Aspen Dental Dental

I have spent thousands of dollars in the past with this company and on, 12/5/23 got a quote to remove a cracked tooth and have a tooth added to my bottom plate all while having two dental insurance plans. So today I called to make an appointment to proceed and I was told I would have to pay 50% of the quoted cost of $1,856.00. I never paid ahead in the past and what is insurance for if not a guarantee of some payment, they would have my money I I still have the broken tooth, not a way to do business.

Claimed loss: potential pain while I look for another dentist

Desired outcome: an apology

Aspen Dental My dental work.

On June 5, 2023 I went to Aspen Dental because I need to have a tooth pulled, only one tooth. I had x-rays done of my mouth and teeth. I was told by the dentist that I had cavities under all my crowns and the way to fix that would be to pull my teeth and have dentures made. I didn’t asked to see the x-rays or anything. I took the dentist at her word.

I had 19 teeth to be pulled. I made another appointment to come in to have my teeth pulled and dentures started. I proceeded to go through the fitting procedures have my dentures made. The preliminary dentures never fit, right I was unable to even talk in the mouth because they gagged me. I was told that that was normal and I shouldn’t worry about it And that when the permanent ones were made, they would fit better. I went several times to have the teeth adjusted and never came out happy. So I have been eating very soft food or liquid food for six months because I haven’t got any teeth that fit. The teeth within made permanent ones. When they started to get out the tray to put the goop in to measure my teeth, my mouth and gums I told him that they should use the smaller mold not the big one or the medium one because they were too big. They used the smaller mold And I went on my way I went back in do you have fitted the permit. I was extremely disappointed because they didn’t fit right either and the teeth themselves are very large.

I have been back twice since I received my teeth, which is probably a month ago to have them adjusted. I’ve told them that they are too big for my mouth that I sneezed and they both came out. I told her the teeth were too big basically. I have an appointment for 18 December to go in again and I’m going to ask them if they will honor their guarantee of satisfaction or your money back, my family is upset and my friends are too. I’ve not had any teeth for six months.

I want to be included in the class action suit. Everyone asked me where I had my work done and I tell him Aspen Dental they all say that’s the mistake. But I never should’ve gone there. I went for one tooth to be pulled and came out with 19 and pulled some dentures that don’t work. Thank you for listening Mary Luzio.

Aspen Dental Poor sanitary practices

Aspen Dental in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. provided no relief after contracting thrush through there office. I had 4 fillings and an extraction done there and developed thrush about 6 to 8 days later. I followed there instructions for all post op care. Called there office for a follow up visit and have this treated. They wouldn't see me for 3 weeks and when I finally did get to the appointment made me sit in the office for over an hour. I got disgusted and left and yes I still have thrush. Guess I'll now have to go to a walk in clinic that will see me immediately. I don't mind waiting a reasonable amount of time but over an hour for a 5 minute exam is just unacceptable. When I asked them how much longer it would be they said they didn't know, they were understaffed today and a procedure was taking longer then expected. This treatment is paid in full and this was supposed to be part of the follow up exam. So no more money to be made she can wait. There a horrible practice that doesn't care about you after your paid in full. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Aspen Dental - Dentures

Dear Sirs: To make this short, I'm not paying any more and demand your guarantee policy. If a patient is not satisfied with the total results of denture's overall. Aspen Dental Upper denture

I have tried for 3 months to get an upper denture from the Fort Dodge Aspen dental. What I have is a $1325.00 dollar denture that doesn't and will never fit setting in a dish of water in my bathroom!

From late August until November 22. I made many trips over there twice a week except when they had equipment problems I told them from the beginning that the denture was too big. They made a second deture EXATLY like the first one that didn't fit! does that make sense? NO. the last time I was there, and the denture was again too big,the tech put 2 knobs on the back of the inside of the denture saying that should correct the problem! What? I was so upset I left. That was on November 22.

Claimed loss: $1325.00

Desired outcome: My care credit account cleared up. In other words I want my money back!

Aspen Dental Deep clean and a root canal on one tooth and a bridge

To whom it may concern, 12/4/23 9:45No star for them from me,. It is shame that this company would even start a bussiness in our lil old town of Okeechobee, Florida like they are starting out, I called Aspen Dental and they got me right in and Said they did take my insurance, Humana, my appointment was at 9:45, and I got out at round 12:30, but I was very patient because they were having computer problems, and I do understand that was out of their control.

When I got up to the young lady to set up my up coming visits and I told them from the beginning I wanted to get what my Insurance would pay for and they assured me they would be happy to do that, the young lady refused to call Humana and talk to Humana, and when she gave me the charges, 9966.00 she said Humana would would only pay a small amount of 1506.00 for the services, and she gave a insurance discount of 1796.40 my reasonability would be 6663.60, After she refused to call my insurance, after I told her all the charges Humana would pay up to 5000.00 on my claim, I had called Humana before I made the appointment, When I got back home I call Humana again and the lady with Humana said she had no records of Aspen calling for me.

When I got back home, the young lady called to ask if I would bring her paper she accidently gave me by mistake, the oh really the treatment plan, so I told her I would not drive back down there after she had done me the way she did, I have all this on paper. And who ever I meet or talk to will know how this appointment went. Sorry but you dont do wrong and get by. Chris McNabb

Claimed loss: Thought you may want to know how your new office has started out in Okeechobee, Florida

Aspen Dental I pay for a services in full with Aspen Dental on Main Street In Suffolk, VA

Account #[protected]- March 28,2023 I contracted AspenDental for dental work over a period of time. I just received a pass due bill for a cleaning. I was not informed that this cleaning was not included in the in the contact. At the time of the service I was not given a bill nor asked for any money. So I assumed that this was included in the contract. It was only after I called an questioned the office if there would be a charge for up coming appoinment and found that I would be charged did I receive a bill.

Not informing me that there would be a charge was unfair.

Claimed loss: $458.60

Desired outcome: I do feel I was misled by omission and feel like I should not have to pay this bill. This bill is extremely high and I am on a fixed income so I will have to set up a payment plan of $50.00 a month.

Aspen Dental Dentures

My first experience with getting new dentures was 2014. In 2021, my lower teeth needed to be extracted and one of my remaining teeth is above the lower denture, which then caused my upper denture to crack. In September 2022, I got a new upper denture and since then, every two months my upper denture has cracked and broke in half in the same spot. I have went back to Aspen to get it fixed which takes me 3 weeks to get in, making it so that I am unable to eat anything that requires chewing! I get my dentures and 2 months later, they break again. The last straw - In September 2023 after waiting 3 weeks for my teeth, I was supposed to see the dentist and after waiting an hour they decided they no longer needed to see me. They gave me the denture and it had a small knob on the back of the dentures that created a sore. I brought it back to them the next day to have them take it off and they told me I had to wait another 2 weeks. Beginning November 2023, my dentures broke again. Mind you - I am not eating anything that would cause it to break and it continues to break in the same spot every time. I call for an appointment and I cannot get in until December 1. I get there and they don't have my dentures. I told them I want my money back and I am going somewhere else and they said I am out of my warranty. But, I was promised a product that I should be able to use for $1200 for longer than 2 months! What is my recourse?

Claimed loss: $1200

Desired outcome: I want my money back to purchase my dentures from a respectable place

Aspen Dental The performed bad dental work at Aspen Dental and not willing to repair the problems and pain they have created

Aspen Dental performed a badly done Root Canal and Crown on my molar in December 2022.

The temporary crown broke and was replaced because the initial work was not done correctly. Then the final crown arrived and it was put in place after several tries. The freshly new doctor was not very experienced. My tooth that was supposed to be fixed and resolved for many years, continued to hurt even worst than before the treatment. For few months I assumed that the pain will be settling after awhile. It did not occur and I went back to the dentist to have it fixed. They totally refused to fix until I have a deep cleaning of all my teeth. This new demand was never requested before. Aspen tried to black mailing me. I had requested to just fix their bad original work and I'm was not interested in doing any additional dental work at that practice. A very bad place to have any dental work done. I filed a grievance.

Aspen Dental Naples is not a reliable and honest Dental Practice. Any patient should avoid this place. Furthermore they continually trying to influence patients for unnecessary dental work.

Claimed loss: I spent lot of monies for a really bad work as reviewed by an other Dental office. Incomplete Root canal job and badly installed Crown.

Desired outcome: I have requested my money back and have the work done at another dental place and the office manager refused to fix my tooth and pain or to reimburse me and the insurance CO on the badly performed treatment.

Aspen Dental Restorative dental treatment

I had a consult with Aspen at their Charlotte, NC location back in October 2023. I was given an itemized treatment plan and I then decided to an alternate treatment plan (snap-in dentures v. implanted dentures). I was NEVER contacted again. They then had no nothing to do with me and was ignored. Obviously, I did not proceed with their treatment plan. The purpose of this is to warn anyone about entering a treatment plan with Aspen Dental because they will have nothing to do with the patient moving forward. Note that it was discussed 2 other treatment plans and they did not want to go any further. The plan that was initially picked was much more money that any of the other treatment plans.

Aspen Dental - Local provider harassment and breach of contract

I received services from Aspen Dental and had a lower denture made a few years ago and paid my contracted cost off completely and then some and this left me with a 7-year warranty on my denture. Recently, my denture broke and I went to an Aspen dental in the new state in which I had moved to try to get it repaired or replaced under warranty. When I brought...

Aspen Dental Fluoride treatment

October 31, 2023 I went to the Defiance Ohio Aspen Dental office for a teeth cleaning appointment. I always decline the optional fluoride treatment because it is not covered by my insurance. This visit the dental hygienist put it in her notes that the fluoride treatment was administered to me. I had declined it and it was not administered to me. They had kept me waiting for 20 minutes in the waiting room and rushed me through the cleaning. I would know if a fluoride treatment had been performed. I am now being billed for the treatment that I declined and did not receive. Now I am wondering who they gave this treatment to that I am being billed for. I called the office to discuss this and they refused to take it off my bill. What Aspen Dental is doing is unethical and unprofessional.

Claimed loss: $46.

Desired outcome: I want the charge taken off my bill and the public aware of this scam they are perpetrating.

Aspen Dental Dental care

On my first visit to Aspen Dental (Rome NY) for a dental problem they took about (20) x-rays at $18.00 each, okay, understandable... But, less then (21) days later I had an appointment for a teeth cleaning. At the appointment I couldn't believe it when the said they needed a "new" set of x-rays (20) just for a teeth cleaning and exam and they didn't even have a dental hygienists on duty! Did they expect me to come back another day, 60 miles of travel for the teeth cleaning? They couldn't give me a good reason why they needed more x-rays for a such a minor service. From what I can tell, they are x-ray crazy for the cash! Very, very unhappy with the way they try to take advantage of patients / me to make more cash. Watch them! From what I can tell, you watch and see, I bet that they are going to take x-rays of your mouth on every single visit, willing to put money on it!

Desired outcome: Quit scamming would be nice.

Aspen Dental No pain medication called in.

I originally had an appointment scheduled for a Thursday two weeks ago. The morning of the appointment Aspen Dental staff contacted me to reschedule as the Oral surgeon had to to be seen in the emergency room. As I understand this is something that can happen to anyone, I gracefullly accepted the next scheduled date I was given which happen to be on a Saturday morning. As their web sites and offices will tell you, Aspen Dental is typically closed on the weekends. My assumption is this is the day that this particular Dr. rescheduled all of her patients that she had to cancel that were scheduled the same day mine was cancelled. The extraction and implant for an anchor for my partial as far as I was told, went well. I was ushered out of the office after having been under with Versed, Ketsmine and propalol( If these medications

are required for the procedure being performed , you can guarantee pain medication will be required later.) Before leaving, the dental assistant verified my pharmacy and it's address. My Dr. proceeded to tell me the medications she was calling in for me and that I would need a follow up for suture removal. I live an hour away from the office. Minutes before passing my pharmacy, my husband contacted the pharmacy to see if my prescriptions had been called in. They were not. My husband then attempted to call the office to find out how soon we could expect the prescriptions to be called as one was a pain medication I would soon be needing. Because this was a Saturday, no one answered the phone. There are no options for after hour emergencies for current patients given. Because it was still early, we hoped the Aspen staff would still be calling in my prescriptions before they left that day. Pharmacy hours came and went, no medications were called in for me. As all the local anesthesia wore off, the pain of course increased. Currently, I have been home taking over the counter ibuprofen and using cold and hot packs to try and relieve this horrible pain. I went back to the website to see if maybe they had an after hours emergency number listed. They did not. I did see a 1-800 number listed in blue and tried that. (I should note, Aspen Dental states if you find yourself in this position, in extreme pain after hours, you should go to the Emergency Room. I personally cannot afford to be seen in the E.R for this, causing me to pay hundreds of not a thousand or more for pain medication to be given to me there and possibly a prescription for pain medication that I should already be home and using !) Upon calling this number, within it's message, I was given the number I was looking for. This was around 1:20-1:30 am am. I am typing this at 2 am in the morning. My procedure was at 10 am yesterday morning. The operator who assisted me at approximately 2:50 am told me she would be contacting the on call physician immediately (as I explained to her the best I could as I can barely move my jaw due to the extreme pain.) It is now 3:17am and I have yet to hear from this on call physician. This is not how you treat patients who trusted you for the dental work required, trusted your word when it was verified and explained to the patient that pain medication as well as other required medication was being called in for them. This is not how you treat a patient who has just paid you $3,000.00 for the work that was done. I checked my email, Aspen Dental made sure to send me the date and time for my follow up exam but could not take the time to ensure their patient would be as comfortable as possible by calling the medications required into the pharmacy that they verified by name and address! What price should be put on leaving a patient who had extensive work at your facilities, in extreme pain? I am still waiting on a phone call from the on call Dr. !
