I used the Queensbury, NY location. I am at 2 years without proper fitting dentures. Every return visit cost money as I have to take time off work. I just keep getting adjustments each visit. I was assured for 5k + in cost for dentures would be perfect (which I am still paying). These teeth haven't fit proper from day one. I reached out to the finance...

Aspen Dental Charged double and refunded only half

I visited Aspen dental Associates of NEPA PLLC located in Ephrata Pennsylvania, to deal with toothepain I was having. I was warned by numerous people not to go there, and I had read many bad reviews online about Aspen Dental, but still decided to give them a try because I was desperate for help and they have an easy online appointment booking system. I decided to ignore all of the bad things I heard and read about them and give them a chance.

My first visit the front desk worker, and everyone that spoke to me seemed friendly and made me feel like they were genuinely concerned about my teeth. I had asked about removing teeth because of extreme pain, but they adviced me against removing any teeth, because I was told that my teeth could be saved and that I am too young for dentures. I appreciate that they told me not to get any teeth removed. The south Asian lead dentist that looked at my teeth seemed nice and concerned.

My first visit was on (1/19/2022), and I had all the usual necessary xrays to see what's happening in my mouth, and than they guided me to an office so that they could explain to me what I have going on with my teeth and payment options available. They explained to me that I have Gingivitis, and that it is recommended I get a gingivitis cleaning. I agreed to a gingivitis cleaning the same day, and than they told me about an Oral B electric toothbrush that they recommend which I told them I would like to have the Oral B toothbrush so they added it to my bill which is not a problem.

There were two people in the office with me, and only one spoke and the other just observed. The woman that did all of the speaking had a southern accent, and had a very good way of speaking, she made me feel like she was concerned and after explaining that I need $20,000.00 worth I work done in my mouth, I was shocked. I kept trying to politely back out of everything, because I can't afford $20,000.00 worth of Dental work that they recommend I get done, but the lady with the accent kept acting like she cared about my well being, and repeatedly explained that I can easily apply for a Dental First credit card, and that I can slowly pay overtime or pay half now and half later. After trying to back out of committing she finally was able to convince me, and with my permission she went ahead and checked to see if I'm approved for the card. I was approved instantly for about $16,000.00. She printed out a bunch of papers. I signed the papers like an idiot, and they scheduled me for my second appointment which would be to start having a crown prep as they called it, and to eventually get the second round of gingivitis cleaning. I went home with a new toothbrush in hand that I had asked for and an antimicrobial rinse that I didn't know was in the bag until I got home. I haven't paid anything in their physically in their office. They simply added everything to the credit card they just opened.

To make it clear, this first visit I only had $372.00 worth of work done which was the full mouth of xrays, an exam, a gingivitis cleaning, the Oral B toothbrush, the rinse in a bottle. When I arrived home I immediately told my husband, and called everyone I know to tell them about how my first visit at Aspen went, and that everything to get rid of my tooth pain will cost about $20K. Again I was warned to not go through with anything because of how everyone knows Aspen is dishonest, and that I should get a second opinion. My second Aspen visit wasn't going to be for another week or so and I was still in pain, so I decided to get a second opinion from a couple other dentists just to be on the safe side before going through with any procedure at Aspen.

Both dentists were able to obtain my xrays from Aspen and after examining them closely by the whole office I was told that Aspen wants to overcharge me for everything and that no where in my mouth do I need $20K worth of work done and that I should cancel with Aspen and try to avoid going to any big Dental chains, because they are just about the money and not the actual relationship with the patient.

I eventually called Aspen on the phone to cancel the next appointments I had scheduled with them, and apologized that I'm not interested in going through with anything because it's too expensive, and I could hear the disappointment in the person's voice I spoke with, but after they hung up the call I thought that would be the last I have to deal with them.

A day or so later I decided to create an account with the Dental First credit card that Aspen had me open up, so that I can pay my what I thought would be only $372.00 - $400.00 bill, because of the 1 visit I had with Aspen. What I saw in my account was a balance of $13,509.90. I was very shocked, and confused because I didn't even get the procedure they wanted me to do yet, and the lady told me the procedure would only be about $6K. After looking in my Dental First account I could see that Aspen charged the credit card twice for $6754.95 which is why I had a balance of $13,509.90 in my account. I immediately called Aspen, and had to speak to the lady with the southern accent again and she was very short with me quickly said "oh, so you decided that you don't want to go through with any work than?". I told her no I don't want to go through with any work, and before I could continue to ask any questions, than she said "OK, than we will charge the money back" and than she quickly hung up the phone without asking if there is anything else she could help me with. After getting off the phone with her I trusted that Aspen was going to refund the money, and that the next day I would see a balance of only $372.00.

I sign back into Dental First account again and see that I recieved a refund of only $6382.95, and my balance was now $7126.95. Its still more than what I actually owe, so I called Aspen back and I could already sense they know what's going on but they were acting shocked and confused, but the lady on the phone assured me they would fix the problem. Another few days go by and the account is still at $7126.95, so I call the Dental First credit card customer service and they explained to me that it's Aspen that overcharged me and not the credit card and that out of all the people they work with they only ever have this problem with Aspen. So I called Aspen back and Aspen told me that they aren't seeing a double charge from their side and it doesn't matter what I see from my phone, and that they have proof that they didn't double charge me. I eventually go to Aspen Dental to get a copy of the proof that they didn't double charge me and all they give me is a paper with the the actual things I did get done for that 1 visit + the electric toothbrush which was a total of $372.00. The saleswoman with the southern accent comes to the front desk with an attitude, and basically makes it clear that they aren't refunding the remaining amount because they don't believe they charged me twice. Since I'm a pacifist, and don't believe in fighting back and forth with someone I simply took the paper they gave me and left.

It is now 2/11/2022 and after constantly calling Aspen and Dental first credit card I really don't know who to believe. I'm not sure if Aspen is telling me the truth in that it's really not their fault that my Dental First account was charged twice for $6754.95 or if it's the Dental First (a.k. a comenity) card being dishonest... or are they both working together to scam people?! If it is the credit card companies fault im sure Aspen is fully aware of what is going on because im not the first person this has happened to, yet they continue to recommend this credit card to people.

All I know is that I'm not paying $7126.95 for Dental work that I didn't recieve. I hope Aspen will refund me the $6,754.95 that they owe, and to stop taking advantage of people, because until this issue is solved I'm going to keep writing this review everywhere including YouTube. I have all of the papers they gave me and every phone call conversation recorded and pay them another visit with other people involved. I'm going to report them and do whatever I have to get this situation resolved. Even make a YouTube video about them if I have to because this isn't fair.

Desired outcome: I hope Aspen Dental will refund the $6,754.95 that they owe, and to stop taking advantage of me.

This is terrible. I believe you should take legal action to get your money refunded. I'm so sorry that you went through this. I've had a similar experience.

Aspen Dental Customer service

I had appointment on 2/10/2022 I signed in and set down. While I was there 2 other people walk in and was called in first before me. My husband had come at 1:30 I had told him what was going on and he went to the front desk and ask if there was a problem. About 10 minutes later I was called in here is where the issue is I got a text message and it says 12:30pm after I left, I got an email at 2:59pm saying my appointment was at 1:00pm that is to cover their behavior. I have spent 7500 on dentures cash money and to be treated like this is awful. I had 22 teeth pulled all at once because of the gum disease. when I had my surgery there on December 17,2021 after my surgery, I was put in a wheelchair and put in the car with blood all over my shirt and mouth my husband was really upset they never even clean my face off. To me this is neglect on their part because you don't treat patients like this. I know this is because I have been in the medical field for 38 years. I hope no one has to go through what I have been through. Thank you. I printed the information on Friday 2/11/2022

Aspen Dental Dental Implants

Ref. Aspen Dental - Sanford, FL: I got a quote for dental work for $25,000 (not for myself, but a good friend). As much as I wanted to help my friend, I told them that is too much for me. I explained I can only pay what will be authorized by Care Credit. They called Care Credit and got authorized for $18K. At that point, they gave me a "Family Discount" getting it down to $19,236, which Care Credit accepted as an "overdraft" ... Now that the bone work has been done, they asked me to pay for the "SECOND PART" (as they called it) - which is nearly $8,000 - to COMPLETE the dental work. I am still paying off Care Credit and I don't have that amount available. I was never advised when being given the estimate that there would be another payment due. If I had known, I wouldn't have done it ... What a ripoff. Don't go there! Such Bait & Switch should be illegal. So I paid nearly $20K and my friend still doesn't have teeth :-( ... I am just so disgusted. If you go over the reviews other "Bait & Switch" victims posted as well ...

PS. I tried "reaching out to Customer Service" - it was a waste of time.

Desired outcome: Include the ENTIRE PROCEDURE for the amount paid.

Aspen Dental I went to Aspen dental in Farmington Missouri, 63640 to have my upper denture relined.

I had my upper denture relined but did not have any images done but Aspen Dental is trying to charge me for them. When I went for my visit, I paid them $50.00, thinking that's how much I had to pay for the reline after insurance paid their share, but apparently I misunderstood what they said the reline would cost, because they sent me a bill and explanation of charges which showed I owed for a complete series rdgrphc images, which they did not do $83.00. I can't get a hold of anyone at Aspen Dental and even went to the office in person to have this $83.00 charge dropped, they said they'd call me but never did. They sent me another bill for the $83.00 but this time they changed what the charge is for on the explanation of benefits. I have saved all the bills they have sent. I need help in figuring out how to resolve this issue.

Desired outcome: I want this $83.00 charge dropped because I did not receive any images or xrays. I want my account to show paid in full. I paid a total of $266.40 my part for the reline after my insurance paid.

Aspen Dental services and refund

on February 4,2022 I schedule and appt for teeth cleaning and whiten told me it would $428.00 had to pay $200.00 up front so I did on my credit card. within 15 minutes the receptionist call back to say they didn't have any whiten trays and didn't say when they would have them so i cancel my service. i was told my 200.00 would be put back on my card. but it is a week later and nothing. I have been calling the office and speaking with different people. the office manager is not ever there who I assume know all the business. then young lady in turn told me since I had a pending on the account, they kept my money. however, I call Cigna since the lady from aspen said Cigna hadn't paid, she said Well what happen they request records of my dental working before paying and was never sent since October so this falls on Aspen. this is a terrible experience I have had. but I am covered under two dental plans. but yet they refuse to credit my card back $200.00 like i gave them for some other work that I wanted to be done. but yet they didn't send over the proper x-rays to Cigna to get paid. I am highly disappointing with Aspen and all my friends will know please get some knowledge people in the office. so, I am still waiting for my 200.00 on my credit card. and it's always I am covering for the office manager. tried located someone upper management always told no one is here.

Aspen Dental Tooth cleaning

I went to the Elizabeth City, NC, office for an exam, xrays and cleaning. They did 3 sets of xrays and the exam. The dentist told me that I had 2 cavities that had some dark areas and that I would need root canals and crowns. I told her I only wanted them filled, she said she couldn't say if she could do that and sent me in for the cleaning, I was waiting for quite a while until she came in to tell me the hygienist left early and for me to come back. I was brought into another room with a young woman to go over my bill. She told me that the cleaning would cost over $1300. I asked why and she said I needed a deep cleaning. I would have been charged that much if the hygienist had been there to clean my teeth! What a rip-off, I felt this company is only out for the money and not what is good for the patient. I went to another dentist, who did not do a deep cleaning, it was not needed and the 2 cavities were not cavities at all, but poorly done xrays. All of this was done before I told him about my experience with your office. He took clearer xrays, found no cavities there but in a different tooth that was not discovered by Aspen. This is a terrible company, would NEVER recommend it to anyone. They will take your money for unnecessary work. Take your business to a dentist that is reputable, not this one.

Desired outcome: I want an apology from this Elizabeth City/ NC office

I started with Aspen Dental in July 2021. I was given an estimate cost of roughly $4000.00. For 6 crowns and a partial plate. It was not explained to me that it would be submitted to insurance. I assumed insurance wasn't going to cover any of it. So I agreed to the $4000. By October - November it would end up costing roughly $6900. Today I received a bill...

On the 12th of December 2021 I went in to Aspen dental in Branson MO. One of the teeth that help hold the partial I had went bad so Doctor M. Kapilikisha said the tooth wasn't solid enough in the bone to warrant the work it needed to repair it. It wasn't solid any more and got sore when I chewed very much. I had just 2 teeth left. Aspen Dental I'm at 1 year and have no finished product

I would not recommend this place to anyone! Aspen dental is the mcdonald's of dentistry I started in april of 2021 we're just a week short of one year and I have not received a finished product. The whole office is incompetent, the regional manager matt is very incompetent and childish and josh tracy the sales director has not returned my call. At this point i'm talking with attorneys, oregon board of dentistry and i've contacted and filed a complaint with the attorney general of oregon. You cannot negotiate with aspen they will screw you any way they can! They have since terminated me as a patient because they cannot create a product that fits my mouth. This is where they're incompetence lies i've never seen the same doctor twice because they're flying in doctors from all over the country to fill temporary positions. They are trying to stay afloat. I pray and hope and can't wait until the aspen dental office doors are closed permanently in roseburg oregon. My best advice to anyone is don't go, don't waste your time, don't waste your energy because you will be 100% disappointed. You've been warned.

Terrible terrible terrible! Started with them in april of 2021... Still waiting on delivery... Doctor's always sick and calling in... I'm pretty sure now that after this week I have had 12 rescheduling calls. I requested a refund and they offered $3000.00 of the 8000.00 I have paid! They also demanded the appliances back within 90 days... Okay, here's my dilemma... How can I get new appliances in 90 da

Ys when aspen dental has yet to even deliver the products. And we are going on 11 months! If they can't perform their obligation in over 300 days I ask, how can I get this done somewhere else in 90 days? I wouldn't recommend thier services to anyone after my ordeal. The dentists and hygienists seem somewhat okay. It's the management in the office that cannot coordinate and operate this location as needed. Something needs to be done. I have read multiple reviews about aspen dental and it's not pretty. Wish I would have checked reviews before I went there...

Desired outcome: Compensation and the doors be closed at Aspen dental in Roseburg Oregon

Aspen Dental Implants

Took my son in to a consult for (2) implants that he needed. We went to the Merritt Island, Fl Aspen office. Dr. Gillan was sure he would get the implants done beautifully for him. We went through the painful process of getting him "ready" for the implants to be put in. Once the implants were done it wasnt long before one of them fell out. We went back to the office and Dr. Gillan basically glued it back on and told us it should not happen again.

I was under the impression the implants were PERMAMANT fixtures. This should not have even happened once. Well here we are again and it fell out for a 2nd time. Called the Merritt Island office back to find out the Dr Gillan is no longer with Aspen. We were able to get him evaluated immediately at the Viera Aspen Dental office. However, upon examination we were told it would cost us another $2,544 to fix the issue. So I have already paid over $8,000 for the implants themselves and now you are wanting me to pay another $2,544 for your companies mistakes? I am disgusted by this. Aspen should stand by their work and the doctors they hire and correct this at no charge. How insane to as me to pay to fix something you were suppose to do correctly in the first place? Is this the reputation this company really wants to have? Not only did my son have to endure a very painful process for this procedure I do believe he is tramatized over it. Now he lives every day wondering when his teeth are going to fall out at any given time. Shame on this company.

Desired outcome: I would like for this company to do the right thing and fix my sons implants correctly so he does not have to worry about this moving forward. There should be NO cost to us associated with correcting this for him.

Aspen Dental Misdiagnosis prolonged pain and suffering

On January 22nd I was seen at Aspen dental as an emergency walk in due to severe tooth pain. After some x-rays the dentist spent less than a minute with me telling me that I had a broken crown and fractured root canal resulting in an abscess.

He told me the tooth would need extracted and an implant placed. They quoted three procedures from a dental bridge and a removable plate to a complete implant. The cost of these ranged from $3, 000 to $8, 000.

Sent on my way, still in severe pain I had no recourse but to seek treatment with another dentist on January 24th. The next dentist took their own x-rays and discovered that there was not fracture, broken crown or root canal issue and the only issue was the abscess. This was confirmed by an endodontist on January 25th and I was given antibiotics and await a date to drain the abscess.

Aspen dental's misdiagnosis of a broken crown extended my pain and suffering as I had to wait for a second opinion. If I had followed their advice I would have undergone a very costly and unnecessary procedure and would be left with a dental prosthetic where one is not needed.

I am appalled by their business practices as in speaking with others it has become clear that Aspen has a track record of trying to sell expensive and unnecessary dental procedures and taking advantage of their patients.

I truly hope a class action lawsuit is filed. I will put my name boldly on the claim.
