Bluegreen Vacations unsatisfied

To all Bluegreen Owners who have been lied too/mislead
-file complains with the Attorney Generals office in the state you made your purchase and the state they deeded you property too, and also to the BBB, the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Federal Trade Commission - to both the states----where you made your purchase and where they deeded you property.

Make sure you tell everything- be honest and follow through with it all. Hopefully(Praying) someone will take action against this company and the way they conduct and do business.
The Good LOrd knows what they are doing to people who work hard for their money.

They will answer one day for teh wrongs they do here on Earth adn hopefully they will suffer consequences while they are still alive for the lies and misrepresentations they have done.

Bluegreen Vacations Lost vacation property during obama hardship.

I had been paying on an ownership property . had paid over 23, 000.00 cash. Lost job when economy was bad and told prior and asked would they work with me to pay the 700.00 behind and pay off only a 2, 000.00 balance before I had ownership. This was the biggest scam I have ever seen and the fees were ridiculous. They should be made to give me my property back and pay the balance.

Bluegreen Vacations scam

Blue Green is a Vacation Club/TIme share that does nothing but lie. When we purchased from them I asked if we were unhappy could we resale it back to them. Yes was the answer. Well they wont.
They told us our maintenance fee would never go up. NOT TRUE. It goes up every year
You have trouble booking reservations
We were told so many lies It took two legal pages to write them all down. I have contacted the Attorney Generals Office in Fl but have not had any response. I am looking to find other members that are dissatisfied. I did find a site on Face Book where they want to file a class action suit so if you are interested please join!
If you haven't bought from this company please DONT or you will regret it. They are money suckers and I will find any way I can to report them or keep people from purchasing from them. I can't believe Bass Pro is affiliated with them!

Bluegreen Vacations difficulty getting refund

Went to a "2 hour" no-obligation presentation which lasted 4-1/2 hours. It became apparent to me that they were not going to give us our "free" night if we didn't sign up for something. Paid for the cheapest deal offered and felt lousy about relenting to the tough sales pressure.. Checked for complaints against Bluegreen Vacations on-line and decided I needed to cancel the contract I signed.

Since I did not trust this company after what I learned from complaints against them, I sent a certified letter of cancellation, dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's. They received the registered letter on Nov. 29, 2014. To date (12/15) I have not received my refund of $795.00.and was told by phone that the SOONEST I might receive the credit to my debit card is the end of December..

Merry Christmas from Bluegreen Vacations to me!

Bluegreen Vacations false everything

We have been lied to from day one.. cannot use points, cannot use RCI weeks when we want..unlimited number of restrictions from everyone: RCI, Traverlers Plus, Blue Green... was told by our so called consultant that we could use points anytime but when we tried all types of restrictions etc spent countless hours on the phone (2 +hours on hold)
to try to book a vacation 10 month in advance and could not through Blue Green and the other "parent" agencies costed more than we could book the identical vacation on line through other agencies and better rates and rooms and ammenities ! They realy took us for a $8000.00 US ride and now we want out and the roadblocks are just beginning. We are really pissed off that t hey sounded so good and a real smoke screen company that cannot justify anything for any time we wish to go on vacation ! We asked to selll and they gave us their parent company to sell our time share and from allreports this parent company is as bad if not worse than Blue Green themselves...What a ball of bull ### and should have listened to our instincts and not paid a penny Trying to sell our timeshare and the 10 RCI weeks as a bonus to get rid of them !

Bluegreen Vacations bluegreen vacations timeshare scam warning!!!

Disclosure: Results my vary, as this is my personal experience only.

My video review on the BlueGreen Vacation Timeshare Scam.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVc7ImQNeS4

I paid $150.00 to Bluegreen Vacations at the mall last year. I was told I would receive a 3 night stay at a nice resort, and a 4 night cruise with Carnival (Sound Familiar)? My job was to complete a 2 hour timeshare tour on the second day of my resort stay, and after completing, I would receive a 4 night cruise voucher. We drove 2 hours from Orlando, FL to St. Petersburg, FL to stay at the Bilmar Beach Resort.

We were suppose to stay from Sunday to Wednesday, but ended up coming in a day early on Saturday (4 nights). We were told on the phone it would be an upgrade of half off for that night (about $75) but when we got their, the hotel staff made us call Bluegreen to confirm this in writing and fax over the paperwork. Bluegreen contacted them, and sent them a conformation number. We were given the hotel key for our 4 night stay.

BlueGreen then calls my phone telling me to authorize the room for $159 (more than the cost of the room), then after arguing dropped it to $143 (the same cost of the room) with a $25 Visa gift card coming in the mail to me (I already got that when I signed up). What happened to half off? By the way, we also had to pay $107 in resort taxes and fees for the 4 nights.

I decided to call BlueGreen and discuss the true cost of the 4 night cruise before attending the Timeshare tour. She told me it would be a total of $373.00 which included taxes and port fees, plus $96 in tips ($12 per day, per guest, per night). Thats a total of $469.00! We left the resort, drove back to Orlando, and just enjoyed the rest of our day.

COST TO GET INVOLVED: $150.00

COST FOR THE RESORT STAY: $250.00 ($178.50)

COST FOR THE CRUISE: $469.00

TOTAL COST: $869.00

Glad we did not fall for this all the way and pay for the cruise! Get this. I called Carnival directly, and she said for the exact same thing, I would pay $517.00 directly through them, which includes the taxes, port fees, and tips would only be $292.00, yet with BlueGreen, they are making me pay $469.00 for the exact same thing.

I rest my case.

My husband and I where encouraged to purchase a Time Share and with that Time Share a credit Card Account was opened so that we could earn dividends that would pay our annual maintenance fees and vacation dues. We had been promised that the more we use the credit card the more fees and dues would be paid so that we would not have any out of pocket cost each...

Bluegreen Vacations misrepresentation and lies!

I was told I could take this trip with anyone I wanted. After paying and getting my information (3 months late), I read that my husband had to accompany me. If I wanted to take someone other than my husband with me, I would need to pay extra. I have talked to them several times telling them I was misled. They just say that their sales person would never say anything to mislead me. I told them to cancel the vacation and I wanted my money back because my husband is not able to travel with me. They stated that they could not and would not refund my money! They still have every penny I paid!

I planned a trip to Bangalore with future vacation but due to bad weather the trip was cancelled and on the scheduled day but they offered me an alternate trip it place of the previous but as I had problem in time on that given day, so I asked for refund they though hesitated first but given it back later. I was really happy with their travel plan and also their trust worthiness. Great People they have and I am planning this time to avail their services again . They are really honest people and great communication they have maintained .

So why do you think they insist your husband comes with you?

Because they are going to subject you to an unending hard sell for a time-share! You didn't really think this was "free" did you? Oh, no! They will hound you day and night until you sign a contract, and they need both parties to sign. Have your attorney talk to them, or just write off your deposit. Do Not Go There!

Bluegreen Vacations high pressure sales tactics

I got a call that I had "won" a 4 day stay in Orlando and a 4 day cruise all at no cost to me! I never win anything so I thought it might be nice to take a short vacation.
After about a 25 minute phone call the "catch" came. I needed to give a $198 deposit which would be refunded when I checked into the hotel. I told the gentleman that I was not going to give my credit card # over the phone until I had a chance to check the company out, he said he would hold while I did so...now my radar is really spinning. I said I would be happy to take his phone # and call him back once I had the chance to check out the company and speak with my husband.
The manager got on the phone and again asked me the same questions, I said I needed to check out the company before I gave them any credit card information would call them back. She said unless I gave them the credit card # then, I would lose my "free vacation". I told her I was not interested. If it was a legit company, they would have no problem with me doing basic due diligence. Now I have been reading the horror stories of folks who got stuck with in a time share with this outfit. HUGE BULLET DODGED!

Bluegreen Vacations sketchy business

As an employee of Bluegreen, I do have to say the product is valid, and for those that can afford it, it's worth the consideration. However, I don't like the sales tactics we have to use to get people involved. It gives me great pains to have to try to heavy-hand someone into buying. I've made a few sales with people who really wanted this product and they have walked out happy guests/owners, and I hope they are happy with what I've sold them. I also had a cancellation. In the end, I'm not so sure this is something I really want to do. I need to find another job before I get ulcers.

Bluegreen Vacations lies and misrepresentation

What ever you do DON'T buy anything from Bluegreen Resorts! Not only will you be in depth with a horrible cheap product, your credit will be destroyed. The sales representative are allowed to lie to you, so do not be fooled when they say they never would or couldn't. I have proof they do, and it doesn't even matter I am still stuck with my crappy timeshare and endless rising Maintenance Fees. Oh and if they try to say the fees will never go up or only by a little, laugh in their face. Again, they will lie to you and are told to do whatever it takes to make a sell. Oh and the whole thing you have 10 days after you sign the contract to cancel, another lie, because I did and I am still stuck with it. My lawyer says there's really no way to get out if this because they have made sure to cross every T and dot ever i. So you will be stuck. I can actually go on and in but I'm sure you get the drift. And if you still want to buy a timeshare, please buy mine, I can defiantly sell you one for a lot cheaper than they can. [protected]@yahoo.com

Bluegreen Vacations we won!

My wife and I luckily did a little research before going to our mandatory 2 hour Bluegreen sales presentation - we got a "special" one on one from our buddy Greg in Branson. After being told we'd have the Bass Pro resort to explore for the weekend by our other best friend the Bluegreen sales guy at the Bass Pro in Council Bluffs, IA we found out that we were really being treated to the as Greg at Bluegreen phrased it during his sales pitch, "the Nasty Radisson" (you don't want to stay at those places anymore do you?) why no Greg tell us MORE PLEASE! Catching the sarcasm yet? Good because this is a total joke and luckily we knew it going in. I will say my wife and I about drank them out of coffee and pop for 2 hours so hopefully they don't stick all Bluegreen owners with that $25 tab! SAY no PEOPLE ! You want to know the truth - my wife and I literally practiced verbalizing NO as we drove to the site. NO, No thank you, actually no, not interested but thank you. NO, NO, NO. and the least expected thing happend after this guy yapped for 2 solid hours. They brought in the "Killer" closer and I put my shades on as they escorted us to the outdoor private closing patio (one of about 26 that were full of people handing over checks!) he laid out 3 proposals and asked "Are you interested in becoming an owner?" to which I replied, "NO". That was it - we were waiting for a full court press, better pitch, another 3 hours of hell and he simply said... OK thank you - Greg will have you on your way. We looked at each other like, ...? what? where is the better offer, where is the high pressure. The Greg says, "I knew you guys were not going to buy the second I met you" My wife and I both came to the same conclusion, I'm sure when you call to make a reservation at a beautiful 3 room cabin for 3, 500 points a day they are READILY available...NOT! As I read all the complaints on this company all the things we thought could happen - did happen to all of these nice people in the world looking for nothing more than a decent deal on a good vacation - makes me want to open a legitimate timeshare - I think if you did it right you would make a fortune but still provide a good product. I feel terrible for those who bought in to Bluegreen - they clearly are ripping people off and they should pay dearly for it. I hope the message gets out that this is a huge scam and how can FREAKING BASS PRO let these idiots in their stores?!? Horrible business practice and everybody associated with Bluegreen ought to be boycotted. I won't shop there again...well only after I use my free $100 gift cards that is. Shame on Bass Pro, Shame on Bluegreen.

This one's a doozy
Ok so the sarcasm was funny for a half second then it made sense especially after you were expecting the Closer to close you and didn't. It seems you like the games and the challenge which means your just as twisted as the folks you complain about probley more.
The way you described your expierence sounds like you were the ones being dishonest and planning on it too so Pot calling the kettle black here?
Lastly you make no mention whethere you even owned Bluegreen or not so how would you know if the company is any good just from sites w/ idiots like you on it?
Btw any intelligent readare can probley tell you you do these tours consistantly, which that goes without saying
Get a clue and stop looking for a free lunch
Your a joke! literally LMFAO

Bluegreen Vacations lying salespeople

I'll keep this short and to the point. when I bought into Bluegreen Resorts in Branson, MO.
I was promised: Bluegreen would buy back my timeshare if I was ever not satisfied. Lie, we tried they never head of that program.
I could go to any Bluegreen resort. Lie, we found out we didn't have enough points. We needed a bigger point package.
This is a great investment. Sell it and make money. Lie, couldn't give the damn thing away.
Your maintenance fees will never go up, besides we'll work it where you never have to pay those fees. Lie, fees go up every year, I was stupid. And you have to use thousands of your points to pay only part of your fees.
You will have worry free vacations for the rest of your life. Lie, I'm throwing up now.
I did get out of the timeshare, they even refunded most of my money. But three weeks ago my parents fell for the same lies I did. Mom and Dad are not stupid, they are caring, trustworthy good people. They were lied to and pounded on until they gave in. I know I can get them out of with the help of the guy who got me out. But they have open a can of worms. I am now a avid warrior against Bluegreen. Watch for my posts coming to a complaint board soon Bluegreen. Anyone else fed up? email me at [protected]@aol.com

Bluegreen Vacations sales pitch

We were contacted by phone by someone offering a 4 day 3 night vacation in Pigeon Forge for $129.00 and all we had
to do is attend a 90 to 120 minute sales presentation. Sounded like a good idea and we had been through this before
with them and it wasn't so bad. They said it would be ok as long as it was more than 15 months since we had done
it. Well, the presentation alone lasted 2 hours. Then we were taken individually to tables with a sales person. Right off
the bat they produced a $12, 500.00 contract for us to sign. Payments were nearly $600.00 a month. We declined. He
then calls over another salesman who just can't understand why we could turn such a wonderful deal down. He produces
another contract for less money and begins the pitch again. Finally, I just looked at him and point blank told him we
are not going to buy this. By now the 90 minute to 120 minute pitch became 3 hours. By the time they fooled around
getting our gifts we finally got out after 4 hours. They made us sign something saying we could not do one of these
vacation deals with them again. Have no fear, I learned my lesson.

Our sales presentation was about 3 to 3.5 hours in Orlando. We talked to one rep, then another, than an older manager. The attempted to pressure us into the cheaper deal but were nice when we declined. The presentation was much longer than they had stated though. The unit we stayed in was very nice, but please note the ones you stay in before you sign are much nicer than you get. Our friends are "owners" and when they stay they get the circa 1980s ones with outdated furniture and electronics. They are still nice, but def not the new ones you get when you sign up. They always promise that they will be updated in the future...but thats not in writing. I would go again, just be aware you will waste a morning in the meetings.

You are an out right lier!
I work for this company and have for more than five years
The pitch and procedure has not changed in that time.
First off the "presentation" meaning the Podium as we call it is a speaker and it is never more than 45 to 60 mins they are trained to this time and will get written up if they abuse this rule.
Second, by law and Nearly ever state and by nearly I mean some states are more rules not less,
you are assigned to one sales person and can not have more than one talk to you unless its a Manager and no more than three in the process is permitted so you lied about that and and your time.
Next,
There is no way in gods green earth that the salesperson showed you a upfront price of 12, 500
A.. we dont have thet package and B. the first price is three time that amount and worth it I might add.
The next time you wanna lie just keep it to yourself cause you obviously are use to it.

Bluegreen Vacations not being completely truthful in their gift offers for spending two hours listening to sales pith fr timeshare

We were solicited by a phone call inviting us to come to a timeshare presentation (1 1/2-2 hours )and two day vacation At their resort. In return we were promised a 100.00 gift Visa and another land vacation for four nights / three days, or a cruise for the family for the same duration.
All of this was or a cost of $189.00. We were up front with the solicitor, from the beginning, telling him that we were not interested in buying a timeshare package because of a very bad experience years ago. But, we were going to be vacationing in the Charleston, SC the city where we would listen to the two hour sales pitch, anyway. Why not. Well, upon arrival we had to fill out paperwork prior to the pitch. I realized that the 4 night 2nd vacation required a $50 deposit before using. This was not is disclosed in the mailings that we were sent shortly after our booking the presentation.i read all of the fine print. Also, they could not give us the promised $100 Visa because their machine was not working. They did give us a company check that we could cash locally . They did not disclose that we would be charged a check cashing fee because we did not have an account at tht bank. We sat through the 2 hour presentation which was as expected-no problem. At the close of the presentation we were given a certificate for our second vacation to a "moderately priced hotel" in one of about six locations throughout the US. We were led to believe that we would be staying at one of their resorts vs an unknown hotel. Furthermore, the certificate was good for only two adults. We were told from the beginning that we could take our family. We have one college age daughter who we wanted to take on vacation with us. Again this was misstated. When confronted with my deliemma they gave me another certificate that would require an additional $50.00 deposit. Mind you, that would only be a total of $100.00 for two rooms for four nights, but that is a fee that was never disclosed at any time and in any fine print. This may not be unethical but it sure is not transparent. We will most likely forgo the second gifted vacation all together, and call it even .I do not want to deal with a company that is not completely up front with its customers and has to mislead its customers to stay in business.

Bluegreen Vacations rude/pushy sales tactics

We were approached by a salesman at Bass Pro Shops in Concord, NC for a vacation getaway for a discounted price, with the award of BassPro gift cards before & after the vacation, if we would sit through a 2 hour tour, supposedly non pressured sales tactics, on the timeshare vacation of Bluegreen resorts. So, we signed up for a Charleston SC tour, since I had never been & thought it a good idea. Overall, it was. But, we did our part & went to the sales pitch. This is where it went very rudely wrong! The salesmans name was Scott, presented on 9-10-12. When we first met him & talked to him he seemed very nice, asked us a ton of questions about our vacation habits, etc. He even said how they are very aware that most people only come for the free vacation, but that many actually do become customers once they hear the whole story. He then said, however, that at the end of his time, if we could answer yes to three questions, then we needed to buy. But if we answered no to even one question, then we shouldn't buy. So, sounded good! He then gave us the tour & the talk. At the end of the time, we were able to answer no to only one of those questions: "will you actually use it". Although they make it sound great & offered many extras if we would have purchased that day, I knew in my heart that what sounded really good in reality would not be utilized. This is where this seemingly nice man with "non-pushy" salesmanship turned very not so! He became very rude, even argumentative, and when my husband said "thank you for your time, you did a great job", his response was "yeah, well don't even say that, because apparently I missed something here, I just don't understand". He then got up, got our gift cards & showed us the door. He continued to mutter under his breath. WOW! I just did not know what to think! I'll tell you, never again will I be dubbed into doing something like that~not for all the "free" vacations in the world! What a waste of 2 hours!

This was our experience as well at Big Cedar in MO, Nov 16, 2012. It was absolutely unbelievable. We really liked the idea, but we were not going to say yes to a $30, 000 commitment without some further consideration, research and calculating. He acted like we were out of our minds and said this special deal was only available if we signed TODAY. It would not be honored if we had to sleep on it. Well, duh - who is going to make that big of a decision in a snap two hour presentation?! We had no prior information to review before this presentation - we went in cold. We indeed were given our gift cards - and promptly dumped. He did not even see us back to where we originally met him, (and also where we had left our son supervised playing with other prospect's children). We really did want to think about this offer, but alas...he had no business cards or information for us to take, Seriously? I was stunned and offended. How rude. What a joke. It was like an episode of Candid Camera. This behavior did nothing but make me thank God we were mature enough to say no. We wouldn't want to business with them now anyway. Shame on you Bluegreen. And Bass-Pro...you guys need to do some mystery shopping and see this for yourselves. This really put a damper on the last two days of our otherwise wonderful visit.

Bluegreen Vacations lies

We were lied to by Will Barnes and his manager, at Harbour Lights in Myrtle Beach, during our sales pitch to upgrade our points. These people are SO good, he even played off the fact that my husband is a preacher, telling us about the church he is involved in. We were fed a lie that gave us false comfort in our decision, he passed us a piece of paper, one of a few signed in his office, "signing this paper", he said, "states that you will give Bluegreen first rights to buy your points back if you ever decide to sell. We don't want these vacation points sold for less than what they are worth." SHOULD HAVE TOLD HIM TO GIVE ME A COPY RIGHT THEN AND THERE! Our contract states that if it is not in writing in the contract, it is not legal and binding, also states that nothing your sales person tells you is legal and binding either, if it is not in the contract. I looked through all my papers and I was not given a copy of anything he had us sign in his office, only what we signed with the underwriter (what she is called). These sales people are taught to make you feel comfortable about taking on this financial burden! We were told other lies as well, but that one really shocked us.

Bluegreen Vacations dishonest

EXTREMELY DISHONEST. WE PURCHASED 14, 000 POINTS EVERY OTHER YEAR. LUCKY FOR US IT IS EVERY OTHER YEAR. THEY DON'T MENTION HOW ONE CAN LOSE POINTS IF THE $34.99 POINTS PROTECTION PLAN IS NOT PURCHASED WHEN MAKING A RESERVATION. THEY DON'T MENTION THAT FOR BONUS POINTS RESERVATIONS YOU ARE ONLY ABLE TO MAKE THE RESERVATIONS 45 DAYS IN ADVANCE AND NOT AT ONE'S LEISURE LIKE MENTIONED IN THE SALES PITCH. THEY DON'T MENTION A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF FEES TO BE ABLE TO SAVE POINTS OR USE POINTS IN COMBINATION WITH BONUS POINTS (CASH) RESERVATIONS. EVERY TIME WE CALL OWNER ASSISTANCE WITH RESERVATIONS WE GET ANOTHER STORY OR LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT WE ARE NOT ABLE TO DO. DURING THE PRESENTATION IT IS DIFFICULT TO KNOW THIS BECAUSE YOU ARE TOLD OTHER WISE. IN ADDITION, THERE ARE FEES ON TOP OF FEES. IN OUR PRESENTATION WE WERE INFORMED THAT MAINTENANCE FEES FOR THE FIRST YEAR WERE COVERED AND THEN WE WERE BILLED AND WERE UNABLE TO USE OUR BENEFITS UNTIL PAID. BLUE GREEN RESORTS SCAM LIKE ALL OTHERS. AGAIN, LUCKILY WE ONLY PURCHASED EVERY OTHER YEAR. I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH BASS PRO SHOPS AS WELL! NOT THAT ANY OF THEM COULD CARE.

We were suckered into "purchasing" a weekend in Pigeon Forge, TN at Bass Pro Shops for 100.00 if we listened to a sales pitch one morning of our two day stay. First, the motel we stayed at was a dive in Pigeon Forge (guess that is so that their presentation and going thru their models look so much better)...then we spent not one, not two, but 4 plus hour...

Bluegreen Vacations timeshare headache

My husband and I were told alot of things during the process of us becoming timeshare owners, that this company did not live up to. We were told that they would buy back the timeshare in the event that we coluld no longer afford to make payments, not so. We were quoted one price for yearly dues and the price was double what was quoted. We just want out and want to forget Bluegreen Resorts even exists.

I've been a BG owner for 10 years and they absolutely changes the rules as you go along even if it's in writing! We actually own with 2 companies and BG is my least favorite of the two - if I could get rid of it at a reasonable price I would! Some of us may have been a bit "uneducated" at the beginning of the process but that doesn't make what this industry is doing right. Why do you think there have been so many lawsuits and complaints! Wake up a smell the coffee.

Lord Mankinholes, You are the one that does not know what they are talking about. I just got talked into an upgrade with BG. My wife and I asked the sales person 4 times how much would our Maintenance Dues be affected by this upgrade. We were told that they would double but no more than that. We are now being told by BG that we owe over $2000 for the MD for this year. We were paying around $500 per year before the upgrade. I have spoken to several people at BG and they agree with me that there must be some kind of mistake but no one will do anything about it. This is no way for BG to treat their customers. We were lied to by the Sales people and now we are being blackmailed into paying double the standard amount for MD because if we do not pay the MD then our account will be frozen and we will be unable to use our vacation points until we pay this outrageous amount.

Toyotafan have you looked into timeshare or are you one of those idiots that think they know everything and in fact know nothing.
We have made timeshare work along with many many thousands of other happy owners.
Over the years we have saved Thousands of £ on holidays, been to places that would have been far to expensive to even dream about going to.

So untill you know what you are talking about please shut up.

There is no scam in Bluegreen it does what it says on the can, the problem is that people do not do their homework and can not be bothered in learning how to use what they have bought ... it is like buying the latest TV and then throwing away the remote controll and complaining that the TV does not work.
