no response from anyone. To me if the cared about the customer they would give you an actual number at corporate to contact someone to fix problems that a store cannot fix instead of only providing an email so they can contact you at their convenience or choose to not contact you at all. Anyway after a raw burger and poor customer service I am done with Braums and looking forward to the Dairy Queen opening up in Yukon, Ok. So I can give them my business. It looks like the story will be in reverse this time, like a poster commented earlier on how when Braums was on their game the DQ's started to thin out in the area, but looks like now it is going to be the other way around. I will do my best to spread the word on my disappointing visit and how upper management at Braums handles problems with their customers.
I went to the Braums in Van Buren Arkansas on Pointer Trail today to get an ice cream that was wrong in the past. A couple of months ago I paid for a Chocolate Almond and got a PLAIN Chocolate waffle cone. I called them and they said I could come and get another and would write my name down. So, I went today to get it and I was told I couldn't have it replaced because it has been over 30days. NO ONE told me I had to get it with in 30days and the manager didn't even come to the window to speak to me. Poor employee had to listen to me complain which shouldn't be his job. I was to the point were if I wld have got it I wld have just thrown it away just to prove that it was my money to do what I want with it and if I want a Chocolate Almond and pay for a Chocolate Almond thats what I should get! If I want to throw it away then its my money and I can do that too! Not just give it to BRAUMS...
And I thought the *terrible service and shockingly rude and disrespectful behavior by many Braums employees was restricted to the locations in TX. Looks like it's a company-wide policy. Do NOT reward this terrible company with your business. Ban them like I have.
Today I went to the Braums in Arlington, TX of Matlock Rd. I have never experience anything like this before. Braums Management Staff treating customer wrong. How can you oversee a staff when you don't have the customer service to train your own staff.
We have a nearly new store in Elk City Oklahoma. REally sad to see it getting dirty and not being cleaned up. Sitting at one of the booths, we say dirt on the window ledge and the blinds were filthy. Please do some checking and keep it clean.
We were treated rudely by the manager when we noticed we were being over charged, and the food was bad! @brand new location 2001 Nw 164th St Edmond OK
My wife and I purchased a 3 pint tub of peanut butter cup yogurt at Braums. To make a long story short she choked on a gray 1/2 inch by 38th sharp on both ends metal object.Yes no exageration on both counts sharp and chocked like a 46 year old child!I was shocked too put it very lightly when we seen this object. The size and sharp piercing ends you could see this was a part of machinery broke off "Mine and other's opinion only"Now for you skeptics that our thinking suck it up and drive on!I attempted to take several picture's of this object and notify company as to be alert and possibly alert public.I am a amatuer with photography due to size and lighting on object. But you can get the jest.I received a reply back to give object to them.Is this the proper response.I made conversation at work and church for the peanut gallery's thoughts".The curse word layer came up every time, .I am stating facts here to this and asking if anyone else had this in their frozen yogurtI crunched some numbers as I know staff by name;.We spend no less then $1500:.00 a year at Braums/.I mean who is kidding who the 1% milk is better then any whole milk out on the market".This happened 4th July 2013 what gets me is my children, Grandchildren will only drink this milk"Cant even fool them"What if this was a child anyone's child choking on this?.As it was scary seeing a adult of excellent health choking as it shamed me with my reaction as I took light of it till I seen the situation was more then a piece of butter cup;.Has anyone had this as well?
Yep, greedy kids syndrome indeed.
It is a shame that BRAUMS fired good management it there store to keep the horrid management in there store in Midwest city, ok where I live this is the case at all 3 stores we need dairy queen back in okc, ok and maybe BRAUMS will get the service back that put dairy queen out of business. Drew and Elain Braum which are running the company should be ashamed this is not what Bill Braum built. Greed kids syndrome.
jeez, grow up already junior
Awful manager
I was at Braums in Monett MO. Sun. August 26, 2007, the food was great, but the manager on duty was rude, loud, discourtious to the customers and the employees. I felt so sorry for the casheir. The manager kept yelling at her while she was ringing our order up. and i might add the manager was in the back and yelling to the front. we ordered milk shakes . the casheir told the manager we wanted med size and the manager yelled back and ask if that is what we paid for. If i go there again (and i say if) ill make sure that manager is not on.

Visited the Braum’s store in Neosho, MO on Nov 10 @6:30 pm.
Everywhere is looked as if it had not been cleaned for weeks. Bverage area, counters, floors, windows, tables, glass divide… all filthy.
Hamburgers and fries both were brought out cold, buns & meat. Cheese not melted on patty.
On 8/27/23 at 8:15 a.m. The employee would not let me use the bathroom without making a purchase first. I left because I was about to pee on myself.
Got a double dip choc Sundae and two choc mixes . Sundae had half scoops and mixes were not full
I am in Dumas TX and this is the second time in a few weeks I have received a bad salad. Been in Ponca City OK and frequently purchased a salad with no problems, always fresh. But not here at home.
Me and my husband went out to the Anadarko Braum'S for ice cream and my husband ordered 2 scoops of Maple Walnut ice cream and was told because they were running low on that flavor she would only be able to serve him 1 scoop. We both had looked at the choices they offered again and they clearly had about 1 third of a bucket left.I Don't understand these procedures. Is there some reason to withhold what a consumer is requesting. We usually spend a lot of money at the store and have since decided to rethink our buisness. If we can not recieve the things we would like to purchase in the portions we request then maybe we should shop elsewhere. We have supported our local community and buisnesses during the hard times and wish they felt that we were needed to keep their buisness going.
My wife and I were traveliag to Tulsa, Ok on Wed. 2/10/2010. We stopped in at the Braums store in Seminole for a quick breakfast. My wife needed to use the restroom so she went before we ordered. When she came out of the restroom her first comment was, we need to go somewhere else. The restroom was so filthy we could not imagine eating there. The floors, stools, wash basins and all were nasty. Poop in the stool. I realise some people will leave a restroom with poop in stool but this was not a once in a moment situation. You could just tell the poop had been there for a long while and the other items didn't get filthy in just a few visity. I can just imagine the employees returning to the kitchen after using the restroom. They couldn't have washed up and got clean if they wanted to. As far as I am concerned, the restrooms are a direct reflection on the cleanliness of the kitchens I would chalenge everyone to just visit the Braums restrooms before eating and you will know what I am talking about. Come on Braums! We customers are not your dairy cows who stand in poop and eat. NASTY PLACE!
So someone pooped in the stool? Isn't that statement a bit redundant? Stool is another word for poop
