I have attempted to work with Paul Mclaughlin, from Bluegreen Vacations. He has not been helpful. Paul McLaughlin initially wrote, "I only handle commercial use, but sent your inquiry along to Customer Care, which deals with 10 reservation rule situations." Then according to customer service became involved in the decision-making process as a part of the compliance team. Additionally, Paul sent me a request on a Friday, 9/15/23 at 2:49 pm to "Kindly provide an explanation for your guest usage." And then asked, "How did you get my name and email address?" I somehow missed this email and received another message on Tuesday, 9/19/23 at 8:46 am, "I would appreciate the courtesy of a reply." I gave him my explanation summarized below and his last reply was, "That’s still a lot of one-timers. Family and friends would likely repeat." Since then I've not heard anything and customer service demanded I cancel the approved reservations or they threatened they will cancel by 4:00 pm today.

As an owner, I have requested the names of the individuals on the compliance board voting on exceptions to the rule. No response has been received.

There were two reasons given for the policy:

1. The policy is in place to make sure things are fair for all of our owners so there is availability for all owners. Currently, there is plenty of availability for units, so this is not a problem.

2. So there is no commercial use and the inventory is not monopolized.

These reservations are for friends and family and this is not a commercial usage.

Finally, after talking with customer service today. I was finally able to get access to the rule published in November 2017 which states, “Owners out of compliance will be restricted on the owner website from booking any additional reservations in the same region... This applies to both Points and Bonus Time reservations. If you have exceeded your regional limit, you will receive the following message when you click the BOOK NOW button:

"The reservation you are attempting to book exceeds the limit of 10 pending reservations in the same destination or region at any given time per owner. Please select a different destination or cancel other pending reservations to proceed."

Since I did not receive a message as accorded in the policy. And since I have confirmed reservations and invited family and friends on the trip, I am asking for you to provide an exception for the 10-reservation rule maximum.

Desired outcome: An exception for the 10 reservations per area
