Badcock Home Furniture & Morethieves!!!

I moved to Florida in January 2010 and I purchased furniture at that time through Badcock. The furniture was purchased on store credit in the amount of 4, 000.00. I made all my payments on time and had no issues with the company at that time. However, in April I had to go to NY for a family emergency and my boyfriend and I were having problems at the time (we lived together in Fl). While in NY, I received a phone call from Badcock stating that they were at my Florida residence to pick up my furniture! I had no idea what was going on, and my payment was not even due yet. I immediately called the store to find out what was happening and they told me I needed to speak with Pam and she would be in at 12pm. I called back later and spoke to Pam and she said that my boyfriend had called the store and spoke to her and said that I had left the furniture and that he was not going to pay for it so they should come and get it. By the time I spoke to Pam, the furniture had already been removed from my apartment, with the exception of a flat screen TV that my boyfriend claimed I took (which I did not). I had told Pam that the company was wrong in taking my furniture without contacting me and that they had no right to take any information from my boyfriend whose name was not even on my account. The company is now telling me that I am responsible for the payment of the missing television and that my account would be reported to the credit agency as repossession of merchandise!!! I called again and spoke to Nancy in the legal department who was extremely nasty. I tried to explain that this was a terrible mistake on the stores part and was very unprofesional to not even contact me and to listen to someone whjo has no right to my account which was not even due for payment yet! She told me that there was nothing she could do for me and hung up. I want this to be settled once and for all. I should not be held responsible for payment of the TV because they had no right to takle anything and my credit should not be reported as repossessed because this is the stores fault. I am appauled at the fact that this company had the nerve to make all these arrangements without contacting me and for NO reason because my payment was not even due and now they are trying to put the blame on me for their stupidity. I am warning everyone NOT to do business with this company. They are unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate!!!

    wow that's really messed up and truly that is invading your privacy. and no one i mean no one if they are not on the account should be able to discuss any matters about an account that does not pertain to them nor should badcock ever done this they should of called you and verified the information from you befour ever doing this this has to be illegal and against the law similar to the hepa law. because nor thwe account should have been spoken about to someone thats has nothing to do with this nor that is not on the account, , , I LIVE IN BELLEVIEW FLORIDA AND THE STORE HERE IS AWESOME AND THE PEOPLE HERE ARE GREAT NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM AT ALL AN I HAVE BEEN WITH THEM FOR YEARS I CAN TELL YOU THIS MUCH WHEN IT COMES TO MY ACCOUNT THEY WILL NEVER DISCUSS SUCH MATTER WITH ANYONE THAT IS NOT ON THE ACCOUNT WITH OUT MY PERMISSION, I GUESS IT JUST DEPENDS ON THE STORE MANAGERS AT THE STORE, SORRY THAT HAPPENED TO YOU THAT WAS WRONG OF THEM
