I've given a three star simply because I'm overall pleased with ADT products and services. However, I was, indeed, very surprised today, 29 July 2025, with a technician, Damian, who came to my home to replace a security panel. It was a follow-up appointment to replace an IQ Panel Gen 2, which has been historically highly problematic. I was at the VA at the time, and unfortunately, my wife was alone at the house (never again) to intercept. This technician spent nearly two hours on the phone and also tried to install an old panel designated for a different residence, according to him. Even drilled new holes on the wall for nothing. Throughout, this tech spoke to my wife in a condescending and insulting manner. ADT personnel on the phone speaking to my wife even heard this tech with a bad attitude. His work was futile and our panel remains inop. Tech even reinstalled the old panel upside down.
I called ADT and informed them not to send this same tech with mental issues to my home for the next appointment. In fact, I told ADT to ensure Damian doesn't come near my property. ADT needs to vet their employees better, and definitely never send personnel to customers' homes with mental illness. Be vigilant.

Recommendation: For future home appointments, don't leave wives, daughters alone at the house without the husband, father's presence. Be vigilant and prepared. ADT is not vetting their employees well enough.
