horrible food / service
Ordered over 60 dollars in ribs and got the # ribs ever, they forgot the cheese bread we paid extra for and when I called they where rude and said all they would do is send out some cheese bread. The sixty dollars in ribs was #, I dont care for your c*y cheese bread I want a refund for the c*y food u sold me. Horrible horrible service and I will never order from there again!

In summary, do not go if you are going alone because Boston Pizza does not seem to welcome individuals. I've included the email+fax I had sent to them detailing the situation, which I have not received a reply yet still (I've tried emailing/faxing to both head office+eastern coast office + online compliant).
"I've sent an email earlier but never received a response. I want to make a complaint regarding the manager, Lorne, at the Sheppard & Yonge Boston Pizza in Toronto. I am sending this fax hoping that the head office will hear my situation.
On Wednesday June, 16th, 2011 at around 20 min to 8p.m., I was waiting for a table at the restaurant. I waited for a long time and noticed that people behind me on the waiting list were already getting seated. I heard the waitress telling the couple behind me that they will be next after me, meaning that I will be the next one to be seated, so when the couple got seated before me, I asked the waitress. The waitress told me that it was because I had only one person, so the manager would only give me a seat if a space is available at a bar, and that the small tables were only given to two people, to fill up the seats. However, I saw that three people were being seated at four-people tables, and specifically the couple who got seated before me in the end was seated at a four-people table. I even saw three men seating at a six-people table. So why are people who are eating alone being discriminated? It was nearly impossible to wait for a seat to free up at the bar as everyone there was staying to watch the Stanley Cup. Is Boston Pizza not welcoming people eating alone there? I do not remember a policy about not letting customers sit at small tables if he or she is alone. I asked the waitress if there is any such policy, and she said it's the "manager's policy". After talking to the manager, he was extremely impolite and rude, and still insisted on his policy, and it was the waitress who in the end paired me up with another single person that I finally got a table.
I know that Boston Pizza is a franchise, and I have never experienced such problem at another branch. I hope the head office will clarify for me if there is such a policy so I will not go if I am eating alone. If there is not, I hope this issue will be dealt with as I was being treated unfairly. If there really is a "fill the seats" policy, then it should be applied consistently to everyone, meaning that three people should not be allowed to sit at four-people tables, etc. I totally understand that it would be unfeasible to sit an individual at a big table, but I believe that the Sheppard & Yonge Boston Pizza branch should treat individuals fairly, not limiting them to sit at bars, and will not put them last on a waiting list just because they are eating alone.
Please give me a response. Thank you for your attention to your matter."

I am surprised that the manager did not call the police or CPS, it is clear that you are four years old when you mistook following company policy as rude.
This Boston Pizza is by far the worst in the country...the owners do not care about their customers one bit! The one bold manager rolls his eyes every time you talk to him like he cant be bothered with you. Then they have the worst bar staff ever seen, I don't know who miss piggy thinks she is but she needs to be fired now! Don't do them any favours by providing business for them, they don't deserve it!
Maybe this guy did not go for Pizza. Perhaps he went for something else. They serve other food besides pizza so if he had a craving for other food than those pizza locations are of no use to him.

Boston Pizza's Menus for pizza advertise the following sizes and prices for their pizzas; individual is 8 inches for 10$, small is 10 inches for 16.50, and up from their to 15" for the largest. Going to this particular bps, the service is always crappy, and one employee took the cake!... And my dad's credit card!
My father got a phonecall from his credit card company asking if he had been in calgary the past weekend. He said no. Apparently what happened was that my father forgot his card at the restaraunt, the employee took it and spent it until it was declined!
I have no idea what actions my parents are going to take... But it better be severe for that employee!

Because I am posting this on all the social media networks (facebook, hotmail, yahoo, gmail . . . ) because I had such an aweful experience at Boston Pizza ! ! ! My understanding is - having Pizza in your name - you should be able to cook a pizza ? ? ? When my waitress brought out my frozen cold pizza and skipped off to many other tables while serving other food items . . . she forgot about our table ! Then when she finally took the pizza back to the kitchen - she came back with other food items for other tables - and then finally brought our pizza to our table and once again - it was frozen cold ! ! ! Decided to go to boston pizza across from cntower with my family who were visiting for the first time from australia. When we arrived at the restraunt hostess let us no it would be a 35min wait...after some thought we had decided to wait..maybe not the best decision with 6 adults and two babies.
After waiting 45 min and watching them sit other large parties before us we were directed upstairs and told we would have to leave stroller downstairs...since it took 20 min to get babe to sleep it was a shame to wake him to walk up the stairs to our seats when there was seating on main floor. Arrived at table and asked for two high chairs...we were brought booster seats which worked fine for two year old but not for 9 month old. aked waitress if we could please have one high chair. atter waiting 10 min proceded to ask hostess...no problemmm after another ten min waitress takes order and tells us that there would be an automatic 15 % grat added to our bill because we are a large party? Still no high chair for baby when food starts to arrive...went to speak to manager explained our problems with the resturant...spoke to hostess high chairs arrived promptly. This made for a very worst of dinners I have ever had anywhere. If they dont want to cater to families then say so...just a foot note..when arrived upstairs several tables empty...why the wait I dont know...very bad experience.
Hi, just returned from Boston Pizza here in Yellowknife. My partner had a delicious tropical pizza and I ordered the parmesan chicken. Trying to be aware of what I eat (female) I order a side of vegetables and ceasar salad. Watching Jim T. on Dragons Den for years I am sure he would be appalled at the condition of the vegs (which I couldn't eat and the rust on my lettuce in the salad. I spoke to the manager who said he would speak with the cook and that was it.
The chicken was good. They gave us 2.00 off the meal (yeah) .
I just got the feeling nothing will be done and that's just the way it is.
Does anyone south care about us here in the north or is it just the money. It was just a sluggish unhealthy feeling Boston Pizza.

Go read my original post, and look for the lines that I was on the phone with my credit card company at the time of the incident twice. There are very intelligent people in this world, and you are not one of them. I freakin do know about the gas station at the pumps, but they are not aksing for tips you [censored]. It is to ensure you don't run off without paying for your gas at the pump. And besides if the resturants all did that, I would have known about it a long time ago. Not sure what credit card company you worked for, but it sounds like one of those low down ones that is full of stupid people just like you. Because I asked the acting manager to charge it another way, and he refused was the real I was mad. And oh yeah, the girl denying that they were even doing any such thing also ticked me off. Get your facts straight! The fact that still we begging for a tip such as 17%, and was very unworthy of it because of the poor customer service while we were eating our dinner. That just shows me they were desperate to keep their doors open. So, again get your facts straight, and have a goodnight.
I just want to clarify that I've worked for credit card processors and this is/was standard practice to pre-auth for more than the value of the bill at a restaurant so the tip would be covered. This was never illegal as stated by Supermonkey30, this was standard practice and the value was simply a pre-auth and the extra credit would be released within days.
Same thing happens when pre-authing your card to fill up at the gas station, it automatically pre-auths let's say 100$, you fill your car up then it releases the remaining amount.

terrible food
I ordered the chicken marsala to go from this place since I heard good things about their pizza. I figured the platters must be good too. Boy was I wrong. First of all, the linguine noodles were overcooked and drenched in a butter/chicken broth mixture, the chicken looked like it was cooked by being thrown in a pot of boiling water and there was NO marsala wine in the sauce whatsoever. It did not even have any mushrooms on it like it was supposed to. There were 2 young kids working there at the time, not long before closing. What would have been the point to go back and complain. If they're going to have kids working there, they need to be shown how to cook! I will just never go back again, ever.

Ceaser salad is over priced and now apparently when ordered by delivery does not come with parmesan. For a 4 ingredient over priced salad this is unacceptable & false advertising. As I said this is not one time it's been for all my orders this last year from many diff locations

Enjoying going to Boston pizza but with my newly discovered egg allergy there is nothing for dessert! All deserts including the icecream cake have egg. Can you pls find a desert for us egg sufferes that is as yummy as all the things you offer.

We ordered a medium deluxe pizza and a pint sized cheese pizza with fries. The deluxe was missing mushrooms and the fries in the kids meal were completely cold. We returned the kids pizza once when it came with pepperoni. This was an online ordered picked up at the Levis, QC location at 489 route du Pont, Monday, Jan 2. I'd like my $36.19 back.

I always order the spaghetti and meatballs and it never has enough sauce. This time I ordered it with extra sauce and there was even less than usual. I get sent 20 minutes out of my way to get food from here every week. I have never had anything disappointing. We always stick to the specials or the mediteranian food. The pizza is awesome, the wraps are great, and the salads are fantastic!

first time 20 april 2016 going to boston pizza in trenton ont canada, my daughter and i went for lunch for my birthday, i order your bbk salad, when recieved michel the waiter notice i was picking out all the brussel sprouts, they were brown, my daughter order the shrimp tacos, they came with small white hairs, which were actually the same as the manager mustache, disgusting place will never go back

You do not need free food you need a job so you can afford to pay for food you ate.
I will likely be contacting bylaw services about this... It is now 3:20 AM and the Boston pizza parking lot on 17th avenue in calgary is plowing and sanding and sallfing their parking lot. This wouldn't be a problem if their pArking lot wasn't Right behind 3 or 4 residential buildings. Ridiculous.
Well at least you did not get sick we got the worst pizza ever got for 35 bucks and they tell me you wont get sick in half and hour we ate nothing but there c****y pizza and they made us both sick was the fastest 35 buck ### ever and they don't even want to give you a credit for there c****y pizza well they just don't get my business any more and I tell others not to eat at there palaces because the food sucks, unless they want to get diarrhea fist time in my life got sick on a pizza and i have eaten many of them but boston pizza is the worst.
