Advance Auto Parts / E-Advancerefuse and lied about battery still being under 2yr warranty! discrimination!!

Hello my name is Shonda Curry.. I had my car serviced at Carolina Garage(lancaster, sc) back in 09/17/18 installing a battery was part of the work needed on my Dodge Journey.. by mid April, 2019.. I started having issues with the battery not keeping charged. At this time I had moved to Rockhill, sc.. I went to The nearest advance..ended up at the one on cherry Road.. Next to public grocery store. Mr. Darrell waited on me. He charge the battery for 30min -1hr. Told me the battery was good and ready to go. I pick up battery. Drove about 1week..started needing jump offs again. Before checking the battery again. I purchased a alternator and had it replaced.. I drove one day..needed a jump off. So I goes back to see mr.Darrell and he did everything including lied to me to keep me from giving another battery. Knowing it was under warranty.. I left the battery with him at 12:00 pm he told me he was the store manager and would be there until 6p and told me he would call me back as soon as it's charged. I ended up calling him around 4:50.. he then tells me the battery is dead. And from what he see it was out dated. And told me his boss stated that they would offer me a 20% discount off purchase of a new battery..on 6/20/19 my Machanic authorised advance in Lancaster, sc to release the bar code so mr. Darrell could see my battery was still under warranty. He stated that was the last time he was gonna do this, he insisted that I should have went back to the store I purchased from.. he was very nasty to me.. he also stated that he was putting in the notes that this doesn't extend my warranty... I felt so discriminated male vs. Female. He really didn't want to help me at all.. he told me the battery was at 12amp when I took it in.. but on the phone he stated when I brung it in it was 0 cranking.. When I brung him the barcode he stated he needed my license.. he didn't even want that nor the writtten barcode which he stated.. I told mr.Darrell that I wasn't a liar but he surely made me feel like a liar and a thief!! I have never been treated so unfairly at any advance auto store..until I entered this one. This man show's No kindness. And he didn't consider me as a loyal customer that has been buying parts as needed from advance auto. Very disappointing experience. But by the grace of GOD... I received my battery.. with no receipt because he wouldn't give it to me.. I will never go that advance ever Again

    I would suggest reaching out to either the district manager or corporate and share your experience to prevent this from happening to someone else in the future.
