Booked with Expedia for a small get away with my husband. The place was Surestay Plus by Best Western 11355 San Pedro, San Antonio Tx. When we checked in and was assign our room I went to the room, and my husband park the car near the room which was by the back door entrance which he did not need his key to open it. We went to go get dinner and stop at the front desk and questioned the back door not having a key entrance and if the door stayed open all night. We were told that they lock the door at 8:00 pm.
So, when we got back the door still was not locked and then we discovered that,the TV stop working, blow dryer was broken and the refrigerator was broken and smelled bad.
So, we ask to be moved from that area and with the other issues with the room was told there were know more rooms so went back to our room. My husband could not sleep that well that night and decided to go check the door again around 11:00 pm and still not locked and our room was the last room by that door again was told could not move us. Will the next morning we decided that we would go ahead and check out the next morning since they could not move us. The young lady that at the front desk checked us out and we asked if we would be charged for the second day and was assured that we would not be charged, but for only one day. Not was not the case we were charged for the two days, and we only spent one night do all the issues. I understand that this is an owned and operated franchise but still represent Best Western.
This is not something I do, but today when I spoke with Sanjna with SureStay Plus all she could say was they will not refund me and that I checked out after 24 hrs. hours was up and we slept in the bed. Like I told her we complained the day we checked in and that night with the night desk person and was told she could not move us that night, so we did what we felt was the best choice for us the next morning and check out. Sanjna at the point told me that there will be no refund and hung up on me. Hope this gets to Best Western customer service and we get an answer to crappie place and not get ignored.
