Last year, after booking a Choice Hotel room, I agreed to listen to a sales pitch for a vacation. After hearing what they offered, I thought I could use the package to see family and the timeshare in St. Pete, FL, where I would try to drive. That wasn’t part of the deal offered.
I told the sales person I wasn’t sure I could use the “deal” because my husband is soon to be 94 and on oxygen. Air travel is very difficult, so I asked where I could use the $199 pkg. Of the places offered, none were of interest to either of us, or they required air travel. At nearly 75, the idea of driving long distances anywhere is out of the question.
I tried explaining this to the sales guy, but he was good at overcoming my objections.
So here I sit, out $199 and nowhere to go with Blue Green Vacations.
I suggest you consider the intense sales techniques used on old people before you throw away your money. I should have been wiser.
