Aspen Dental Dental Implants

Ref. Aspen Dental - Sanford, FL: I got a quote for dental work for $25,000 (not for myself, but a good friend). As much as I wanted to help my friend, I told them that is too much for me. I explained I can only pay what will be authorized by Care Credit. They called Care Credit and got authorized for $18K. At that point, they gave me a "Family Discount" getting it down to $19,236, which Care Credit accepted as an "overdraft" ... Now that the bone work has been done, they asked me to pay for the "SECOND PART" (as they called it) - which is nearly $8,000 - to COMPLETE the dental work. I am still paying off Care Credit and I don't have that amount available. I was never advised when being given the estimate that there would be another payment due. If I had known, I wouldn't have done it ... What a ripoff. Don't go there! Such Bait & Switch should be illegal. So I paid nearly $20K and my friend still doesn't have teeth :-( ... I am just so disgusted. If you go over the reviews other "Bait & Switch" victims posted as well ...

PS. I tried "reaching out to Customer Service" - it was a waste of time.

Desired outcome: Include the ENTIRE PROCEDURE for the amount paid.

Aspen Dental I went to Aspen dental in Farmington Missouri, 63640 to have my upper denture relined.

I had my upper denture relined but did not have any images done but Aspen Dental is trying to charge me for them. When I went for my visit, I paid them $50.00, thinking that's how much I had to pay for the reline after insurance paid their share, but apparently I misunderstood what they said the reline would cost, because they sent me a bill and explanation of charges which showed I owed for a complete series rdgrphc images, which they did not do $83.00. I can't get a hold of anyone at Aspen Dental and even went to the office in person to have this $83.00 charge dropped, they said they'd call me but never did. They sent me another bill for the $83.00 but this time they changed what the charge is for on the explanation of benefits. I have saved all the bills they have sent. I need help in figuring out how to resolve this issue.

Desired outcome: I want this $83.00 charge dropped because I did not receive any images or xrays. I want my account to show paid in full. I paid a total of $266.40 my part for the reline after my insurance paid.

Aspen Dental services and refund

on February 4,2022 I schedule and appt for teeth cleaning and whiten told me it would $428.00 had to pay $200.00 up front so I did on my credit card. within 15 minutes the receptionist call back to say they didn't have any whiten trays and didn't say when they would have them so i cancel my service. i was told my 200.00 would be put back on my card. but it is a week later and nothing. I have been calling the office and speaking with different people. the office manager is not ever there who I assume know all the business. then young lady in turn told me since I had a pending on the account, they kept my money. however, I call Cigna since the lady from aspen said Cigna hadn't paid, she said Well what happen they request records of my dental working before paying and was never sent since October so this falls on Aspen. this is a terrible experience I have had. but I am covered under two dental plans. but yet they refuse to credit my card back $200.00 like i gave them for some other work that I wanted to be done. but yet they didn't send over the proper x-rays to Cigna to get paid. I am highly disappointing with Aspen and all my friends will know please get some knowledge people in the office. so, I am still waiting for my 200.00 on my credit card. and it's always I am covering for the office manager. tried located someone upper management always told no one is here.

Aspen Dental Tooth cleaning

I went to the Elizabeth City, NC, office for an exam, xrays and cleaning. They did 3 sets of xrays and the exam. The dentist told me that I had 2 cavities that had some dark areas and that I would need root canals and crowns. I told her I only wanted them filled, she said she couldn't say if she could do that and sent me in for the cleaning, I was waiting for quite a while until she came in to tell me the hygienist left early and for me to come back. I was brought into another room with a young woman to go over my bill. She told me that the cleaning would cost over $1300. I asked why and she said I needed a deep cleaning. I would have been charged that much if the hygienist had been there to clean my teeth! What a rip-off, I felt this company is only out for the money and not what is good for the patient. I went to another dentist, who did not do a deep cleaning, it was not needed and the 2 cavities were not cavities at all, but poorly done xrays. All of this was done before I told him about my experience with your office. He took clearer xrays, found no cavities there but in a different tooth that was not discovered by Aspen. This is a terrible company, would NEVER recommend it to anyone. They will take your money for unnecessary work. Take your business to a dentist that is reputable, not this one.

Desired outcome: I want an apology from this Elizabeth City/ NC office

Aspen Dental Billing

I started with Aspen Dental in July 2021. I was given an estimate cost of roughly $4000.00. For 6 crowns and a partial plate. It was not explained to me that it would be submitted to insurance. I assumed insurance wasn't going to cover any of it. So I agreed to the $4000. By October - November it would end up costing roughly $6900. Today I received a bill for an additional $1799. This type of billing is almost impossible when you are on a fixed income. I have no complaints on the dentist himself. This is twice the amount I was quoted in the beginning. Roxy should have explained how all of it was going to work. I wouldn't recommend Aspen Dental to anyone at this point.

Aspen Dental Denture care after teeth extraction

On the 12th of December 2021 I went in to Aspen dental in Branson MO. One of the teeth that help hold the partial I had went bad so Doctor M. Kapilikisha said the tooth wasn't solid enough in the bone to warrant the work it needed to repair it. It wasn't solid any more and got sore when I chewed very much. I had just 2 teeth left. They took impressions and made an appointment to have them extracted. I had that done on I believe the 18th of December. I had a follow up the next day after keeping the new dentures in over night to allow the extraction sites to clot and waited about a half of an hour for the doctor to look at it. I called in Monday the 24th of December to tell them of a sore on the side of one of the extraction sites as well as a problem with the upper denture causing a sore spot. I wasn't scheduled an appointment to check on that until Friday December the 28th. On Thursday the 27th I was called by their office telling me they had some equipment break down and were cancelling my appointment. I told them I should have already been seen to check on this. I was told I would be taken care of at my regular appointment on the 2nd of February at 8am. I just received a call telling me that my appointment is changed to 12pm on Feb. 2nd and if they can't get to everybody they will let me know and cancel completely. I told the receptionist that someone should have seen me a week ago and if I can't be seen tomorrow someone should see me today (Feb. 1st). Some mornings my mouth is so sore I can hardly put my uppers in and my lower denture spends most of the day in the denture cup because of the problems with it.

I was ignored. This is my 4th set of dentures and I have never received this poor of care before. Even Affordable Dentures didn't treat me like this and I had to file a complaint about them because they didn't stand behind their guarantee.

Desired outcome: Since I've already paid for their service I'm not sure what my options are. I don't like the level of care I'm receiving.

Aspen Dental I'm at 1 year and have no finished product

I would not recommend this place to anyone! Aspen dental is the mcdonald's of dentistry I started in april of 2021 we're just a week short of one year and I have not received a finished product. The whole office is incompetent, the regional manager matt is very incompetent and childish and josh tracy the sales director has not returned my call. At this point i'm talking with attorneys, oregon board of dentistry and i've contacted and filed a complaint with the attorney general of oregon. You cannot negotiate with aspen they will screw you any way they can! They have since terminated me as a patient because they cannot create a product that fits my mouth. This is where they're incompetence lies i've never seen the same doctor twice because they're flying in doctors from all over the country to fill temporary positions. They are trying to stay afloat. I pray and hope and can't wait until the aspen dental office doors are closed permanently in roseburg oregon. My best advice to anyone is don't go, don't waste your time, don't waste your energy because you will be 100% disappointed. You've been warned.

Terrible terrible terrible! Started with them in april of 2021... Still waiting on delivery... Doctor's always sick and calling in... I'm pretty sure now that after this week I have had 12 rescheduling calls. I requested a refund and they offered $3000.00 of the 8000.00 I have paid! They also demanded the appliances back within 90 days... Okay, here's my dilemma... How can I get new appliances in 90 da

Ys when aspen dental has yet to even deliver the products. And we are going on 11 months! If they can't perform their obligation in over 300 days I ask, how can I get this done somewhere else in 90 days? I wouldn't recommend thier services to anyone after my ordeal. The dentists and hygienists seem somewhat okay. It's the management in the office that cannot coordinate and operate this location as needed. Something needs to be done. I have read multiple reviews about aspen dental and it's not pretty. Wish I would have checked reviews before I went there...

Desired outcome: Compensation and the doors be closed at Aspen dental in Roseburg Oregon

Aspen Dental Implants

Took my son in to a consult for (2) implants that he needed. We went to the Merritt Island, Fl Aspen office. Dr. Gillan was sure he would get the implants done beautifully for him. We went through the painful process of getting him "ready" for the implants to be put in. Once the implants were done it wasnt long before one of them fell out. We went back to the office and Dr. Gillan basically glued it back on and told us it should not happen again.

I was under the impression the implants were PERMAMANT fixtures. This should not have even happened once. Well here we are again and it fell out for a 2nd time. Called the Merritt Island office back to find out the Dr Gillan is no longer with Aspen. We were able to get him evaluated immediately at the Viera Aspen Dental office. However, upon examination we were told it would cost us another $2,544 to fix the issue. So I have already paid over $8,000 for the implants themselves and now you are wanting me to pay another $2,544 for your companies mistakes? I am disgusted by this. Aspen should stand by their work and the doctors they hire and correct this at no charge. How insane to as me to pay to fix something you were suppose to do correctly in the first place? Is this the reputation this company really wants to have? Not only did my son have to endure a very painful process for this procedure I do believe he is tramatized over it. Now he lives every day wondering when his teeth are going to fall out at any given time. Shame on this company.

Desired outcome: I would like for this company to do the right thing and fix my sons implants correctly so he does not have to worry about this moving forward. There should be NO cost to us associated with correcting this for him.

Aspen Dental Incomplete service and overcharge

On Jan 24, 2022, I went to see a doctor at Aspen Clinic, 4307 13th Street, Saint Cloud, FL 34771. My chordal at the right upper side of my mouth was very sensitive and could not chew on that side. I need it a simple extraction. I was informed by Aspen that I needed an X-ray and oral exam. Once the exam was performed, they informed me that I had an infection in my whole mouth — not true — and that I needed immediate deep cleaning and the extraction. The hygienist cleaned half of my mouth and declined to give me any antibiotics. She told me that with the cleaning the infection would be reduced an on my next appt, if needed, they would provide the antibiotics straight into my gums. Boloney! I paid $650 out of $1,750. Average tooth extraction in Saint Cloud is $350 - $400 no surgery involved. Teeth cleaning is $125 - $200 including X-Rays. I paid the X-ray extra. The hygienist was interrupted 3 times and left for 8-10 min because, she claimed, was assisting a doctor to avoid cancelling an appt. Unprofessional! When I returned for my next appt Aspen requested $782 approx. and declined to finish the "deep cleaning" (it was a normal cleaning with a fancy name). I told Aspen to finish the cleaning, but they refused, and I left. Here in St. Cloud and Miami dental clinics provide the service and you pay after. It was never explained to me that I had to pay in advance. I was scared and accepted their price. Their practice of scaring people is abusive and immoral they know that people believe in their doctors, nurses, police and firemen because they hold a position of legal and moral authority. I felt abused. I am requesting a refund of my $650 for an incomplete job and abusive behavior. I do not have a dental insurance. I receive my medical care at the VA hospital, (Retired from U.S. Army) but they do not provide dental care to our regret. Hector Enamorado, 6970 Big Bend Dr. St. Cloud, FL 34771. Email: [protected]@outlook.com Cordially, Hector

Desired outcome: Full Refund of the $650.00

Aspen Dental Misdiagnosis prolonged pain and suffering

On January 22nd I was seen at Aspen dental as an emergency walk in due to severe tooth pain. After some x-rays the dentist spent less than a minute with me telling me that I had a broken crown and fractured root canal resulting in an abscess.

He told me the tooth would need extracted and an implant placed. They quoted three procedures from a dental bridge and a removable plate to a complete implant. The cost of these ranged from $3, 000 to $8, 000.

Sent on my way, still in severe pain I had no recourse but to seek treatment with another dentist on January 24th. The next dentist took their own x-rays and discovered that there was not fracture, broken crown or root canal issue and the only issue was the abscess. This was confirmed by an endodontist on January 25th and I was given antibiotics and await a date to drain the abscess.

Aspen dental's misdiagnosis of a broken crown extended my pain and suffering as I had to wait for a second opinion. If I had followed their advice I would have undergone a very costly and unnecessary procedure and would be left with a dental prosthetic where one is not needed.

I am appalled by their business practices as in speaking with others it has become clear that Aspen has a track record of trying to sell expensive and unnecessary dental procedures and taking advantage of their patients.

I truly hope a class action lawsuit is filed. I will put my name boldly on the claim.

Aspen Dental 3 malpractice and consumer fraud

Hello, I believe 100% that Aspen used sales tactics on me sneaking additional charges in and no giving any information on my dental insurance coverage. Additionally, malpractice has been performed. I was overdiagnosed for gingivitis and they continued to tell me I needed to come in to do different procedures like scaling and root planing while my insurance saw from my Xrays and told them it wasn't required. They added small charges to my account without any notification or reason for the additions. Additionally, I believe they held back information they sent to my insurance to prevent the evidence of malpractice and to elongate the claim process. Finally, I got a cavity filled in and it has been extremely sensitive and in pain for the last year. Absolute crap company that doesn't answer their phones and has unqualified employees. This is the Summerville, SC location.

Aspen Dental Dentures

I got dentures from Sanford Aspen Dental clinic and was unhappy from the beginning. The teeth size don't match, the dentures cut into my gums and I can only wear them for a very short time before getting blisters. I told the dentist I wanted my money back in 2021 and he said okay but he would like to try to make it right if I would let him. After another year I am still unhappy but I was not aware that the money back guarantee only lasted for 90 days after receiving the (what they called) "final denture". He kept putting off giving me my money back until the 90 had passed. Now I'm out $4000 and have a worse problem than when I first started going there.

Desired outcome: Refund

Aspen Dental Crowns on teeth 20 and 29

I received a consults from Aspen Dental in Sanford, Florida in July 2021 that I needed crowns on these two teeth, I explained that they did not hurt and that 6 months ago my previous dentist in Santa Fe, Texas had said that I was okay and could wait for a long while. Aspen said that it would be covered by Guardian and Delta my dental plans. I was told after a few days that it had been approved. They insisted that I pay $350.40 as a co-pay even though the whole bill was supposed to be covered by my insurance according to them. Guardian Insurance asked them repeatedly for more information, I had to push them to respond and Guardian refused to cover this.

Aspen has refused to pay me back for my situation after they pushed me to get work done that was not needed. I asked them several times if this was approved and they said that it was, turns out that they lied to get my money. Richard M Jordan 5510 Baywater Dr. Tampa, FL 33615

Desired outcome: Pay me back the $350.40.

Aspen Dental Combination of malpractice and consumer fraud.

Charged me $1200+ for cleaning.
Filled two teeth, and one filling fell out after 30 days.
I initially payed $600 up front. They billed insurance my max allowance of $1000 and invoiced me an additional $663.
So, a total cost of $2263 for services.
The cleaning took less than 20 minutes.
They also tried to charge me $135 for a toothbrush.
There are other vague charges on the invoice as well.

Desired outcome: full refund

Aspen Dental My money back

I went to aspen dental in Forsyth, IL about 2 1/2 years ago to get a broken tooth fixed or pulled. They took me into their office and tried to get me to finance 9000.00. I did not he that kind of money... I told them I only wanted back tooth fixed or pulled... They GV me a price of 3800.00 and of course GV me care credit. My tooth became accessed 3 times! I was in terrible pain... It took me forever to get antibiotics or pain meds because Dr. V (head honcho) was on vacation out of office... Then to find out they had no intention of even touching that tooth... They messed up another tooth and tried to charge me for cavities etc... I went to another dentist who pulled the tooth, she said there was no saving it... And I did not hv cavities... They ended up banning me from their office and threatened to call the police if I did not leave! I paid my loan so I would not get my credit ruined. They (aspen) need to be held accountable... I should get my money back! They're crooks and never cared about my teeth or health... They're all about the $. I had called corporate in New York several times. They promised to make it right. What a joke. They never did!

Aspen Dental Back partials, top and bottom

I went to Aspen Dental in June2021 for a cleaning. They made up a list of things my teeth needed to have done. Partials we're on that list. I was told it would be simple to make partials for me so I could chew better. They started the partials a couple weeks later, after completion they did not fit right, they adjusted them 2 times while I was there. Then they said take them home, you'll get used to them. I had sore spots on my gums and I couldn't talk clear, felt like a large piece of plastic in the roof of my mouth. I went back in for them to adjust them, they did adjust them twice while I was there, they still didn't fit with out rubbing on my gums and having slurred speech. They finally said, I'm sorry but there's just nothing else we can do for you. So I have a little blue box with $2000 pair of partials that I can't wear, and Aspen Dental want fix.

Desired outcome: Make them fit or return my money

Aspen Dental Dentures

I started at the beginning of 2021 to have new dentures made. They did the x-rays and initial exam and said I needed a lower tooth pulled. I had been told previously that lower teeth were like gold and not to have them pulled but I was told it was not salvageable. I allowed the tooth to be pulled and they made temporary dentures for me. When I got home and examined the work that had been done, I realized that the tooth next to the space where they had pulled the lower tooth also had decay. Their solution was to also pull that tooth. After numerous appointments. fittings, temporary dentures they finally had the final dentures made. The lower dentures they told me had to be made at another lab and took longer to get back. After the lower dentures were received, I could not close the teeth in the front together because the back teeth were hitting. Their solution for this was to grind the back teeth on the upper dentures down until the front teeth could connect. This caused me not to be able to chew on that side because the back teeth do not meet now. The lower dentures metal plate cuts into my guns and they flop up and down when I eat. I went back to Aspen and expressed my desire to get my money back because I was unhappy with the dentures. They promised the wanted to fix the issues. I said I wasn't paying another dime which the Dr agreed. He said to fix the issue he would do implants on the lower. This was pulling all the rest of the lower permanent teeth as well.
I told him I would have to think about it. He said his office personnel would talk with me about it. When I got in the chair to speak to the office personnel she started off with the statement of "Applying the money already paid to the bill", I was angry and stood up and said I wasn't paying any more money since I did not have any confidence in their ability to do the work. I left the office. I received a message from the office manager asking if I wanted a phone call or an email to discuss the issue. I said I wanted a phone call. I received a text message telling me to call them. When I did call the office manager said I had waited a year to auk for my money back. That was not true since I had work done on the dentures just last week and it did not fix the issue.

Desired outcome: Refund
